- Cheryl (6/5): - The location was great. Gaya Street is very visitor friendly. Great for those who don't have a car. The toilet wasn't great. The bidet wasn't working properly and the shower was leaky. They refurbished the room but not the toilet. And there a constant cigerette smell in the toilet.

- Selena (10/5): As first time comes to Kk it was awesome! - Near to many famous cafes, tourist area except KK waterfront, Philippines market, to get grab is easy, night market was awesome, there is many souvenir shops around the area. During my stay, my second nights the whole todak waterfront does not have electricity for an hour. As for the rest i have no negative response to this hotel

- Xiaoling (5/5): Passable - Location was central Bedsheets, pillowcases were stained. The lobby smelled of vomit. The receptionist was not very friendly and was not always there either.
- Valerie (8/5): Enjoyed the location - Very nice room, comfortable beds & good air con. However the shower was not good.
24hr reception, very helpful staff.
Plenty of places to eat nearby & good location to reach Jesselton pier on foot.
Just be aware that the Gaya night food market is on both Friday and Saturday, if you have an early start next day it is noisy! If you don't, it's fun!
- Russell (8/5): Generally acceptable - Location The lack of double glazing which allows heat and noise to flow in to the room from the adjacent street.
- Queena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gavin (9/5): Superb - East access to Gaya st.
- Fara (8/5): Very good -
- Zainah (9/5): Superb -
- Nur (5/5): Passable - Location. The bedsheet a bit dirty. The pillow seems different from other hotel thin & uncomfortable.
- Marie (9/5): Superb - Cosy and clean, situated middle of Jalan Gaya which is great. Only need to change the sheets which have some old stains. Overall actually is very good just that.
- Sam (8/5): Very good - The hotel's location is convenient and strategic for us to move around. Parking places is used for day and night market.
- Farahani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mior_ (10/5): Exceptional -

Cons: Towel need to change, quite worn out. There is no free parking if you drive own car since it is shoplot hotel, Lift quite small and only 1 available
- Miharil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lily (10/5): Exceptional - The room was comfortable n easy for us to go to the Night market n Sunday market. No refrigerator to keep cold drinks. Overall still a nice place to stay

- Dan (8/5): Very good -
- Siti (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Footpath in front of hotel is construction site - Mediocre - not as portrayed in photos, small rooms, dark and rustic showers. Clean with good towels however.
- Jefri (5/5): Passable -
- Astella (7/5): Good -
- Sylistah (8/5): Reliable internet and a comfy bed! - Internet: Wi-Fi was excellent, providing a reliable connection throughout my stay. This was crucial for me as I had an important online meeting during my stay.
Workstation: The room offered a decent workspace with enough room to comfortably use my laptop. While the table itself wasn't the sturdiest, it was adequate for my short stay.
Comfy: The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, I did notice a few stains on the bedding.
Hospitality: The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my visit.
Accessibility and location: The hotel's central location was perfect. It is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and has the added convenience of several pharmacies located right downstairs. The lift access from the reception was also a plus. Amenities: While the bathroom was stocked with toiletries, there was no labeling to indicate which was shampoo or body soap, and one of the bottles was leaking.
View: I wasn't particularly concerned about the view, as I mainly needed a room with a window. However, it's worth noting that my room on the second floor had a view obstructed by the hotel signage. If a scenic view is important to you, it's best to inquire about room options.
- Andrei (9/5): In the middle of Gaya Street Sunday market - Very good location: 15 min walk to Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal, KK waterfront, Night food market, Todak Waterfront and right in the middle of Gaya Street Sunday market. A lot of small cafes and diners, several shops and moneychanger are nearby. We booked Superior twin room (with window). It was facing Gaya Street but there was no noise even during Sunday market which is closed at 11 PM. Room was spacious and comfortable, good beds, everything according to Booking.com description. Everyday supply of teabags and bottled water (but sometime You need to remind reception 😊). Strong Wi-Fi signal. When I come to KK for the second time I'll definitely stay in this hotel. If You are arriving late in the evening, keep in mind, that part of Gaya street is closed for Street market (see attached photo). Nothing
- Jm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marilyn (7/5): Good -
- Alwin (9/5): Superb -
- Imelda (5/5): Passable -
- Baker (5/5): Passable - No toilet roll when we checked in, loud at night, needs more sockets
- Rabiatul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriele (8/5): Very good - Location is convenient with many restaurants nearby and handy to go to the Jetty. Sheets had some stains and the bed was hard with the temperature not constant in the room making the sleep a bit troublesome.
- Mimie (10/5): Exceptional - Noisy
- Elizabeth (6/5): Just enough - The location, the simple yet functional size of the room and facilities.
- Anna (7/5): Great location but not so comfortable - Fantastic location with everything you could need in easy walking distance. The hotel lobby is clean and cool and the air conditioning in the room keeps everything a nice temperature. There is all the basics in the room, double bed, warm shower, places to hang up clothes and a kettle with mugs and tea/coffee. When we first arrived the bed sheets looked lived in. There were hairs on it and stains on the sheets. We asked the lady at the desk to change it and considering we arrived at around 2am, we were very lucky and grateful to have someone around to sort it out. However, every time we had the bed changed, the bed sheets usually had existing stains on them. Not sure what these are from but most budget hotels we stayed in in Sabah had the same despite the sheets being otherwise clean. Although the room was everything we needed, it was very basic and there wasn't really any room to do anything apart from sleep and get washed and dressed. Also, although it's fabulous to have the Gaia night market just outside when you want something to eat on a Friday or Saturday, it does come with a lot of noise (even up on the third floor). There is a pharmacy next door though which sells fantastic earplugs! :)
- Masami (7/5): Good - Privacy and location. None
- Fran (9/5): Superb -
- Gavin (8/5): Very good -
- Traveller (5/5): Ok for a night stay - Location in the center of gaya street was perfect No soundproof windows. Weekend night markets will keep awake all night
Not flexible for room change ( beds ) nor extension with extra payment
Toilet door jammed up with toilet bowl literally , can’t open the door all the way
Drain cover metal protruding out dangerously , could easily hurt feet
Water heater instant small water flow , not conducive
- Yee (9/5): Clean and convenient hotel, love it - Clean, convenient and value for money. I stayed in the windowless single room. Think walls, can hear mvmt outside but still a quiet hotel generally.
- Caroline (8/5): A cheap satisfactory stay but room for improvement - Stayed for 5 nights and it was fine for what we paid but the shower didn’t have much power (especially if the cistern was still filling or a tap was running) the shower cubicle leaked and the bed sheets were a bit grey & stained (felt & smelled ok but need replacing really.)
The lift needs some maintenance as it makes a terrible noise which is pretty annoying and disturbing especially at night.
The back door was open and unlocked with no security cameras whilst we were staying there. This meant that anyone could walk in off that back street & be straight up to the rooms without being noticed. Needs to be kept locked for security.
Our stay was fine but not sure we’d go back tbh.
- Gavin (8/5): Very good -
- Ronaldus (8/5): A nice centrally located hotel with a friendly vibe - The location of this hotel is excellent. From here you can easily walk to everything. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The Indonesian eatery right next door is delicious. The hotel has a nice vibe. I would like to clean the tiles in the shower.
- Shuffl3 (3/5): Good location, but amenities were old and rundown - Good location. Staff was sufficiently friendly, and offered us the bathroom of an adjacent room when the one in our room was not working well Water pressure was bad in our initial room. We couldn't shower or use the tap while the toilet was flushing. The water heater also made strange loud noises, we were so afraid that it'd explode or electrocute us while we were showering.
Also, pillows were old and flat. Barely any support.
- Rozita (8/5): Very good - strategic location, easy to find restaurant and grocery nothing
- Lim Chuan (10/5): - Located at the famous weekend night market. Very convenient with lots of banks and restaurants within walking distance
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Exactly in front of the night & Sunday market. Perfect!
- Diyana (9/5): Superb - Its clean & affordable
- Zulna (8/5): Very good -
- Anand (9/5): Superb -
- Chia (8/5): Very good - Clean and great location No.
- Irene (6/5): Pleasant -
- Arzamy (7/5): Good -
- Muley (4/5): Disappointing -
- Paul (9/5): Great Location, Decent Hotel - The rooms are basic but that is all we were really looking for. Clean bathrooms and lobby. Location is prime and right on the KK food strip Nothing
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional -
- NUR LAILA (10/5): - very good service
- Sofiah (7/5): Decent hotel for the value - Friendly staff. Very accommodating Traffic noise loud at night
- KIAN HAUR (10/5): - Everything good
- Hallary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Remi (10/5): Great stay at this well located and clean hotel - Everything was great. Only stayed one night and arrived in the evening and left in morning so didn’t spend much time here but from what I saw and experienced everything was perfect. Location also very central in a good area. Nothing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 酒店在gaya街上,离吃饭的地方都非常方便,离海鲜市场也不远,地址位置是最大优势。但清洁度非常糟糕,床单污渍明显。
- Wana (9/5): Perfect stay! - The Room was clean and comfortable. Yet the location was very convenience. Short gateway during weekend and it was great with saturday night market/stall and sunday market ..Highly Recommended!! Parking
- Song (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffery (5/5): A place that near to leisure - I was staying at room no.301. The aircond was very noisy, water pump was leaking terrible, the room was quite small . The location is great, near to Suria mall, Sunday market was just below the hotel and easy search for foods, hotel staff are friendly. Room maintenance was poor
- Siti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dayang (7/5): Good -
- Faezah (10/5): Exceptional - Strategic location None
