Guest Reviews
- Laura (6/5): Overall the kids loved it, it is very cool & had a good time other than th mold/mildew smell - Really cool place The inside smelled like mildew & mold. I’m not sure if it is from the way the tipi is built from plywood & covered with a really cool tarp on the outside. But I think it has mold in between the tarp & plywood & was very hard to sleep in or stay in without having to go back outside for fresh air. The a/c vent was also pretty dirty, so may have been both mold.
- Selinda74 (6/5): Beautiful - The accommodations were homey. It was comfortable and relaxing My tipi leaked during a storm. The rules are not regulated therefore we had problems with parking and quiet time after 9pm.
- Jacqueline (7/5): Great overnight stay for the kids - The grandkids loved it!! It was roomy inside with 2 queen size beds and a comfortable sofa with ottoman. I'm pretty sure it was a sleeper since the room could accommodate six adults. It has a quiet indoor Trane a/c unit, Vizio cable TV, no-fee wifi, storage box, plenty of electric outlets, and code-protected door. The private bathroom was clean, spacious for outdoors, with plenty of towels. No weird smells. Efficient low water pressure with hot/cold option. Outdoor games are a plus....Corn hole, ping pong, tether ball, volleyball. For those like me who dont want to grill, be sure to try Wicked Good Pizza in town. It is very close, reasonably priced tasty pizza, and plenty of menu selections. We ate a creamy, delicious popsicle while awaiting the pizza. Each one was $1 and a choice of flavors. Truly, I am not a camper/glamper. I did an overnight stay at the Tipi Campground for my grandkids to accompany our glass bottom boat tour at TSU. I hated the ideal of the modern outhouse and no windows in the tipi. No microwave, no carpet. Outdoor chairs, tables, lights, and fire ring were all in the back of the tipi while everyone else was in the front of the tipi as a community. The hanging lights did not work in the back. However, you must remember, I do not appreciate camping. My idea of a grill is an electric indoor grill. It's the only close-to-camping equipment I own. Ha-Ha!
