• Tessa (8/5): A hostel - Kind staff and a common area where you can easily start a chat. Hostel in old school building with character, clean. Bed is a sturdy cozy nook with everything you need around you. The sink and one shower are inside the female dorm room, this means maximum disturbance when people go to bed or get up. Although there is air con (but with 10 people,who turns it on or off), the setup with built in beds leads to a very stuffy room. If you have brought a bigger bag it is hard to have sufficient space for it in the room.

• WONYONG (9/5): 번화가 다니기가 조금 불편한 거 뺴고는 다 좋다. - 패밀리룸을 예약했고 생각보다 훨씬 넓고 쾌적했다. 다다미 방인데 특유의 다다미 냄새도 없고 냉장고라던지 에어컨 선풍기, 침구류 전부 잘 갖춰져 있어서 좋았다. 공용공간의 인테리어도 예쁘게 생겨서 좋았음. 약간 아쉬운점이 있다면 번화가까지 좀 거리가 있다는 것. 지하철 타기에는 가깝고, 걷자니 멀고 그 부분만 뺴면 최고다.

I don't understand the positive reviews, as the pictures clearly show the condition and it doesn't look clean at all (sadly I can’t post more picture because I got so much more). The mattress was so thin that you might as well have slept on the floor.

• Mark Andrew G (7/5): - Staff and location I stayed on a top bunk of the mixed dorm and I decided to put my watch on the ledge next to the wall. I had no idea there was a gap!! My watch fell in and I thought I couldn't get it. It was late at night so I decided to try to get it in the morning. Fortunately it was close enough for me to fish it out. But be careful with that! I hope the guesthouse managers can make something there to prevent things from falling in.

• Jonathan (5/5): Meh - Friendly staff. Clean. This place does not advertise itself as a hostel, but it definitely should. This is not a guest house - it is a hostel with a couple private rooms. I never would have paid the going rate for the room we had, had I known this. It was far less expensive for our previous two nights in business hotel rooms that had their own bathrooms, where I didn’t have to wait 10 minutes to get to a sink to brush my teeth. Also, (FIRE DANGER) the room would not unlock FROM THE INSIDE, and I had to use a credit card to get the latch to open. Came close to climbing out the window. Long story short - don’t waste your money on a private room here. Get a room at a regular old 24-hour-staffed hotel, or at a proper mishuku if you’re keen on the traditional style room. Admittedly these complaints are 100% first world problems of convenience, but the price for this room and the experience we had prompted me to leave this review. Buyer beware.

• Arnaud (9/5): Chambre atypique - Personnel serviable et aidant. Situation géographique idéale, les lignes de bus sont faciles a attraper depuis la guesthouse. Le bâtiment avait du charme et une ambiance chaleureuse. Les indications lave-linge/sèche-linge sont très peu clair, malgré l'aide du personnel, nous n'avons pas réussi a sécher nos vêtements. :(

• Lucia Arratia Becker (9/5): - Me gustó mucho el ambiente del lugar, conocí a varios viajeros y creo que el área común era bastante bueno para conocer otros huéspedes y armar planes en común. Dormí en la pieza femenina en cama de arriba de camarote. El aire acondicionado me llegaba directo y por no apagarlo, ya que de otro modo no circulaba el aire en la pieza, me terminé resfriando 🫠. Tuve una mala experiencia con una de las huéspedes (que por suerte solo se quedó 1 noche) que fue muy bulliciosa duchándose y usando secador de pelo con la luz prendida hasta cercano la media noche. Fue muy irrespetuosa con las otras que nos encontrábamos en la pieza. Poco espacio para maletas...

• Carla (8/5): Muy bien, una guesthouse con encanto y limpia. Ademas con utensilios de cocina! - El hostel es muy guai, pequeñito pero con encanto La casa al ser de madera es bastante ruidosa. Las habitaciones compartidas se oye bastante los ruiditos, asi que recomiendo si eres una persona de sueño ligero en llevar tapones para los oidos.

• Nakano (4/5): - ロケーションは良いです。車停める場所も周りにパーキングがあるので困りませんでした。安いです。 私が宿泊した女性用のドミトリーの上段スペースは、仕切りが上まで無くて、他のひとが上から簡単に覗ける状態で落ち着かなかったです。自分はタオルを掛けて目隠しして寝ましたが、もう少し仕切りを考えた方が良いと感じました。

• Dhruv (8/5): Functional - - Brilliant Price point and location. very functional place --- take it if looking for a place to bunk in for the night and get a flight out. The location is walking distance from the Fukuoka station (15 min.) Close to the happening Canal city mall (15 min.) which has fountain light shows and a great Onitsuka tiger store (best I saw in all Japan if thats important) and a gaming zone and close to the old city (gion) area (8 min.) .. all this on foot. The airport is 15 min. in Uber (under 2000 yen) Note: I prefer Uber here because Gion station (8 min.) has a direct line to the domestic terminal only. for international you then need to take a shuttle bus from there. the rooms were small with extra space. For eg: I booked 2 rooms: 1) 4 person room - the 4 mattresses literally went wall to wall. with 2 shelved for luggage. there was no space to walk beside that and we had to cross beds on foot for reaching ours. we are a family, so no hassles there. 2) A 2 bed bedroom -- here the room was L shaped. There was was a passage into the room, then a small open space with a desk inbuilt in the wall with a fridge and then the base of the L which had the 2 beds perfectly set wall to wall one behind the other. This means that to go to the second bed you have to walk over the first bed and go. Again -- it was ok for us but maybe something you want to keep in mind based on who's visiting.

• Astrid (8/5): Super fint lille sted, passende for et kort ophold. - Sødt personale. Behageligt fællesrum med køkken man kunne bruge. Hyggeligt lille sted og god beliggenhed. Der var kun personale fra 4-10 om eftermiddagen. Det kunne have været rart med lidt hjælp til hvad der er spændende at se i Fukuoka. Kun to toiletter som var virkelig lydte. Så man kunne høre når de andre gik på toilet.

• HIROMI (6/5): アクセス良好 - 市中心部からアクセスが良い 連泊中、ロビーのゴミ箱が、晩から翌朝にかけて一杯で溢れそうになっている事が結構あり気になりました。ゴミ箱の容量を大きい物にするか、回収の頻度を増やして頂けると、さらに良いと思いました。
• Lisa (10/5): - Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Guesthouse HIVE. Es war bereits unser zweiter Aufenthalt und wir waren wieder sehr zufrieden. Die Mitarbeitenden sind super freundlich und die Zimmer sehr schön. Wir konnten unser Gepäck und unsere beiden Fahrräder gegen eine Gebühr 3 Wochen dort lassen. Das war eine große Hilfe für uns. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen. :)

Bien placé On était dans le dortoir mix (rez de chaussé), 1 toilette, 1 douche, un évier sans porte pour 10 lits, le tout donnant directement dans la chambre, impossible d’être discret, les gens se douche à 5h du matin sans scrupule. Si vous voulez serviettes / brosse à dents etc, c’est payant en plus ! Alors que la nuit est très cher pour une guest house. Pas d’effort d’happy hour comme on peut avoir parfois etc. Les gens n’était même pas sympa mais ça ce n’est pas de leur faute.

• Oleksii (8/5): Good, Cheap option - The place was clean. The staff was cery kind and open to help. Atmosphere and services are high class. The price is affordable. It is recommended for 1-2 nights. The futon is not for everyone. It is soft. So my friend had a small backpain. But for the rest of the company it was OK.

• Chin (6/5): Upper bunk bed design not practical - Cosy kitchen Kitchen tap has purified water option Large sink within dormitory room Shower within dormitory room Presence of small bin within shower rm (dry area) (many other hostels overlook that) Presence of many hooks to hang clothes in the dry area of shower. Presence of safe box within cubicle Presence of clothes hanging bar within cubicle They provide additional pillow case and a duvet sheet for hygiene. I find that accessing the top bunk beds can be unsafe if you are carrying a big luggage up to your cubicle. The stairway leading to the top beds is fairly narrow. Climbing down is also at an angle that puts stress on the knees. There is inadequate space on the top landing for 3 peoples luggage (3 beds on top). Then what happens if all 3 beds are occupied? There is also inadequate space for so many luggages below without hindering the walkways. Pseudo privacy - they provide a curtain for each bed but the structural design is such that at standing/crouching height, you can look into the other cubicles and everything will be in plain sight. If you stand fully, you will also hit your height against the ceiling beam. The dry area of the shower room can be better insulated from the cold. Alternatively, can look into installing a towel rack in the shower cubicle (somewhere high) so one can towel dry before stepping out to wear clothes. Toilet is outside the room (thats okay) but has no sink. So you will have to touch the keypad, door handle with your soiled hands from toileting, on the way to wash your hands in the dormitory room. All in all, i think most points are minor inconveniences, not deal breakers. The design of the top beds made me most uncomfortable. If you wish to stay here, either dont bring big luggages or hope that you get assigned to a bottom bed. Bottom bed designs are perfectly fine. At the price i paid for 1 night, there are quite a few other hostels that offered a more comfortable stay with lower prices and also convenient locations.

• Toshiaki (8/5): 街の中心へのアクセスが 便利で快適で安価に泊まれる宿。 - 安く快適に過ごせたこと。1階のミックスドミトリーは行動遅いから、朝早くのシャワーも混み合わず問題なかった。いびき対策の耳栓はあった方が良いと思う。 遅くまでリビングで大声で話している旅行者がいたけど、リモートやAI監視で注意してほしいな。

• Matsuoka (9/5): 非日常の体験が楽しい！ - 地下鉄の駅から近く、移動に便利でした。トイレもシャワーも清潔感があり、好感が持てました。 壁が薄く、もうすでに寝ていたのに隣の人がが真夜中に帰ってきて、音がかなり気になりました。繊細な人じゃなければ大丈夫かも。
