Guest Reviews
- Brigitte (9/5): Toplocatie! - De locatie, vlakbij de metro, was top! Je was met 20 minuten in City Center. Appartement had alles wat je nodig hebt, incl. föhn. Er hingen zoveel sleutelkluisjes dat de instructie niet duidelijk was welke het was!
- Lena (9/5): Spacious, very comfortable (for 2 persons) and well-located. a - Nice flat in lively multi-colored neighborhood. Great that basic groceries were included. It felt a little uncomfortable to keep windows open at night although i like to sleep with the window open. For 2 persons a little expensive

- Sally (10/5): Would definitely return to this beautiful flat. - Secure, clean and really cosy. Excellent kitchen facilities and even a hair dryer Nothing all amazing
Man kunne høre/mærke metroen i soveværelset
- Baki (8/5): - It’s very nice flat which close to shops / restaurants/ pubs . It has got everything what u need . The bed is very comfortable as had a good sleep . Communication with owner was very easy as check in went smoothly . I highly recommend
- Laurence (8/5): Très agréable et quartier très sympa - Quartier super!!! Nous avons découvert de supers restos !! Le bruit du métro toute les 10mn
- McCarthy (9/5): - Very clean ,comfortable flat. Well equipped. All good
- Cristina (10/5): -
- Bevan (10/5): - Very secure, great location and well equipped
- Kristin (9/5): cute apartment with everything you need in a quite area but at the heart of brixton - Perfect Location, quite area but at the heart of brixton, cute apartment with everything you need, big bathroom and kitchen, very friendly and nice hosts
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Paul (10/5): A lovely cosy pokey flat in the heart of Brixton. Perfect for overnight stays after a gig/festival - Amazing location, 1min walk from Brixton station. Perfect for an overnight stay after a gig/festival. Clean, lovely decor, comfortable bed and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication was great from the host, with lots of suggestions of things to do in the area. It's secure with multiple locked gates. Keys were in a lockbox for super easy arrival and entry. Would 100% recommend to others. Really minor for me.
If your a light sleeper i would bring earplugs. Just because the ceilings/floors are quite thin, so you might hear people walking around/talking in the morning.
The entrance stairway is a bit weathered and old, but doesn't reflect the flat at all, as the flat itself feels nice, modern and well decorated.
- Natasha (10/5): Excellent apartment with everything you need and great location - Location was amazing. So close to shops and tube station N/A
- Douglas (7/5): Attentive owners - The owners were attentive, informative, welcoming, and helpful before and during our stay. The place was small but cosy and neat, and it had everything we need. The area was a little rough but everything was close by including supermarkets and public transport stations.
- Rory (9/5): Lovely little apartment. A good base for a sightseeing trip to London. - Close to tube station. Well stocked. Good communication with hosts. Comfortable bed. Very clean Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable. Quite noisy at night outside
- Pedro (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (8/5): Very good - Coffee machine with pods provided was a nice touch. I would've liked some guidance on what can be recycled in terms of glass, cans, cardboard etc.
I asked to check in 2 hours earlier than the normal time and got an email verifying this was ok. Unfortunately on the day we arrived this hadn't been actioned and I had to phone up to get the entry code with a short wait until cleaning staff confirmed the flat was ready. This wasn't too inconvenient but should not have happened.
- Felix (8/5): Very good - The place was good and clean
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Christina (9/5): Lovely property, well presented, clean and comfortable. Ideal location for O2 arena. - Sweet little property, clean, beautifully presented and well equipped. Perfect for our needs.
Just off Brixton high street, a few minutes walk from the tube and the O2 arena - just what we needed.
Communal area flooring very old and a bit dodgy (soft and with some holes), stairs not recommended for those with accessibility needs as steep and narrow.
Owner communiction was very good. Would recommend and would definitely return. Double bed was up against the wall so a bit cramped for a couple as we are used to a kingsize but fine for a night or two.
- Zuzana (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was in a great location. There is an option to pay for parking that we used and it was great! Apartment has everything you need for stay and the owner was very quick in responding and provided so much information about the tips around the area and things to do in London. We had a great time with the family! Thank you
- Harsyini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (1/5): Terrible experience with this host and maggots and rat in and around apartment - Location - good location to Brixton and tube in to London, although next to a drug rehab centre which made us a little uneasy. Host asked for kids ID and had to call booking.com to refuse to give this which they agreed it wasn't part of their policy. This host was playing by his own rules. Difficult check in process that was highly stressful and spent way too long trying to resolve given we were already travelling. When we finally got in, we say a rat in the kitchen and whilst exiting saw maggots around the front door. Poor cleanliness with a poor host, who once he receives his payment makes it difficult for his guests to jump through hoops to get the code for check in. Avoid.
- Julia (8/5): Loved Brixton, and had a great stay, just the hot water to sort, please! - Lovely location, quiet, though only just off the main street. Just 5 minutes from the underground, and we enjoyed the vibrant culture of Brixton. Friendly people, great market, and good range of places to eat and drink. the hot water was very hot, and the shower was alternately hot then cold, . I couldn't find a way of mixing it to a consistent temperature.
- Larisa (8/5): Amazing location, very comfortable and not sterile/cold environment. Solid, usable kitchen. - more electrical outlets/charging stations, especially in the bedroom.
- Catherine (7/5): Good - Close to tube and all.amenities of Brixton
Well equipped kitchen and spacious clean bathroom I dont like receiving the key box code only 15 minutes before check in. Very complex check in requiring passport details of all occupants with digital uploads. Single pull out bed not very comfortable though was.made up for our arrival. Double bed can only be accessed from one side.
Stairwell is a bit dark and uninviting.
Not the best standard for the price. Unlikely to return here though I visit this area often
- Susanna (10/5): An excellent base to explore London - and loved the atmosphere of the local community - Lovely, quiet location and a very clean apartment with excellent facilities and an AC unit. Very important factors for us with asthma. Very close to shops, restaurants, and Brixton tube station & bus stops. The water kept changing from hot to cold and back when taking a shower, but this was not really a problem.
- Tim (9/5): A really lovely and lively base to explore London from - Kitchen is wonderful. Very comfortable throughout Noise from the stairwell really penetrate into the apartment. The stairs crack and are very loud!
- Marta (9/5): Superb -
- Yogev (1/5): Awful check in - Sheets were clean First, Water temperature in the shower fluctuating from too warm to too cold. The bigger problem was that, My check-in experience was awful. Instructions regarding the high deposit were not clear. I had to miss my evening plans because of this. The host was not available by phone for clarifications for a few hours. He was very rude when we finally talked.
- Sophie (10/5): What a find! - This was an absolute gem. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm in a secure building. The flat is just five minutes walk from the underground and Brixton village and close to loads of shops and restaurants. There was a cold beer in the fridge on arrival, plenty of tea/coffee etc and lots of fresh towels and bedding. Communication before hand was friendly and really responsive. We'll definitely be back. There were no negatives here
- Woei (8/5): Very good - It was a very clean house and price was lower compared to the accommodations in city centre. Also, although it required a £300 of deposit but the deposit was returned in a timely manner. The location was far away from city centre, but I was aware of it while I booked this accommodation, so I have no issue with that.
- Shereen (9/5): Great stay and property - Great staying perfect location seamless check in it was clean and was a pleasant staff great communication with the owner was there to help at any time Nothing about the property but booking.com needs to advertise once this is booked and paid for the owner will ask for a deposit which is in the conditions of your stay I would advise phoning property and asking what the deposit is before booking so you have the funds to pay they only hold it and as long as you leave the property as you found it you WILL get your money on inspection of apartment and we checked out at 11am and refunded by 4pm once the care taker has been and confirmed
- Rima (10/5): Best stay in London ! Will be back again with the family - It had a home feeling to it .
The cleanliness was phenomenal !
Location was very close to the underground station, it was very easy to get in , the flat is beautiful ! Large living area , big bathroom , full kitchen with a new washer and everything anyone will ever need to cook ! I found an espresso machine with capsules for the day , there were paintings all over the place even in the bathroom , it had a Mediterranean taste to it !
Heating system was so convenient, the flat became warm so fast , What's not to like ?!
Everything was just perfect .
It felt good at the end of the day coming back to the flat .
- Jane (10/5): Perfect appartment fo couple or smaller family for a longer holiday. - Queit location, quiet neighgbours. Well equipped kitchen. Best hospitality. Nothing to complain, everything meet our expectations.
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional - The place to be in London. The appartement is beautiful and well decorated and extremely well equipped. You can tell, that someone has put thorough consideration into what visitors might need or want. Also the location is superb, lots of of shoos, local market and restaurants, pubs and nightlife options are close by. Brixton is an interesting multicultural mix with lots of interesting street art. The commute to Central London is easy and quick with the tube. Next time in London I need to come back to explore more. Nothing to complain.
- Laureng (8/5): Location and comfort - Excellent location. So handy for tube and eating out in Brixton. Comfortable flat with nice decor. Sofa bed and fold out bed perfect for my teens. Kitchen handy for breakfasts and kettle. Prompt communication. Not happy with deposit system. They say it is policy but I honestly can't see it anywhere on the property's Booking.com advert or info. A week before arrival they asked for my identification and bank details to make a 30p payment to secure a deposit and assured me it would not withdraw the £400 from my bank. The money was taken from my bank as the balance dropped by £400. It was returned after our stay but not on the day of departure. Altogether I felt very uncomfortable with this as it is not something I have experienced previously with Airbnb or Booking.com. Surely their insurance covers damages. Must add, we took very good care of the apartment and it was left immaculate and acknowledged as all good.
Apart from deposit, no issues and we did love the flat. Just a warning to prepare people.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (10/5): Would definitely use again for future London visits - It felt very homely and had all the necessary utensils and bedding required for us.
Communication was swift, friendly with a sense of care. Possibly the bathroom could do with a bit more attention, maybe more a softer, warmer colour scheme.
- Vladimir (6/5): Pleasant - Gute lage nicht weitweg von U Bahn Stadion Brixston The first entrance door to the house has a difficult lock to open. There is no adapter for European sockets in the apartment. It doesn't cost much, you could take care of it. In addition, there are few outlets in the apartment.
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (8/5): Very good -
- Charlie (9/5): Superb -
- Veronique (5/5): Spend your money somewhere else - As soon as I got out of the cab, I knew I had made a mistake on that one. Although the property is located a few minutes walk from a Tube station (Brixton) and the apartment in itself isn’t too bad, although very small, I wouldn’t recommend staying there. The street where it is located is very sketchy. Across the street, you’ll find many homeless people and alcohol/drug users. We’ve seen many people urinating on the street (day and night) and the urine smell is constant. There’s trash, among other things, everywhere. The bedroom bed is very uncomfortable and if you plan on sleeping on the pullout couch, which isn’t bad, be ready to wear ear plugs because you can hear everything from the street down below. People yelling, cars, planes, name it! When we arrived at 1AM, I had to scrub the toilet from the previous guests “poop” stains. Also, be ready to stress about having extra fees charge to your card: stained linen or towel, not taking the trash out, leaving the oven dirty, excessive noise… Check-in is convenient with a key box located outside the building. They also make sure that their guests feel “safe” by having CCTV cameras outside the building and right in front of the apartment door. Also, make sure to read the fine print… We missed the £400 security deposit part. We will definitely be back in London but not in that apartment.
- Jonathon (5/5): Passable -
- Brendon (6/5): We love Brixton and this apartment is conveniently located in Brixton. - We loved the location although some may not. Brixton is awesome. Definitely central with easy walking access to the best of Brixton and easy tube access to the rest of London, including airports. Good quality washing machine which was great for us, although no dryer so plan ahead. Can be hard to hang dry clothes in a London apartment in a hurry.
Loved that we could get a baby bed with linen (although at a relatively steep cost). The staff were great to deal with but you’ll just need to make sure you have data or Wi-Fi within an hour of your check in to receive checkin codes. They weren’t sent in advance. It just felt like so many things had been broken with really “cheap fixes” over time. Eg. not all blinds work properly. The shower head doesn’t attach to the wall properly. Doors don’t latch properly. The hairdryer switch is flaky. The layout of the furniture makes the space less usable. The flooring felt cheap and noisy/dirty. There’s more things like this, nothing that I would consider a “major issue” but it detracted from the living experience for us.
I know that beds and pillows are subjective, but we really didn’t find the bed or pillows comfortable at all. The mattress felt like a foam block and the pillows were not to our preference either. But like I say, some may love this.
- Jean (8/5): Amazing location - don’t stay in bog standard boring touristy places! - We loved the location - Brixton is super well connected on the Victoria line (a very fast one) and the apartment is literally a minute away. It’s also a very vibrant residential neighbourhood, not touristy at all. There’s so much that’s easily accessible - black cultural archives, shops, tube and bus stops, AMAZING food Double bed was really uncomfortable and far too soft - I ended up sleeping on the sofa the last night.
- Colorado (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Great location a few metres from the Underground The common areas were a bit tired
- Lenna (10/5): Super comfortable apartment in a fantastic neighborhood very close to the tube. - The location was perfect. So close to the tube. Brixton is fantastic with great restaurants, bars, music, and shops. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Margus (9/5): Excellent - Brixton is a great location in London! The walls are not very soundproof, also right under the flight corridor.
- Cliona (8/5): good value - clean, comfortable and good value for the location slightly noisy at times, but to be expected for the location.
- Tolulope (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (8/5): Very good - location is very close to the underground station. Appartment has all you need for a stay. In the surroundings you find several supermarkets for food supplies.
referring to previous feedbacks regarding noise: you do hear planes (Gatwick airport) and noise from the street in the living room. Windows in UK are different than in our case in Austria & on street level for a centrally located flat that is to be expected ;-) - still was ok for us, we slept well.
- Kristina (7/5): great value, great communication. - great location, easy to self check in. the bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing. I’ll admit I missed the bit about a deposit, but it was an easy process and returned promptly. We did need to clean a bit upon arrival, but the supplies were readily available.
The entry hallway gives a questionable impression of the building, but the apartment was nicely renovated.
- Karina (7/5): Good -
- Cristian (9/5): Great experience - The apartment is located very close to the Brixton station and lots of bus options are also available. It is not on the main street, but a little behind, area is decently quiet. Shops nearby and also lots of dining options.
We had everything needed in the apartment and the mobile AC unit was extra helpful (and a bonus as it is not mentioned in the apartment facilities).
Good space for 2 adults and 2 kids (for a London apartment).
Adriano, the host, was extremely nice and helped us with lots of information, thank you!
Great experience! The only thing I can mention are the pillows in the bedroom, but that is a matter of taste.
- Neil (7/5): Very convenient - Conveniently located 100m from the High Street. Easy access. Good facilities. Second bed was uncomfortable.
The stairwell entrance was very shabby
- Lee (7/5): Good -
- Sandra (8/5): Nice appartment close to Brixton tube station. - Nice appartment close to tube station Brixton. All facilities in kitchen available. As it was very hot the mobile airconditioning unit was welcomed We were with three our daughter it is a bit small, our daughter had to sleep in living room. Only airconditioning in living room so bedroom was still rather hot.
Check in was with a lot of detailled rules. But worked out fine.
- Femmy (8/5): A good place to stay to discover London - The appartment is cosy and modern, has a well equipped kitchen, a good bed and a big bathroom. With the Victoria line you travel in 15 minutes into the city centre. It has supermarkets round the corner. It's a great appartment which will even be better when the light can be blocked with curtains and not only with blinds. I used my sleeping mask, which worked. The toaster and a socker didn't work properly, the host said he would replace it.
