• Hiruni (10/5): Beautiful hotel in the centre of San Cristobal - This hotel was amazing. Clean, comfortable and decorated to a high standard with a nice ambience. It's in the centre of San Cristobal and only a few minutes walk to the main square. Inside the hotel feels like a peaceful oasis. I loved the rooftop sitting area. The staff at the reception very nice and helpful. I arrived in San Cristobal early in the morning and they let me store the bags at the hotel until check-in. I really enjoyed my stay. Nothing.

• Louise M K (2/5): Don’t bother unless you can cope with having water issues - Location I had issues from the moment I arrived after a ten hour journey 17.00 . NO HOT WATER , NO WIFI . I was informed the electrician didn’t come because of the weekend . I was told “I will switch on the water” and that during the day they have solar panels heating the water . DAY TWO , same issue with the water morning and evening , dribbles , between complaining and getting into a nervous wreck… some warm water but not enough to wash the hair . A wifi router appeared in the outside space . DAY THREE , receptionist and cleaner spent approx 45 min to try and sort out the water , at this stage I couldn’t flush the toilet . I was told the pipes were broken . Late afternoon , I try and have a shower . Ice cold water. The receptionist tried to run the water in the adjoining room which didn’t work either . I was told the water was fixed , I hopped into the shower and the dribbles stopped and I stood there with soap all over me . Again I called the girl bla bla la ONE hour later and still no shower . I complained to the manager or owner , to booking.com . This is NOT acceptable . If you can’t run a hotel properly it should be closed until the water situation is resolved.

Também não gostei da pouca iluminação das ruas ao redor, mesmo a cidade sendo tranquila, não existe lugar tranquilo quando se é uma mulher viajante solo. Iluminação adequada ba cidade é importante, mas sei que isso não é responsabilidade da hospedagem.

• Raúl (8/5): Personal excelente, muy céntrico - Está muy bien ubicado a 2 minutos de la plaza principal de San Cristóbal de las Casas. El personal es muy amable y nos facilitaron todos los aspectos de nuestra estancia allí, permitiéndonos dejar el equipaje después de haber hecho el check out e incluso permitiendo que utilizáramos las duchas antes de nuestra partida. Nuestra cabaña tenía en la planta de abajo un pequeño salón con un sofá y un cuarto de baño con ducha todo muy limpio y con un secador de pelo. En el piso de arriba estaba la cama doble, un armario y una televisión. La cama es muy cómoda y se duerme perfectamente. La Wi-Fi funciona muy bien. Las toallas no estaban limpias, tenían manchas. Las cortinas no opacifican y en cuanto amanece no hay nada de oscuridad en la habitación.

The facility is beautiful and very peaceful. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

The rooms were large, very clean, hot showers with good pressure, heating, comfy bed, quiet for sleeping, zen shared space and overall friendly staff. • Pad86 (9/5): Superb - This charming little hotel offers very fair prices and boasts a super central location. I stayed in a two-level cabana with a cozy living area and bathroom on the lower floor, and a super comfy bed upstairs. I slept really well! The room included a small coffee machine and drinking water, which I greatly appreciated. The shower was excellent, with really hot water and solid water pressure. I enjoyed the hotel's pleasant common areas, including a rooftop and a semi-covered area with tables where you can even work, complete with available plugs. The staff was always friendly and easy-going. I was able to extend my stay without any issues and could store my luggage and use the common area before my night bus, which I highly appreciated! There were a few minor downsides: a construction site behind my room caused some noise during the day, and there was a nearby karaoke party on Saturday night—though not the hotel's fault. Unfortunately, the WiFi was very weak, almost unusable with download speeds typically less than 1 Mbps. If you need reliable internet for remote work, this isn't the place for you, though this issue is fixable as nearby coffee shops have better WiFi. Another small issue was the bathroom mirror, which was mounted too low, making shaving a bit tricky but manageable. I'd book here again, but please invest in better WiFi!

Beautiful hotel. - I paid a small sum of money and got a room change with windows opened towards the inside not the road which was much better. Very spacious and beautiful. Nice decoration. Good WIFI finally. Very nice and friendly staff. Excellent location. Nice dinning area but the hotel does not serve breakfast or meals. Maybe the area is for the guests or the owner to relax. Not sure. The first room I was given was very noisy. The only safe window to open is in the toilet, which faces the road. It was very noisy. I chose not to open the other window that faces the inside because people who walk by can see you through it. My Apple products could not connect to the hotel WIFI only the Samsung products could. My apple products could connect to the WIFI at the reception area and the room right on top of the reception area (the Standard Queen Room). That's why I requested to switch to the Standard Queen Room at the end. Don't choose "Double Room with Private Bathroom"- noisy and no WIFI for Apple products. Choose "Standard Queen Room", which I changed to later. The staff finally let me switch room on the last day after my repeated requests but they charged me extra for that. It was a little bit frustrating. Stairs without fence at one side. A little bit dangerous. No staff at the reception area after 20:00 and the main door would be locked. You need a key to open the door yourself. Better arrive early for check-in.

The staff is wonderful, and the rooms are big and comfortable. Just the little pressure from the shower and the natural light in interior rooms which is not very much.

Room was on a noisy street and very dimly lit. Upon departure the host tried to keep my deposit because they were missing a towel, I had to open up my suitcase to show them I didn’t have their towel for them to return my deposit.

The hotel radiates cleanliness with a charming, artistic, and spiritual ambiance. Its central location eliminates the need for taxis or buses. Billy, the owner, was delightful, offering helpful directions and city recommendations. I'm grateful for the early morning check-in, especially after a long trip to Chiapas. I eagerly anticipate staying there again in the future. The hotel's main gate closed early each night, and although someone was available to open it upon request, it proved challenging at times. This became a significant issue when I had a 4 am tour, as no one was in the lobby to assist, nearly causing me to miss the tour. I recommend having staff attend to the door during all hours of closure in the future for improved convenience and security.

Also, it is located in the historic area of the city and is only minutes away from everything you would want to see or need. I enjoyed my stay and the stuff also was very Attentive in cleaning and keeping my room. Neat during my stay of several days.

They did not give us the option for the late checkout (we had the bus at 23:00) even if we bought 2 tours through the hotel and even if the hotel was TOTALLY empty. They just kept our luggages until our departure. Noises from places next to until very late (2:00/3:00). No air condition.

• Leonie (7/5): Though noisey from the neighbouring bar, very comfortable bed and plenty of space. - very clean hotel with plenty of space and comfortable bed. a lot of noise coming from the neighbouring youth hostel bar.
• Robert (10/5): A Gem.... - This hotel is an absolute gem, one of the nicest places I've stayed at in a long time. Had the split level "Shakti Cabin." Made me think of a Swiss ski chalet, with some Indian thematic touches here and there. Big table, sofa, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a strong shower. Lovely staff, decent breakfast (fruit, eggs, toast, coffee/ tea). Two blocks away from the central plaza, lots of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The proximity to the central plaza means that, on some nights, you can hear the noise of whatever festivity is happening there. Not a criticism of the hotel since the noise will carry to anywhere in the centro, but something you might want to be aware of.
• Luisa (10/5): Exceptional little Hotel!:) - Such a wonderful Hotel! I was there as a female solo traveler as well as for work and I was taken care of so well. The rooms have a great design and atmosphere, my "casita" was very spacious (two floors), they are very clean, you have free coffee (which even gets refilled when it's empty ;)), a very good free breakfast, you can also get massages and take yoga classes. The management and staff is so supportive and kind and everyone tried their best to help me whenever I needed anything. I hopefully have to return to San Christobal soon and I am already looking forward to my next stay at Hotel Ganesha :)

• Russell (10/5): Exceptional Place - Fabulous stay. Truly exceptional staff and relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. Lovely rooms, pleasing layout, light and airy courtyard and breakfast area, great rooftop with 360⁰ views of the city. Freshly made breakfast served on demand and delicious. Great coffee in room - much better than 5* hotels on this trip - and unlimited drinking water. Fantastic, helpful, friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. Difficult to think of anything, but shower controls a little tricky.

• Ati (10/5): Surprisingly great experince - Wonderful place, only 9 rooms (hope I recall it correctly) but all different. We had the king street view, there are two other kings one with garden view too. Breakfast was great, staff exceptional. They have a meditation, yoga room roof top area, enclosed dining area, laundry, massage (at cost) we loved everything about our stay. one caveat each room is different so our experience was for one of the king rooms, but the rest of positive comments are valid for the property. Loved everything, location, staff, meditation and yoga room. The trip to Chamula village booked by the hotel was a life changing experience. Please ask for Rodrigo the guide if he is available. Beli, Alexandro, Edwardo and the other staff felt like family, if we ever come back I would only stay here.
• Hiten (9/5): Truly wonderful hotel and service! - Loved this hotel. Super friendly staff from reception to chef. Excellent location - 10 minutes walk from ADO and only a few minutes walk to the main sites, cafes and restaurants. Large room with a very comfy bed and clean. Strong WiFi. Excellent breakfast with a vegetarian option. Was delicious! Coffee maker in room. Arrived early from a night bus, and initially the hotel offered to store my bag. On arrival they went beyond their high service and as a room was available they allowed me to check in early. A real professional outfit and would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making my 2 night stay filled with pleasure and fond memories. Would have given 10 out of 10, but The hot water was intermittent. I had the room at the front so could hear noise from traffic and music from the gym opposite. If you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for a room at the back. They are very accommodating.
