- christine (8/5): - Emplacement proche du centre et calme
- James (3/5): Unacceptable service and room conditions - N/a So much that is wrong with this hotel...
The main aggravating thing is that they advertise and offer airport shuttle service.. THIS IS A LIE. after an initial offer from them to arrange airport shuttle, they subsequently ignored all of my further efforts to contact them about this, I had to arrange my own transport to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel and raised this issue with them, I was told that management is on holiday. Not good enough.
Initially given a room with no window, despite the pictures showing light pouring in through a big window.
The bed was woeful. The whole mattress was worn out and all I could feel was metal and springs through the mattress. Terrible.
TV did not work properly several times.
I reiterate, for all my messages to be ignored is simply unacceptable.
- Atiqul (9/5): - Very good Location

- Ashik Das (9/5): Perfect place to stay for short periods - The staff was very nice. The room and the washroom was big. The location was perfect to catch all the attractions. No closet and only two hangers.

- Nurfarhanah (9/5): I was so in love with the place and I have no heart to leave. - Very comfortable Only one of the staff (morning receptionist) was being annoyed, unhelpful, not friendly, unable to manage inquiries politely. Other than her, the rest of the staffs and also the night receptionist were too good.
- Icarus (10/5): -
- WAN NU-RULHUDA (5/5): We love to coming back to Penang, hopefully the hotel is good for staying - We can sleep well and when the curtain is close the room is very dark. Parking, the room key and the pillow only have one

- Annika (7/5): Decent for short stay. - The hotel location is pretty unbeatable. The room is nice and spacious, as is the bathroom. Aircon was new and worked well. Good place for a short stay to explore Georgetown. Clean and modern. Close to main bus terminal. The room was advertised as "with window" but the window looks out to only a square meter of concrete (first pic), so I wouldn't really count it as window (or pay premium for it). The fridge didn't work the whole time we were there so we only had warm waters. There's laundry service which is handy but we found it quite expensive and some of our clothes shrank :(
Nothing really bad enough not to still recommend based on the cheap price!

- Adrian (7/5): Good - Front desk staff was not friendly. Indian Muslim lady did not smile nor greet any patron/visitor. Appreciate if they could educate her more on front desk service and hospitality.
- John (10/5): Excellent property - The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel has really good security, even requiring your card-key to activate the elevator. The room was super-nice, very modern, and really comfortable. Would definitely stay there again should I find myself in Penang George Town area.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (9/5): Convenient - Good location friendly staff
- Mario (8/5): Very good - It is super clean 😍 The location is perfect and the staff is one of the friendliest that you could have ever met. Spotty WiFi and the noise from neighbouring rooms might bothering you if guests are loud.
- Fareej (8/5): Amazing stay at Wifi Boutique, Georgetown Penang - Best is the attitude of the staff. Starting from Frond desk team to house keeping - each and every one as so humble and sincere. Although the unit is not a great one, at the end of the day, if you get satisfaction, that is it. In that respect, this one is an amazing one. If I get an opportunity, I will go and stay once again. Bathroom facilities can be better. For instance, the shower unit can be better. Similarly the sound proof in the rooms were not up to the standard. Late check ins in the middle of the night of early morning caused a lot of noise and it was difficult to get a good sleep.
Initially I was offered a room where the aircondition was not proper. This could have been checked in advance without the customer need to complian and ask for a change of room. Aircondition in the replacement room was fantastic although.
- Kors (6/5): Pleasant - Spacious room, huge and comfortable bed. Location was fine, is walkable to most things. Towels were a bit old and broken. There was barely any water pressure in the shower. Only one electricity socket actually worked.
- Hari (8/5): Good stay - Clean Clean
- Tereza (9/5): Superb -
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional - Great room, very spacious and the bathroom is fantastic with a nice big shower. Location is pretty good, about a 15-20 minute walk to the town centre
- Ummu (10/5): Exceptional - Highly recommended! Clean rooms and friendly staff with exceptional service. The check in & out was smooth. I like the cleanliness of the bed and the amenities as well. The location was perfect. Easy and free parking provided. None
- Lynn (10/5): - Very sanitaized room. Will stay again. Lovely friendly staff.
- Lotti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shukry (8/5): Everything is good - The staff welcome is good Everything good nice place to stay in middle town of penang
- Darshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zainuddin (8/5): Very good -
- Ashandrin (7/5): Cozy hotel with a good location to popular attractions. - The staff were really friendly and helpful, hotel offers reasonable baggage hold if you arrive before check-in. The room is modernized, cozy and clean. Good location within walking distance to the malls and 20-30 min walk to the hub of Georgetown. The hotel could invest in better WiFi. You can hear direct neighbours conversations and more at all hours of the night. Pro tip: have a power bank.
- Nate (9/5): Superb - Location is the best feature. It is near to the eateries and local cafes that a true Penangite likes. The room is also spacious and functionally simple. Walls are thin so you can hear the next room talking.
The parking is limited and the space narrow.
- farisan2024 (10/5): 3 stars budget, but 5 stars services🔥 - If you’re on a tight budget, I would highly recommend this hotel! It’s within walking distance of 1st Avenue Mall and located next to a really good nasi kandar restaurant. The room is very clean, and as someone who’s very picky about bedrooms, I found it incredibly comfortable to stay in.
The staff are very helpful and kind. They provided me with a hairdryer and a charger adaptor, making it the best experience I’ve had so far. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe they also have bikes available for borrowing—just double-check with the staff to confirm.
If you’re planning to take the bus, there’s a terminal near 1st Avenue Mall that can take you anywhere in George Town. Have a wonderful holiday!
- Robert (8/5): - The room was OK, good, comfortable bed, big clean bathroom with decent water pressure ( although there was a drainage issue with the sink. For a place with WIFI in the name the connectivity was less than average. Difficulty with maintaining a signal and streaming was terrible. The area to the rear of the hotel is also noisy, with dogs barking and roosters crowing. So if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.
- Yvonne (8/5): Good place for a short stay. - Good place to stay in Penang.
If you can believe it, the wifi was spotty so, we had to use our data during our entire trip. Beds were fairly comfortable, hot water was good in the shower &, there was soap, shower gel, shampoo etc.
The hallway on the 3rd floor smelled like mold but, our room did not. I mentioned it to the staff during check out.
The views from the rooms are not pretty & the 5:00 rooster call was a bit annoying.
- Marcelnl (6/5): Pleasant - Car parking and location. For a hotel called Wifi Boutique hotel the wifi is really bad. Couldn't do a proper video call (in afternoon).
Staff at reception could be more welcoming.
- Hui (9/5): Superb - The room comes with toiletries including towels, toothbrush, shower cap, ear buds, comb & etc. Other than a TV, they also provide a refrigerator in the room. Coffee, tea & milo provided too. The kettle is broken when we arrive but the staff exchange another one with us. Hair dryer can be borrowed from the front desk as well.
All the staff is friendly except one Indian lady at the front desk. But overall it is good.
Wifi is good.
Good location near to Hin bus depot, we joined some event there during the stay. Also near to pasar Cecil, which has a lot of local food selling there. We had our breakfast at the pasar during the stay! The hotel provides parking lots but the parking space is quite small and narrow. Luckily the time we stay is not the weekend or holiday season so there is no any issue.
Only one room card provided. It is not so convenient for the guests comes with family because we need a room card for room power supply, we also need the card when using the lift. So all the family members have to go in or go out together.
- Paul (6/5): Functional, clean and convenient - The property is relatively good value for the price. Functional and clean.
- Arthur (7/5): Good - mi have nothing to complain about
- chris (8/5): - Great value for the price. Very clean & great Wifi. Only complaint is that the shower pressure was too low.
- Jodie (7/5): Good - The location was good. Nice places to eat nearby. The staff were really accommodating. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. Noise. You could often hear doors slamming quite loudly. Also, I was in a room with an adjoining door and the family staying next to me came home at 1:30am - it was like I had unexpected flatmates move in. I could hear everything. I mentioned this to reception the next day & they moved me to another floor, but the room also had an adjoining door. I had one quiet night, then people staying next to me the following night, so the same problem. Don't get one of the adjoining rooms if possible, unless that is what you are after.
- Wichapa (9/5): Superb -
- Yoon Siew (10/5): - Good location with supermarket nearby. Two coffeeshop with hawker foods nearby too. Room is spacious and clean. Will stay again next round
- Chang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louis (7/5): Comfortable modern room let down by WiFi, location and noise - CLEANING STAFF WERE LOVELY! Given lots of bottled water! Comfy, big bed! Big room and nice bathroom! Good air con WiFi was awful ironically. Not in walking distance to most eateries and attractions. Very thin walls - could hear neighbours talking, burping and switching on light switches!!!!
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Ng (8/5): A pleasant stay n we prob be back on the future - It is clean n comfortable
Staff were courteous n helpful
Good location to get to the surrounding food venue n attractions Poor wifi connection
- Ken (9/5): Would stay again. Everything was good! - Nice, spacious, relatively modern rooms. Good hot shower. Clean. Some local restaurants (few mins walk), coffee shops and fabulous ice cream parlour!
20 mins walk into the main town for bars, street food etc. WiFi wasn’t great!
- Vini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael E (8/5): - Staff was really helpful. Shower was warm but low water pressure. Top floor bicycle museum really cool.
- Khadijah (6/5): At least i can wander around n saw few durians n shops that i can appreciate..near the hotel - Not applicable I didnt like the location as it was near a busy street..being alone crossing the street is dangerous for me..so i wont bother wth this hotel..but dtaff wasxhelpful pity i wont be staying again
- Arsyad (7/5): All in all, it was a great stay - Everything was nice in this hotel The water pressure is really really slow. Please invest on a good water pump to solve this issue
- David (8/5): - Bicycle museum was a highlight
- Stefan (10/5): Great! I recommend it! - Very clean, good wifi, good experience with the employees, everything went great.
- Yuet (8/5): Very good - Very friendly and helpful staff The bed too low and the outer bed frame not friendly to short people and elderly people.
- You Mao (8/5): - Nice place and close to Komtar. Easy to walk around for food and places. Plus point is there is a Malaya bicycle museum on top root. Good for Flfree and easy short-term vacation
- Iain (9/5): Superb -
- Siti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phurichaya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ekasari (9/5): Superb -
- Qudsia (8/5): Great stay - Great location, only minutes walk from touristy attractions.
The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. None
- Yong (10/5): Exceptional - is clean and have a public balcony and near to everything. A local market with just five minutes walk to get local food and 5 minutes to komtar and hin depot. A mix and match area where you can get the local stuff and the tourist stuff and it have a cool bicycle museum.
- Christoph (8/5): Very good - Clean and everyday room service without asking. Location near Bus station and many restaurants with less tourists and good prices. Very friendly hotel staff. Bicycle museum in the same building and free of charge. Overall nothing big to complain about.
Additional tourist tax of 10 MYR needs to be paid on top. WiFi speed is sometimes a bit slow. A drinking water dispenser would be fine to save plastic bottles wastes.
- Saravanan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chee (8/5): Very good -
- Forgivemeforihavesin (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good - even perfect for bicycle fans - Nice to get the bicycle from the hotel for free No breakfast place in the hotel
- Julie (10/5): Great budget hotel - Good location for exploring downtown Georgetown. 5min walk to Cecil Street market for Penang style breakfast. Very clean room and bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful.
- Ma (8/5): Value for money - Clean, quiet and friendly staffs. Water heater quality not so good. poor sound insulation.
- Sundeep (8/5): Very good -
- Roberto (6/5): - Good hotel central location.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samir (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Quiet room, nearby most eats and walking distance around the town area. Owh yea and to forget about the Museum Bicycle at the top floor worth a visit. The walls are a little stained, and need some touch-up.
- Jurate (5/5): If you are sensitive sleeper earplugs are needed! - Clean and very bright room I was glad to find that our room was not facing the main street, so I was expecting a good night sleep, however at night I woke up several times because of the dogs barking loudly and then rooster started to scream around 4.30... and then for the culmination I heard a laud bang from inside the room - the bed frames that hold the mattress felt down on the side where my husband was (he is not overweight just 78kg 😁) so we had to get up and lift the mattress and fix it... The main bed frame should be strengthened in the middle, so it doesn't open up.
Plus, there was a very visibly burned hole in the fabric on the bench that it's sooo easy to be fixed/covered up..
- Puah (10/5): - Location is not bad. Quite central to good food but certainly not within short walking distance. Room is clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We were on level 3 and Wi-Fi was excellent.
- Quah (8/5): Very good - It's clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniels (8/5): Very good - Location good Noises could be heard from adjoining room
- Philipp (7/5): Good - staff is helpful and nice, relatively clean and new rooms wi-if was surprisingly terrible😂 that’s the matter of bad score
- Francesco (6/5): Pleasant - Clean Wifi doesn't work and the balcony Is not accesible if you don't stay in the same floor
- Hs (8/5): Very good -
- Suhazri (9/5): great for short trip in Georgetown - nice location. enough parking available. no breakfast offered/ no cafe
- Julien (6/5): Pleasant - the hotel is old
- Fitriah (9/5): Superb -
- Johnny (8/5): Very good -
- Mohd (9/5): Superb -
- Yi (5/5): Passable - Location is pretty good as it's in Georgetown, liked that parking space is provided.
Bed was okay quite comfy, bathroom is quite clean, bedsheet and towels a bit old but still okay. Very poor soundproofing of the rooms. Can hear next room's conversation clearly which can disturb your peace.
- Simran (8/5): Good stay - Not too far from everything, easy to get around, clean rooms
- Kim (10/5): Excellent - All staff are very friendly and efficient.
Rates reasonable. Highly recommended. 👍 Cannot think of any negative remarks.
- Frank (6/5): - We ran out of toilet paper and went down to front desk. The person on dirty told us we had to wait until 9:00 am when the house keeping opened. I told the person that was ridiculous. Her reply was “we are not 5-stars hotel. What kind attitude.
