We did the breakfast which was great and added to the experience, the view from the breakfast area is great. Would definitely recommend! Lots of stairs up to the main JiuFen old street and tea house area, but we didn’t mind, after all the whole town is full of stairs.

• Shie (8/5): 絶景！ - 新しい部屋のようでした。コンクリートの壁のおしゃれなお部屋です。猫足のバスタブがあり、部屋からの景色は海が見える絶景でした！ 場所は老街からのメイン階段下り、警察署を越えてさらに下ったところにあります。何回も出たり入ったりするのは大変なので、買い物などを済ませて、効率よくホテルにチェックインすることをおすすめします。 一つ、大問題だったのが排水です。バスタブにお湯をため、入浴後に水を抜くと、排水がうまく行かないのか？トイレに逆流してボコボコと言っていました。 もしかしたら、前に泊まった人がトイレットペーパーを流してしまったのかもしれません。 その後も、トイレが流れなくて困りました。 ホテルの人に、状況を説明して直して貰えば良かったのですが、流れないブツを見られるのが恥ずかしくて言えませんでした。 何度かチャレンジしましたが、トイレが流れず、レバーをひねると水位が上がってきてとても恐ろしかったです。ホテルの人が見ればわかると思い、そのままチェックアウトしてしまいました。本当にごめんなさい。 おそらく、次に泊まる方のためにホテルはトイレを修理していると思います。 残念だったのはテラスが工事中だったことです。 しかし、カフェスペースからの景色もとても良かったので、素敵な朝食を楽しめました。

• TAKENORI (10/5): - 九份に近く、アットホームな趣のある宿泊施設です。 景色の良い部屋に泊まることをオススメします。 台湾の観光名所、九份に近い宿泊施設です。 とてもアットホームな宿で、オーナーファミリーはとても親切です。 もし中国語も英語も話せなくても、スマホの翻訳アプリを使って意思疎通をしてくれました。 皆さんとても明るく優しく、とても快適に過ごせます。 なんといっても景色が素晴らしく、台湾北側の素晴らしい海岸や島が望めます。 朝晩と移り変わる景色はとても美しいです。 素晴らしい景色が望めるロビー兼、朝食会場での体験は一生記憶に残ります。 部屋自体はやや古く、シャワーの温度の調節がし難かったり、鏡がお風呂場にしかないなどやや不便な点はありますが、部屋は清潔でタオルなども清潔な物が提供されます。 この辺りは全体的に電源に提供される電圧が低いのもやや注意が必要です。急いでスマホなどの充電をする必要が無い様にあらかじめ注意して下さい。 九份にはとても近いですが、約200段ほどの階段を登らないとたどり着けないのでご注意下さい。 足腰に不安がある方は、特に注意が必要です。 タクシーは予約時点で宿からのメールで、近場の裏手に着くと教えてくれます。 大きな荷物がある方は、こちらを利用しましょう。 Ruifang Train Station(瑞芳駅)からは220NT＄です(2025/03) そもそも完璧な快適さを求める方が行く場所では無いので、その点は理解が必要です。 九份にはとても近いので、夜市を訪れるのにとても便利です。夜に人が少なくなった九份を訪れて写真を撮ったり独自の楽しみ方を見つけることが出来ます。

• Tomo (10/5): - Design Double room Balcony Sea viewに宿泊しました。 タクシーで宿泊施設の前までいけます。 周りは静かな環境で、お部屋もとてもおしゃれでした。 滞在した時は、台湾には稀な寒波が来ていたようで、外は寒かったのですが、部屋にDAIKENのエアコンがあって、暖房でしっかり暖かくできました！ バスタブがあり、ゆっくりお風呂に入れました。私がお湯を使いすぎたので、2人目がお風呂に入るときにお湯が出なくなりましたが、30分位待ったら、ちゃんとお湯が出ました。 タオルなどをかける所がないので、タオルや服を入れるバスケットか、小さな台があるといいかもしれません。 トイレはTOTOです。トイレットペーパーも流すことができます。消臭剤もあって、ホスピタリティを感じます。 バスルームと部屋の仕切りがカーテンのみなので、気になる人もいるかも。 部屋のスリッパが布ではなく、サンダルで履きやすいです。 朝食はとても美味しかったです。 珈琲も素敵なカップで提供されます。窓からの景色もいいので、こちらでぜひ朝食を食べてください。 九份老街へは階段を登っていきます。脚に自信がない人は荷物を少なくしましょう。帰りは下りなので楽です。 階段を登りますが、警察署前のバス停まで近いので、迷いません。便利です。 バスの時間が迫っていたので、チェックアウトのときに、女将さんにちゃんと挨拶できませんでしたが、とても満足しました。ありがとう。

I left my earphone in the room and they returned to me after 3 days after Taichung trip . Very nice couple who run the hotel but English is their challenge and they are quite rigid and strict with their SOP

The design of the room was clean with a modern style of bathroom. Reception room was also the breakfast room, which was also cozy and pretty. Although its location requires 5 minutes' walk including some stairs, the owner offered a ride to the bus stop when checking out.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice sea view, friendly owner - The place is really a nice place to stay and we can even have a nice sea view from the windows in the living room. Only drawbacks are the curtain is not able to close fully hence people will be able to see you from outside. And jiufen has lots of ants and cockroach around so be careful with your food while eating inside the room. We opened our food to eat and before we started eating the ants already swarming around the container (like in 30seconds time?) Place is cool and comfortable bed provided. They even helped us to move our luggage to the bus station (it's a big help because the way to the station is pretty steep)

Room was not as clean as I expected with stains on the bedsheets and bugs crawling near the windows/bathroom, which left me feeling a little uncomfortable but put up with it for 1 night stay. Service could use improvement though…Arrived around noon to see if we can leave our luggage before check in, but waited 20mins before any staff showed up to greet us at the front. The guy that showed us to our room just watch my elderly mom and I struggle with our suitcases with the steep stairs so be mindful of the lack of accessibility.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel if that's what you want to call it, was difficult to find. Our Uber driver was lost and didn't understand English. He ended up dropping us off in a bus parking lot. Hotel had no one on staff to help with luggage. We had to carry out our luggage down several flights of stairs in order to get to the hotel.

There is authentic tea they nake in the morning, I don’t know what it is but so yumny. I'll definitely stay again. I recommend anyone to stay at least 1 night in Jiufen if you're visiting Taipei

• Terri Lynn (10/5): A sunny room at Sunny Room - We really enjoyed our stay at Sunny Room! The family that owns it was very helpful and polite and the room had everything we needed. The views were stunning and their two adorable and friendly dogs, and cute and friendly cat were a joy to see around the property. The breakfast is a must while you’re there. Nothing opens super early in Jiufen so it was nice to have a beautiful vegetarian breakfast on the property before starting our day. Lots of stairs but that wasn’t a surprise as we had read other reviews prior to booking. The whole town has a lot of stairs so if you don’t do well with stairs then I wouldn’t recommend visiting Jiufen at all. Overall, our stay was great and the location was absolutely perfect for everything we needed! Thank you so much, Sunny Room!

• WAI HIN (10/5): 美景民宿 - 景觀優美的民宿，房間內玲矓簡潔，唯一缺点是空調出風口對正床頭，氣流直吹頭部引起了睡眠不太理想的。付費早餐色香味俱全，值得推薦
• Xun Jie (10/5): - We stayed in the loft room which wasn’t as fun as we thought- climbing the stairs everything you want to get it bed is a pain. Speaking of stairs, there’s a bunch of it to get up and down the property to the main road, and even more to get to Jiufen Old Street. Personally I don’t mind the stairs, but I can see how people wouldn’t enjoy that. Otherwise, it’s a deeply charming place with a lot of personality, and I would stay here again.

• Jung Ah (10/5): 최고의 뷰를 안겨준 숙소 - 너무 만족하여 후기를 남깁니다. 처음에 도착할 때는 지우펀의 지리를 잘 몰라 헤매었으나, 2박 지내보니 위치도 만족스럽고 탁트인 풍경을 볼 수있어 최고였습니다. 공용공간인 카페에서 보내는 시간은 여행을 더욱 풍부하게 해줬습니다. 반려동물 또한 너무 귀여웠어요:) 가장 저렴한 방에 묵었으나 만족도는 최상이었습니다.
• HIROE (10/5): - 宿泊施設一帯が木々や花々に囲まれており、鳥のさえずりが聞こえます。また部屋のバルコニーから見る海や山の景色が素晴らしいです。 お部屋はバス,トイレに扉が無いタイプだったので、家族か気心の知れた人との宿泊をおすすめします。 朝食はエッグチーズトースト,サラダ,ゆで卵.蒸し野菜.フルーツのワンプレートと、コーヒー,紅茶などのドリンクが選べました。 こちらも眺めの良い食堂でいただけて、しかも毎日朝食が楽しみになるほどとてもおいしいです。 2泊めはメニューも前日と違う物を用意していただけました。

• GOTO (8/5): - 九份の繁華街から、ちょっと離れていて静かに過ごせた。バルコニーからの眺めがよく、バルコニーで喫煙可なのもありがたい。蜘蛛、蟻、コオロギなど、小さい虫がちょっといた。無料wifiがほぼ繋がらなかった。 スタッフさんは優しい。
• Natasha (8/5): - Very friendly staff who could speak some English. They gave directions to help make the most of our stay in Jiufen. Unfortunately, the property is located at the bottom of many, many stairs, and so it is quite a workout to get to Jiufen Old Street.

• Kim Wui (10/5): Fantastic - Do get the daily breakfast it's really good. Only downside is that the hotel location is off the main road. Quite a long fleet of stairs to get there. Not ideal for roller luggage.
• Lawrence (10/5): Awesome view and friendly owner - The owner Dora is super friendly and helpful. Called her when I can’t find my way, she directed us very clearly and send someone to us to bring our luggage. Upon arriving at their place, she shared and brief us on how to go along Jiufen and Shifen, which is very helpful. The view from the room is superb, my room has a balcony. Took the breakfast from their place and it was a great view and nice prepared food, simple and nice.. they have 2 dogs and 1 cat, very cozy and family feel. Room is clean. Would definitely stay again when I go back to jiufen (walking distance to bus stop and JiuFen old street)

• Sharon (10/5): Mountain perch - Beautiful view of the sea from this lovely hotel perched on the side of the mountain. Although the weather did not exactly cooperate our first day, we were warm and snug and enjoyed the expansive view and many birds in the area. Additionally, we were treated to new year fireworks displays at night. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented complete with delicious tea being brewed over a hob in the center of the common area. The owners were very nice and helpful during our stay.

• Katie (10/5): Great room - This was my second stay here in the same room on the second floor and I absolutely love it here. I'm huge on hotels rooms being clean and this place is always clean. It also has the best view ever and is so peaceful. I will say that while I really enjoyed my room, I would say that my friend who stayed on the first floor found there to be a loud sound all night (maybe from a dehumidifier or a/c - she wasn't sure). If you stay here definitely spend a few extra for a second floor room. It's well worth it. Very quiet, beautiful, and peaceful.
• Katie (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - One of the best places I've stayed in Taiwan! Getting a room on the second floor is a must. The view from the room is breathtaking, and at the end of the day you can take a bath and look out at the sea and the mountains. Completely worth it to pay a little more. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The hostess is also very kind and they offer a great breakfast. There are quite a lot of stairs that would be difficult for the elderly, but I think if stairs are hard for you then Jiufen as a whole might not be a great fit for you. I like that it is located close enough to Old Street that you can walk, but far enough that it is still peaceful and quiet. It's also very close to the Jiufen police station bus stop, which is convenient if you're not driving, and if you are driving there's a fairly spacious parking lot. Recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Jiufen!

• AJ (8/5): - Lovely view from the minsu. Rooms are cosy too. Very hospitable and friendly owners. We especially loved the wholesome and delicious breakfasts that were prepared for us every morning. Was also great to have the resident cats and dogs come say hello to us every day! Only downside was this: staircase leading to the minsu was under construction though as some pipe (sewage?) had to be replaced so that was a little dangerous to walk, but there's an alternative route that's much safer, though a little longer.

• Elisabeth (10/5): - We spent nine days driving around Taiwan and stayed in many different hotels, but this one was, by far, our favorite. I was really happy that we got a room with a balcony; it’s definitely worth the extra cost. The views were fantastic, and the balcony was large and comfortable. The room was spacious, with an indoor seating area in addition to the balcony seating. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the tub was great. The bed was soft and super comfy; we both slept really well. It was several sets of stairs to get up to the main area of Jiufen, so keep that in mind. Also, I would strongly recommend coming in the afternoon and enjoying the hotel views until the tour buses have left Jiufen, as the streets were REALLY crowded until about 7.30 or 8. After that, it was wonderful. Breakfast was very good, and the dining room is really cute and cozy. Would 100% recommend and hope to have the chance to go back someday!
• Luke (10/5): A room with a magnificent view - The views are amazing and you will be suprised how the view changes depending on the weather. Try taking a bath while looking out over Keelung at night! A shame to leave so quickly. Would defibitely recommend to anyone!
