- JULY (4/5): apartment hotel - i didn't know that this is a apartment and this is more like airbnb/vrbo type of property. when we arrive i wasn't sure i was @ the right place so we had to have the cab driver call to make sure it is the correct place. lena, the administrator, tried her best to communicate but it was truly difficult. nevertheless, we sort of understood what we need to do. the place is spacious & clean. however, it barely has any utensils & accessories for kitchen & bathroom. there was a grocery store that was walking distance so we ended up getting everything that we need for our 6 day stay. i bought air freshner, grounded coffee, sugar, milk/creamer, plastic plates & utensils, papertowels, toilet papers - usual amenities @ home. there was a percolator so i had to do a make-shift coffee maker with paper towel as filter & a bowl so my boyfriend will have coffee in the morning. the tub/shower has slow drain & pressure. i must say that when i stayed @ my airbnb in japan - the owner provided everything & i was truly pleased even though the owner has difficulties communicating too. so, when i got this place - i was disappointed. lastly, this is in building on the 7th floor and the old lady neighbor was complaining to me even though i kept telling her that i can't speak russian (no russia, i said). in the end, i just said - whatever it is - i'm just SORRY and she melted then started complaining again. with that in mind, i do NOT want to recommend this place to any of my friends ...
- July (6/5): Acceptable with the fair price - this is an apartel (apartment/hotel). the place is clean but with not much to begin with. it has a clean bed & bathroom but very slow draining tub. i didn't know that this was like an airbnb. there was water percolator but not much to use to cook with. my boyfriend & i bought pretty much everything (toilet papers, paper towels, paper plates & utensils plus a glade freshner). if you're from the US - you will need the basics to make your stay enjoyable/livable. i can't recall the price i paid for this place but it's just okay. nevertheless, lena (administrator) even though with communication issues was very nice @ check in.and letting us stay a couple hours later for check out since our flight to Sochi was late in the afternoon.
