• Laura (9/5): Tolles kleines Häuschen zur Erkundung der Snæfellsness-Halbinsel. - Sehr schönes kleines Häuschen in ruhiger Lage auf einem kleinen Hof (zusammen mit 6 oder 8 anderen kleinen Häuschen). Die Ausstattung war sehr praktisch, alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Tolle Aussicht und wirklich sehr ruhig. Man kann sogar eine Sauna nutzen (gegen Aufpreis). Der Preis für die Sauna war pro Person doch recht hoch.

• Marie (5/5): - La vue était très belle. Logement beaucoup trop cher pour ce qu’il est. Vendu comme un cottage de bonne facture alors que ce n’est pas du tout le cas : draps tachés, fauteuils sales et tachés, rideaux de douche tachés, sol sale et abîmé, meuble de cuisine cassé. La salle de bain est primaire, au vu du prix du logement et de ce qui est proposé ailleurs en Islande cela est scandaleux pour un logement comme celui-ci. Le confort n’y est pas. L’isolation non plus : on entend les voisins et le logement tremble à cause du vent. De plus, on propose un sauna en supplément, ce qui est compris dans tous les autres logements en Islande qui sont eux à un prix inférieur. Vraiment dommage.

The cottage was a real home from home with a lounge area, bed area, kitchenette in one room and a separate bathroom. The cottage or 'pod' is modern and very comfortable and situated to make the most of the views. Loved our stay here. Nothing.

A bit overheated on arrival (but better then cold in rainy days). Hot water boiler just on the side of the bed. No car charging possibility.

• Roman (10/5): Comfortable cottage with amazing views - New comforotable cottage with an amazing view on the sea and on the mountains. Perfect place for observing the northern lights. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, a lot of space. There are two cottages joined together with one terrace and therefore you can hear people walking from and into the second cottage which might be a bit annoying especially at night. However, the place itself and views are so amazing that it is worth a visit.

• Beth (10/5): Winter Paradise with Gorgeous Views - Before the property description, I would like to point out what a delightful experience I had with Sigrún, who was caretaking the property and helped me when I checked in. She was absolutely lovely and made sure I parked where the crazy wind storm wouldn't snap my door off! She was so kind and made sure everything was in good order, and she was really fun to talk to- so, that was the first part of my stay that was delightful! The property was off the beaten path in the best possible way- it was down a road with a gorgeous sea view and away from the city area. It was quiet with beautiful views, and the room was just perfect. It had a kitchen area, a great shower, super comfortable bed, and it was neat and clean as a pin. It was an extremely short drive to town and to Kirkjufell in case the Northern Lights popped out! Very close to some extremely friendly horses as well :) Just a wonderful stay- I didn't want to leave! Nothing

When I asked for extra coffee filters, they made sure I had them. It was fine. I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. We didn’t have a view, but I think that was our decision because the room Was a bit cheaper.

• Carmen (10/5): Tutto perfetto - Struttura molto bella, nuova e ben progettata. La vista sul fiordo è meravigliosa e il contesto naturale resta davvero suggestivo. La casa è eccezionale per l’osservazione dell’aurora boreale: abbiamo potuto ammirarne una fantastica, in un silenzio e una pace assoluti. La posizione è tranquilla ma comoda: il paese dista solo 10 minuti in auto, quindi è facile raggiungere servizi e negozi quando serve. In inverno offre un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Nelle giornate invernali particolarmente fredde (noi abbiamo trovato temperature intorno ai –10 °C) il riscaldamento potrebbe risultare un po’ limitato, essendo presente un solo split e un calorifero in bagno. Nulla di grave, ma con temperature molto rigide può richiedere un po’ di adattamento.

• Nancy (10/5): all wonderful - Couldn't have been more perfect. Everything - the cottage, the atmosphere, the incredible view, the nearby town AND the luck of seeing the Northern Lights! The front of the cottage was all glass so we sat inside with our hot tea taking in the view until we went outside to the deck when the lights appeared. It was wonderful! We didn't get to meet the hosts, but knew they lived on the property if we needed something and communication had been good. There was a great little guide to the cottage and area I saw just before we left. It was tucked below a small table so wish I had seen it sooner. We would most definitely stay there again!

• Christina (9/5): Immer wieder! - Das Cottage und die Lage waren mehr wie hervorragend. Einfach nur Wow! Wir haben direkt von der Terasse aus Polarlichter sehen können. Es war sauber und gut ausgestattet, dass Bett war sehr bequem. Das ist keine Kritik, sondern eher als Hinweis gemeint. Es hätte im Bad mehr Kleiderharken sein können bzw. ablage Möglichkeiten. Besteck sollte auch mehr vorhanden sein, weil ein Löffel gefehlt hat. Für die Mülltrennung sollen auch mehr Behälter da sein. Ist alles kein muss. Die Unterkunft ist der Hammer.

• Anne (8/5): - Die Lage ist absolut grandios, und wir konnten dort Polarlichter sehen. Den wirklich sehr starken Wind hat man im Haus nicht gespürt, drinnen war es sehr warm. Die Einrichtung ist ziemlich spartanisch und lieblos, zum Klapptisch gibt es nur zwei Hocker, und die Küchenausstattung ist eher rudimentär.

• Edwart (8/5): Mooi uitzicht over Kirkjufell - Via een gravel weg rijd je naar deze prachtige locatie op de helling van een berg met uitzicht op zee en de beroemde Kirkjufell berg. Appartement is knus en voorzien van alle gemakken. Twee kookpitten, wat pannen en servies om zelf te koken. En een koelkastje. Enige nadeel was de koelkast en de airco (buiten unit) die enorm veel lawaai maken.

• Richard (9/5): Good place to stay if you want to be a few miles out of town in the quiet country along the coast. - Location was great for us - well out of town and with sea views. Our second floor room was good size, bed was comfortable. Our particular view was to the north, not toward the town of Grundarfjordur which would have been nicer, but we knew that when we booked it. Next time would consider booking one of the cabins with south views. Outside stairway up to second floor rooms can be tricky with bags and wind/rain, but worked out OK. Driveway parking area a little muddy, but it's Iceland!

• Di (9/5): Good location and amazing view. - Excellent location - away from the city and good enough to witness the Northern Lights. The cabin was very cozy. I read a review that it was quite small so I know what to expect. I was surprised to see it's a self-service cabin as they have managed to provide basic equipment for cooking and heating food. It was enough for a one night stay.

Really appreciate the fact there was already coffee and filters for the coffee machine. Floor wasn’t wet washed or vacuumed before us (maybe I’m too neat but well haha). Couches really need a refresh! A bit noisy (I understand that all cabins in Iceland are noisy with wind and weather, but I’m talking about another kind of noisy): you can hear the door closing of a cabin next to you, or the random noice from the pipes.

• TREVOR (9/5): - A beautiful little cabin in a beautiful place. Had everything I needed. Well set up, cozy with a great view. Payment was asked for using a very dodgy looking app which did not work for me. I thought it could have been a scam but I received no answers to my messages to the property. I was able to pay using a credit card at the property.

• Nicola (7/5): Buono con qualche punto da migliorare - Torno qui per la terza volta a distanza di anni. Il posto merita sempre una visita, vince sicuramente l'estetica dell'esterno, la silenziosità, la vista, il letti molto comodi e le grandi vetrate. Buona la pulizia e perfetta la dotazione cucina. Ottimo il condizionamento. Rispetto alle mie precedenti visite ho trovato qualche disattenzione e qualche pecca, al di la della qualità degli interni che nel giro di qualche anno visto l'alto utilizzo della struttura, si sono notevolmente usurati (es, divano molto rovinato, porta del bagno rovinata per umidità), in un cottage che si colloca tra quelli di design, una caldaia a vista letto stona molto (bastava un pannello per coprire e nascondere gli impianti) inoltre tutti i prodotti da bagno erano vuoti, cosa che puo' sembrare banale o di poco conto , ma per la fascia di prezzo di questa sistemazione, mi aspetto di trovare tutto a posto, compreso un sistema che eviti (data l'assenza di pendenza del pavimento) di allagare bagno e cucina ad ogni doccia. Il consigli per migliorare la struttura sono: maggiore attenzione nella disponibilità dei prodotti bagno, coprire gli impianti tecnici e migliorare l'esperienza doccia.

• Tejas (10/5): Kirkjufell view cottages - I stayed here 4 times now and absolutely love these cottages! Great location just outside of Grundarfjordur...very quiet and peaceful with great views looking out to ocean, mountains/Kirkjufell, and beautiful sunsets! Cottage as everything you need even small stove plate on the kitchenette you feel like cooking. Hosts also great and reply in timely manner to emails.
