Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): Family owned, beautiful hotel with stunning views - The location is quite high up a steep hill/mountain. We walked down the slightly easier way which takes 20 mins to the old town & always got a taxi back up for £5.
Views: absolutely stunning over the bay.
Breakfast: we had cereals, fruit & a wonderful fresh omelette each day.
Beds: extremely big & very comfortable.
WiFi: better in the poolside rooms than the rooms with the stunning views on the 3rd floor.
Bathrooms: wet room style showers.
Pools: 2 fantastic, really good sized infinity pools with views out to the bay, the harbour & the sea. Plenty of sunbeds & different areas to relax to get away from people if you want a bit of privacy.
Staff: All wonderful, really friendly & welcoming and Gemma was really helpful in planning our days & trips with us. You can tell it is a very loved, family owned & run establishment.
We loved the fact that they seem to have adopted a number of cats which are all really healthy, well looked after & all vaccinated. They’re really funny & have their own characters. Oh yes, and there are a few tortoises roaming the stunning gardens too.
So many guests return year after year….8, 9, 10 years plus in a row which speaks volumes. WiFi.
Maybe hourly shuttles to & from town or at least to come back up the hill in the evenings would be really appreciated.

- Lucia (10/5): Beautifully located hotel with a simple yet stylish set up. The staff were especially kind and helpful we couldn’t have - The room was a lovely size, with a very comfortable and large bed. The view was fantastic from the room, pools and restaurant.
The pools were lovely and the restaurant had a fantastic choice and delicious food. The staff were so helpful and kind, I was really impressed with their hospitality.
- marisa (10/5): A thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing week. - Fantastic relaxed atmosphere, with two great pools and plenty of space and also peace and quiet. Great bar and restaurant, with amazing views over the town. Overall very calming and we will definitely be back. We liked everything.

- Robeena (10/5): Fabulous hotel and staff were so friendly and helpful - Location, views, cleanliness, attractive property, staff, pools. There was nothing not to like.
- Neil (10/5): If you are considering this property for a couples stay look no further this is the one. - It is just a great place to stay.
Fantastic Views
Fantastic Service
Fantastic Staff All great
- Sadaf (10/5): - Beautiful rooms and hotel! Staff went and above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Would highly recommend it
- Sadaf (10/5): - Beautiful views from the hotel! The rooms were exceptional and spacious. Customer service was great as well. Would definitely go there again and recommend this hotel

- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew J (8/5): Let down a little by the service - I'll start by saying that the hotel is fantastic. It is in an amazing spot with views over Kalkan that are to die for. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spotless due to the fact that they're cleaned everyday. Now to the parts we were not so happy about. The hotel was very quiet due to the fact that it's nearing the end of the season and we think because of that the staff/management were on a slow down. It was mentioned to us by another holiday maker that a lady member of staff/supervisor had left recently and that standards had dropped since then.
Our room was quite large but was sparse. Only one small chair in the corner was the only furniture apart from the bed. Seemed a little strange as if something had been taken out and not replaced ie another chair or even a sofa or table. The hairdryer in the bathroom wasn't working although that didn't effect me it did my partner. She had read beforehand that hairdryers were provided in the rooms and because of that didn't bring her own. This was mentioned to a member of staff on our first day and again 2 days after when we had guessed correctly that he had forgotten our room number not that it mattered because nothing was done.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant twice during our stay and i have to say the food was very good and has I've already mentioned the view. Only problem with the meal was the service, so slow.
The day we left we were promised that staff would help with our bags but no one turned up. Typical.
- Gyang (10/5): Exceptional -
- David Thomas (10/5): - Fantastic views over Kalkan, great holiday staff and brilliant
- Donna (10/5): I have never been to hotel so quiet, I didn’t think I loved the dogs in the hotel and they have the most beautiful cats - The people were so friendly and polite and helpful.
The property was always very clean, I felt safe and the service was exceptional.
The view is incredible!! I would like to see table tennis in the garden or a pool table tucked away.
- Keeley (10/5): Definitely recommend - The rooms are spacious, clean with plenty of storage and huge beds. The staff were amazing! Very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The views are out of this world. The majority of guests have been there before and everyone is happy to stop and chat. Only thought we had was it could do with a table tennis table, tucked out of the way, for those that got a bit restless.
- Bmc (10/5): This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and I have no hesitation in recommending it. - The views from the hotel are fantastic, all the staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are well maintained and clean. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and of a good quality. I would recommend anyone staying at the hotel who needs an airport taxi transfer to book it through the hotel, they will arrange everything for you and the drivers are excellent, drive with consideration to speed and safely.
- Anthony (10/5): Just perfect - Amazing view from the bar Absolutely spotless and very friendly staff
- Debra (10/5): Fantastic stay great hotel and the staff were excellent - Location Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): An exceptional find and would stay there again. We would find it very hard to find somewhere else as good in Kalkan. - The standard of the property was exceptional and the staff looked after us brilliantly during our stay. Our two bed apartment was right next to the pool (Badem), and would want this room again - we had the benefit of the great view both in the pool and whilst chilling on the terrace outside. The breakfast was great value but we would liked to have seen more cooked food like bacon each day. Everything else was perfect and I would not score the hotel down for this - this is a personal preference.
- Caesium22 (10/5): Top Notch Hotel - We booked The Mediteran based off a recommendation, and we were not disappointed.
This is definitely one of our favourite hotels ever.
The views are stunning from the room, the pool, the bar and restaurant. The rooms have everything you need with a comfy bed but the best attribute of this hotel is the staff.
The staff are truly incredible, nothing is too much - recommendations, help booking taxis, or just a good chat!
Fatih, Mami and Mamut were absolutely top guys and it felt like we were leaving friends at the end of our stay.
We're already working out when we can visit next.
Thanks for everything you did for us!
Cam & Jade Leaving!
- Craig (10/5): Simply Stunning! - Amazing views, very well presented rooms, super helpful staff, super helpful staff (so good it’s worth saying twice), delicious food, well stocked bar.
To quote the staff when asking them questions ‘’Anything is possible’’ N/A
- Lucy (9/5): This was the perfect hotel for a peaceful week in the sun, with the best views over Kalkan! - We loved the view from our room, overlooking the infinity pool and the bay. The restaurant was brilliant for lunch and dinner - we ate there a few times, best view in Kalkan. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay, so we had lots of space by the pool and our pick of where to sit on the terrace for dinner. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay! The breakfast was limited with its choices, but still enough for a basic breakfast each day.
- Mark (10/5): - We had been given KALKAN as a recommendation to visit and we came across the hotel and booked our stay. To say we had a wonderful time would be a vast understatement. Nothing is too much trouble for the whole staff at the hotel and BIG call out to Fahti, who really took care of us during our stay. The views of KALKAN from the hotel are beautiful. From both the pools, the bar and from every room. What we was taken back with, was the number of returning guests to the hotel. Every person we spoke to had been returning back to the hotel for many many years (10 years+). This speaks to the hotel in volumes and we for sure will be returning back to Mediteran. Loved it. Thanks to the whole team
- Gurmeet (10/5): - One of the best Hotels in kalkan, staff were very accommodating! Absolutely stunning views! Big shout out to the a couple of the cleaning staff they were very friendly and amazing at their job.
Breakfast was good, but could have done with a little more variety but delicious nonetheless.
Note that Kalkan is very hilly and super steep had to get a taxi everywhere for my mum who has bad knees!
- Lauren (10/5): Lovely Hotel with Amazing Views of Kalkan - The team running the hotel were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. The pools are lovely and the views are stand out. We ate here in the evening, and the food was very tasty too! Wi-Fi connectivity was a bit hit and miss
- Caroline (10/5): Perfect place - Everything was great, a real family feel to the place, accommodation was perfect, beds comfortable and lovely views. Great food and drinks, choice of pools. There was nothing we did not like
- Nicholas (10/5): Highly recommend. - Amazing staff, rooms, views! WiFi was poor. The pools were very warm but I don’t think anyone can do anything about that in July.
- Kate (10/5): If you want a little slice of heaven, stay here! - Stunningly beautiful with the best view of Kalkan!
Everything is well kept and maintained. The hotel is simply stunning. Nothing. It’s a beautiful hotel with great amenities and a lovely atmosphere.
- Gozde (10/5): - Stuff was really nice, breakfast and dishes were tasty, clean.
It is not a walking distance to see and the center but it takes 5 min. by car.
- David (10/5): A perfect, relaxing holiday, complimented by amazing hotel staff and fantastic accommodation and food. - Everything was amazing, from the views, rooms, food, people. The fact that I had to leave it
- Gareth (10/5): Lovely relaxing location - Lovely place, really kept clean, nice buffet breakfast and amazing views over the bay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Be aware the walk into town is steep in places!
- Kevin (10/5): A lovely place to stay - This hotel is lovely. The views are amazing, the staff are great and it's spotlessly clean.
- Margaret (10/5): We had just sold our apartment in Kalkan and knew of the Mediteran Hotel as it was situated just above our property. Ca - Beautiful hotel, stunning views and outstanding staff. The only issue was that you didn’t have a phone to contact reception.
- Jayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): Amazing beautiful hotel with the best views & team - Amazing boutique hotel in Kalkan with the best views of the Mediterranean. I could never get tired of the view. The staff are honestly the best I have come across in the whole world and made our trip amazing. We will definitely be going back.
- Celalettin (10/5): - Güzel konforlu ve şık bir mekan..
- Janice (10/5): Will would without doubt rebook again - Fantastic views, clean pools, cleaning standards high Airport
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzannah (10/5): We had an amazing holiday, place, food, people were all great. Will definitely return. Staff were fab too - The views were amazing! N/A
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Phoebe (8/5): We had a wonderful week at the Mediteran Hotel. - The room was very comfortable and hotel staff were great the location is desirable and both pools are lovely. Terrace is a great location for a drink or dinner The breakfast could have had more variety and when we stayed at the property 6 years ago or so this was the case.
- Richard (9/5): Very well done to all at The Mediteran - Breakfast was great.
Reception staff friendly. No Information pack in the room.
- Michelle (10/5): We will be returning - Beautiful property with amazing views, friendly staff. Food and drinks were also very good. N/A
- Paul (9/5): I'll be going again! - The accommodation is very nice. We had a bedroom suite (room 205). There is a separate lounge/kitchenette, shower room and a bedroom. Both the bedroom and the lounge had a small balcony facing the sea. The restaurant food for lunch and dinner is very good. The staff, from the owner to the cleaners are all very friendly and attentive. There are two pools and plenty of sunbeds. They have a bar overlooking the bay and the town, this is great for pre & post-dinner drinks. The hotel is situated on a steep hill (everywhere in on a hill in Kalkan!) but is no more than 5minutes in a cab away from the marina or the town centre. Walking up and down the hill between the hotel and the town is very doable but is hard. Cabs are easy to get and currently cost 130 TL which is just under £4.00 (£1 per person!), so not too taxing on your spending money! The only thing I think could do with a bit of improvement, is the breakfast offering. If you want a Mediterranean type breakfast with cheese, tomatoes, fruit, olives etc. then this is for you. There is a very large percentage of British guests, many as us, returning year after year, so I think putting on a spread of pastries would be a great improvement. The fruit plates could do with some berries. Jam and marmalade, would be good as well as larger slices of bread/toast.
- Phil (10/5): Super relaxing stay in beautiful Kalkan - Beautiful location overlooking the town of Kalkan. Rooms were clean and well apportioned, staff very helpful and cheerful - could not do enough to make our stay top-top. Nothing - all good!
- Kayleigh (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): Amazing top quality hotel with stunning views - This hotel is amazing, you will find it very difficult to find a better hotel in Kalkan. The views are fantastic, rooms are spacious and overlook the beautiful sea and harbour. It is set in the mountain hills so a steep 15 min walk into the town but the hotel call you taxis which come very quick. The restaurant and bar area has the best view in the world, especially at sunset. It is magnificent and the food is top quality and the prices are much better than the restaurants in the town. The staff can’t do enough for you and are the best. No TV in room but you don’t need one as this is the place to relax around the two large pools. I will definitely be going back as it is one of the best hotels I have stayed at and I have travelled the world.
- Charral (10/5): Exceptional - This is the first hotel and city we're already planning to return to, and that says a lot.
The hotel itself has breathtaking views (night and day), wonderful rooms and pool area, amazing food (kudos to the chef), and the friendliest of staff.
Nothing was too much to ask for. They arranged some of our day trips. Gave us advice on where to go check out in our car. Gave us alternatives when we chose places that would have let us down. Talked to us about their culture when we asked and really were so professional and welcoming.
Both my husband and I are so impressed and grateful for this wonderful 8 night stay at The Mediteran.
Kudos to the team that looked after us during our stay. Mehmet, Feti, Debbie, Cemri and the rest of the team. I didn't get everyone's name. Well done team! 👏 We are well travelled and honestly there was nothing to dislike or complain about.
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect in every way - Excellent property, beautiful location. Food, service and staff exceptional. Superb room with excellent views
- David (10/5): Fantastic- had lovely, relaxing time. - Very friendly and helpful staff
Amazing views and setting
Pools and landscaping
Lovely big room with great view
Restaurant - food was excellent
Quiet and no smokers (although guess this was just chance) If being very picky, could have had hooks in rooms, pool drinks service, local/hotel information in room. The drains made strange noises in the bathroom. None of this impacted on our lovely stay though.
- Simon (10/5): - Lovely hotel , amazing views, attentive and friendly staff , great food. .Clean and well maintained rooms . We would definitely choose this hotel again. Steep hills but plenty of taxis available for the very short trip down to central restaurants and small beach .
- David (10/5): - Excellent place to stay will be returning, for us it ideal
- Georgina (9/5): Superb -
- Lynsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aveen (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing stay we have ever had..
the view was breathtaking
the hotel was so beautiful, room, balcony, staff, view, pool, thecity,
We spend wonderful days and defintly want to come back again!! only one thing was the breakfast unfortunately
didn't have many options just basic things to eat
If the breakfast get better the place will be completed 🥰
- Derya (10/5): Severek kaldık - Çok sakin ve güzel bir hotel. Ailecek çok güzel vakit geçirdik. Seneye tekrar geleceğiz inşallah
- Kutbuddin (7/5): Satisfactory, the views from the hotel is their saviour. - Then views were amazing, the staff are very helpful, and the rooms are a good size. Hotel is situated above the "highway" on the hillside. The location makes it impossible to walk up to the hotel from town, even though it is close. And with the taxis being a rip off, it made for a fairly expensive return trip.
The breakfast is awful, no variety and really not much to eat really.
- Ed (9/5): Excellent boutique style hotel run by a really good team. - A wonderful hotel with excellent staff. Good quality fit out and breathtaking views from the balconies, bar and restaurant. Food was excellent. You won't be disappointed.
- Murray (8/5): This is a fab place that has grown in size and provides a unique place to stay. The team are lovely. - The hotel is awesome and the new additions lovely. Its views and pools are outstanding. It is quiet and very much a place to relax and unwind. The staff are friendly and helpful and the addition of a host during the day a welcome addition. Great library and love the pet cats.
The lunch and dinner food is excellent and the cocktails awesome. A wonderful place to have a pre or after dinner drink. The cleaning team are awesome and nothing too much trouble. A nice location with friendly people, who are mainly British. The breakfast was average at best. In the past it was the highlight of the holiday with fruit plates, homemade honey and yogurt and personal service. As someone who cannot eat eggs, it is limited. A wider range of fruit, berries, bread, pasteiries and fruit juices is necessary.
The pull out bed needs a mattress topper as it is too hard to sleep on for any lenght of time. The room . 102 needs a fridge wtih a freezer compartment in it. The lighting in the toilet and shower needs addressing as it is impossible to see in it at all.
There is little to no pool side service, and no way of calling for staff, other than going downstairs where the staff locate themselves. When food is requested and taken to pool side, the empty plates are often left sitting in the sun. First world problems, I know.
The hotel would benefit in atmostphere from some live music on some evenings.
Wifi is poor and intermittent. The hotel did check this but it would not be good enough for people who have to work.
- Bmc (10/5): A lovely small Hotel, providing great personal service. - Lovely location, all the staff are very helpful and friendly, room was very clean, with fantastic sea views. 2 lovely swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds, Location is a short taxi ride from the town, but don't let this put you off, as the reception will order it for you, it only costs £2 and the taxi arrives within 5 minutes. I would have no hesitiation in recomending this hotel. Nothing
- William (9/5): Superb - Almost everything Breakfast could have been better, but everything else was superb. We will go back next year.
- Louise (10/5): great hotel, will definitely be going back. it is up in the hills, so not close to the amenities, but you get great view - beautiful hotel with the most amazing views. the breakfast wasn’t very exciting.
- Vivian (7/5): Good -
- Frances (1/5): we left after 3 days - view no staff no organisation, no atmosphere, was like it was closing down
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dinara (9/5): Superb - I truly enjoyed my stay in this charming hotel! The hotel is close to all needed infrastructure, as well as to its own beach. But what really makes this place unique is it's magnificent views, literally from each & every view point!
I'd like to send my special thanks to Irmak and Serdar, who took care of us when we needed it the most :)
- Niomi (9/5): Superb - The view was incredible. Lots of space to relax. We actually came here as a relaxing holiday after the madness of getting married and it was perfect. Very relaxing. Friendly staff and guests. Coffee could be improved (tasted like instant). Breakfast wasn’t amazing, specifically the yoghurt was more like cottage cheese, stale cereal, and not proper bread. But don’t let this out you off. The breakfast view is spectacular!
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (8/5): Good - The location and the bar ! They have some plumbing issues that ruined sleep and zero wifi in the new rooms !
- Andrea (6/5): - The hotel had fantastic views. Pool area was lovely as was dinner and drinks on the terrace. Quick responses from staff to emails sent before I arrived. Staff were friendly and helpful at the hotel. Breakfast was basic and lacked variety and if there were any alternatives available this wasn't offered. Lunch and dinner was good and the price was comparable to other restaurants in the town. I understand that bedding and towels can't be changed every day but for a hotel of this standard I had expected the beds to be remade and bathroom cleaned daily. No TV in the room but one was in the hotel seating area. There is a really steep hill to get to the hotel which is challenging even for someone who is fairly fit but taxis are readily available and no problem for hotel staff to call them.
- Akil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bisma (10/5): loved it - how friendly the staff is and the view!! poor wi-fi
- Jane (8/5): Beautiful views and very restful. - the room, the pools, the view and the peace no proper reception area hard to find assistance although bar staff often helped.
- Claire (9/5): Lovely hotel. - Great location, beautiful rooms friendly helpful staff. Amazing views. Restaurant food excellent. Will definitely be back. Wifi was very bad practically non existent around pool and in rooms.
Breakfast sufficient but basic.
Hotel is quite high up on the side of steep mountain walking in to town doesn't take long but walking is a challenge. Taxis back and fore are a must.

- Courtney (10/5): Amazing Views & Service - Amazing staff & Views, room was great and spacious and clean.
The views from the bar and reasturant are stunning.
Pool area is very quiet and staff are always on hand to help if needed. Breakfast was a little basic, my partner struggles with a milk intolerence so the food & drink was very limited for her.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (10/5): - Fab hotel, relaxed , friendly, professional. Rooms have everything you need, views stunning. Wouldn't hesitate to use in future. Top class.
- Olivia (8/5): Lovely hotel with a great view - Lovely air conditioned room with everything we needed. The view from the hotel and from our room was great - especially at night with all the lights in Kalkan! The staff were really helpful and friendly. Would recommend getting a taxi back if you go into Kalkan because the walk back is extremely steep and is a struggle in the heat.
- Mitchell (10/5): Lovely people lovely food lovely place lovely views - Absolutely everything WiFi and 4G were very slow and sometimes non existent
