- louise (10/5): Fantastic Choice - Fantastic pub, great atmosphere, lovely comfortable clean accommodation. Great location. Amazing choice & quality of breakfast. All meals taken at the pub were exceptional. As a very busy popular pub the free car park is slightly tight on space for residents

- Janet (9/5): Little break - Very comfy bed, nice and dark/quiet..tho little light under bedroom door..sorted with a pillow! Plenty tea / coffee & biccies.lovely hot shower, big windows lots of natural light Draughty windows..esp while sat reading a book..possibly secondry glazing of some sort needed as its an old building.could do with a final dust as there was a fine layer on some surfaces..windows outside need a good clean

- Ian (9/5): - Very enjoyable dinner with good ale and wine choices.
It’s a great location close to central Heswall with views out towards Wales across the Dee. Breakfast was good but there was no Greek yogurt or plain yogurt for the granola. No biggie!

- Brian (10/5): Excellent stay on The Wirral - An easy check-in, a good ambience, clean and comfortable facilities, a great breakfast with plenty of choice; an excellent night's stay. Not applicable
- John (8/5): My wife and I both enjoyed our stay and we shall, hopefully, return on a future occasion. - Booking in was very easy and we were early arrivals, but still able to go to our room.
The breakfast menu was good.
The room was spacious, had character and it was quiet. Certain parts of the accommodation could be freshened up.
Being elderly, I found the shower very difficult to navigate.
My poached eggs were a bit overdone at breakfast and my wife's bacon was not crispy enough although she admits she didn't request it to be prepared that way.

- Helen (8/5): -
- Graham (8/5): - Excellent breakfast and location. Very good pub and dining. We would have liked to have been told there was roof works being carried out above our room. They were working there when we arrived and also started at 9am on Sunday. It would have been good if the staff had at least pre warned or apologise for any inconvenience
- Frances (10/5): Will definitely stay again - Very clean comfortable room, easy check in. Excellent dinner and breakfast, staff very helpful
- Trish (9/5): We really loved our stay. Staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. - Staff very friendly and made you feel welcome and very cozy bed. We stayed in Room 8 and the TV was overhanging the wall by the bathroom and had the potential to bang your head on the corner of the TV - had to put a towel on the corner of it to avoid that happening.
- Stuart (9/5): We both really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Jug & Bottle. - Plenty of parking. Check in was easy and help with bags was much appreciated. The service for dinner was excellent and we both enjoyed our meal. Although we checked out at 9:30 the 11 check out time meant that we never felt under pressure. If I'm being really picky there was a tea stain on the skirting board near the door. You could hear noise from the bar below until 11pm but this wasn't excessive. The milk didn't get replaced for our second night but didn't prove a problem.
- Hannah (10/5): -
- Anne (9/5): Great base for catching up with family and friends - Great breakfast and food otherwise. The room was very hot.
- Emily (9/5): Cosy, clean, comfortable - a lovely stay all round! - The showers were amazing! The staff were super friendly. The pub was cosy. The room was clean. The location was close to nice beach walks. Food was delicious and breakfast was served at convenient times as I was up early for work. Lots of parking. Would definitely recommend to a friend. The music from the pub could be heard through the floors. If you're going to bed before 11 I would recommend bringing earplugs.
- James (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): I would definitely stay here again! - It’s just a really nice place to stay. It’s a great pub. Staff really friendly. And I felt very welcome as soon as I arrived. Nothing

Easy walking distance to Heswall town centre & our room had a good view across the River Dee to Wales. The dining area & breakfast room were cosy & welcoming with traditional decor & log fire.
We had an evening meal & cooked breakfast. Both were excellent & very enjoyable The car parking was limited although there was a pay car park immediately adjacent so not a major problem
- Matthew (9/5): -
- stuart (10/5): Great hotel/bar and restaurant, looking forward to my next visit - We have stayed here a few times before when visiting family. A lovely hotel/pub, very friendly staff, great bar area with a fantastic selection of real ales, breakfast was superb, an excellent location close to many bars and restaurants Bedroom little bit small but ok for a few nights

- Ian (10/5): Superb Location. Lovely Place to Stay. The Best Service and Friendliest Staff. - Great Location quiet and tranquil but in the heart of Heswall. Beautiful bar and restaurant area with open fires, very modern with traditional twists. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. What makes the difference with the Jug and Bottle is the staff. From the moment you arrive you feel looked after. From checking in, the bar, the restaurant, all the staff were so friendly and caring in their approach. A credit to the business.
- Clare (8/5): We were traveling for work and it was a very good choice - Excellent evening meal, very comfortable accommodation
