Guest Reviews
- Cristian (10/5): - La cama
- John (8/5): Pretty good but improvements needed - Pretty good experience, stunning location, great swimming pool area, comfortable bed but room dated, breakfast so so with choice poor, some staff excellent but others seemed inconvenienced by any requests. Not possible to get a coffee or a drink after 11pm which is strange.
- RogerM3326 (6/5): Good but can do better - Good but can do better.
We had a bungalow, but the tiles on the floor need to be fixed. Douche water was leaking through the toilet space. No food is served at the swimming pool, ever no fruit. If you spend your day at the pool, better to foreseen something to eat. No fresh juices for breakfast. Steam bath does not work.
- chairman21 (10/5): Excellent pool deal - Amazing adults-only hotel. It caters mainly to the gay community. Fabulous pool. They’ve spent millions building this place. For non-residents: set lunch menu (very good quality) and use of the pool €20. So a real bargain. Fun fact: a hotel staff member climbed the nearest hill 1km away, high above the hotel and erected a rainbow flag. Way to go Ritual!
- Truereviews87 (2/5): Horrible - The only thing going for this hotel is the location, super close to el palmar and conil and the surrounding is beautiful.
The Hotel needs ALOT of upkeep, doors dont close, water coming out of the shower, wooden steps missing definitely not a four star, it has potential to be but management there has alot to desire. Some friends of mine had dirty rooms (full of condoms on the floor - what the actual f**k. I had hairs in the shower.
DO NOT EAT IN THE RESTAURANT- STAY AWAY. The food is a joke, service is bad. Food is tasteless and is definitely not homemade. There are a couple of restaurants nearby with amazing food, one being la pizzeria at la muela ❤️❤️❤️
The management and staff really need to go on a customer service course, the only person who was amazing is the lady at reception who was lovely, efficient and really understands the importance of giving a good impression.
Drink are overpriced 10euros for an alcoholic mixer. The discotheque called La Casona is horrible, music was such a disappointment. One person sat on the banister outside and the wood broke down and poor lad fall back and really hurt himself. This shows how dilapidated parte of the hotel is. If you are looking for a tranquil gay friendly hotel this is not the place. They do pool parties and anyone can go for the day. They don't even reserve the sun-beds for the clients so the outsiders take over. Oh and a-lot of drugs go on there, sorry not sorry but has to be said.
The Hotel Director is the worst. He makes everyone feel bad, instead of focusing on the wrong doing of a client, focus on how bad you manage the hotel. I feel i have to do this review because I wouldn't want anyone to pay the exorbitant costs which you are basically being robbed.
Get your act together because i do not think that hotel with survive another two years.
Oh there is a drag queen who is brilliant, Raquelita la torbe who always has a smile on her face. She is funny and a lovely person, kudos to you.
It may seem like i have something against the hotel but the sentiment was the same from lots and lots of people staying there. I will definitely never go back.
One star would have been zero stars just because of the location, raquelita and the lady at reception.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a great weekend vacation. The staff was amazing and always available to assist with any needs or information. Very clean hotel and excellent food.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Tolle Architektur!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Absolutely beautiful setting. Delightful to spend time in the sun by the pool. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would certainly consider visiting again, but would suggest two improvements. A small one would be to provide more shade by the pool. The big one is to improve the quality of food available on site. The quality of what was offered for lunch and dinner was simply not very good. If you wanted a decent meal and some variety that would therefore require driving 20 minutes each way to local restaurants when often you'd prefer to maximise your time at the hotel enjoying the facilities and the sun.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Buen trato, amabilidad. Recomendable 100%
- KenPhill (10/5): Amazing location - The location is amazingly beautiful set in the hills loiki g down to the ocean. The infinity pool is paradise. Peaceful, tranquil amazingly beautiful. Hotel stylishly decorated.
Buffet breakfast superb.Dinner menu excellent. Presented very well. Staff are extremely helpful. Danny in particular is wonderful. Professional and friendly. If you require total seclusion this is the location for you. Verjer de LA Frontera is 15 minutes drive.
- BentyUK (10/5): No Complaints! Excellent Stay! - Fabulous three night stay at Ritual El Palmar. Very relaxing spa and pool areas & clean, well appointed modern rooms.
The hotel is in a rural location so a car is a must!, although the hotel can arrange local taxi transportation to the surrounding towns and villages if required.
A breakfast buffet (hot & cold) is included in the price of your room and is very good. The restaurant also offers a three course menu del Dia (changes daily) for 15€. Good value.
A special thank you to Javier, who worked tirelessly at least 12 hours a day!
Booked again for June!
- karmannayakat (8/5): The best in area - Its completely new, modern hotel isolated from any living area.
Positive: Great design, many zones with terraces, open spaces, social areas as library. Staff is friendly. Hotel has small but very functional SPA area (includes 2 sauna's). The outdoor pool area is cool, with a bar and many deck chair options. Beds in hotel are wonderful. Thought hotel is far from the beach u get an ocean view from your room. 24H access to outdoor pool, gym and SPA.
Negative: They have a big issue with food service. As was mentioned above the hotel is isolated, and its isnt easy to get food/ drink at any time you want as you do in a city. Apart breakfast option they serve lunch (only from 14 to 16), after that only room service (untill 22pm+ 7€ the service). By circumstences we never were in that timelines and we had a question why those guys would not have an extra option of sandwiches or anything which is already done and they could sell it at any moment and not leaving your customer starve.
- FabrizioInLondon (2/5): Not living up to expectations - The place looks great and has potential but unlike the sister property in Torremolinos this one is definitely lacking. Be advised that while the website states the presence of a naturist area with pool, in fact the SPA would be the only nude area as there is no separate pool like in Torremolinos (though the webpage makes you thinks there is, false advertising?). In fact there seems to be some confusion about it as at check-in i was told the area wasn’t ready but when sent my comments about it, the manager said the actual pool was mixed though without signs and with everyone wearing swimsuits it hardly screams naturist.
The SPA also was limited as only the jacuzzi was working, both the dry and wet saunas were turned off 2 hours before the actual closing time.
The potential is there however the delivery of the experience is way below what you might expect.
- 493jeanjacquesl (10/5): Beautiful resort in nature with ocean view !!! - We were part of the first guests of the hotel ... everything is magical in this quiet place ... good atmosphere, good breakfast buffet and nice staff !!!
we will return very soon to enjoy the pool surrounded by vegetation overlooking the ocean!
- Storyteller508826 (10/5): Simply relax - I also came to the Hotel only a week after it was opened and I was always informed that due to some delays some of the amenities couldn't be ready on time. this was never a problem as I got a good discount.
I love the hotel is so nice but not pretentious, the whole hotel runs out of green energy what makes it a plus. The whole staff was incredibly helpful and nice at all times and, in my case, I must name Carlos, the director, who was attentive and always jumping to solve any issue that might arise due to the uncertainty of being the first days of the hotel being open.
This is a perfect hotel to visit the province of Cadiz, and it matches perfectly the whole protected area that doesn't allow to build big hotels. One of the many charms of the hotel is being fit for purpose as Cadiz is a place to come and drive around with a car or bike discovering unique corners of the nature.
I was lucky to enjoy the spa finished on my last 2 days, and I have to say that is cosy and well-equipped, and the perfect addition that allowed me to relax in the afternoons after having wondered around Cadiz bay the whole day. The sunset from the rooms is just breathtaking (see at the pic).
I can only say I will for sure com back, always off season, as I am the kind of traveler who enjoys places with not so many people.
