Guest Reviews
- Stefan (8/5): Schlichte Monteursunterkunft - War soweit I.O Sehr verwinkelt sehr einfach und nicht designt
- Walter (8/5): -
- Angelo (10/5): Really surprised me with great food and excellent staff - Well thought out and comfortable with excellent food at the restaurant, great friendly staff Nothing comes to mind
- Erlingur (9/5): Nice comfort stay in a quiet town - It is located in a small quiet town. The room was in good size. You did feel the warm welcome by the staff. Breakfast is good and there is also a good restaurant at the hotel. I was hoping that I could buy a good coffee during the day, but I had to walk to the town, but not a long distance:)

- Bakowski (10/5): - The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating

- Beate (10/5): Gern wieder - Tolles Hotel.

Personnel was friendly
Restaurant served good food Was room was not cleaned for the 3 days I stayed
Overall cleanliness was basic
Noisy
Cleaning ladies vacuum cleaning at 6.45am in the room next to mine - unacceptable
- Daniel (8/5): Good hotel in the Wedemark (where there aren't many to choose from) - We stayed here for a Golden Anniversary in the Wedemark there aren't that many hotels around to choose from. This one looked the best and we asked to check in early (no problem). I got on well with the manager, nice guy also decent breakfast. The reception is not always staffed, but you know this and they will leave stuff out for you. The area is fine, it's a ten minute walk to an SBahn, but it takes a good 40mins to get to Hannover. But if you plan to go to Hannover, you might not pick this hotel anyway. There is a drink machine (with beer) but no bar. That's fine and I knew it, but I do like an "Absacker" at the hotel bar :)
- Josefin (10/5): Exceptional - very nice staf and the dinner was fantastic!
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Helena (10/5): - Alles tipptopp
- Sergio (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Luna_Pepito (10/5): Great place, highly recommended - Our welcome was amazing with Isabella, the owner and his mother... Also the Maitre D at the restaurant, who spoke fluent French too was most kind. I with them all well and highly recommend this hotel.
- nicholasg293 (10/5): Stayed here for VW factory training - Arrived later on, Joe from the bar sorted my room and welcomed me back as this was my 3rd time here. He informed me that food was finished at 10pm, so i dropped my bag in my room (5) which was up in the roof. I had a spacious double room with a settee and desk, the bed was huge & comfortable.
I headed down to the bar for some food, one of the gems of this hotel is the food here! I had an obligatory currywurst, and a few german beers! The bar can be nice & lively, which means there is plenty of atmosphere.
breakfast in this place is also very good, plenty of choice.
Stayed here for 5 nights in early december, very well organised and felt looked after throughout.
the staff are all very good, sorted me my early taxi back to the airport with no issues.
thanks
- Jorn (8/5): - Hotel Brunnenhof International is located in the center of a small historic village just North of Hannover.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super zufrieden! Vor allem das Frühstück hat uns mit der Qualität und Auswahl überzeugt!
- StephaneS389 (4/5): Poor Service. Not for more than 1 night... - Empty reception most of the time. Noone when leaving early in the morning. Rooms not cleaned every day. No shampoo or shower gel added after the first day. Only one iron and table for the whole hotel. Breakfast empty from 9.30am... They seem to try to save costs at all levels... but affecting the customer experience. Very disappointing experience unfortunately.
- Paul (10/5): Very good Hotel with friendly staff. - I arrived late evening, was made immediately welcome. I booked in and was invited to enjoy a beer on the terrace. Very nice hotel in pleasant rural village. Room was very large and décor was different. Very enjoyable stay. Plan to book there again soon.
- marjoha (10/5): Great service - We arrived late and they helped us get a really nice big room even though we by mistake made an error when booking. Also the hotel manager (maybe owner?) was really nice to us when we checked out the morning after. Can really recommend this hotel! /From the Swedish guys
- 979waltraudb (4/5): Average -
Room large and clean.
Quality of service... sometimes ok, other times less.
Easy parking.
Reception rarely staffed.
Calling the number for reception useless, never answered.
Weird WIFI ...
strong signal but cumbersome and difficult to connect.
- treaksy (10/5): A gem of a place - Our family has frequented this hotel on several occasions. We have found the hotel to be charming, warm and well equipped. The food was superb as was the service offered by Charlie and his staff all of whom take great pride in in the service they give. Rooms are spacious, clean and of excellent quality. The linens were of a high quality. The ambience was sublime and an evening in the bar with the host is not to be missed. We would highly recommend this boutique hotel and have enjoyed our previous stays so much we will be returning this weekend.
- Roberts69 (8/5): I wish all the hotels I stayed in on business trips were like Brunnenhof. - Myself and 2 colleagues stayed at Hotel Brunnenhof when visiting Wedemark for a business meeting with Sennheiser (for which this hotel is excellent as it is less than 5 minutes away from the Sennheiser HQ) and we all thought the hotel was excellent. The hotel offers a warm welcome and the decor of the hotel common areas and the rooms is fabulous... Excellent work guys. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was first class and all the staff (and the owner) we encountered were pleasant and customer focused... Rates for each of the 3 double rooms I booked was €99 per night inclusive of WiFi, Breakfast and Tax. My only comment is I am not sure how easy access would be for the disabled guest as there were steps to negotiate from the front desk to the breakfast dining area and I saw no ramps, but maybe they have these? However I will certainly stay here again when next in town for business or leisure... Highly recommended.
- Liverpool531 (8/5): Good for Business - Convenient for a short stay; Business trip. Quite ok Rooms and Good Breakfast. Parking place available and free Internet Connection. Restaurant just connected offer a simple but good food. No Minibar available at room and Heating by the time not working?
- portderry (10/5): Very nice and cosy hotel - Stayed here for 4 nights on a business training course and found the staff great the food was wonderful and the rooms were very comfortable and cosy. It's location is in a small quite town with some restaurants nearby, but it is very close to Hanover Airport approx. 20 minute drive.
- 913jonathans (8/5): A quality room, quiet, clean and decorative ambient. - The room was newly remodelled, spacious, clean and practical. Breakfast was generous if perhaps not super imaginative - the buffet was plentiful. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. For a room of such high quality, I was surprised that the bed/mattress was as ungiving as it was - but, indeed, some like it hard.
- Q4372QNjohnm (8/5): Nice smaller hotel - This hotel is nice and charming, with excellent personal service. Rooms are ok with nice beds and pillows. In general the room’s interior is a bit older but charming and its clean. The restaurant is very nice and offer tasty food. Breakfast offers a good assortment and as well tasty. I did not miss a thing. I stayed three times in this hotel the last two years and it’s pleasure to arrive. You get calm in this small town. With 25 min your reach Hannover city center by S train, if you need more action. Count in additional 10 min walk to the train station from the hotel. I can warmly recommend this hotel if you ie shall visit the Hannover messe. Then it’s the same train and in 35 min you get there. Or perhaps for a small romantic get away with your loved one if you want something else than the standard hotel experience. It’s a perfect place to relax from your normal design hotel room demands, calm down, relax a bit and appreciate simplicity and personal service.
- Brummie43 (10/5): A true Gem - Hotel Brunnenhof is set in the delightful village of Bissendorf a few minutes walk away from open countryside. This is my eighth visit to hotel Brunnenhof, the recent remodelling is truly amazing the place just gets better and better. The hotel is immaculately clean with great attention to detail in all area's,The staff are helpful and courteous (very good English spoken as well). The bar has SKY tv if you like your football. The quality of breakfast and evening meal is also very good with a big choice and the addition of the outside seating area makes for a relaxed time. Parking is plentiful at the rear of the hotel on two levels. Fancy a trip into Hannover ? no problem the railway station is a ten minute walk away. The rooms are quiet and spacious with everything you will need including WIFI. All of this is looked after by Charlie who runs the hotel with incredible enthusiasm and a real desire to make your stay enjoyable .Looking forward to my next visit .... (and my next meal there)
- Villabutler (10/5): Great revamping!!! - A jewel in Hannover Wedemark, close from the international airport, but very quiet!
The Brunnenhof has always been my favorite place.
So close from ther airport, and in a country setting.
Always clean, always a good hospitable service.
Some staff members have been there for a long time, which is always a good sign.
Run by the to notch charismatic Hotelier Charles Samulewitch, who will give you a detailed tour, and who has a contagious enthusiam.
The hotel needed revamping and it is done, with the German efficiency and !
I walked in a brand new three (3) and four (4) star hotel.
I could barely recognize it!
Completely modernized, a timeless comfortable country elegance.
The meeting rooms are unique, with all the high-tech, large screen and gizmos.
For now there are two meeting rooms, the larger one ready for a
typical 60+ people seminar, and the other for a quaint dozen kucky.
A delicious breakfast buffet (check the chafing dishes!) all in a brand new setting.
I just did not want to get up from the snug bed. The bathrooms are well lit, all top class.
The hotel is often full, so reserve way in advance, or try your luck for a late cancellation. Treat yourself to the four star rooms…
Worth every cent, and just stay in for a delicious dinner, or lunch!
I am looking forward to my next trip to Hannover.
- Jifl100 (6/5): Not bad but not three star - I stayed in the Hotel Brunnenhof for 4 nights in November. It wasn't a bad hotel, but I can't really say it compares well against other three star hotels. No one big problem, but a bunch of small issues :-
- There was no tray in the shower for a soap or shampoo bottle. Instead they evidently assume you use stuff which can hang off a rail;
- only one incredibly tiny bottle of free shampoo/shower gel - about the height of a €1 coin (described on the website as "hochwertige Pflegeprodukte" - high quality care product). A colleague had to use this, but it didn't even do one shower, and it was not replaced once used.
- I was allocated a ground floor room, and a strong smell of smoke could come in from the corridor into my room, even with the door closed. The air may have been pulled in from around the door when the extractor fan was on. Opening the window wouldn't have helped as that was the official smoker's area! The smell in the corridor itself was strong.
- On the ground floor, the corridor can be noisy from time to time. I expect rooms upstairs are probably quieter, but some like mine are on the ground floor and close to the lobby.
- There was one tiny bin. Okay, that's not rare in hotels these days, but it's still disappointing.
- The website claimed there would be a writing desk, but there wasn't (room 3). There was a low table, but far too low to use for writing. Most importantly to me there was nowhere to put a laptop.
- It was not very easy to try and watch the TV because the (one) chair in the room would be quite close to it, and you couldn't sit on the bed due to a foot board. I know some people lie on beds to watch TV but personally I dislike that. This may be okay for others.
- Also the foot board on the bed means tall people don't fit.
- My colleague reported his bed was two single mattresses with single sheets pushed together. He had to sleep at an angle because he couldn't fit easily because of the footboard, but this meant he kept falling between the mattresses.
- Although the room had a double bed, it had two single duvets. That seems unusual unless it's a local tradition in the area?
- There were no drawers for storage, only one high shelf in the wardrobe (and way more than enough hanging space)
- The website claimed that every room has a safe, but neither mine nor my colleague's did.
- The front page of the website says each room has a bath, shower and toilet. Another page inside only mentions the shower and toilet. Certainly mine only had the shower and toilet.
- There was only german language TV in this "international" hotel. Channels like the BBC were locked. I did ask, but they said they could not unlock.
- The beds had feather pillows... okay for me, but may not be for some with allergies. Not a complaint, just an observation, and they may have had alternative pillows available on request.
Was it all bad? Definitely not. In the main it was quiet - it's just you could get noisy people outside your door late at night. It was clean, the rooms were serviced well (apart from no replacement shower gel), the restaurant food was good with a good choice (not just local German food), the breakfast was also good quality and well stocked with a wide selection although sometimes the hot breakfast items were not always very hot. The wi-fi was free and fast (albeit only for one device - be careful if you have both a laptop and a smartphone/tablet! Although on the other hand it's only €1/day for another device). And all the staff were helpful and courteous.
So why did I not complain at the time? Firstly because in a 3 star hotel, you shouldn't need to complain before you can get the expected standards. Also because most of the problems were intrinsic to the room. And I was tired enough, and arriving back late enough, after a day's work that I had little desire to repack and unpack all my belongings in a new room on a different floor since no single problem was a dealbreaker. But my review should be read in the light of me not complaining about it and demanding a new room.
- R8fan (8/5): Good Friendly Hotel - I stayed 4 nights at this hotel in November while attending a trade show at Hanover. The hotel was well situated approx 30 min from where our trade show was being held. The hotel was very clean and tidy with a restaurant. The meals were very nice and staff always on hand ready to help if needed. Wireless available for a small fee. Rooms were basic but warm and comfortable. Would happily stay here again.
- maspc (10/5): Hotel Brunnenhof - We were driving through Germany to Denmark and didn’t stop until quite late as we wanted to get north of Hanover to avoid Monday morning’s traffic. We stopped in Mellendorf to investigate two different pensions, but no one answered the door at 10:30 p.m. We saw a crossroads sign in the town toward Bissendorf and headed back toward Hanover for a few km. We happened upon a very lively bar scene by the street and asked if there was a hotel nearby, to which the barkeep replied, “You’re in it.” Behind the bar/restaurant was a very modern, clean, quiet (no noise at all from the bar), lovely and completely renovated businessman’s hotel (no smoking anywhere in the hotel) that happened to have vacancy only because it was a Sunday night. Lucky for us. For only 95 euros we got a spacious and very comfortable room for two with a beautiful bath and shower, full breakfast included—European style with a huge choice of foods and all the coffee, tea, and juice you could want. Internet of course.
- O9282MLcarlob (10/5): Third time at this hotel, always ok - I spent 3 nights at HOTEL BRUNNENHOF INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTHOTEL NORD while attending the Hannover trade show. The hotel is very clean and offers a free wireless web connection, a sauna and a very small fitness room. The restaurant offers typical German food and is open until late (strange for Germans!). A good choice of food for breakfast! I'll be there next year for the 4th time.
