Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): really enjoyed the lodge the food the staff and everything in azraq area to visit - this is a lovely eco lodge. the rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. the food is really good. a good breakfast both in choose and taste. excellent dinners available. the staff is very helpful and friendly. arranged an excellent guide and off road vehicle to Burqu which was a high point of the trip. very nice stay. good also for visiting the desert ‘castles’ which shouldn’t be missed.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Javier (10/5): Very pleasant stay in a nice hotel - Very nice, clean, tidy. Room spacious and food nice. People very pleasant! Nothing, all really nice!

- Eddie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for me
- Jonathan (8/5): Good for wetland reserve. Might hear the air force practicing flying. - Free entry to wetland reserve. Ask at desk for ticket.
- Sharlen (9/5): Superb - The lodge and the team are really nice, you get some freshly cooked bread, in a wood oven, in the morning and you are close to the Wetlands! :) I recommand!
- Yasser (7/5): Good -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Nicky (7/5): Good - Staying in a building with a history The coffee. At this price for a stay there should be 'real' coffee available not Nescafe sachets 🤪
- Ibrahim (8/5): Very good -
- Carlo (7/5): it was a pleasant one-night stay - The location is very nice and quiet (but for the airforce fighters thundering by). the rooms are clean; the staff was very kind breakfast and dinner could really do with some improvement…
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - The quietest place I have ever stayed. Perfect peace, helpful staff, great location for exploring this very interesting area. Rooms are huge, balcony looks across the plains to distant water. Magical place. Loved the atmosphere and energy and also their genuine care for conservation of nature. Leaving
- Christian (7/5): Good - The room is quite big and modern. WiFi works well. The biggest disappointment was the dinner. Way too expensive (14 JOD) for the medium quality. The main dishes were cold from the beginning.
- Deirdre (9/5): Perfect for exploring the area. - Okay.
- Bethan (9/5): Excellent base for exploring the Eastern Desert - Huge comfy beds and spacious room. Delicious dinners and a convenient location for Azraq Wetlands, Shaumari reserve and a base to explore the desert castles. Free local teas and kettle in room a nice touch! A little pricey for a long stay but great for a couple of nights and by far the best choice of the limited accomodation options locally.
- Sylvie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (5/5): Not as interesting as hoped for and seriously under populated by guests and staff. - Breakfast very basic but adequate. No real coffee available. No staff emerged at breakast or dinner times, which was left on the side. No atmosphere.
Quite noisy with trucks from nearby road and with the earth-shattering sound of an F16 taking off at 04:30.
No shop or crafts for sale contra the Lonely Planet guide.
Although dead - nicely designed and decorated.
- Christins (8/5): Very good - Comfort and cleanliness of rooms and public areas No wifi in rooms
- Maria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kendra (9/5): eco friendly natural simple and clean - simple comfortable and clean, a very friendly place to stay in the eastern desert. eco friendly nothing
- Pam (9/5): Good value for money comfortable and very pleasant stay - Breakfast was traditional plentiful and good Nothing
- 772kdub (9/5): Superb - Big room, very clean, great food, nice staff, the cat Tiger. On the expensive side. No cola for dinner.
- 772kdub (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, nice staff, good breakfast and dinner. Cute cats.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Gareth (8/5): Handy for the Basalt desert - They allowed a late check in as we didn’t arrive until 02:45 due to a delayed flight. Room was great, bed comfy and shower ok. Location is handy for nature reserves and local castles. Room wasn’t cleaned at all during our three night stay. This is fine for us but others might not be impressed. I am sure if we had asked, it would have been done, so not really a gripe. The only issue is the toilet paper bin in the bathroom, really that should be done daily, regardless. I guess most guests do not stay as long as we did so, to be fair, the rooms are probably done after check out.
- Maarten (10/5): Great lodge, interesting location! - A comfortable, newly redeveloped place in a very interesting building. They did the reconstruction of this lodge with great respect for its history (it is a former British military hospital). Great and spacious rooms, nice bed, good shower. Staff is very super friendly and attentive. Buffet dinner and breakfast are very nice too. They can arrange guides to the eastern desert.
- Teejan (9/5): quiet place super nice staff the location 4 min from azraq wetland reserve and 30 min from shomari r - simple breakfast yet satisfying more drinks
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fairly enough for short stay - No TV, no hair dryer, low water pressure in shower, slow wi-fi connection. But no problem with them as few people visit this place with expectation for such things like Amman hotels. Receptionists are very friendly and the rooms are clean. Fairly good for stay. Thank you
