- william (8/5): Worthwhile , I would go back - Staff were very good. Breakfast was OK but limited.Management was very good and tolerant. Pool was excellent and clean. It was not a backpacker place so it was mostly quiet and good for older clients . We had the F1 family room which has 2 bathrooms and face directly on the beach with a nice outdoor veranda . The aircon was good and if the main power fails the gen set kicks in quickly . I can recommend the BBQ in the evening, good choices and reasonable priced. Happy hour after 4 pm works well . Not much to not like really . The bed mattresses in our room need to be replaced I think as too hard and worn out . Hard to sleep the first night .

The bungalows are pretty basic but they had everything we needed and most importantly comfortable beds. Anyway most of the time we spent outside on the beaches or doing excursions. Sara has a good bar and restaurant offer and you can also book snorkeling and/or plankton boat tour. The staff was very helpful and always ready to accommodate us with good communication.

- SCOTT (9/5): - The bungalows and rooms are on the small side without any views apart from your neighbours opposite but the location is perfect with the beach literally seconds away. The pool area is spacious, with beach/sea views, and lots of sunbeds and cabanas. The bar has a happy hour and serves great cocktails - would recommend the frozen margaritas. The restaurant has a very varied menu for an island and the food is good although the breakfasts can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. The staff are very friendly, helpful and most speak good English. No fridge or views. The pool area/ sunbeds can be used by non residents and sometimes you cannot get a bed in the shade. The bungalows are quite close together with the main path running through the middle so can often be a volume of staff/guests passing by.

Beautiful view of Saracen Bay beach. The hotel also offer transport to and from the various piers on the island, which is very helpful. Good breakfast selection included in price too. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing here.

They will also pick you up and drop you off at the pier. Best place to stay on the island for sure. The service in the restaurant was pretty slow. It was quite hard to get the staffs attention for ordering food and drink. Not a dealbreaker, we would stay here again.

Die Lage in der Mitte des Saracen Bay Beach war super. Das Personal des Hotels war sehr freundlich, der schöne Pool top. Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Die Frühstücksauswahl könnte größer/besser sein, vor allen wenn man länger bleibt.
- Mario (6/5): Ich komme nicht wieder - Ich hatte zunächst nur eine nacht gebucht, um nach den teils deutlichen Kritiken jederzeit noch wechseln zu können. Als ich aber die Anlage sah, habe ich um zwei Nächte verlängert. Die Lage mit direktem Strandzugang, der wirklich große Pool und der perfekt funktionierende Hol- und Bringservice sind für 10 von 10 Punkten gut. Bungalow 21 soll Deluxe sein. Kann ich nicht beurteilen - aber die vorgeblichen 18qm schafft der (innen) niemals. Sollte die Terrasse dazugehören, vielleicht. Diese ist aber im eigentlichen Sinne nicht nutzbar, da der Generator laut und deutlich zu hören ist. Gut, dass ich mir Ohropax reise. Punktabzug. Ich habe auch an zwei Tagen versucht zu klären, dass die AC nicht regelbar ist. Es passierte nichts zielführendes. Ich musste in einem Kühlschrank mit erheblichen Zugerscheinungen ausharren und bin froh, das ohne Erkältung überstanden zu haben. Ein Grund dürfte sein, dass ich grundsätzlich meinen Schlafsack auf Reisen dabei habe und mir in diesem Falle dazu gratuliere. Punktabzug. Und dann wurde ich des nachts heftig attackiert. Es könnten Mücken gewesen sein? Nein 1: In der Kälte fliegt keine Mücke. Nein 2: Google erklärt Stiche an den ‚unteren Extremitäten und in Körperfalten‘ anders. Was mich darüber hinaus gestört hat, ist der entstandene Eindruck, dass der Besitzer ‚zügig‘ wohlhabend werden will: Die verbreitete Unsitte in Asien, 3% Aufschlag für Kartenzahlung zu verlangen, wird hier gar mit 3,5% gepflegt. Und die Preise fürs Essen im Restaurant sind happig. Dafür ziehe ich nichts ab - man kann gut nebenan essen; und das auch für Insel-angemessene Preise.

- Babbbbbbb (10/5): Paradiesischer Ort - Das Personal war reichlich vorhanden, freundlich und sehr professionell. Der Pool groß und sauber. Ausreichend Liegen am Pool. Die direkte Lage am Strand wunderbar. Es geht ganz flach rein, ideal auch für Kinder. Es gab Abends zweimal eine Feuershow am Strand. Die Essensauswahl ist gut und es wird abends am Strand gegrillt. Hol- und Bring-Service zum Pier. Rundum gut.

- Amandine (8/5): Peux mieux faire - Le cuisinier a fait attention à nos restrictions alimentaires. Le personnel adorable. Pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre, de l’eau à disposition mais dans des bouteilles en verre non fraîche. Le monsieur a l’accueil (non cambodgien) qui n’est pas du tout souriant et qui ne dit pas bonjour contrairement au reste du personnel. Le logement est loin du village il est compliqué de se déplacer.

- Anne (10/5): Séjour idéal à Saracen beach - Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Sara resort. Tout était parfait. Personnel professionnel et accueillant. Nous avons été surclassé dans un bungalow, une très belle surprise. Belle piscine, beaucoup de choix au petit déjeuner, bon restaurant, emplacement idéal au milieu de Saracen beach. Hôtel en front de mer. J'aurai aimé rester plus longtemps ! Dommage que le paiement en CB est 3.5% plus cher que le paiement en espèces (d'autres établissements proches ne demandent pas de frais supplémentaires lors du paiement par CB au restaurant...).
- Paul (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing paradise. - Beautiful beach, pool and restaurant. The food was great. Everything managed through reception from organised tours, transport and more. It was quiet and peaceful and the water was incredibly warm and calm, protected by the huge bay. Stunning. We asked for a snorkel tour and to see the bioluminescent plankton and they recommended a tour which we took but it only had a short snorkel stop and the rest was sitting in the middle of nowhere fishing. We were then dropped for an hour and a half at M’Pai village and left to explore but it was a dirty, smelly place. Nothing on g hr e beautiful place we were staying.

- Jill (9/5): A great stay and would stay again. The fire show was fab!! - Proximity to the water and jetty and other restaurants and mart. Other peoples comments said beds were hard so we requested a mattress top and it was in bed when we arrived. It was quiet and relaxing. The beach in front as clean. Bathroom was average- due for update. They upgraded out cabin to one closer to reception which was convenient.

The room, food and clean all good. The staff team is very gentle. We are loved had been there.

- George (9/5): Paradise - Sara Resort is an amazing place to stay. We described it as a mini holiday while we’re travelling. The staff, the manager, the people everyone is so amazing but Jenny is the main character! Jenny is the dog and she’s beautiful we will miss her! The breakfast was the best included breakfast we’ve had in any hotel & having the hotel right in the beach was a beautiful when dining! The rooms were great. Our air con did leak water everywhere but somebody came out asap to sort that out! We even extended an extra day and stayed in room 7 which in our opinion was so much better so maybe stay closer to the reception if you can! The food, the drinks were all so tasty! Brownie points for the swimming pool it was the right temperature to take a dip. A couple of shops close by This is by far our favourite hotel we’ve stayed in for a long time I would definitely recommend staying here. Yes it’s more on the pricier side but you get what you pay for xx Shout out to I think the manager. I booked the extra night for the same day we was already there (blonde moment) and he was absolutely amazing. He didn’t have any more rooms but didn’t charge us for the night I booked which was great! He later on found us to tell us he had a cancellation which was very attentive! Xx Nothing

- James (9/5): Best place to stay on Koh Rong Sanloem - Sara Resort is a beautiful place to stay right on the beach, making it easy to swim in the sea. The well maintained pool is also a highlight, with plenty of loungers and a bar. The restaurant is great and the food was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious and a good start to the day with plenty of options. Their full menu is extensive, competitively priced and everything we tasted was great, so much so we decided to have every meal here throughout our stay. The BBQ in the evening exceeded our expectations significantly, even having the option to sit at a table with your feet in the sand. We had fish every night which was super fresh and we were even treated to a fire show one evening. We also took advantage of the happy hours on beer and an array of cocktails. They offer a range of activities, including free use of the kayaks. We booked a day boat tour with them which was fine if you want some time away from the resort and see more of the island. They picked us up on the pier and recommended us ferry providers to use which made our journey to the resort seamless. It is also worth noting that the house dogs are a joy and so friendly to all guests! Unfortunately, our room did let our resort experience down. It lacked basic amenities, including a fridge. The room generally was small and dark, in turn not encouraging you to spend any major time there. The bathroom was poorly set up, particularly the shower caused the whole room to be damp. To top it all off, the air conditioning was particularly loud. Having said this, the rest of the resort was so outstanding that we would recommend all to stay here who want to visit Koh Rong Sanloem.

- Néstor (9/5): - La atención del personal y la tranquilidad del sitio. La comida estaba muy buena. El personal del bar de la piscina hace unos cocktail estupendos. Las camas cómodas. El sitio podría estar un poco más cuidado. Algunos de los tablones del suelo de la habitación estaban deteriorados y medio arreglados con tornillos sueltos. A pesar de todo, nos dio mucha pena irnos.

- Georgie (9/5): The best resort in Saracen Bay! - Everything was beautiful, location, facilities, beach, staff were so attentive and kind, I extended 2 extra nights as I loved it so much! I personally didn’t like the music taste, lots of bad covers of English songs that were distracting around the pool, day beds etc would be nice to just have some ambient background music on if anything. Staff seemed to have free rein and just played what they liked.
