• Stephen (4/5): - Nice room. Good detailing. Very small, loft ceiling, We had to carry everything up a dangerous flight of thin, carpeted stairs. No view. Our window looked out on a dirt road leading to a house on the hill. Almost impossible to find, a dirt road turn off with a barely readable sign. Took several passes on a major highway to find. Locals at a roadside gas station helped us, or we will still be looking. All for $260+ a night and a 10 am check out. Not happy, will not return!

• Gary (8/5): A beautiful rustic inn. - This is a rustic hotel in a beautiful natural setting. Our room was clean, comfortable and very nicely furnished. The only disappointment was that it was on the second floor with no elevator, so we had to carry our 50 pound bags up a flight of stairs. The hotel is privately owned and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay at the Yellowstone Basin Inn again but would request a first floor room.

Out of 3 meals, we opted twice to eat in town instead. Our unit was the closest to the road but we did not hear any noise at night, except some Elk calls (high pitch, almost like a whistle). Nice view on Devil's Slide.

I did feel like it was an imposition to ask for anything including ice and water, (no ice machine) and at breakfast there was really no one there if someone had a question or needed something. Also, there was not a grab bar at all for forgetting out of the shower or even a toilet to grab onto when you stepped out of the tub. The view of the valley was amazing!!

I would highly recommend this Inn for the close proximity to the town of Gardiner and Yellowstone's Norrh Entrance, and the quietnest of the area surrounding the Inn.

• Lisa (10/5): - I very much enjoyed my stay at Yellowstone Basin Inn. I intended to stay just one night but ended up extending for a second night. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I was working on a photo scavenger hunt; they gave me some tips and directions to locations I might find useful. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast each morning was home made, fresh and a great start to the day. This location is not in the middle of town so don't expect to walk anywhere for dinner or anything like that but it only a few minutes outside of Gardiner. There is a Sinclair gas station before you get to Gardiner so fueling up before you hit the the park in the morning is easy and convenient. There is also a coffee stand in the parking lot of the Sinclair if you need your caffeine in the morning. The Yellowstone Basin Inn is the perfect location for a getaway without the crowds of the park and the towns immediately adjacent to the park. I highly recommend staying here and will book this location again when I am traveling in the area.
