- Adriana (9/5): Superb - If you are up north this is a great place to stay. The rooms are and comfortable, the owner is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good too. If you are not going up further in the north, stay closer to Akuyeri or Lake Myvatn. It is a little out of the way if you are short on time.

- Carina (10/5): An awesome stay - Our stay was extremely pleasant. Grenivik Guesthouse has been a beautiful surprise in the North of Iceland after days of camping. We would've definitely loved to stay longer to enjoy the peace, the comfort and the landscape. The house was very clean, our room was very comfortable and big enough for two, and all the common spaces were really well organized so we had our privacy but also some lovely interaction with other guests, and the hot tub has been a very pleasant extra to enjoy at sunset.
But the best part of our stay was definitely Ingólfur, the host. His welcoming was very warm and kind, he was very open and helpful as a host, he gave us a lot of tips as soon as we arrived, and prepared us a really delicious breakfast with a lot of local ingredients. Ingólfur was also very kind to stay with us during our breakfast -and even longer- to talk with us about Icleand history, traditions, culture, geography and all the curiosities we had. He has a special place in our hearts.
- Jenni (9/5): A pleasant stay in a quiet town. - Lovely view from the dining room windows. The kitchen was very well-appointed, and we could have cooked a proper meal if we had wished. The host was very chatty and gave us lots of information about the area, and Iceland in general. Great breakfast with some local food on offer. We appreciated being able to organise an early breakfast which meant we could get to our whale watching trip in Husavik on time.
There was a supermarket and bar/cafe within a two minute walk so self-catering was easy. Nothing.
- Christopher (10/5): The best - The owner was great and welcoming, even had breakfast with us. When we left we felt like we were leaving a friend behind. Great views and village, thank you so much. Nothing
- Navit (10/5): Exceptional - Our best stay in Iceland. The place is gorgeous, both location, directly on the fjord, and the guesthouse itself.
The shared kitchen/ dining room is comfortable and welcoming, with large windows overlooking the sea. The rooms are clean and nice, with good breakfast.
Above all Inoglfur's great hospitality, and the knowledge and conversations, which gives you insight about Iceland.
- Audur (10/5): Wonderful and relaxing in a beautiful surroundings! - The facility was very nice, the view was beautiful and watching the sunset while relaxing in the hot tub was just fantastic!! The host Ingolfur goes the extra mile to please everyone!!! We recommend Grenivik Guesthouse 💯
Can’t wait to return one day 😊
- Yakhira (10/5): Perfect place, great owners, fantastic sunsets. - Wonderful views, location is fantastic, a lot of available activities nearby, but atmosphere is very quiet. Sunsets there are amazing.
Owners of guesthouse are incredible friendly, always helping. We would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Iceland. Thank you so much.
- Lisa (10/5): Book this place now!!! - Every single bit of this stay was wonderful. From the drive, to our greeting from the host, to the clean, well appointed rooms, to the breakfast, to the view--all fantastic! I wish we had stayed here more than one night. The host is very friendly and involved (in a good way) and this stay was worth every penny! nothing at all
- Carolien (10/5): Super comfortable with an amazing host. - The host is amazing, very kind and knowledgable. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast is good and the hottub has an amazing view (as does the communal area). It is a very small guesthouse with only four rooms so it will never feel busy. The kitchen is great and fully equipes as well. We had the best stay here! Everything was great. Even the town of Grenivik has everything you need, a small supermarket, restaurant and gas station.
- Ioannis (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing stay. Beautiful setting, very comfortable accommodations and a welcoming and knowledgeable host!

None
- Giulia (10/5): Exceptional - This was by far the best accommodation we ever stayed in! Definitely one of the highlights of our three weeks in Iceland.
Great value for money. Many people stayed only for one night in the accommodation but it definitely pays off to stay longer. We stayed a total of four nights.
The breakfast had a good selection and there was something new and local or homemade to discover every day. As Italians we appreciated the great coffee from the coffee machine.
The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need.
The view from the dining room and the hot tub is amazing. You have a direct view on the fjord and the surrounding mountains. Our room also had the same view.
Ingólfur is the best host EVER and the nicest person we met in Iceland. He took so much time for each of his guests. He did everything to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible.
He was happy to share helpful and important tips and information about Iceland and we were able to learn lots of interesting things.
Even now back in Italy we talk so much about the time in Grenevik. An absolute recommendation for everyone!

- Marie (10/5): An amazing place to stay with an extraordinary host who creates a special Islandic experience! - Lovely and cosy rooms, delicious breakfast with local specialties, private hot tub with amazing view, best caring host ever! /
- Alena (10/5): This guesthouse will be your Icelandic home - Everything about this guesthouse was better than expected. It is located in a beautiful town in the middle of nowhere with splendid ocean view. Parking is available directly in front of the guesthouse. Breakfast is included and excellent with some homemade goodies to taste. But the true gem of this guesthouse is his owner. We really appreciated helpful tips and wonderful stories about Iceland. We stayed in six different locations during our trip and this guesthouse was one of two accommodations that were hard to leave. Thank you for making our Icelandic experience even more magical. Alena & Marcel (and small red car :))
- Ana (10/5): Warm welcome! - Everything was lovely. Quiet location and amazing host. Ingrid was so nice with us, warm reception, and we would stay longer for a good conversation! The breakfast is superb, in Icelandic style :)
Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

- Ellen (10/5): - Wow, what a treat! We had the absolute best time at this guesthouse. The host was very friendly and offered great advice about the next leg of our trip. We had a lovely breakfast with homemade pastries from the host’s mother. There is a hot tub with an incredible view of the fjord. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

- Valentina (9/5): Superb -
- Antons (10/5): Beautiful and very welcoming place - Ingólfur is the great host. We arrived late but still we were able to use jacuzzi with a fabulous view on the lake. Also he helped us to organize a nice boat trip to watch whales. Very nice and comfy dinning room with very good kitchen. Tasty breakfast. It was also one of the most beautiful places where we have stayed on our exploration trip across whole Iceland. It was also the most expensive accommodation we had in Iceland (and we had 10 of them) but for sure it was worth to pay extra. That I haven't managed to arrive there earlier :)
- Chiara (10/5): Wonderful place and perfect host - Everything: Grenivik Guesthouse is a wonderful place just in front of a beautiful bay. Ingo was a perfect host. He waited for us until late for the check in and also offered us dinner. We could use the tub and also the mini bar, for a delicious local beer. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was perfect, with home made pastry and local berries with skyr. Nothing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Tolle Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Frühstück!
- Jun (10/5): - One of the best guesthouse! The owner is very friendly and made a very good breakfast with homemade skyr. Also he introduced exciting places to visit and how to plan the day. View is one of the best in the area with sunset in front across the fjord. Rooms are clean comfortable and warm. Owner also called us to make sure we are safe when we are arriving late.
