Marcella (10/5): We loved the quiet location, topical garden, and salt pool at this beautiful little inn, and enjoyed being right at the - The pool is salt water, very clean, and peaceful. The large covered patio with table, chairs, hammock, and fans is really nice to have, especially during rainy season. I got a very quick response using what’s app to any questions. We easily found everything we needed, even conveniences like scissors, plastic wrap, a shopping bag, and good knife for cutting fruit. Eduardo, the on-site staff, was helpful and kept everything in good order. The smaller fan on the patio was old and loud, but necessary to keep the mosquitos at bay.

Nos instalaron en la habitación equivocada, nos hicieron mover todas nuestras cosas después de instalados, nadie nos atendia ni teléfonos ni wassap nada. La piscina sucia, y la habitación no era como en las fotos. Me arruinaron mis vacaciones. Y sin WIFI los 4 días pese a que reclame en varias ocasiones aun espero que me contesten.
Cheryl (9/5): Looking forward to coming back......................... - It was very clean. Has a nice kitchen area. Property was lovely. We were on the ground floor, which was awesome, as we do have some mobility issues, and the pool was literally outside our door. Access to beach was incredible. Loved that we could safely drink the tap water and appreciated them having a pitcher of cold water in the refrigerator when we arrived. Our only REAL complaint about our room, was that the fitted sheet on the bed would not stay "fitted" and made sleeping sometimes a little uncomfortable as it kept slipping and the mattress protector was plastic and was not really nice to sleep on. The road to get to the hotel was horrible, but we knew ahead of time, and were prepared.

Gary (10/5): We loved Casa Sueca and hope to come back ! - Location was perfect for us. It was a short walk to the beach or town without being too close to crowds. Loved the landscaping, view of pool from our deck, our own private hammock and table to eat outside or in. Beautifully remodeled room! Staff was attentive to our needs. Would definitely stay here again! Loved it! No complaints except for leaving after seven days!

The view from the private lanai is spectacular, and having a private covered area made the rainy time pleasant. The staff and owner are all so friendly and caring. The bathrooms and showers are decadent! I love to cook, so a little more counter space in the kitchen would be lovely, but what was there was usable and appreciated.

Katharine (10/5): Not sure it gets better than this… - We booked two rooms. The large house is absolutely stunning. Each separate apartment has its own character with interesting decorations, neat wood furniture, and private patios. The patios overlook a beautiful garden and the pool. We spent a lot of time in the hammocks and at the patio tables. The rooms are quiet - it seems as if the building is very good at reducing noise levels. The location is superb - a quiet neighborhood, the path to the beach across the street, and just down the road a few minutes is the path to Playa Langosta too. Couldn’t get any better. So thankful we were able to stay here. The staff were amazing and friendly. They helped me work on my Spanish conversation skills and the property manager helped me out on a couple of issues (self-caused issues like me forgetting my room passcode). I can’t think of anything I really didn’t like…
Foluke (5/5): Wouldn’t stay again. - It was private and cheap. Maintenance was extremely helpful and responsive! Unfortunately the apartments were not up to scratch! Perhaps the price should have been an indicator / red flag as to quality but I was lead by reviews despite the fact that I wasn’t sure based into the pictures of the rooms! The bedroom was fine and so was the kitchen but the bathroom was not at all clean - hairs from previous guest on the floors and old bits of toilet paper behind the toilet next to the plunger which was gross! It also wasn’t cleaned the entire time we were there (4 days three nights) and nor were we given new towels. The apartments are also not especially convenient for getting into tamarindo for dinner etc. - my husband and I are fast walkers and it’s at least 20 mins walk in the heat/humidity to walk in which wasn’t ideal. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately

Kate (9/5): Loved it and will be back! - The property was clean and well maintained. I think we all have the experience of a place appearing nice, but then when you look closer things are falling apart and aren’t as nice as they originally appeared. This was the exact opposite experience at Casa Sueca. It looks like a nice place when you first arrive, but as days go on, it is noticeably nicer and nicer. The furniture is fantastic quality, the bed (king sized bed in the 2 bedroom suite) was a dream to sleep in! Tile is in good condition, layout was perfect. The grounds are clean. The people working there were so kind! Location is ideal, away from the crazy hustle and bustle of Tamarindo but an easy walk in. Nice restaurants/cafes a 5 minute walk away. Beach is through a little path, not even 2 minutes! We will be back. The only thing that was really difficult, was checking in. I didn’t realize until we were in the air on our way to Costa Rica from the US, that we needed special check in instructions if arriving after 4. I emailed the hotel when we arrived in Costa Rica but of course didn’t have WiFi or cell reception once we left the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, no one was there to check us in and we couldn’t get into our unit. It felt scary because it was getting dark, we didn’t know the area and we had two small children with us. A kind woman named Seven emailed back and then eventually showed up to help us with lights and other concerns. That made all the difference!! My only suggestion to this property is to give the gate and unit codes ahead of time.

Samuel (10/5): Peaceful Paradise - The location was excellent! Directly across the street from the beach, with easy access to the fun Playa Tamarindo and the more secluded, private Playa Langosta. We appreciated the hands-off approach from the staff as it made the house feel like our own private place. Staff frequently cleaned the pools and worked in the background to keep the property beautiful and clean, and checked in when appropriate to see if we needed anything for our room. From the room alone we were able to see monkeys, iguanas, and all sorts of colorful birds. It's a peaceful slice of paradise! No complaints, really. They were responsive when we needed them to be and kept to themselves.

Brian (9/5): Superb - We loved the property. The gardens were well maintained. It was quiet and the other guests were very nice and friendly. The pool was great and the proximity to the beach was the BEST part! Eduardo, the caretaker, was great even though there was a bit of a language barrier it was still easy to communicate any issues or questions. We had a couple glitches with the water but that was quickly fixed. The WIFI was a little in and out but overall those were minor.
Geoff (3/5): Casa Seuca NEAR the beach - The pool was nice, but not well maintained. The fridge was newish and the unit was stocked with appliances. There were beach chairs available. The A/C was old and took about 2 hours to cool the unit. There were black hair balls blowing around the deck and the ashtray was full of cigarette butts. The hot tub jets didn't work. There isn't daily maid or grounds service. The internet was very slow and intermittent. There is a TV but no channels available. Our neighbor paid less than half what we were charged, and the property manager was not helpful in resolving the issue. I think we paid for the upper unit, but we're given a lower unit with a patio, not a terrace as advertised.

Lacy (10/5): Divine. - it’s the MOST beautiful house in the world. the only feedback I have is that it would be nice every few days a quick turnover of the room by staff (towels, garbages, etc). We were here 2 weeks and no one wants to do more than they have to on vacay!
Krisii (9/5): Casa Sueca is great! - The place was quiet and peaceful, away from the business of Tamarindo, yet close enough to everything we needed. Staff were friendly, especially Eduardo! He was so helpful. First night the water pump went, so we didn't have water for a while, but we made due. Also wifi was off for a while one day, which wasn't really a big deal. We weren't there to be on our phones! It did make it difficult to check in with loved ones back home though.
