Guest Reviews
- Michael S (2/5): - When I pulled in, I told myself, Self ! There isn’t a chance on Gods green earth me sleeping at this place. To be polite, I’d have to say the County should condemn, and that’s being polite.
- James (2/5): Don’t go there until remodeling is done - I cannot believe that this hotel is on your site. Filthiest room and hotel I have been to in my life. Did not take a shower because tub was filthy. Sink and counter were gross. They were doing remodeling, but should let customers stay in rooms that are just gross
I will attach some photos, please feel free to contact me if you cannot recognize any issues with any of them.
If I had not been driving all day I would have left. There were two doors to enter the hallway where the rooms were. One had a sign on it that please keep door closed, the other could not be shut or latched in anyway and the manager told me that
I sat the filthy bed and tried to figure out if it would be safe to go to sleep. I finally decided to pull a couch over in front of the door and went to sleep.
The parking lot and I use that term very loosely was an area with a lot of grass and some flat cement Two pickups were backed up to a wall of the building and I thought if I parked next to them I would block the way out of this sketchy parking area.
- Angela (2/5): - The place was very trashy. it was a crack motel. The place was filthy, very run down, my room had cigarette ashes on the floor next to my bed with a cigarette butt, the bath tub was so disgusting, had black stuff in it that looked as if they tried to cover it up with white paint abs then sink was dirty and had hair in it. The curtain was half torn down, there was no lock on the door and the air conditioner didn’t work. They sheets on the bed smelled as well as did the the room itself. It was not worth the money i paid for a night. i ended up leaving in the middle of the night cause it was so bad.
- Mandalee (2/5): - This was a terrible place to stay. Didn’t feel save. It was very dirty. Pee & hair all over the toilet & bathroom. Frankly you shouldn’t partner with a place like this. Highly dissatisfied.
- Riley (2/5): - Place was just filthy. We didn’t sleep under the sheets. Probably hadn’t been washed in a few weeks.
- Lyle (6/5): - The room was certainly a time capsule from the 70s and the lobby is being renovated, but if you just need a place to grab 8 hours sleep before getting back on the road, it gets the job done. If you want anything other than a bed, look elsewhere.
- jacob (2/5): - This property needs to close while remodeling. It isn’t safe or clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't do it - Worst hotel I have ever been in. Dirty, under construction, owners were loud late into the night, stains on all sheets and pillows, microwave wasn't plugged in and didn't reach a plug.
- William (10/5): My stay - Not bad ..would recommend to anyone
- Michael (8/5): - Old and under Renovation
- Mario De (2/5): - Dirty I reserved king bed and they game me queen. Hot water not working properly.
- Robert (2/5): Never stay here - Disgusting. The person working didn't know how to check me in. Don't stay here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is absolutely the worst place I’ve ever been to. It is nothing like the pictures, the property used to be an old nursing home and still looks like a really old nursing place broken down the owner has not spent money to make this place adequate in fact no family should ever have to experience the foul smelling, dirty broken down place. The beds were horrible still the same as used for the nursing home the sheets had yellow stains all over and although he stated no smoking the covers had cigarette burns all over. Wires exposed paint chipping walls floors everything dirty I can’t believe Expedia even offers this place. Do not stay here at all. I asked the owner for a refund he of course said no. I could not torture my family by staying a night in these horrific conditions so we went to the Best western plus down the street for a bit more money and forfeited the money I spent on this place I hope the owner takes my money and spends it on fixing up the place. Sorry for not taking pictures we ran out because it was that bad. Don’t stay here and Expedia please at least verify the hotels before allowing them to sell through you guys this place is a dump sorry it really is.
- Ronda (2/5): No Interior lock on room. External door stays open - There was ZERO LOCKS on room door. And the exterior door was swinging open. When i saw there was no lock. Asked front desk 4 a room with lock. And was told" what did you expect 4 this price"?? Refused 2 refund money and demanded i leave if i didnt like room. Btw i am a middle aged woman traveling ALONE.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nasty place, obviously a place that is used for shady things
- musicbrokers1966 (4/5): Dreadful. - Dreadful. I rarely post a truly negative review but this placed should close until it can be brought up to acceptable standards. Dirty. Worn out. Smelly. Broken. Two stars for friendly staff making an effort but it's not enough.
- Randi (10/5): Great - I liked the stay private and lots of storage great for long stays
- Mauricio (4/5): NEVER AGAIN - no words
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Constant flow of people in and out at all times of the night. People talking loud all night, couldn't sleep.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn't like anything. No staff on duty. No room for the night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): horrible place - Building was leaking dirty bugs and cockroaches were found towels and sheets had stains mirrors were dirty and when I approached the manager he yelled at me and told me to get out an locked me out
- Philip (2/5): - All I can say is that it should be condemned!!!! I don’t think they clean between guests. Dead bugs and visible spills all over.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Terrible
- Michael (2/5): Should be paid for staying there. - smelly room, dirty bath towels etc... No accessible outlets for electronics.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good-Location of hotel was on my way into town.
Not so good-No breakfast. Could have had prepackaged items and self serve/single serve coffee
- Amanda (8/5): Good for how inexpensive it is - For the price u can’t beat it. Needs more housekeeping help , Under staffed in that area.... but overall nice people running the place and it’s in a great location if u like to gamble .
- JaviV1983 (8/5): Great place to stay while working in the area. - My stay was for work. The room was very spacious and clean. Lots of closet room. Big comfortable bed, with full size refrigerator. Sink area included a microwave and big mirror. Restroom/ shower are ok. WiFi is great and tv has local a cable channel’s. If you are passing through and are on a budget this is your place or are in the Wind/Oil industry working in the area this a a must stay. Staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Hands down a great place to stay.
- Aimee (2/5): Unsafe and Misrepresented. - I booked a reservation three hours prior to arrival through hotels.com. When I arrived I found the property in disrepair. There were zero lights in the parking lot (located next to a late night club). The roof was under construction and the entire surroundings looked very questionable. I don't know how else to say it, but as two women traveling to what we thought would be an affordable $50 hotel, it felt extremely unsafe. We both got out of the vehicle and went in the lobby. The "open" sign in the window for the hotel was off and the lobby was sparsely decorated. We asked to see the room before checking in. He walked us down a hallway with broken blinds and opened our reserved room. The room looked ok expect there was no cover sheet on the bed (only a flannel with a sheet). It also smelled of smoke (and we had reserved a non-smoking room). I gave it the benefit of the doubt and discussed parking in the space before our room. I was in a subaru with an 8ft trailer (small). The manager refused to offer us parking in front of the room and insisted that we park our car next door at the club. That parking lot was completely dark. I told the manager that I felt unsafe and that I would not park my car overnight in the dark. I stormed off saying there would be no refund. I called Hotels.com and explained the situation. I am 38 yrs old. I have traveled the world from India to Italy, to Canada and Indonesia. If I feel unsafe, I speak up. The property did not represent itself accuratly.
- myrtle454 (2/5): Unsafe: Not represented by pictures - I reserved a bedroom for two adults through hotels.com three hours prior to arriving at the hotel.
When we arrive, no lights are on including the "open" sign hanging in the window. The parking lot is completely dark with no lights. There are cars parked with broken windows. I give it the benefit of the doubt. The lobby is very sparse and a man meets us behind the counter. I ask to see the room. The room looks as aspected minus a bed cover (only a sheet and flannel) and then tells us we must park in the dark. I am traveling with my mother age 76 and a camper trailer. I tell him we don't feel comfortable parking in the dark and would prefer not to stay here. He insists no refund. I say "ok". I call hotel.com and after a lengthy explanation of the circumstances, can't figure why such a place would be represented by a third party booking agency. We received a voucher for the Econolodge. All travelers who want to feel safe in bed and with a vehicle in a parking lot, don't stay here. They simply need to invest in MAJOR improvements.
- travelin_ewok (6/5): Not great, not terrible, just ok. - Room was big, full size fridge and a microwave. Bathroom was small and shower head is too low by today’s standards, however; the water pressure was good.
I think aside from the slow internet my biggest complaint would be whatever bite me while I was sleeping. I didn’t see any signs of bed bugs but the bite marks were consistent with what bed bugs would leave. Could have been mosquitos but alas didn’t see any of those either.
Noise travels in this hotel and the proprietors kids made a lot of it.
- Joey (6/5): Cheap - I Borrowed an iron and it was melting and ruined my shirt i told them and they acted like it was me that did it just dont ask them for anything else and you should be ok had a bug in the room i smashed it it was the only one i seen
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The add for this place is misleading. The building needs a lot of work and looks nicer in the pictures. Had bugs in the hallway and one in the room. Breakfast was not what it is advertised to be
- Jonas (8/5): Good clean basic accommodations. - If you're looking for a plush, upscale hotel, this ain't it. If you need a good clean comfortable room, this is what you're looking for!
The property has been repurposed, no fancy carpeting, the hallway is hot, and the common area is very basic.
My room had a full sized fridge and microwave, decent TV, good hot shower, and everything worked.
The bed and linens were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful, both checking in and out.
So don't give a bad review because it used to be a hospital, and it's not the Ritz! I needed a shower and a good night's sleep in a clean comfortable bed, and that's what I got!
- Patricia (4/5): Hot room - Hall and lobby are not air conditioned. Took most of the night to cool the room down after having to get down on hands and knees to turn on air conditioner. Bathroom had a bad odor. However, it was quiet and bed was comfortable.
- Mike (8/5): - Great value! Economic, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Not high-end or modern facility, but had basics, wifi, tv, and hot shower.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was an old hospital turned hotel, the halls were scary and there was even a sign in the bathroom to call for nuree help.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent staff large fridge quite! Working on upgrade to property.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The manager was extremely nice and our room was very clean. Overall good experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - One of the covers had a cigarette burn. The other cover was stained. Place looks like a mental facility on the inside.
- Karthik_Venkata_2018 (10/5): Front desk lady is excellent - Motel is nice and clean. They renovated the property recently. Cheap rate to other motel this area. Location is perfect for me to as traveler highway 70 and I-20. Room is clean and bigger. I happy with them as customer service.
- Verified traveler (2/5): America's Premier, Not! - We arrived at night and although the gps said we have arrived, we didn't recognize it for a hotel. There was plenty of parking but only one lone truck which should have been our second clue to it's popularity. The hotel must have been a renovation project from a warehouse or other commercial building with low ceilings and pipes running in the middle of the ceiling of our room. There's to much to list but just one more complaint. The shower head was very low and a problem for tall men like me. But that can be put up with if the water would stay a consistent temperature. Every 10 seconds it would go from scorching hot to really cold and then back to hot. Timing was everything to get in and out at the right time when it was in the warm stage. We laugh about the whole experience now and put our stay experience at the lowest of the low. The hotel name of America's Premier Inn is an oxymoron and a far stretch of the meaning of the words.
- Jessica (2/5): - We didn't even make it in the parking lot. The pictures that are posted are supposed to be of the inside. Not real sure if that is really what it looks like because the outside is very run down and scary. Had some pretty scary looking folks parked out side. Not inviting at all. Looks very unsafe. We tried to cancel and they do not allow cancellations. I am sure they don't allow cancellations because they know that you wont make it in the door. DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all.
- DudesAdrift (2/5): Horrible Dump - This place is a mess. Yellow caution tape across the front. Druggies and drunks wandering the parking lot. Flooded dirty "lobby", office that looks like a custodian closet. Really rude and aggressive owner/manager who refused to give us our money back when we could not bare to stay at this place. It is obviously very unsafe and unkept. While we were there at least 8 other potential customers walked in, walked out, and walked away. Several of them checked in with us, at another motel down the street, where it is clean, friendly, and welcoming. This guy may even be in the process of making improvements, but he was so nasty that we never had that conversation.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It’s not a hotel... it’s dirty and cheap ex hospital
- MichAel (2/5): - It’s not a hotel it’s cheap and dirty hospital it’s better to creep in car
- Jarred (6/5): Mediocre - Lady there was nice. Room was fine, but the infrastructure is torn up.
- John (6/5): Not that great at all - There really wasn't much to describe other than bring your own sheets sanitizer and no mini fridge
- rivera (2/5): Nightmare - Not good.
- Anthony (2/5): - The staff was rude and unprofessional. Hotel didn’t provide shower towels.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Is an old abandoned hospital, not clean at all, smell bad, parking lot with dubious security. I dont know why expedia accept this kind of places
- Bill (4/5): Defintely a lower tier motel to jcrash for a night - Well ... pay for what you get. While only $45 a night, there's a reason. The facility appears to be an old nursing home converted into a hotel. I'm fairly flexible and could give a crap ... but, if looking for a hotel with amenities, this ain't it - bare bones - bed, tv, and call it a night. Although, an adventure none the less. The staff was nice and I had no issues but if a suburbia family, likely not ur place.
- Craig (10/5): The people - Was a great place the service was great the people made the stay there great.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property was way outdated and look abandoned. Staff had poor service, no breakfast or WiFi as stated on website. Pictures are not what it look like. I couldn't cancel room because it was non refundable.
- Bill (4/5): - A very old facility that needs an upgrade. Had to park on the dirtl;
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Needs more comfort. Fixture are old and dirty. But, the Bed was comfortable. Cheap hotel, so it was worth the money.
- Joe (4/5): Dump - Good luck. Old hospital converted to motel in seedy part of town.
