Guest Reviews
- Nicholas (6/5): - The pub is fantastic, one of the best we visited in Dublin! The room was clean and very nice. The staff were very nice as well. I’m giving it 2/5 stars because we had no hot water (shower) for 3 days, and upon trying to get it resolved, nobody helped or did anything. Otherwise, it would have been a good stay.
- Michaela (10/5): - Close to 03 Arena & bus stops to/from Airport.Excellent room with view of River Liffey.Outside noise til 1pm ish-but you’re over a pub so this was expected. Thoroughly recommend-great stay
- Michael (10/5): - Comfortable bed and clean room.
- mikeesturg (8/5): Great pub, great hotel - Last minute one night trip to Dublin for work and this was within walking distance and the most reasonably priced against the other hotels, paying €182 for a room.
Didn't arrive until 8.30pm and checked in easily at the bar. Unfortunately they did not do any food so we ordered in a take away, which we had in our rooms but the pub gave us knives and forks.
The pub was really well laid out and designed inside, loads of room between tables and just the general decor. First pub I have walked into in a long time and it felt like a proper pub. Service was great, could not fault it.
Had some good beers on tap and had a Lamp pale ale which was very fresh and far too easy to drink. There was a TV screen, but it wasn't loud.
The hotel rooms were upstairs and the one I had was big enough for me with a view over the harbour. Nice bathroom with a shower that had excellent power.
We did not go out and we left first thing the next morning so unsure if it's location would be good for all the sites in town, regardless if I was going again to Dublin I would look here first for a room.
- Wendy (6/5): - Convenient to where I needed to be. Room was very small and no ventilation. Room not serviced apart from emptying dustbin.
- Kayreece15 (10/5): Good Dublin local pub - Great local pub with friendly staff and good Guinness. Lively crowd and does get busy
There is a downstairs for a cosy feel.
Outside seating if you can grab one. Used by locals as well as holiday visitors. Very handy for the hotel we were staying at as it was a stone throw away.
- Donna (8/5): Great No Frills Stay in the heart of Dublin! - If you're looking for a comfortable, conveniently located place to sleep and shower, The Ferryman fits the bill. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was amazing, and staying above a pub is an experience! For the record, it's probably not for everyone but we're easy-going travelers; not bothered by the noise of the street or pub and not needing any special services. We received fresh towels daily and there was some shower gel, but you'll need your own shampoo. There was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room but we found several great local coffee shops nearby. We had a great 5-night stay in Dublin.
- Adriana (8/5): - Loved this place. HOWEVER, keep in mind that this is first and foremost, a PUB. The rooms are above a very lively and loud pub. So this was fun, except when we wanted to get some food rest at 11pm. The noise is unavoidable till about 1am, so make sure to bring ear plugs. Also, to Check-in, you must literally go to the bartender to get your keys etc. Overall, a great location with stunning view of the rivers, bridges, etc. Would stay here again, WITH EAR PLUGS
- Cheryl (8/5): - The property was within walking distance of all the major tourist areas. Only met property people on the day we areived and the day we left. Room was nice and clean. Room was serviced once for making beds over 4 days but bathroom was serviced every day for new towels. While this property is soundproof from the pub, it is very noisey when 100 pub patrons are enjoying themselves outside and the windows are all open on the second floor pub lounge.
- Yan (4/5): - Very good location, historical building, and a popular pub down stairs, good or bad.
However, almost no services...
No bottle water in room, if one needs drinking water, has to buy from the pub downstair, costing 3.25Euro a small bottle. Also no one to clean your room other than just providing clean towels and toilet papers. In addition, it is very difficult to take shower, bad design and constructed.
Dublin is a very lovely city, friendly, vibrate, can drink almost anywhere. We loved our walking tour in the city, fantastic!
- Kylie (8/5): - We had so much fun staying here! It’s an authentic Irish pub so prepare for some noise and there’s no AC so it’s pretty warm in summer. The staff in the pub were so lovely. Great area to be in, lots close by. Dublin is very walkable and bikeable.
- margaret (10/5): - It is a very small property but they made us feel very welcome. The pub staff went out of their way to make sure we knew where things were and how they worked. The room was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.
- Mikko (8/5): - Location is very good. There's a pub downstairs that functions as the check-in which can be a bit suprising to someone who's in Ireland for the first time.
- Joseph (10/5): No complaints at all - Excellent staff and superb shower. Room was basic but for the price I could not complain. Very comfortable and clean throughout. The staff are fantastic and really made me feel welcome. Would happily return.
- John (6/5): - No complaints as such - clean comfortable albeit basic accommodation a little on the pricey side. When I booked, the Expedia side stated that breakfast was inclusive. Please be aware, this establishment does not offer breakfast at all.
- Katrien (8/5): - Erg kleine kamer en niet de beste isolatie. Niet echt stil 's morgens.
- Jason (10/5): Great Pub Experience - Highly recommend!
- Jason (8/5): - On an earlier visit to Dublin, my friends and I had discovered The Ferryman and made it our “local” during our time in the city. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, mainly locals, close to Avida Stadium and across the Liffey from the convention center. Just an unpretentious Irish pub. When we decided to return with my 16 year old son, I instantly booked here, as the price was great and I had great memories. As a place to stay, it works great. Lots of carousing at night downstairs and there is quite a walk to the sights in town, but walking is part of the experience (and we got to walk off a lot of food!). Jill and the staff were very friendly, tea kettle in room was always ready to go. Room Is very basic but a true pub staying experience. If you are okay with walking a bit to get to Temple Bar or O’Connell Street, I cannot recommend The Ferryman highly enough!
- Niamh (10/5): - Lovely staff
- Chris (10/5): Short stay in Dublin - Stayed 1 night in the ferryman as we were going to a show in the bord gais theatre.
Perfect location, right around the corner from the venue.
Room was clean with a nice view.
The pub itself is class.
Great atmosphere.
- twoollard (10/5): Just the job - This place is no boutique hotel. But it does exactly what it needs to. I would say perfect if you’re with friends or on your own. I wouldn’t recommend for a romantic weekend away. Just a B&B bolt hole. No frills. It’s well located, on the river, so you’ll always be able to find it after a few drinks. Good pub downstairs and friendly staff. Had a nice Irish breakfast both days on the 1st floor looking over the river Liffey. You can’t really complain about this place, otherwise pay double and go to the Hilton.
- B7930MRstevenm (4/5): Such a shame - Great shame that the room we had did not live up to the review standard shown or the potential of this qaint Irish pub and hotel. " Boutique" it is not!
The bathroom was a throw back from the 1950's and has not been upgraded or maintained since. Broken loose toilet, plug in sink useless, absolutely nothing in shower to place toiletries, rusty shower frame and tatty decor.
The room was unvented unless we opened a sash window allowing bar and traffic noise so overnight the condensation ran down the window.
We complained about the loose toilet and the maintainance guy arrived with an electrical screwdriver! He failed to fix it!
I've given it 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff are as nice as all the other lovely people in Dublin! A staff member told me that the owners were planning a refurbishment next year - that would be OK if they were charging " unfurbished" rates this year!
- cockerhoop (10/5): Location location location - Stayed 2 nights on our midweek Dublin trip, warm welcome from land lord and land lady. Room small clean and adequate, breakfast was excellent in the function room. the pub down stairs was always busy and good place to have a night cap after our busy days sightseeing. The hotel is in the Grand canal district and is ideally suited for the theatre, EPIC and Jeanie ship museum, while only a 25 min walk to the Temple bar area and the city. There was Starbucks next door and the hop on hop off bus tours picked up only 50 yards away. The hotel was a very good budget accommodation for a capital city break and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
- hawkhoops (8/5): O’Briens Pub at the Ferryman Hotel - We “hopped off” the bus when it started to rain and ran into the pub. A very pleasant way to spend the afternoon. We had beers, some crisps, and took in all of the fun decor. Lots of TVs to watch sports, and a good mix of friendly people.
- EllieK756 (4/5): Overpriced, noisy, cramped, tired, security risk - This is a great pub and I live 5 minutes away so when I needed somewhere to stay while my flat was being serviced, I thought to give it a go - similar price to a hotel so I thought I'd support an independent place and would get the same level of accommodation - I didn't check the reviews here. HUGE mistake. The room was small but the bathroom was ridiculous - tiny, and the fixtures looked as if they'd been done in the 70s and not touched since. I was in room 8 and had the same issues as another reviewer with the noise from the plumbing: I was woken up constantly and it's impossible to get even close to a decent night's sleep. The rooms were serviced daily whether or not you want this. Unnecessary and not environmentally friendly: I don't need all towels replaced daily and there is no option to decline.
There is a TV but it's so high on the wall it's impossible to watch - pointless.
Nowhere to put a medium sized suitcase and hardly any storage space.
The first three days I was there, the entrance was propped open and the security door to the accommodation wasn't activated so anyone could have walked in.
My security key was deactivated twice so i had to fight my way to the bar on a Friday night to get it reactivated. Not at all good when I had a virus and just wanted my room.
I can't comment on the breakfast, I didn't have time to try it before work.
I wanted to like here: it might be ok for one night if you've had an evening in the pub but for the same price (or less) you can get a really nice room in one of the hotels, like Wynns in Abbey Street which is gorgeous.
I won't be staying again and I certainly won't recommend when friends visit.
- MESUTO36 (6/5): Quaintest little hotel in Dublin - This hotel-cum-bed and breakfast situated right above the popular Irish Pub Ferryman in Dublin is a reasonably priced place to stay at for the solo teaveller. It is clean and adequate but the rooms are awfully cramped. The bar downstairs is a very popular authentic watering hole for young and the middle aged alike.
- brianwhitfield2016 (6/5): Gpod stop off for food and a beer - We had just atrived in Dublin for the Rugby
Ireland v England ....a real battle of men.
And decided to go and get some Good wholesome Irish food Irish stew and steak & Guinness pie...just great a little over priced at 29 euros but very tasty...and the Guinness is guaranteed to be great being only a mile from the brewery....and good friendly souls inside....
- DJW13CT (4/5): Disappointed - This place has a really lovely pub, filled with locals and friendly bar staff, and pricing very good
It is a bit off the track if you are walking around, no parking and the 3 nights of parking cost me another 100 Euros.
The walk to the Temple bar area was like walking through a dump.
The attraction was the carvery, my daughter booked it as she knows we enjoy them. They are only at day time, when we were out.
Breakfast was OK, when we could find someone to make it, which in itself was not acceptable.
I cut myself and bled on the sheets on day one, sheets were never changed.
Room is tiny
- James (8/5): - The hotel is slightly outside the city center, but it is close to airport bus routes and even the Hop-On Hop-Off bus for sightseeing. The room was on the smaller side but comfortable, and the vibrant and lively bar downstairs could not be heard from my room (which was on the lowest level of guest rooms).
- Frank (8/5): Basic value for money. - This is very basic accommodation over a very famous and well run traditional pub. The location is perfect, near the 3 arena, National Conference Centre and Silicon Docks. It is good value but for a few dollars more you can get a lot more comfort. I did not have the breakfast but I can guess that it will be good. Dublin is expensive and if you don't need to be pampered, this is a good option.
- Don (8/5): Surprisingly well done. - This is actually a pub that has taken the upstairs space and converted it into a small hotel. The rooms are very small but overall it's not bad for the money. Issues: several floors and no elevator, breakfast starts way too late (7:30 and 8:00 on weekends). The shower is ridiculously small even by European standards and very hard to use. There is no shelf, ledge, or amenity tray, which could be easily provided, so you have to stand in the shower, bath yourself, and also hold soap, shampoo, razor, etc. If you try to put these items on floor of the shower, you have to bend over and pick them up repeatedly. Horizontally challenged and some who are not, like me, will find it almost impossible. Management: Please spend a few euros and add one of these things that hangs from the shower head that you can put your stuff in. Also, if you have a problem at night, you'd have to go down to the pub and that would be difficult as there might 100 people in that small room. On the plus side: there are plenty of electrical outlets, normally a problem even in five-star hotels. Also, the location is great. You're just a few minutes from the airport bus stop. The wi-fi is very fast. The breakfast is a traditional Irish breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast, blood sausage, etc.) I wouldn't stay more than a few days, but you can tolerate it for its advantages..
- Tabitha (10/5): Solo travel - The room was a bit small but perfect for a single traveler. Very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.
- Jack (10/5): - The Ferryman was great, the price was good, the location great, the room was good for "above an old pub". It's no Four Seasons, but it's a pub, so with adjusted expectations it was great. And the staff was wonderful
- Stephen (10/5): - Great price, great location, near Samuel Becket bridge on Liffey river. Walking distance from Connolly Train station. Dublin tour bus stops nearby. Even though pub on first floor was often busy, room was quiet. Free Irish breakfast, good pub food for lunch.
- Emily (6/5): - The location is good and within walking distance to most everything. Pub downstairs is great! My biggest complaint is the condition of the bathroom. The shower was very small and the tile was full of grime which made for a bad experience. There was no shelving space or counter space at all as vanity was just a small pedestal. Water pressure of the sink was also very poor. Toilet was very loud. In sum, bathroom needs major upgrade. Room generally was ok and king size bed was nice, just again, all very outdated, but room and bedding appeared clean.
- Mark (10/5): - A short walk from the aircoach drop off... ideal for my business stay in Dublin...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great place to stay. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Great breakfast. Only down side is the shower could do with an update as the water keeps backing up in the base. Hotel is run from the bar which can be a pain when it's busy.
- Michael (10/5): - Very friendly staff and an excellent location.
The bar downstairs was lively and the breakfast was first class.
- wendycQ2463DD (8/5): Fantastic Hotel bar - Fantastic bar very friendly staff, very clean room, great Irish breakfast, near center, highly recommend base for exploring Dublin... would recommend booking a river view, near the revamped dock area with lots of restaurants and bars and cafees.
- DavePen49 (8/5): Friendly locals - Having just played and beaten Ireland at the Aviva stadium we wondered what kind of reception we were going to get. Wearing our Welsh football shirts it was great to be complimented on how well our team had done. Lovely atmosphere and great people. Thank you.
We didn't stay here so just reviewing it as a pub.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a very nice hotel right on the river Liffey. The hotel staff members are wonderfully helpful and friendly. The included daily breakfast was very good. Something to keep in mind is that there is no elevator in the hotel and our room was on the 3rd floor. The room itself was a little stuffy at times but usually remedied with opening a window. We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint, comfortable, and affordable location.
- Amanda (8/5): Good location for convention center, ok breakfast - I don’t know that I would recommend this place to another business traveler, but it’s in the middle of a businessy area. It’s also close to a theater and arena, so maybe that’s more their clientele.
My husband and I stayed here while I was at a conference. There was no desk to work at but the Internet was reliable. The bed was two pushed together single beds, which is weird. There’s no bathtub, but the shower was a decent size and very clean.
Breakfast was a bit over cooked (if you like your yolks runny, maybe ask for them scrambled instead), no white pudding, but the best, mildest black pudding of the trip.
The bar was loud until closing, but we could fall asleep—it didn’t sound like it was in your room but probably not best for light sleepers.
Overall it was ok, decent value for money and unbeatable location for the convention center.
- Valerie (10/5): Great location and atmosphere - Great location with a beautifulview of the river. Lively pub downstairs. Friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay again.
- Hugh (6/5): Reasonable but room for improvement - The Ferryman is located on the banks of the River Liffey and I could see the iconic Samuel Beckett Bridge from my bedroom window, which was a nice view and also a very handy landmark visitors such as myself who have a diabolical sense of direction!! The room was a little on the small side, and the TV was a bit high up to be of use to a short-sighted guest like myself. In fairness, I hadn’t travelled all that way to watch telly: it’s a general observation. It is a beautiful old building and perhaps planning rules affect the size of the room? My only gripe is that on my one full day I had to ask twice for my coffee-making supplies to be topped up, and the first time it wasn’t very busy. Offsetting that was the help they gave me in getting a cab to the bus station and trying to reunite me with forgotten property! Which was a case of ABCD (Above And Beyond The Call of Duty). 7 out 10 .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The main floor pub was a classic Irish pub. The building is old, but holding up well. The bathroom needs some work, however.
- pirateofsavannah (10/5): Very happy with the ferryman! - Came right from the airport and found the bus stops right across the bridge from the hotel...within walking distance to everything. Classic Irish hotel...no elevator...loved it...great staff, friendly service, pub downstairs, deli next store. Felt safe, comfortable, and even tea in the room! Stay here for great price, true Dublin experience. I know where to stay now when I return!
- ELEANOR (10/5): The Ferryman wins the 1st Prize. - i was greeted with warmth and friendliness immediately I checked in. I had an extremely late check in which I was assured was no problem at all. my single room was quiet, clean and had everything you could wish for. the staff were extraordinarily friendly to giving directions, calling taxis, carrying my bag.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and the coffee was plentiful and warm. I was there on my own for a training course and felt welcome and safe throughout my stay. So much so that I am booking again for my return journey in November.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great accommodation - Very quiet in rooms (and they are right on top of the pub); very central location in Dublin. Super eclectic hotel, very kind and considerate staff. Not the flashiest accommodations, and there is a "pub" smell in the hallways leading up the hotel- but the smell is not in the hallways near the rooms or the rooms themselves. All together a great deal, would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Located right opposite the convention center so very handy for conferences.
On the other hand the bathroom, especially the shower was not very clean.
Overall happy with the stay
And rest assured, you can’t hear the noice from the pub below. The doors are soundproof and you will get a quiet nights sleep
- barc_12_12 (8/5): A surprise - We enjoyed staying at the Ferryman hotel for 2nights the position was good for us —great new dock area around the corner to eat. About 20 min walk to the centre of town. Our room was comfortable and bathroom dated but fine. The staff were so helpful and even met us at 6.15 am to make sure our taxi arrived.
- Benjamin (8/5): Ok for a budget stay - Pleasant and friendly staff, the hotel function room (breakfast area) upstairs is fabulous. The bed, the amenities and the ambiance are just ok. Nothing bad, just very very basic. Clean, functional and sufficient for a budget stay.
- Moses (6/5): - The staff were v friendly great location but the room was just too small even for 1 person. The window opened out to a cluster of exhaust fans on the roof The room was clean but lacked air conditioning, bar fridge etc. But what the room lacked the staff compensated with helpful attitude and friendliness.
- Groovy_Duvy (8/5): Historic, helpful, great access to Dublin and views - We are looking out the window to a great view of the lights of the convention centre and the canal. The room is good sized, with two beds together to make a "king" with individual bedding. There is coffee/tea making facilities, vanity desk area, someplace to put your suitcase, closet. It feels pretty comfy to us.
The bathroom is a good size and everything works.
There is a good standard of cleanliness.
Breakfast is missing a little -- no fruit, tomato, mushrooms. But they made us what we ordered and it kept us going for most of the day.
The thing about this hotel is that it is over a long-established Irish pub. The noise from the pub hasn't bothered us at all. The staff have been super helpful, even to offering 6 euros to feed the parking meter when we had the car parked overnight. Whatever we have asked for -- they have given it.
Also the airport bus and other transport is just at the door.
This is an older building, and you can appreciate that, or complain about it. We appreciate it. Yes, the stairs are steep and you have to carry a suitcase up one or two levels. This isn't fun, but it was doable and we are both pretty old.
We are astounded at the position of this hotel, the helpfulness of the staff, and the roominess and comfort of the room. We are pretty happy about out choice.
- SharonF945 (8/5): Historic pub with easy access to the "Hop on/Hop off bus and the Airport bus - It is a Historic Pub, so with that in mind there is NO Elevator and I was on the 3rd floor, Thankfully one of the Bartenders took pity on me and helped me carry up my luggage. As a solo traveler the room was small with a single bed but it was clean and tidy. There was a lot of construction going on all around the area so there is not much to see. There are other places to eat across the Liffey River along with the stop for the Airport bus. The ON/OFF bus system is right there and it was super easy to use. Breakfast was good, Evenings were loud and entertaining and the beer was great. If you paid in full bring your receipt with you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great. Very centrally situated.
- jtandaj (8/5): Love the Ferryman Hotel - The rooms are simple, clean and inviting. The pub was fantastic! What a great way to meet the locals. Great conversation and lots of fun. The food is good and breakfast was included. It is farther down towards the docks from the more touristy area, but was not a bad walk. It also enabled you to get away from the tourism and really hobnob with the locals. I’ve been there twice and will be more than willing to go back a third time.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When I was checking out the man checking me out of my room was incredibly horrible. He jeered and laughed at me for asking if I could pay with cash and credit. He mocked me with three men sitting at the bar at 8am drinking guinesses behind me all laughing at me as well. I felt so humiliated.
- Vincent (10/5): Classic Pub - We enjoyed our stay at The Ferryman. It’s a classic pub and the staff were exceptional. Unfortunately it was a little far from the main attractions and lacked live entertainment as well as meals at night. The room we stayed in was very good as was its condition. A classic pub.
- Hansford (8/5): Great for what it is: old world hotel over pub. - Rooms are tiny but to be expected for this type of pub/hotel. It was hot in the room but again most European hotels don’t have a/c. A fan of some type would have been a huge help. The bathroom door didn’t close, the shower overflowed if you took longer than 5 minutes literally. But the beds were comfortable and the location is perfect.
- marianac135 (4/5): Nice rooms don't make up for poor customer service! - The room was nice and the bed comfortable but we were very disappointed with the level of customer service we received.
During both nights we stayed at the hotel, a loud noise woke me and my partner up on 3 different occasions. It sounded like water running / whistling (perhaps some old water pipes?) but loud enough to wake us both up at the same time. We reported this to the hotel staff who were incredibly dismissive and implied we were not telling the truth by insisting "we have never, in all these years, received this complaint before". (We stayed in room 8). At check-out, the available staff admitted to us that her manager had instructed her to pretend not to be aware of our complaint. We left a written complaint to the manager with our contact details but never heard from him. All and all a very unprofessional attitude.
- DonnaEdenNC (8/5): Authentic lodging over a historic pub - This was a first- checked into our room right at the bar! We really enjoyed our stay directly above The Ferryman pub. The rooms were overlooking the Samuel Beckett Bridge and very quaint. This property was built in the 1700s so don't expect huge amenities. There is no lift and our room was on the third floor. We did have assistance with our luggage. We loved the full Irish breakfast and being able to pop downstairs for drinks. Be aware there is no onsite parking and the area is noisy until the pub closes down about 1 a.m. It was a bit farther to the Trinity College area than I expected but close to several of the hop on, hop off tour buses available around Dublin. We would stay again. Also the shower was a little small for larger people. Fun place!
- Jamie_in_SF (8/5): Really nice little hotel with a great pub to go with it - This place is a nice little hotel - it's not staying at the Ritz or anything, but has straightforward, decent accommodation. The only catch that you need to know is that you check in/out at the pub on the first floor, so you want to try and get there before the after work crowd comes in, but even if they are busy, they will still stop and totally get you set up with no hassles.
The rooms are nice, not super swank but decent and the beds are comfy. The WiFi is good, and it's near a bunch of really good restaurants. The breakfast is the traditional Irish breakfast and really, really filling.
I like that it's outside of the tourist areas (Temple Bar) but in what looks like the local tech scene and the area reminds me of SOMA in San Francisco from back in the late 1990's. It's an easy walk and/or cab to get around, and the taxi's are plentiful.
- David (6/5): Great Location - The hotel was in a great location but the amenities were not what I expected. It wasn't a bad experience just mediocre and the hotel is run from the bar. The staff seemed overworked from running the bar but overall the room was nice. I do wish that the room was cleaner as I did find hair and other things in my room from prior guests but nothing too detrimental. Was a great base of operations for Dublin though and very convenient with the airport buses.
- Ashley (10/5): Loved it! - The Ferryman was perfect for us! It was a great place to stay in a great location. It was perfect to have a pint downstairs at the end of a busy day exploring!
- Emma (8/5): - Perfectly located for the conference centre. Modest and compact but clean with good standard bedding and shower. Would recommend.
- Julie (10/5): - Great hotel above and awesome pub, yet still quiet in the rooms and feels very safe. 15 min walk to "downtown" . The staff were all amazing very friendly and helpful 24 hrs a day. The rooms were clean and comfy. We had a great view of the river! I would stay here again in heartbeat.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A great little place to stay - My room was small but clean and the breakfast was full Irish. I made the mistake of checking in around 5 pm on a sunny day and the bar downstairs was packed but Will, the bartender helped me sign in and then carried my bags upstairs for me(3 flights-no elevator). Not appropriate for family with kids but perfect for a solo traveller
- Maggie (10/5): Great location - Centrally located which was a big bonus.. great breakfast and very friendly sky servixe. Overall, great value for the money
- Verified traveler (8/5): Busy bar - Loved this place. Bar was buzzing as there wasn't much else nearby. Able to walk to Croke Park for concert and felt safe walking back. Couldn't wait for Rolling Stones to finish so I could get back for a pint! Breakfast was nothing special but the staff were lovely.
- Terri (10/5): Nice stay in a cool part of Dublin - The Ferryman is a historic pub located on the Liffey River by the Beckett Bridge. The hotel is in the back of the building. It is about a ten-minute walk to Dublin Center. It is located in the newly emerging high-tech district in Dublin, which I found an interesting mixture of old and new. The room was small but comfortable. My only complaint was that I had to climb four flights of stairs and I am sixty-something though fit.
