The bed was very comfortable, the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own food and the parking was free and very close. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town and the British military cemetery. The owner was delightful.

We enjoyed the many places within walking to dine. There was no coffee or tea in the room. I felt the bed was too hard.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor stay - We spent two nights in this hotel and would not go back. The rooms are tiny, barely in enough room to walk around the bed. We have experienced small rooms in Europe, but besides being very small, these were very plain no decoration at all, almost like some kind of cheap motel. They have an extremely inflexible check in check out policy, which made it difficult for us. We arrived at 2 o’clock from the train and they did not open the hotel again till 4 o’clock. We were able to put our luggage in a room in the hotel, but it was not secured at all and any employee or hotel guest would’ve had access to our luggage. They are closed and I mean no one is there at all. The place is completely locked up from noon to four. Check out is at 10:30. We asked if we could check out at 11 and they said absolutely not. So can we had to pack our bags up and leave them in this front room of the hotel basically unsecured. In general, not a great day.

The shower was smaller than I like, but acceptable; especially for eu. People who have mobility problems may have issues getting up the winding stairs so make sure you notify the host so they can put you in an easier room!

The room was well-equipped and included a fan to enhance the comfort of our stay. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating, especially considering our late arrival. They were responsive through the Expedia chat feature, which was a great convenience. However, there were a few minor issues. One staff member miscommunicated about breakfast being included in the rate, and about the parking matter, which generated some confusion.

- Laura (10/5): Great stay, wonderful location!! - A beautiful and clean hotel in a fabulous location! There was lots of street parking nearby and a large car park about a block away. There was a good grocery store a short walk and the weekly market is steps away. This made it easy to shop and cook in the well appointed kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and lots of towels were provided. The only issue with comfort for us during a "heatwave" was no airconditioning. A fan was provided, and a good cross breeze could be achieved by opening the windows. The lack of AC was more of an issue because we were traveling with a baby. The location was wonderful and the room was clean and in a beautifully restored old building with lots of character. We will definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the city.
- Melissa (8/5): - We stayed two nights. Their hours are LIMITED so you can’t check in until after 4pm, no one is in the reception building until then. Luckily for us after a couple phone calls we were able to get the door code to drop our bags in a seating area. The property is cute. Very basic. No amenities and only a bar of soap in the bathroom. The location is great. We walked from the train station took just over 20 minutes with our large heavy backpacks. We were pleasantly surprised by the room cleaning we received after only 1 night, most hotels don’t do those anymore unless you ask. If you’re looking for a place to sleep this is a great option. If you’re looking for anything other than that I would suggest somewhere else.

Bring your own washcloth, shampoo and soap. Close to the "nightlife" - keep in mind Bayeux rolls up the sidewalks at 1800. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Brasserie Des Ducs is close and has great food and drinks. Bayeux is the place to stay for day trips to Normandy Beaches and Mont St Michel rather than long trips from Paris.

- kelly (10/5): - We loved this little property! The first night we stayed in an upstairs bedroom with a loft. The second night was on the first floor in an ADA compliant room. On the first night, the stairways were very narrow and steep and our luggage was heavy! This is not the hotel's fault at all, of course!! The room with a loft was a little awkward because there was a toilet on the bottom floor with no sink. The sink and shower was in the loft. If you were travelling with friends or family, you would have to disturb the loft inhabitants in order to wash your hands. The bed and room itself was very comfortable. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and hearty. Bayeux is a quaint little town with excellent shopping, dining and people. We would definitely stay here again.

The property has been converted into a hotel and is kind of weird for that reason, at least from an American perspective. The second queen bed is up a very steep flight of stairs. The toilet is downstairs, but the sink and shower are upstairs. Perfectly professional and serviceable, but not excellent.

- Wendy (10/5): Cute place with easy access to city center & roads - We were able to find street parking right at our hotel both nights yet we could easily walk into town for dinner, snacks, or entertainment. Since the hotel is near the edge of town it was also easy to get out to our points of interest. The room was clean and held safe and the staff was friendly. We opted for breakfast one morning and although great to have it handy we wise to eat out the next morning.

- Tiffany (10/5): - This was an absolutely adorable location. To start, the staff was genuine and interested/ thankful for your visit. I could tell immediately that they took pride in the property and wanted you to have the very best experience. The room was wonderful. It was simple, clean, and fully stocked with anything that you could need. It is a walk from the center of town, but you walk along a main strip with all sorts of shops and cafe's. The stay was super quiet and peaceful. I loved the simplicity and peacefulness. My only regret was my stay was not long. I would absolutely go back for a longer retreat!

- Jan (8/5): - Fantastic location with easy access to old town. Excellent welcome to the hotel. I'd you are looking for amenities like coffee, tea, kettle pr fridge you won't find it here. Unfortunately they do not have an in room safe (or at least we could not find it. But again, location is key. Close to Bayeux station, just stand at the taxi sign (you need to call for a taxi unless you get lucky and one happens to arrive.

- Rebecca (10/5): - Conveniently located on a main road, with free parking along the street. Easy walking distance to the WW 2 tour departure points. The quirky building seems maybe to be a couple buildings cobbled together. The result is a beautiful space, with comfortable rooms and lovely breakfast each morning. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

- Jay (8/5): - Hotel is adjacent to restaurants and bars and main shopping district. There is public transit, but this is more of a driving destination, especially if you're visiting Normandy attractions. Hotel is quaint with a small cute courtyard. Be aware of their check in hours as they are not staffed in the middle of the afternoon. No AC but fan and fairly comfortable temperatures given distance to channel. Easy free parking nearby.

Luckily Ilene came to let us in but the reception area doesn't open till 4pm which I thought was strange. Guests can't control when the train will arrive and need to be able to drop luggage.

- Burns (10/5): Worth a stay! - Friendly staff, tidy hotel just 13 min's walk to the town centre. The market held on a Saturday is less than 5 min's away with hot food, fruit and vegetable and other delicacies (oysters!!).
- Eric (10/5): Great stay, wonderful location - Great location, friendly, accommodating service and a very comfortable, well designed room (we stayed in a suite). Spacious with convenient and adequate storage. I highly recommend this hotel.

- Mary (10/5): - It was a comfortable and quiet stay. My only recommendation would be to fill the refillable dispenser in the shower with a nice body wash/ shampoo instead of just liquid soap. That being said I loved the towel warmer and will be asking my husband to install one.

- Lynn (10/5): Nice boutique hotel - Nice little boutique hotel in downtown Bayeux, with a delightful and helpful proprietress. Bed was a bit hard for me but fine for husband. Breakfast was continental, with added sausages and hard boiled eggs. We especially enjoyed the hotel’s rather central location.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Very quiet, clean. Great bed, really nice shower. There aren’t a lot of breakfast options in Bayeux, so you might want to eat here.
