Verified traveler (6/5): - We were so excited to stay at this property and have been to Rome several times. When we arrived in a rental car at 2:30 in the afternoon on Sunday, we took up everything we could fit into the lift leaving our 2 largest suitcases in the car. In the time it took delivering the first round of luggage, our rental car window was smashed and our luggage stolen. Despite the rental property information stating it's open 7 days and week and providing an emergency number, there was no answer for the first couple hours. When we finally got the property manager to call he directed us to a local police station which was great (download a translation app for that!). The building is nice, but not overly friendly. I assume they know this is a vacation rental and it's not a warm environment. The neighborhood is not very clean and you constantly need to watch where you step (dogs). The apartment is very spacious and beautiful, but there are definite signs of needing updated. The thermostat was hard to manage and right under the call receiver. We accidentally knocked it off and were called about it and had no idea. It would have been nice to know about the call system/ buzzer since they only provide 1 key and our group was not always doing the same thing. It was inconvenient. The location was good - we ended up taking the rental car back and taxi'd all over the city which was usually about 12 euro and cabs were convenient. There is a local grocery and some nice spots to eat right around it.
