• Sean (8/5): Good base, affordable prices. - Great location, very close to both train stations in the city centre. Convenient to get a bite to eat. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any of our minor queries. It was noisy being above the pubs with live music. However, this is clearly stated when booking and we only needed a base for one night after having to fly into Liverpool John Lennon Airport on an alternative flight from Tenerife. It was just louder than expected.

• Julie (8/5): Really nice room, very central - The room and building were really clean and well kept. Great facilities and the staff were really pleasant and helpful. The fact there was no elevator and I was moving my daughter home from uni. We had 3 bags each and it was really difficult to get them up and down the stairs. However we were told before we went that there were no lifts, we just didn't expect to have as much luggage.

This is a hotel for going on a night out as it is noisy from the bars. - I didn’t realise I booked somewhere between 2 Irish pubs with loud music 🤣 so it was my fault I can’t really complain , especially for the price. I had a child with me but if it was for a night out it would have been perfect for that. But wasn’t grotty at all everywhere was really Clean and new. Room was really nice with the AC system & mood lights. All the staff were sound WiFi didn’t work at all , kept disconnecting every 2 mins and the dl speed was like 3mbps , was quite noisy tbf but that was my own fault for not looking at the location so I’d only book this again for a night out.

• Rui (5/5): Central but noisy. - Staff were friendly. Location in relation to the train station and 24h check in. The hotel is right above a pub and when we were given a room in the first floor I knew we were in for a treat 😅 Noise isolation is pretty poor we woke up during the night many times with people shouting in the street. Early morning as well with construction work. For a one night stay is decent but I’d avoid anything more.

Staff was always available (even early or late) With the pubs downstairs on the main level you need to be OK with that background drone and an occasional poor karaoke voice.

There was no noise and it was comfortable. Bathroom was good and tea & coffee making facilities too. Complimentary water in the room was a nice bonus too. It didn't affect us but the stairs may a bit much for some people.

Daarnaast zag de kamer er netjes uit en was het bed comfortabel. Er waren meerdere punten die tegenvielen, waardoor het verblijf helaas minder prettig was dan verwacht. Bij het inchecken lag de medewerker achter de balie onderuit in zijn stoel te slapen, waardoor het leek alsof iedereen zomaar naar binnen kon lopen. Daarnaast hing er een sterke, onaangename geur in de keuken waar we onze tassen konden achterlaten, wat geen goede indruk gaf van de algehele hygiëne. Ook werkte het slot van onze deur niet goed, waardoor we na een lange dag moesten wachten op een vervangende sleutel omdat het pasje niet meer functioneerde. Het meest vervelende moment was echter dat er midden in de nacht op onze deur werd geklopt door iemand die naar binnen wilde om een probleem met de kamer op te lossen. Dit gaf een onveilig gevoel, zeker omdat het leek alsof het pand voor iedereen toegankelijk was. Als één van deze situaties zich had voorgedaan, was dat nog te begrijpen geweest er kan immers altijd iets misgaan. De combinatie van deze gebeurtenissen zorgde echter voor een minder fijne ervaring.

• Millie (10/5): Perfect all round - Everything was absolutely spot on, the man at the desk when we first arrived was lovely and so was the woman on an evening. They was so welcoming. The rooms were clean, comfy, and everything was perfect inside. The location was also perfect, close to the train station and everything else we had planned whilst staying here. We got pre warned about the live music from the pub below but honestly you barely heard anything and kind of just got used to it and we had a 5 year old with us and didn’t disturb her once. There’s nothing I can say about disliking the property.
