Guest Reviews
- Rebecca (8/5): - Location and number of bedrooms. It was also easy to book and the owner communicated well. We were also allowed in early. Only one toilet / bathroom.
- Daisy-Bo (10/5): -
- Jack (10/5): Brilliant - Really nice! Nothing
- Nicola (8/5): Perfect for exploring the city. - Fantastic location! Perfect for a group of 9 girls who are good friends so weren't put off by the 1 bathroom situation! Plenty of space to all sit together and relax after a day of shopping and exploring. Check in and out was easy.
Everyone had a shower with plenty of hot water.
Amazing views - we got to watch the Palm Sunday parade up close! A few of the beds had uncomfortable mattresses but fine for a night!
It wasn't made clear that one of the bedrooms had to be accessed via another one. We were fine as we have been friends for a long time but other groups might not be happy with it.
- Catherine (9/5): It was a real treat to stay within a stone’s throw of the cathedral - Really spacious and fabulous central location There’s only one bathroom and toilet
- Robert (8/5): -
- Sophie Coates (10/5): - I liked how close the air bnb was to everything in Lincoln. It had amazing views. The beds were comfortable, the whole place was very tidy and smelt fresh. Would happily stay again. There was only one toilet, so between 8-10 people. It was ok, as we are all friends and got on with it. There was also no lock on the door.
- Guest (10/5): So central - Location, space, everything you could want is there Only one bathroom
- Richard (9/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Niki (10/5): Excellent all 10 enjoyed it - Everything we met friends there that were paying extortionate amount for hotels & not within walking distance.
We will definitely book again Nothing
- cheri (9/5): - Amazing place absolutely huge great for a big party of people , the location was perfect , only down side if I had to give one was only one bathroom ,
Nice little touches of games being supplied and lots of kitchen bits
- Michael (10/5): -
- Thomas (7/5): -
- william (10/5): Amazing - The location was exceptional...and the property was amazing As a first time visitor the only gripe was the directions to the property... maybe include what 3 words location as we had to go off pictures from maps app ... other than that everything was amazing
- Debra (10/5): Fab stay in a lovely apartment - Location was amazing and apartment lovely. Would defo book again The only downside was it only had one bathroom.
- Warby (9/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): - Location was great stayed for my hen night
- Deborah (8/5): - Just an extra toilet
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely perfect location fab apartment, well equipped. Cannot fault would definitely stay again Nothing, was perfect
- Rose (4/5): Disappointed needs updating. - Beds were clean and comfortable. Position near Cathedral excellent Good communication. Needs upgrading very poor standard. Advertised as 5 bedrooms but one is accessed through another bedroom and entry into a loft type room up some wooden steps.not good for elderly people. Only ONE SHOWEROOM with 1 toilet which is off the living room, so upper floor 2 beds and loft room have to access by coming down a somewhat steep set of stairs.
Curtains and blinds are useless and a disgrace need completely renewing, don't cover windows and let light in.
Kitchen equipment poor mismatched cups etc.
Bedside lights not plugged in so of no use. Shortage of mirrors, chairs in bedrooms .
No hanging rails or coathangers in some rooms. One bed iron type had end bedstead brass balls missing so quite unappealing and sharp.
Shower room no hot water in the morning we rang for help and partially rectified. The toilet seat is tatty and needs replacing.
Front door is grubby and entrance hall very uninviting. Apartment accessed by a set of steep stairs with twist at the top. A safety measure needs to be placed at top of stairs.Next door to a pub so cigarettes stubs covering the ground as you access the front door.
Flooring has many marks on needs replacing.
We were a group of 6 ladies of a certain age, the property didn't meet our expectations in many ways. We were only staying one night and were thankful.
It could be a lovely place but someone needs to take a long hard look at the finer details.
I am surprised Booking. Com is happy to recommend this place with such high esteem , not excellent in many ways. So disappointed.
- Harriet (10/5): Perfect central Lincoln house. - Incredible location in the heart of Lincoln in a beautiful old house with 5 double bedrooms. Perfect for a reunion of 5 friends. Nothing!
- Kornela (8/5): Exceptional stay at an amazingly located property - Location was great, communications with the host also very good. We had no issues at all. The property was clean and provided exactly what we needed for the group of friends to get together and access all the amenities within the town.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb - Location was perfect, size of rooms and living space excellent Could do with a second bathroom, not a reason to not stay at this great venue, would just be handy
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (10/5): Great location, comfy and clean - Spacious, clean and location was fantastic. Right in the middle of the city, there is literally a bar/restaurant next door that does great food and drink Nothing to complain about
- Alec (9/5): Superb -
- Angie (10/5): Amazing - We as a family love staying here in a great location
- Louise (10/5): Stay was excellent - Location and property is amazing, its the 2nd time I have booked this property and would use again and reccomend to others Lack of kitchen cooking equipment. The property could do with some vanity mirrors in each room too. As there is only one bathroom, space is limited. I was with a group of friends ( all ladies ) and getting ready for an event so all of us could have done with using a mirror for hair and make up but were limited.
- April (10/5): Views amazing defently would stay again - Location and views You could see in the shower from the side window in front room
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (9/5): Superb - Location and big enough for all 10 of us. Only one bathroom but was OK for a weekend.
- Lisa (3/5): Very cold and disappointing. - Location Very very cold, heating didn’t work. We were freezing all night and couldn’t have showers in the morning as apartment was too cold. Only 1 bathroom for 10 people. Blinds and chairs need replacing as all ripped. Reported heating and was told manager would be told and get back to me but I never heard back. I sent an email but they haven’t responded to that either. Very disappointing.
- Darrel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (9/5): Superb -
- Lewis (9/5): Perfect location - Perfect location, big living room and dining area for socialising.
- Philip (8/5): In a fantastic location - We thought it was in a fantastic location, right next to the Cathedral and Castle.. The reception team was very helpful with check-in.. The beds were comfortable and nice clean towels. The supply of toiletries and washing up liquid etc was an excellent touch.
The use of a keypad instead of a key was also a good touch. The lack of cutlery and crockery there wasn't enough mugs, teaspoons, etc. No oven dishes. Could do with oven gloves and an extra tea towel.
Really could do with an extra bathroom or even just an extra toilet for the number of guests it was a bit chaotic. Mirrors would be great in all bedrooms.
General refurbishment of bedrooms and living room is needed.
- Sarah (10/5): When arrived had to ring through as hadn’t had the code for the door so couldn’t get in the property took several phone -
- Carole (5/5): Ok - On the website it states most popular facilities are parking. I chose this apartment for the location and parking because we had a disabled person in our party. Before our arrival I telephoned and was informed there wasn’t parking at the property and we would have to use the public car park. I asked if I could reduce my final cost by taking off the parking fee. They refused so we ended up paying £28.50 for three cars. Very misleading information on site.
- Nicola (9/5): Superb - Setting was exceptional, old world charm all around. Great location for our sons graduation ceremony. Bed in master was a bit creaking.
- Manuel (9/5): Excellent location, good kitchen facilities and 5 large bedrooms - Location and space Wi-Fi wouldn’t work, shower needs mould in the plastic trim removing - probably better to replace the shower.. the toilet seat needs replacing.
- Emily (8/5): Perfect for a night’s stay !!! - It’s location and quirky layout. Appeals to all age groups. Everything you need for a short stay. The property was very clean - excellent 😄 Mattresses in the 2 lower bedrooms need changing. A little noisy and uncomfortable. Although the property was very clean, the decor needs attention as it is a looking a little tired. There are several blinds missing in the bedrooms mentioned and the curtains are a little small in one of the rooms (they don’t meet).
- Isabell (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Margaret (7/5): Large Apartment in Cathedral Square - Perfect location to visit Lincoln Cathedral and Castle as apartment is situated inside Cathedral Square. Walking distance for cafés, restaurants and pubs, as well as small artisan shops. Gorgeous views of cathdral and Lincoln from inside the apartment. The size of the apartment was ideal for our group of 10 people. Being left to our own devices with no interference from owners. Towels, toilet roll, hand and body washes, all provided. Good facilities, including washing machine, dryer, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, cooker, and hairdryer. Large TV and WiFi. Nice shower. Very large bedrooms. Good, big, sociable living area. Only one bathroom, but it's a listed building and 10 of us managed fine. Not the cleanest property I've been to, but beds were clean. I love the cathedral chimes, but some others might find the noise a problem. Parking is about £10 per 24 hours in public car park, but not really much considering location, and we always found a space. Stairs up to apartment not ideal for people with mobility issues.
- Claire (10/5): Fantastic location, great value - Fantastic location, couldn’t have been better.
Spacious very clean rooms and beds. Very comfortable. Great for our need to attend a party at the assembly rooms. Minor points but needs a dish drainer as the draining washed pots are ruining the worktop. The kitchen sink has a leak under, only discovered as there was no plug to wash the mugs and glasses we had used so needed the bowl from underneath.
The bedroom windows need better fitting curtains/blinds, the rooms overlooking the street can be looked into from certain side angles with current window dressings closed as best as they can.
Need mirrors in the bedrooms. Great mirror in living room, bathroom and stairs but light not right there for makeup and as only one bathroom between 10 people not practical to hog the one in there that is bright.
- Julie (10/5): Fabulous place for a group of adults Exploring the city . - Spacious and clean . All rooms well set out . Only one toilet ( we were aware and would nt stop us rebooking )
Top of stairs a little precarious after an evening out . Placed chairs at top to form a barrier .
- Emma (7/5): Great location, basic base to explore beautiful Lincoln from. - Location was excellent. Everything worked. The hosts were great. Nice supplies, tea/coffee/toiletries etc. The apartment itself really needs a fresh lick of paint and some tlc to become an enjoyable space to be in. A door number outside would be useful too.
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Great location It's advertised as a 5 bed roomed but there was only 4.
To say it's meant to accommodate at least 8to 10 people there is hardly any plates, cups, glasses or anything really in the kitchen. No music channel on the TV.
- Cally (7/5): ideal location - perfect location strange furniture and could do with a second toilet
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent and the apartment itself was perfect for our needs. N/A
- Saphia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (10/5): Would book again - Very helpful staff
Excellent accommodation
Handy location
Very large rooms No door number so struggled to find.
Waited until alloted time for code but had to ring up for it.
- Emma (9/5): Great value for money and a brilliant location at this roomy accommodation with everything required. - I had to request the key code as it hadn't been sent. However the response was quick. Only one toilet for up to 10 people.
- James (10/5): a very brief but enjoyable stay - Great location.
spacious rooms and very central nothing all good
- Sonnie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (9/5): Fabulous place in a great location, would definitely book to stay again. - Very spacious, all rooms where a good size. All beds where freshly made up on arrival. It was well heated cosy and warm throughout the night. Only thing that was disappointing is that there is only 1 shared bathroom between 10 people.
- Michaela (8/5): Worth it for location alone. - Amazing location walked straight out of the front door and can see the castle and cathedral on either side of you. Huge space, very well equipped. We stayed in winter and the house was absolutely freezing. It took until the next morning to be warm enough where people weren't shivering and was far too cold to use the shower the first night. That was the only real downside, also be aware the property shouldn't really be classed as five separate doubles, the last bedroom is accessed via a ladder through one of the other rooms although this would be perfect as a family room.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Excellent accommodation, would definitely use again. - Location was excellent, it was clean, spacious and the facilities were all good. Alarm outside room number 2 went off twice 1:30 and 3:45. Couldn’t sleep while it was going, had to move to lounge area until it went off.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frances (8/5): Very good - it was very near to the castle and cathedral only one bathroom and toilet. not enough for a property that can accommodate ten people
- Robert (7/5): Ok - location hot water & heating system required minor maintenance. Electric kettle required replacement.
- Georgina (8/5): Great for big groups. Excellent location. - Excellent location right by the cathedral. Really big space with great facilities. Perfect for a large group.
- Mike (3/5): Disappointed - Very difficult to gain access, no hot water for showers and no WiFi code.
- Nick (7/5): Astonishing location, but a little run down - The location is simply exceptional. It is 25m from the cathedral and 50, m from the castle. It's also good value for money. Poor customer service. Had to chase to get the door code. They didn't respond to messages, and when eventually reached by phone, they didn't do any security checks so they effectively gave out what I guess is a static door code to strangers.
There's only one toilet for 10 people so be ready with a loo rota!
- Amy (1/5): Bad - Not clean!! Found what appeared to be a used condom in one of the bedrooms from previous guests which shows rooms have not been cleaned properly and as if that wasn’t enough - no hot water working in the shower. Absolutely disgusting. Tried to complain to management multiple times and had no response.
- Ornai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (8/5): Great location, the property was a tad tired in places. - No long mirrors in the bedrooms.
Way to hot, Windows don't open.
- Heaton (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
