Guest Reviews
- Terry (8/5): Great place to stay but... - Very tiny apartment with a steep ladder to the bedroom. The location is very good, close to the bus stop and excellent places to eat. If it wasn't for the ladder to the bed this would be a 5 star all the way. Also, you will need to carry your suitcases up stairs so pack lightly.
- Sarah (2/5): - We arrived late because of a hurricane but when we did we had trouble getting inside and the host never responded. Ended up having to book a different place to stay entirely.
- Jane (2/5): - Though Expedia, we were told that the owner would meet us with the key; however, no one ever met us because the owner had hired "Vikey" agency to handle the suite. The Vikey electronic door lock system provided very unreliable service! I would definitely avoid anything they handled! Their agent "Cynthia" is a fantasy. In fact her phone # doesn't even connect to anything that rings - nor does the 2nd # for Vikey. The system was down almost every time we tried to enter and we had to re-try at least 8 times. What happens if the power goes out? The information that the rental personnel provided to Expedia is a LIE!! We were contacted at least twice to provide our arrival time so that an agent could meet us; give us the key and show us around, but that did not happen. The location is great but people should be warned that they must be capable of climbing a steep ladder to get to the bed in the loft. They must also fit through a smallish hole as they climb so they can't be very bulky! The uncomfortable little seat on the main floor would be impossible to sleep on. But at least it is easy to get to the toilet from there. We found an info package in the suite. A previous renter had written across the front in capital letters: RUN AWAY. We were physically able to use the ladder - even during mid-night; the place was very needy but not filthy; the location was very good; the electronic key system was horrible; lying on Expedia is totally unacceptable!!
- Marcus (6/5): Great in summer, too cold for winter - The apartment had an interesting check in that was all via email with key codes given that worked for a fixed time. There is nothing on the door to the apartment to identify it and we had no phone signal once inside the building so you need to either screenshot the mail with the code on or connect to the wireless in the apartment from outside the door.
Once inside the apartment was a decent size but very cold, with tiled floors and just an AC/heater unit mounted high up on the wall. Although it had a mini kitchen there was no washing up liquid and also no soap in the bathroom. The rooms weren't that clean either and there was hair in the sink, shower and on the worktop.
The curtains were too short for the window which limited any hope of a lie in! The ladder to access the sleeping area was an unexpected novelty, it didn't cause any problems but could be off putting for a lot of guests.
I notice the property is known by 6 other names, which just screams 'dodgy' to me!
On the plus side, wireless was good, it was very quiet and the Colosseum was 3 minutes walk away.
- Annie (4/5): - Bedroom stairs were like an attic staircase not suitable for older clients. The bedroom ceiling was low so hit my head on it. The cleanliness was bad. Bugs everywhere. The bathroom was dated with polystyrene tykes for ceiling and smelt bad. The terrace was not private other windows overlooked and it was tired and old. The only positive thing was location. Was close to colosseum and restaurants. I wouldn’t stay again.
