Guest Reviews
- mickbV8350QK (10/5): Superb place to stay. - Great place to stay, central location, friendly staff, excellent food . Would highly recommend if you're staying in Conwy.
- Abii (10/5): Wedding party - Room was lovely, staff were great and very friendly. Breakfast was delish! Great stay would definitely stay again
- Cathy (10/5): - Excellent food options even for gluten-free. Staff was extremely professional, room was amazing. Wonderful place to stay for our vacation.
- Jack (10/5): - Fun place to stay with plenty of action just below you, Cute town is easily walkable. Two great things, first the staff is very friendly and helpful. Now the best part, the food is fabulous. One of the better meals I have had all month
- Sara (10/5): - Check in was really easy and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room looked out towards the castle and was beautifully decorated and spotless. The hotel is very central and long stay parking is just a few minutes walk away. The evening meal was delicious and the pub had a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was included and again was really good. Check out was nice and easy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here
- Jill (10/5): Great location and comfortable. - Comfortable and in a great location. Parking not very convenient, but everything else was good.
- Sean (10/5): Loved it here - really enjoyed our stay here. Great room, friendly staff, excellent bar. What more could you want
- Diane (10/5): - Enjoyed walking to various parts of the town that included the castle, the shops and down to the water.
- Michael (10/5): - Delightful accommodations with "old world charm"! We had a corner room with an irregular shape which added to its character. A fabulous breakfast promptly served included in stay in a room with ample setting and a truly lovely setting. Conveniently locates across the street from the train station, but not noisy at all. Good spot to visit Llandudno and other sites.
- EDWARD (10/5): - Great place to stay in Conwy. The breakfast was incredible. Very conveniently located. Large, clean rooms with nice views. Friendly staff.
- chrisbJ2180IJ (2/5): The worst restaurant I have ever been to. - We only booked to eat as we found it on a restaurant site. When we got there we had a table reserved and were shown to it. I have to say that in all honesty, for the price, it was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. The waitress was pleasant enough and asked if we wanted drinks. While our party was sorting that out one of us asked if we could have water on the table and we were brought warm tap water which tasted awful. They never offered us ice and in any case that would most likely have been tap water ice. I had soup to start but it looked and tasted nothing like the soup it was supposed to be and more like oxtail which I did not order and though it had been thrown in the mix with the soup that I did order. The bread that came with it was soft on the one side but felt hard and stale when you turned it over like it had been left exposed to the air. So then we got our drinks and not one of them had ice in them and the beer/lager the men in the party had was not very cold either. We ordered out main course and one of our party ordered a bottle of champagne (she had two on the table during the meal) but although they came in a ice bucket it was devoid of ice. It was a very hot day and was still very close and warm in the evening. I ordered Haddock and chips with minted peas as did another member of our party and neither of us liked it. The batter was running in grease and inedible and the chips were congealed, obviously reheated (and I don't know how may times). As for the minted peas they were placed underneath the fish and despite the oily batter they were dried up and tasteless (In fact the following day we had fish and chips on the pier and they were so much better than what we had in the restaurant). One of our party (himself a restaurateur called the waitress to complain about the chips. and the waitress took his plate. The Chef then came out and said he would rectify the problem but only came back with new chips for him and left the rest of us with the inedible chips - nobody else said anything because they did not want their plates taken back to the kitchen as I think we all felt by this time that we could not trust the chef. So some just left their chips and others wrapped theirs in a serviette to give to the seagulls (who incidentally refused to eat them). Nobody in the party enjoyed their meal and my husband left most of his. By the time we were trying to order a sweet because we were all still hungry a male member of staff came over and said we had not got time to have a sweet because the table was booked for the next customer - we had not been there for more than an hour and maybe 15 minutes. Anyway we did get out sweets because we simply did not move but even after we had paid a bill of about £280 four of our party went to get drinks in the bar and were asked why they were still in the building and told them to leave as it was for residents. So why are they providing restaurant service to non tenants in the first place? I have to say here that none of our party were loud or rude, in fact five of us are between 55 and 80 and only two of our party were young in their 30's and they are both business owners and quiet, responsible people. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant and I certainly will NEVER go back there again. We are regularly asked a good place to go and eat and I will make sure I steer everybody away from the Erskin Arms for sure.
- Susan (8/5): Weekend break - Staff where very friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very pleasant surprise. - Lovely staff, nice room. Definitely a little warm in the summer, but not unbearable. The restaurant and bar downstairs makes some very tasty traditional food, and the staff is absolutely lovely. It's also only a few steps from the train station, which is a HUGE bonus. I would absolutely stay here again.
- Mackarel2014 (10/5): Wedding celebration - We had our wedding reception here yesterday and from the moment we arrived, Ben and his team went out of their way to make the day as special as could be.
Fabulous food, exceptional service and a fantastic ambience made the occasion a real joy - a big mention also to John and Nicole. The rooms were divine, too!
Thanks again guys ❤️
- Joyce (8/5): - There was no parking on site but was close to other pay and display car park nearby. Convenient spot to city centre. We lived on the top floor which was very hot but luckily there was a fan which helped a bit. The toilet was a bit small and my partner found it difficult to move in it.
- rhinoman62 (10/5): Uk holiday - Beautifully presented hotel.
In the heart of the city.
Conwy castle at your doorstep.
Cute room , well appointed with the amenities you would expect. Quaint bathroom with a great pressure shower.
Bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast had plenty of choices including a hot option.
Service was great.
- David98 (10/5): Erskine Arms : great choice for rooms and food in Conwy - We stayed at the adjacent Y Capel with our son , and ate breakfast at the Erskine , and dinner one evening .
Overall we found the rooms very good . Spacious , well equipped , good water pressure and plenty of hot water . The church bells fade into the distance after a while !
Breakfasts were excellent . Good local sausages and bacon . Dinner was unexpectedly good and great value . Lovely real ales too .
Friendly engaged staff , overall a very good experience and we will be back .
Thank you Erskine Arms and Y Capel !
- Brett (10/5): - Beautiful property in an amazing location. Parking was a worry, but the car park nearby was available and not a large cost. Thanj you!
- Melita (10/5): - Nice central location and good room
- duncanj666 (4/5): Disappointing stay at Erskine Arms - I stayed at the Erskine Arms over the spring bank holiday. I have visited Conwy many times and have noticed this imposing well presented hotel, and have always fancied a stay there. Unfortunatly my stay was disappointing !. After a evening out i returned to the Erskine for a 'night cap at 10.35pm .upon entering the bar area (where a dozen or so people were drinking) the manager told me the bar was closed !..I explained that I was a resident , but he said " That doesn't matter !. He was very rude to us both and turned and walked off. After a good night's sleep in room 23 ( which was comfy and clean ), we went down to breakfast. The fruit juice jug was empty ( and not refilled, and after 20 mins a waiter appeared to take our order. After another lengthy wait our breakfast arrived ( only 8 people there by the way). The breakfast was served in child sized portions 1 egg,I small sausage ,1 rash of bacon etc
. After trying to attract the attention of waiter I went to bar and asked for teapot to be refilled .after 15 mins the aforementioned rude manager dumped the teapot on our table ! ..very disappointing overall , not worth £135 we paid!.. our first and last stay !..
- Karen (10/5): - Went to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Had a lovely stay at The Erskine Hotel. Staff were really good and the food and accommodation were excellent. Would definitely stay here next time we visit North Wales
- Miren (10/5): - Fantastic hotel and restaurant.
- Qi Feng (10/5): - Beautiful property and very central location, walking distance to everything. Nice breakfast and friendly staffs . Highly recommended.
- Nancy (8/5): - Very nice hotel, bar and restaurant
- jeff (10/5): - Conwy is so beautiful and the Erskine Arms is amazing. The rooms were outstanding and the staff as well. What a great pub and make sure to eat there too. The breakfast was superb and kipper fans will love their treat. Cheers!
- Russell (8/5): - Wonderful food.
Attentive staff
Very welcoming
Unfortunately starting to look a little dated in places and could do with some TLC.
Cleanliness could be better, you dont need to look to hard to find places thatva missed either in the pub, the restaurant or the rooms.
- richardjZ4778OX (10/5): Great stay ( a must) - Fabulous Stay
Lovely welcome on arrival, very smart and clean bedroom with a nice bathroom and shower. One of the best beds I’ve slept in and the breakfast was very good served by lovely staff.
I won’t be staying anywhere else in future!!!
Well done!
- Simon (10/5): Faultless hotel on all levels - Faultless accommodation in great location. The staff were all so very friendly and helpful. Shout out to John especially, he’s a credit to you for sure.
- C (10/5): Fantastic weekend break - Great hotel, great location and really friendly staff. The restaurant is also very very good - i recommend booking in advance as its very popular.
Coyldnt fault the place - a great stay was enjoyed by all six if our party.
- Nicola (10/5): Amazing - Amazing everytime we stay
- barrym296 (10/5): Ruby wedding surprise - We visit the Erskine regularly for drinks, great bar and beer choices, so we decided to stay for our anniversary, booked a few rooms in the chapel annex and took some friends and family along. What a great experience, lovely clean place, had your own communal area with tea and coffee, rooms were lovely, comfy beds, quality bedding and towels, great showers, had a great night around Conwy and back to bed. Breakfast was just as good an experience, loads of choices from cereals, yogurts and full welsh, lots of tea and coffee, juices.
It was unanimous, we all loved the stay, and cant wait to go again. thanks to all the staff for their hard work, and more importantly for helping surprise my wife.
We had rooms 2, 3 and 4 in the Y Chapel building, and all were a similar decor and quality, 4 being slightly bigger room. All on the ground floor.
- Matthew (10/5): - great stay, staff very helpful
- JohnGalt2 (8/5): Third Floor Room and Distant Parking - Although the Erskine Arms was pleasant and I would probably stay there again, there are a couple of aspects that other travelers should know. First of all, when making the booking, I requested a room on the lowest floor available knowing this hotel did not have an elevator and our age is making it more difficult to climb stairs. Our room was on the 3rd floor (i.e. fourth floor to us in the US). They did move our bags upstairs but the stairway was narrow and steep and should be avoided. I also noticed that the only fire evacuation route was down this single set of stairs.
The other issue was with parking. Being inside the walls of a medieval city we knew there were challenges for this. The hotel did discuss these things with the pre-arrival information that was sent but their guidance indicated there was parking across the road from the hotel. Although this might be the case, from my experience it would be necessary to "pay the meter" before 800am every morning and perhaps in the evening too. We had to use a parking lot much further away from the hotel that was not even described in the pre-arrival information.
Their location almost across the street from the Conwy Castle along with their pub and restaurant still makes this a good place to stay.
- 43wandas (10/5): Fabulous Experience - What a fabulous place this is. We didn't want to leave. We were given such a warm welcome and the staff couldn't do enough for us.
We parked directly across the road but how long you can park there changes from February. But there was another large car park 2 mins away.
The room was so lovely with a beautiful Welsh blanket as an additional cover if needed. The complimentary drinks of teas, coffee and hot chocolate and water were excellent. The decor is really lovely. There was a gorgeous snug side room and wonderful pictures, photos and art work throughout
. If you struggle with stairs make sure you get a room on the lower floors. The stair carpet design is of a Welsh blanket and just adds to the considered design of the place. The attention to detail such as the love spoon key rings are a lovely touch.
We had dinner in the restaurant and the service was exemplary. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The bottles of wine were reasonably priced and we had the Sauvignion which was lovely.
It is an excellent location right next door to the castle so we were first in the queue when it opened at 10am. It is so close to the shops and the Quay side too.
The breakfast menu is excellent and we had the full Welsh one that was delicious.
We will definitely stay here again as the whole experience was wonderful and a huge thank you to the staff for making it such a fabulous experience.
- Kelly (10/5): - My husband and I opted for a short holiday in Wales and chose to go to Conwy. We chose the Erskine Arms based off reviews and it was even better than we expected. We had a large bedroom with a full bath. Plenty of electrical outlets, a kettle with an array of coffee and tea and plenty of extra blankets. The room remained a comfortable temperature with a radiator in the room - we opened and closed the window as needed. One of the best things about the Erskine Arms is the location. Once we parked, our car stayed parked until we left. We walked all over the town. The castle is literally right across the street. We enjoyed the short river cruise, ice cream ant Parisella’s, sausage rolls from Edwards and spent time in a pub called The Albion. We dined at the Erskine Arms both nights and the food was outstanding. We also took advantage of the complementary Full Welsh breakfast each morning. I would fully recommend The Erskine Arms. You will not be disappointed.
- David (10/5): - Very easy check in, polite and friendly welcome, clean and warm rooms, parking easy outside, nice bar area and dinner in the restaurant was quick and tasty. Breakfast was excellent and all in all it was a good experience.
- Mark (10/5): Top stay in Conwy - Excellent stay in an old world coach house with a modern twist.
- Paul (10/5): - Excellent service and delicious meal in this well-located and comfortable inn. Very good value too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Couples weekend away - We absolutely loved our stay. Check in was easy and we were lucky enough to have one of the car spaces outside. The staff were extremely helpful and really nice. We explored Conwy for the afternoon before returning for an evening meal. The food was amazing and service was excellent. We had breakfast the next morning which was 10/10 we really enjoyed it. The hotel allowed us to leave our car whilst we went to get our children a present. We will definitely return, the hotel itself was amazing and our room was fantastic.
- jopezperry (10/5): Fantastic hotel and restaurant - Fabulous hotel. Wonderful staff & the room was very big and comfortable. The bed was so comfy and a powerful shower. We are both vegan and the meal in the restaurant was outstanding along with our breakfast in the morning. One of the best hotels in Wales. Book it!
- John (8/5): - The staff were great and room 22 was perfect with a large bed and plenty of space.
We ate at the hotel on our second night and the food was tasty and sufficient. However one meal came out cold and had to be reheated. Our waitress did give us a discount for this.
On our last morning there was no water, but not the hotel’s fault as a main had burst. Overall a very nice experience.
- Nicola (10/5): Amazing stay - Amazing staff and service. Food is excellent
- Valerie (10/5): Comfortable with great food and service. - We love the Erskine Arms and have visited several times in the past few years. The rooms are very comfortable with nice beds and great showers. Some rooms lack storage however. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The bar area is great but can get busy with people eating there early evening. The food for both breakfast and dinner is excellent with a lovely varied menu. The hotel overall is very comfortable and friendly with a good atmosphere. Unfortunately parking is limited and the church bells ringing throughout the night can be annoying so be prepared! We still love it though.
- Dom (8/5): - The pub is excellent and the two meals we had really were excellent. That being dinner and breakfast the next morning.
The real letdown of the stay was the room itself. The room was a good size and the bedroom was lovely, however the bathroom was full of mould stains and not particularly pleasant. The biggest downfall however was the bed. We stay at a lot of hotels and to say this bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever stayed in is not a understatement. Neither of us slept it was that bad you could feel every spring in the mattress. It is either a very old mattress or really poor quality. Its a real shame as it has put us off coming back here
- Passenger32696651537 (4/5): Not value for money - £13 for a gluten-free fishfinger sandwich
2slices of gf bread tomato and lettuce 5 grilled fish tails about an inch long very meagre !
and very small portion of chips all Luke warm
Not recommended to have for Gf .
There were 4 of us the other meals that weren’t GF were fine .
- Nicola (10/5): Amazing - Amazing stay, we will definitely be back
- Lindsay (10/5): - Close for walking the walled city
- Regina (10/5): - Lovely rooms. However, the church bells ring every hour and quarter hour. Close to the train station and bus station. The restaurant is delicious. Try the Sticky Toffee Pudding! Breakfast is also very good and plentiful. Recommend stayin and eating here.
- Endres (10/5): - Owner was incredibly gracious and helpful.
- Nicholas (10/5): Nice place - Very nice place conveniently located to everything in town. Only downside is extremely limited parking, but we were lucky to get one of their three spots across the street.
- Marie (10/5): Lovely little stay in Comwy - We had a lovely couple of nights in Comwy at the Erskine Arms. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The food was divine and the room was super comfortable. Location was central to everything, especially the awe-inspiring castle across the way.
- Maelgwyn (10/5): - Pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed the night’s stay
- Dan (10/5): - First and foremost was the staff. Extremely helpful and very understanding. Room was spotless and well maintained. A great choice for us.
- Rubh (8/5): Really lovely place - Lovely room with large window, easy to find. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. Would stay again.
- Lawrence (10/5): Nearly Perfect - Service was good Danielle was very sociable and pleasant could not fault the Erskine the only downside for me was having to climb 10 flights of stairs to my room on the top floor
- Zyriak (10/5): Cozy hotel in Conwy - Located right in Conwy (railway station across the street), this pub/restaurant/hotel is really cozy! Building itself is beautiful and well maintained. Staff was really nice!
I loved the design of my room, really suited the building, it was old-fashioned without feeling dated, it felt historically appropriate! Bathroom was super nice too! Room was also really clean and maintained.
I had dinner, which was really tasty and the breakfast was great too, it wasn't the largest full English, but everything was of high quality!
If you are visiting lovely Conwy, then I can really recommend The Erskine Arms!
- Clare (10/5): - Lovely hotel in the perfect location. Service was impeccable, all staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms are beautiful with picturesque views of the pretty town of Conwy. Loved the bar and the breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to visit again!
- Gareth (10/5): Love this place! - The Erskine Arms is a fantastic place, made great by the quality and upkeep of the hotel but, more importantly, the kindness and brilliance of the staff there. They are all so friendly and keen to help with whatever you need. And by the way, what fantastic food they serve up too!
This place truly is a perfect blend of physical and human excellence. To cap it all off, the location, in the heart of Conwy town, could not be better.
- johnbS9177ET (10/5): We would stay again - We stayed for two nights. The room was tastefully decorated and was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The bar and restaurant had a good atmosphere but due to its popularity I would suggest that you book a table. Service throughout the hotel was great.
TIP - Conwy was founded by King Edward 1st in 1283 so he didn't have to consider parking his car. There are only three parking spaces for the hotel but there is a large long stay carpark less than a ten minute walk away. with good rates. Follow the one way through the arch and turn IMMEDIATE LEFT not straight on as the sign suggests on the wall.
- Christopher (10/5): - Brilliant room and staff ,Breakfast very good Dinner was the best pub food we have tasted in a long long time. Parking in Conwy is a slight problem but available and was safe
- Darlene (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and Dinner were both great and the staff was super helpful. Loved beonh right in the heart of the city.
- Susan (10/5): Nice stay - Very nice, clean and great location across from the train station that connects across the bridge. Only issue might be the steep staircase to the top floor and no lift. Restaurant was good.
- Garry (10/5): -
- DIANA (10/5): Three pleasant nights - Perfect location. Helpful staff. Excellent restaurant, bar, and breakfast
- ANN (10/5): - Next to the train station is convenient. Charming beautiful room.
Great food downstairs.
- Jerry (10/5): - Friendly staff , lovely room , super food. All perfect
- Bruce (10/5): - Hidden jewel and great find. An older well-kept hotel. Modernized while keeping with the heritage of the hotel. A cozy lower-level pub. Great place to have a pint after a day of travel and shopping. The front door is a stone’s throw from the train station and castle wall. Around the corner is a small downtown loaded with shops and surrounded by castle walls. Great stop in northern Wales.
- Waltraud (8/5): Convenient location - Hotel is on a busy street (though room was quiet to the back)and no place to unload luggage, only 3 free parking spots- of course all gone- for hotel and restaurant. Paid parking few minutes to walk away. Room is ok, lots of stairs, internet is very slow or not working at all but for one night it was a clean and warm place to stay
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing! - Pros: nice facility; great location.
Cons: made a reservation for a King bed which wasn’t provided; mgr insisted bed was a King even though it clearly wasn’t; went to wrong room initially and was able to use my room key to open another person’s door (both of us were surprised!); room had an uncovered skylight which means sun comes streaming in for 5 am wake-up; ordered drinks in the bar from bartender who clearly had better things to do; overall, I booked because of very good reviews and was very disappointed.
- Mark (10/5): Recommended - Although under refurb outside (which was stated on website) beautiful inside. Lovely room. Comfy bed. Great beer. Hearty breakfast, amazing homemade black pudding. Missed fresh croissants though.
- Carl (10/5): - Nice big rooms clean warm very central food excellent definitely be using this place again
- Daniel (10/5): - Staff was super friendly and helpful with our late check-in. Breakfast was great. Close to everything.
- Dave_Scorgie (10/5): Amazing hotel - Room spotless and beautiful. Massive comfy bed. Plenty of room. Decor lovely and authentic. Although not advertised as having parking spaces, a phone call explaining limited mobility due to a broken foot and they offered us parked just behind the hotel. Meal at the hotel was delicious. They have a chef of excellent pedigree. Breakfast too was spot on. Their homemade blackpudding was to die for. Poached eggs in Eggs benedict perfect too. Staff really attentive. We will stay there again.
- Kim (10/5): - Lovely hotel in the heart of Conwy. Our room was large and comfortable, with the exception of the mattress which could do with an upgrade. Great staff, nice breakfast and good choice for evening dinner. The only downside is the lack of parking. Would definitely stay again
- Victor (10/5): Great location - Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff, very enjoyable reasonably priced evening meal. Excellent breakfast.
The room on the top floor accessed by a steep staicase, was spacious and very clean, slight downside the mattress was a little tired.
The location of the hotel was ideal very close to town centre.
Tip. The restaurant is very popular so book a table in advance.
Watch out for parking fines, paying by phone does not always work, one guest paid by phone and still got £100 worth of parking tickets in 2 days.
- angela (10/5): - Staff and facilities excellent, bed a little to soft for my liking, fabulous shower. Outstanding food.
- Einir (10/5): Nice place - Lovely place, good room in the centre of Conway. Excellent breakfast in a nice dining room . Shame that parking was not available and possibly the bed needed replacing
- Valerie (10/5): - Fabulous and very comfortable stay in central Conway. Excellent service in all areas , comfortable bed, good shower and great food. Free parking available but only 3 spaces. Station car park opposite £7.50 per 24 hrs. We thoroughly enjoyed a lovely short break.
- miguelquesada46 (10/5): Midweek break - Visited 3 - 5th October,and our room was on the 3rd Floor.
Beautiful large room with a beautiful bed and bathroom.
The downside was the wardrobe which was very small for our clothing. It was very comfortable with adequate tea and coffee facilities, biscuits and water.
Staff superb and food delicious. Lovely bar areas and dining facilities.
A highly recommended place to stay.
- Cliff (8/5): Charly - It was fine fitted the purpose for my visit
One or two staff seemed a bit slow at times in bar ?
But yes I’d probably go again
- Robert (8/5): - There is no lift so be prepared for quite a climb if you are registered on the 3rd floor . The rooms were charming once you got there
- LauraBray (8/5): Very enjoyable stay - We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Erskine Arms, staying in Y Capel opposite. The Old Chapel was converted sensitively in 2019 and our room was lovely - pleasant, light and spacious. Immaculately clean with crisp white bed linen and super comfy bed. Nice en-suite with shower. There was a communal area with a small kitchen (to make drinks) and comfortable sofas which we appreciated after a day out. Dinner in the Erskine Arms was excellent, great menu and delicious food in a buzzy atmosphere. Brilliant customer service from Morgan - she was so warm, friendly and efficient. Best to book as it was packed on the two evenings we ate there. I would have given 5 stars but breakfasts were patchy with problems in taking food orders, etc, on two mornings (not when Morgan was on duty though!). Conwy is a great place to stay with interesting historic castle and near National Trust properties such as Bodnant Gardens and Plas Newydd.
- Curious815310 (10/5): Weekend break - A friendly clean lovely central place to stay good choice of breakfast with gluten free options too will definitely be back for another visit parking isn’t too far away either just a very short walk away
- Susan (10/5): - Just returned from a lovely break at the Erskine Arms. Every single member of staff was friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The room was spotless and comfortable and the food was amazing and freshly cooked despite them being booked up every night and busy. Lovely bar area and beer garden as well. It is situated right in the centre of Conway with bus stops and station over the road and bars and restaurants all close by.
- martin (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a wonderful stay. Room 12 has a super king bed and the room is also big. We ate at the hotel twice and can recommend the menu offers a good variety of dishes. Staff where very pleasant and made our stay comfortable.
- anedad2015 (2/5): Rip off - Absolute rip off . May be dog friendly but £9.95 for 4 very small queen scollops and £4.25 for 10 chips is disgraceful. At least dick turpin wore a mask when he robbed you. Would not go again due to cost of food. . Just short of £13 for a fish finger butty .
- ANNEB203 (10/5): A gem of a hotel - A beautiful refurbished hotel inside despite a rather plain facade right by Conway Castle. A number of eating areas and a cosy bar downstairs. Varied menu . Bedrooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Staff were all very professional welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order with quality ingredients. This is how to run a quality hotel ! Well done.
- Simon (10/5): My favourite place to stay - Excellent accommodation, friendly and efficient team led by Ben. The staff are always pleasant and polite and helpful.
The food is outstanding in my opinion, never had a bad meal or experience there just lovely locally sourced food and wonderfully prepared. Aleyshia is a great asset there too
- John (10/5): - Great staff, charming unique rooms.

- Lorraine (10/5): Will return for sure - Really enjoyed our stay, room immaculate with quality furniture and tea/coffee/biscuits. Staff can’t do enough for you. Excellent location. Only negative that hotel can’t rectify is loud seagulls and traffic noise.
- Patricia (10/5): - We were welcomed on arrival
The place was busy .. very attractive.
My room was lovely and had everything I needed
- Samantha (10/5): - We thought the room was well-stocked and comfortable, with some local charm. Bed was comfy, breakfast was outstanding the next morning, and staff were all friendly. It's located by all the things to do and the train station. I would stay here again.
- joecB6682UA (10/5): Excellent Hotel and Great Food! - Amazing hotel! We stayed in the Y Capel in a superior balcony room. It was a spacious, well decorated room, with a very comfortable large bed. We enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony having a wine before going to dinner. There were food snacks available for all guests. The dinner there was beyond outstanding. It was so good the first night we had to eat there again the second night - which we will rarely do because we want to try out different restaurants. The staff was all very friendly, helpful, considerate, and attentive. A great hotel in a wonderful city!
- msu_mom (8/5): Nice stay - We had room 23 which was small but cozy. I think some of the other rooms were larger. The shower was a nice size with good water pressure. The bed could have been more comfortable, the mattress seemed a bit old.
We booked dinner for the first night and it was fine. The restaurant staff was friendly, my meal was cooked wrong initially but it was quickly corrected and they gave me a complementary dessert. The next night we had nothing booked and several places we tried to walk in to were full, so you may want to book somewhere. This was a Saturday night. Breakfast was average, with a very small buffet in addition to the hot offerings.
Their welcome email suggested several parking options, IGNORE IT. Two of the options limit your time during the day and the third option is farther than you need to be. Instead park at Mt. Pleasant car park which is close by and allows long stays. The parking machines weren't working, so the only option was using the parking app or the website. We used the website and one note about that, it asks for the start date on your credit card, if you don't have a start date leave it blank. Once we figured that out, it all worked.
- Donna (10/5): Very nice hotel in a great location - Very nice hotel, room was very clean and modern
- Judith (10/5): - All the staff were super freindly. The room was spotless and the breakfasts were perfect.
We ate here on both nights of our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
- wayne (10/5): - The room was large and comfortable. It had old world charm, but with a modern bathroom. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. There was a little noise in the evening on the street from people leaving the bar, but that went away. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcase up the stairs. I would recommend this hotel.
- Bernard (10/5): - Great place to stay. Comfortable, well-appointed room with great food - breakfast and dinner. Close to the castle and everything inside the walled city. Would definitely stay again.
