Monica (10/5): Essaouira beautiful traditional Riad - The riad room was very nice with an amazing large tub. The courtyard was beautifully appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. All the staff were pleasant, helpful and attentive. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Would recommend if going to Essaouira. La chambre était superbe et le personnel très disponible et attentionné. La salle de bain était incroyablement spacieuse, avec une très belle baignoire. Il est possible de demander d’allumer la cheminée de la chambre, ce qui donne une atmosphère encore plus chaleureuse. Le petit-déjeuner était très copieux et varié. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ❤️🙏. Gaia (10/5): Tornerei volentieri. - Posto magnifico. Fiori freschi su ogni tavolo tutte le mattine. Camere meravigliose e molto pulite, una diversa dall'altra e in perfetto stile marocchino. Staff gentilissimo e colazione abbondantissima e ricca di prodotti freschi. Vi è anche la possibilità di accendere il camino in camera a qualunque ora del giorno. Se proprio dovessi trovare un difetto, lo troverei nella terrazza esterna. Rovinata e poco curata (probabilmente a causa dell'esposizione al sole tutto l'anno). Anche i teli forniti dalla struttura erano vecchi e presentavano macchie e buchi.

Cornelia (10/5): Die Suite mit Panoramablick ist top! - Die Suite mit Panoramablick ist der Knaller, noch besser als von den Fotos her erwartet. Leider war ich zu kurz da, um es voll auskosten zu können. Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt auch top! Zentral in der Altstadt, aber in der Nähe eines Parkplatzes (bei Anreise mit Pkw gut) gelegen. Das Riad ist super schön und schon das Willkommen war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war groß und gemütlich, hatte natürlich einen ausgezeichneten Ausblick über die Stadt Richtung Atlantik, das Bett war sehr bequem. Außerdem möchte ich das leckere Frühstück nicht unerwähnt lassen. Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Gisela (10/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt - Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Riad Chbanate und haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Das ist vor allem dem freundlichen und aufmerksamen Team zu verdanken. Frühstück ist super lecker und reichhaltig. Zimmer ist groß und gemütlich in warmen Farben. Am Abend war jedoch des öfteren ein Geruch nach Kaminrauch im Zimmer. Dachterrasse mit genügend Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war auch sehr gut mit freundlichem Service.

Vandevelde (10/5): On est venu une nuit puis on a repris deux nuits tant c’était bien. - Il faut le dire, c’est un établissement de très grande qualité. L’accueil d’abord est absolument parfait, le cadre ensuite est génial, à l’entrée de la médina avec un patio magnifique et une terrasse sur les toits. Les chambres sont extrêmement soignées, le choix des meubles, la décoration… enfin le petit déjeuner est délicieux, le tout au calme. Rien à dire

The road is easily accessible from the outer wall where we were dropped off nd picked up by our driver. The open fire place could have been useful if it were cold. The only downside was that the room did smell a little of burnt wood, but we opened the windows and problem solved!

Vedmed (10/5): Beautiful riad, in a good location, friendly staff and with great views of the medina and ocean. - The room was beautiful, with multiple balconies and views from them and the windows, the ocean can be seen from the room and is a comfortable walking distance from the beach, markets and main town. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the riad was very ambient with a beautiful rooftop and decor. The big bath and TV with Netflix were very nice extras that furthered our enjoyment along with breakfast that is prepared for you as you sit at the table.

Special feature was the fireplace which they lit for us every night and it was lovely. Fire going in the lounge area too, welcome since it was very cool in the evenings. Set dinner was excellent on the first night. Good breakfast too The coffee was too strong!! Other than that, no complaints, very good stay

Petra (9/5): - Die Anfahrt gestaltete sich problemlos. Aufgrund der uns übermittelten Daten eines bewachten Parkplatzes war es ein einfaches, das Riad zu finden. (Parkplatz umgerechnet fünf Euro pro Nacht). Das Fahrzeug wird bis Mitternacht bewacht, dann schließen sich die Tore. Der Schlüssel muss abgegeben werden.Fussweg von dort ca 3min. Des Riad selbst ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir wurden mit einem kostenlosen Kaffee begrüßt, die Koffer wurden in den Raum getragen (zweiter Stock, ohne Fahrstuhl). Das Zimmer selbst verfügte über ein großzügiges Doppelbett, auf unseren Wunsch wurden zwei Bettdecken zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Heizung/Klimaanlage funktionierte hervorragend. Es war richtig warm. Auf Wunsch kann auch der Kamin entzündet werden. Es war eine Nespresso Maschine vorhanden mit jeweils zwei Kapseln pro Person, Wasser wurde kostenlos bereitgestellt. Das Badezimmer selbst verfügt über eine überdimensionale Größe und verfügt über Pflegeprodukte, Bademäntel, Hausschuhe und ausreichend Handtücher. Das Abendessen war hervorragend. (musste vorbestellt werden). auf Wunsch können auch alkoholische Getränke genossen werden. Das Riad selbst liegt mitten in der Altstadt, so dass fußläufig alles zu erkunden ist. Das Badezimmer war leider nicht beheizbar, so dass frieren morgens angesagt war. Die Armaturen (Waschbecken) sind defekt, sie wackeln. Das heiße Wasser lässt sich nur mühsam einstellen. Das Frühstück selbst hat uns nicht überzeugt. Es gab geröstete Baguettescheiben, die so hart waren, dass man zu tun hatte etwas abzubeißen. Wir hatten Joghurt bestellt, aber keinen bekommen. Der Kaffee war lauwarm. An der Obsttheke war Selbstbedienung angesagt, (kein Obstsalat wie anderswo üblich) die Crêpes waren ganz okay. Gekochte Eier können bestellt werden Die Beschallung durch die Musik im Innenhof ist unangenehm und dringt bis in die Räume.Das Personal war indes so freundlich die Musik auszuschalten .Das Personal war geschult höflich aber nicht herzlich

I enjoyed going the beech and checking out the loca - I really enjoyed my stay at Riad Chbanate it was such a wonderful experience with lovely staff and beautiful rooms. Il y a un parking surveillé à 100 mètres (hors de la médina) pour notre véhicule de location. La personne en charge des diners était absente (décès familial), malgré tout un soir sur trois nous avons pu y dîner.

Ben (10/5): Amazing boutique Riad, like nowhere I have stayed before, an absolute gem of a find - The Riad was an amazing oasis in wonderful Essaouira. From the moment we arrive the team working there could not have made us feel more welcome and looked after. The riad was beautiful, with fresh flowers in the courtyard and relaxing areas to sit and chill. The room's (we had two in our party) were both amazing. So much character, beautiful decor, amazing bathrooms and facilities, definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The whole team were so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and we have recommend it to all our friends. We will definitely be returning! Honestly, nothing.
Katrina Nicole (10/5): - Rooms were spacious. Bathroom was large. The reid was more upscale then most in the area. Staff were helpful with any questions. The reid is in the Medina (olds town) motorized vehicles can't drive on the roads so you are dropped off 400-500 meters from the entrance and you walk the rest of the way. Hot tub was on the rooftop with some seating. It was nice after walking all day. Breakfast was made to order (pancakes, eggs, yogurt, fruit, breads and coffee)

They have a beautiful roof deck with hot tub, common fireplace (Huge and burning all day), as well as fireplaces in the rooms. The rooms are full of character, maintained beautifully and the overall feel of the road is impeccable. Food and staff are fantastic, couldn’t ask for more / a better experience!! Place is perfect

V (8/5): Lovely place - Great service and a really beautiful room. It was my birthday, and the team kindly decorated the entire room with rose petals, and also left lovely flowers and fruits - thank you so much, this was truly appreciated and made me feel very special. We really enjoyed the bathtub, which is made from stone - it’s absolutely amazing and very enjoyable. They even provided bath salt. I would recommend bringing your own bath bomb if you’re staying there, it would make the experience even better. A very special touch was that they lit the fireplace in the evening. It created a very relaxing and romantic atmosphere, and the room became wonderfully warm (especially since it was very cold at first). Breakfast was basic but with lovely service and a nice atmosphere. The view from the top-floor little terrace was also really nice. • When we first entered the room, it was freezing cold - it honestly felt like around 10°C, as the building is constructed from stone to stay cool during the hot Moroccan summers. I was shaking and really wanted to rest after the trip, but it was impossible to stay in the room because of the cold, so we were forced to go back out into the city while the room was heating.. There was an AC heater in the room, which we turned on, but it took around 4 hours to properly warm up. In the evening, the fireplace helped a lot and it became very warm in the end, luckily. As a suggestion for the hotel: it would be great if the room could be warmed up a bit before guests check in, especially in cold weather. • Another thing worth mentioning is the noise. When we just checked in, it was very noisy from the street. Luckily, in the evening it became quiet, and sleeping at night was fine. • Finally, a small remark about the fireplace: it was wonderful to have it, but unfortunately something seems to be wrong with the chimney system. The smoke was not exiting properly, and the room became very heavy with smoke. It might be a good idea to check that the chimney has proper draft.
Barbara (9/5): Bis auf den Rauchgeruch im Zimmer alles sehr gut. - Schöne große Zimmer, Personal hat sich gut gekümmert, auch vorab rasch geantwortet. Wir haben für unseren Sohn etwas aus der Apotheke spät am Samstag Abend gebraucht, das wurde vom Hotel besorgt, weil wir bei allen Apotheken vor verschlossenen Türen standen. Der vom Hotel empfohlene Parkplatz außerhalb der Stadtmauer war überdacht, kostete 50 D pro Nacht. Man hat den Schlüssel abgeben müssen. Wir hatten unsere Koffer im Auto, überhaupt kein Problem. Bis 24 Uhr ist jemand da, wenn man etwas aus dem Auto braucht. Im Zimmer war ein offener Kamin, man hätte ihn anfeuern lassen können. Der Nachteil war, dass das Zimmer stark nach Rauch gerochen hat, obwohl wir die ganze Nacht das Fenster geöffnet hatten.

Michele (10/5): Very comfortable and attractive Riad in the old city - Our room (a Superior Double) was large, attractive, and very comfortable. The bathroom had a large bathtub designed for soaking and a strong shower. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, including a buffet of fresh fruits and made to order scrambled eggs. The beautifully decorated Riad is well-located in the old city, just a couple of minutes’ walk from where a taxi can drop off or pick up, and about a 5-minute walk from the main shopping streets. Staff were very pleasant and responsive. Wifi worked well. We really enjoyed our time in Essaouira, and our time at Riad Chbanate helped make it special. Highly recommend that guests eat dinner at Restaurnt Sayef (don’t miss the tuna special or the monkfish brochettes) and have lunch at the fish stalls near the port (we had good luck with #11). When we checked in, there was no orientation tour of the property and very little information provided, which seemed strange. But we eventually got answers to all our questions, so it wasn’t a problem.

Zuvorderst die familiär-entspannte Atmosphäre und die allumfassende Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, dann das sorgfältig sanierte Riad mit Geschichte und in bester Lage, und nicht zuletzt ein formidables Frühstück und leckeres Diner in einladender Umgebung. css57 (9/5): - Riad molto bello e curato. Ovviamente bisogna parcheggiare l'auto fuori le mura (vi sono ampie possibilità) ed è raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata. Anche le vie "commerciali" distano pochi minuti. La ns camera era molto ampia arredata in stile arabo (belli i soffitti il legno dipinto) con un bagno enorme e vasca in marmo e petali di rosa. Buona la colazione tipica marocchina con carta da cui scegliere. Personale molto gentile e disponibile

Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich gut – wahnsinnig lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders begeistert hat uns das Zimmer: die Inneneinrichtung ist wirklich etwas Besonderes und mit viel Geschmack gestaltet. Das Team war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass der gesamte Aufenthalt rundum positiv war. Gerne kommen wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Essaouira wieder.
