- Nikola (1/5): KEEP AWAY! Do not stay at this hostel! - Nothing Do not come to this Hostel! We have traveled months through Europe, staying in different hostels in different countries and this was definitely the worst stay. To begin with in our 3 Bed Dorm, there was a (probably) homeless person apparently living there. We were not informed about that when booking! Second of all he turned on the Heating all the time, so that it had about 30 degrees in the room. This alone is unacceptable. It is not ok to do this as a hostel and not inform the customer before booking. Now to the room itself. Every room in this hostel (at least our part) had to have a dehumidifier running 24/7 even at night without a break. There were also a lot of spots which look like mold which has been painted over. Not ok! Then also the electrical wireing was sketchy af. Power distributors connected directly to the wooden bed. Seems dangerous. Then it was also impossible to open the window all the way (which didn’t help with cooling down the room after turning the heating off). Btw the door to the room is transparent, so everybody can look inside. Now to the amenities. The toilet and shower is a tiny room. If you want to be just kinda hygienic a miracle must happen. In the whole floor of our part of the hostel (the neighboring building part) they put up very intensly smelling air scents. The stink horribly. I do not want to know what scent they are trying to mask… In Conclusion: I would not recommend this hostel to anyone! I would not even stay here again if I got paid for it. Keep away!

Csatorna szag terjeng.De ez igaz a környező épületekre és utcákra is.Budapest belvárosa sajnos enyhén büdi.De hamar meg lehet szokni.😅

- Klaudia (10/5): Super vibe - Wat een geweldige ervaring bij Baroque Hostel op de Dózsa György út! De locatie is werkelijk fantastisch: direct tegenover het prachtige stadspark en op loopafstand van de Széchenyi-baden en het Heldenplein. Het is de perfecte uitvalsbasis in Boedapest. De sfeer in het hostel is echt uniek. Het is een prachtig historisch pand met een heel gezellige, open en creatieve vibe waar je je direct thuis voelt. Je merkt dat er veel aandacht wordt besteed aan een goede beleving voor de gasten. Maar wat mijn verblijf écht bijzonder maakte, was het ontzettend vriendelijke personeel van de dagdienst. Hij stond altijd klaar met een glimlach, gaf de beste tips voor de stad en hielp me en mijn moeder met alles wat wij nodig hadden. Die persoonlijke touch en gastvrijheid maken het verschil. Ik kan dit hostel aan iedereen aanbevelen en kom hier zeker weer terug!" Het bed was super hard.

- Dagmar (7/5): Lage ok, Personal zuvorkommend aber leider Souterrain, was nicht kommuniziert wurde. - Ausstattung ok, Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Verkehrstechnische Anbindung gut. Zimmer lag im Souterrain. Das ging im Vorab bei der Buchung so nicht hervor. Schade, das hat die Qualität etwas getrübt. Bitte besser in die Beschreibung einfließen lassen. Nicht jeder fühlt sich auf dieser Ebene wohl.

- Jon (10/5): - I liked everything about this hostel. Everything was in very good order, the staff was so respectful, and very willing to help for everything. They even helped us to plan the trip, and suggested great locations. The room and beds were very clean, and all the ammenities were functioning properly. The location was perfect, the neighbourhood has everything you could need, groeceries shops, and is very easy to use public transport from there. The whole place was in very good order, and everyone respected shared spaces. I will deffenitely save this place for other trips to Budapest!

- Dóra Julianna (9/5): Inkább fiataloknak való, közös vizesblokkos hotel. A tisztaság megfelelő, a szmélyzet fantasztikus. - Reggeli nem volt a szálláshoz, de lehet készíteni, a közös konyhában. A környék sincs semmi baj. Többször szálltam már meg itt, tudtam, milyen a szállás.

Kupatilo je premalo cak i za jednu osobu, natopljeno vodom i štrokavo. Osoblje je namršteno i jedva odgovara na pitanja sa prekin pogledom ali ne svi. Cena jeste niska ali standardi su jos niži... ne preporučujem

- Stephen (8/5): Some amazing people work there . - It was all about Hans the German night porter and Jackson the day cleaner , both really really helpful gentleman , the hostel was extremely clean for my standards , the receptionist girl kindly checked me in early at 10.30 am 🙏🙏🙏 great kitchen , extremely close to the Kelleti railway station , only one night but would of stayed longer in my room iff possible . Well I'm 65 years old , I found it a little noisy at times , wooden flooring and I could hear people's conversations from my dormitory , but to most young people these minor things should not be a problem , I thank them for the early check-in as I was on a bus from Eastern Romania , so early check-in was a gift from god .

- Cecilia (8/5): Cosy and friendly hostel - Really cosy hostel, I liked the DIY design of the rooms and the common spaces. Good access to kitchen and bathrooms, there was never a line to the toilets. Friendly vibe. I loved the Narnia-style-wardrobe door leading to another section. The room was small, but still quite cleverly designed, low ceiling, but cosy. The bed was quite hard.
- Zsanett (1/5): I don’t recommend this apartments if you have a darker skin tone! - Nothing we faced racial discrimination straight forward as we went to the reception. The stuff were very very racist they did not liked the fact that we were gypsy and also that my husband is Iraqi they were very rude and unprofessional.

- by MSC (1/5): Mega schlecht und dreckig. - es hat mir gar nichts gefallen an der Unterkunft. Hier würde ich ganz klar von einem Leistungsbetrug sprechen. Die abgebildeten Bilder entsprechen bei weitem nicht den Tatsachen . Das Hostel ist total ab gerockt und ist nicht ein einzigen Cent Wert. Ich bin frühzeitig abgereist und hab mich einfach von den Bildern her täuschen lassen. Ich kann jedem nur abraten, diese Absteige zu meiden.

- UGAITZ (1/5): Peor alojamiento en el que he estado en mi vida. - Por poder sacar algo positivo que te guarden el equipaje si vas antes de tiempo, y tal vez la ubicación, que no es excelente pero está cerca del transporte público. Lo que mas me gustó es que solo nos hospedamos una noche ahí. La habitación(si es que se le puede llamar así) era claustrofóbica donde si me tumbaba a lo ancho en el suelo no entraba, sin ventanas ni luz natural pero ojo el personal te dice que tiene purificador de aire, colchón totalmente hundido que te absorbía en el sin casi dejarte descansar, solo un enchufe para dos personas, la cobertura apenas llegaba a esa habitación y el wifi funcionaba mal. Por rematar la poca seriedad del personal, mientras comíamos el recepcionista pasó con el cepillo de dientes en la boca y el morro lleno de pasta de dientes y al irnos otro recepcionista distinto estaba en un sofá con los pies encima de una mesa.

It is in a neighbourhood that is not too busy and you can get into the city center quickly with metro line 1. There are 3 good quality restaurants in the vicinity, on the same street. During the first night there was a large group of young women staying in the hostel and they were up late, so it was rather noisy with people walking around, talking and laughing until at least 1 AM. The dorm I was staying in was close to the reception area, so I heard all the noises.

- Hassan (9/5): Good option for tourists - The location is not so central but with public transport it's good to access the city. The facilities are ample and the reception is available, so no hassle of checking in and checking out. The bathroom was big and clean.

- Olha (7/5): Хорошо - Для любителей истории интересное помещение . Атмосфера очень добожелательная , персонал приятный , просторные уютные общие зоны, большая кухня, необходимая посуда. После часа выселения оставили вещи в хостеле до отъезда. Хорошее расположение возле площади Героев, историческая желтая ветка метро (удобно пользоваться при передвижении по городу). Комнатка маленькая, надо приловчиться, была на двоих одна вешалка, первую ночь было жарко, во вторую были неполадки с котлом и было прохладно, некоторые зоны уже требуют ремонта (душ).

- Michael (10/5): - My 2nd stay, and already hoping to return next year. The location is perfect, close to the beautiful Metro line 1 & lots of buses, the staff are friendly and conversant, a nice kitchen and bathroom facilities, and the cozy hippiesque feeling of my old Co-Op House at Michigan State University. I love it. I would like a room with private bathroom, because I'm at that age when you need to go pee a lot at night, but it really wasn't a problem.

- Dorota (6/5): Mimo niedogodności związanych z brakiem okien w niektórych pokojach - pobyt był sympatyczny i udany - Lokalizacja hostelu jest świetna - zaraz obok pięknego parku, zamku, muzeum, z dobrym dojazdem do centrum miasta. Obsługa hostelu jest bardzo sympatyczna i pomocna, przestrzeń wspólna obiektu jest przyjemna, przywodzi na myśl domową atmosferę. Niestety w niektórych pokojach nie ma okien, a wentylacja działa bardzo słabo, w związku z czym nie ma możliwości wywietrzenia np. 8-osobowego pokoju, co jest BARDZO KŁOPOTLIWE. Warto przy rezerwacji dopytać, czy w pokoju jest okno, bo to mniej oczywiste niż myślicie. Cały obiekt powinien być regularnie wietrzony, bo panuje w nim nieprzyjemny zapach - wynikający nie tyle z braku sprzątania, co z niewystarczającego wywietrzenia (które jest konieczne, jeśli stosunkowo niedużą przestrzeń zajmuje spora grupa ludzi).

- katy (4/5): is quirky. The communal rooms are welcoming. Just noise wise would put me off staying here again. - The location was very good. Right by the park where there is lots to see plus the thermal baths. The room was cute but so noisy, it was right by the entrance and reception. It’s a hostel, so I get that it’s not a hotel but people were coming and going all night long and there were very loud conversations being had at 1:40 am as well as cases being dragged around. It was unbearably loud and could have been addressed by the guy on reception at that late hr. It literally was like people were in our room . The walls are super thin and I could hear the people in the room above us sniffing and breathing so when they woke up at 3am and started talking/ moving around and opening cases it was so loud and it woke my 7yr old son up.
