Guest Reviews
- Coles (10/5): - So peaceful, beautiful location, enclosed garden for dogs đ Nothing.
- Kathryn (10/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Comfortable home away from home - First reaction was clean, comfortable and cosy (but not small). Bathroom is huge, kitchen well equipped. Didn't take up opportunity to see reindeer or pygmy goats (no llamas like photos!) but spotted horses and two lovable red setters. Worked out how to use TV quickly. I'll be looking to book again if I'm back this way. They no longer have a hot tub (though we weren't likely to use it) nor spa-baths. However the shower was gorgeous, could have spent ages under there. Welcome book is very good and well laid out but needs updating in places.
- DAVE (10/5): - Well fitted out Gatehouse, perfect for 2 people as a base.
Host was lovely too.
- Oliver (10/5): -
- Paolo (10/5): Great location, great facilities, better than we were expecting - Anne was incredibly friendly and helpful, even allowed our kids a tour of the farm and to interact with the animals. Cherry barn felt like a home away from home and we were genuinely sad to leave Genuinely have no criticism at all, will definitely book again
- Guest (8/5): - Great location. Quiet. Good heating. Comfortable.
Good communication. Log fire. Thoughtful welcome basket and basic condiments in property. WiFi was intermittent.
TV is not compatible with some new TV apps
Towels and dressings gowns not fluffy & soft.
- Rebecca (9/5): Mini break - Very well maintained property and garden. The kitchen was very well equipped. Lovely and peaceful whilst also being not far from the beach and other attractions by car. We were in a property smaller than the photos showed, almost half the size infact, and we didnt expect the bedroom to be open plan with the living space, so with a toddler it restricted our evening so as not to wake her, I wouldn't have booked this accommodation had I known that. But well designed area otherwise. I also expected a sofa bed, but it was just a normal sofa in the lounge area. There is also a ÂŁ15 per dog fee per stay, which wasn't mentioned before making the non-refundable booking.
- Carl (10/5): -
- Della (8/5): Very peaceful, good location, lovely little cottage - Well equipped . Enclosed Garden for the Dog . Tranquil location. Short drive to beaches Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Quiet cute little farm and cottage, would like to come again. - It was lovely staying on the farm and seeing the horses, there were some ducks in a little pond and some reindeer in one of the other fields. Found some chickens and goats as well, and on the way in as you drive through the heath you would see wild rabbits. It was very quiet there, peaceful. The cottage itself was great, comfy sofas, decent size dining table. Bed was comfortable. Good Wifi. Kitchen has what you need, pots, pans, cutlery, a microwave.l We received a welcome basket containing eggs and homemade bread which was a very nice touch by the owners. For what it was, we felt we paid a fair price for the stay. A minor complaint was that the bath in the images had been removed and swapped for a shower. We don't have a bath at home and so for us it was something we were looking forward to. However, in the grand scheme of things it didn't really matter and the shower itself was very good. Apart from the change to a shower, the property was exactly as had been presented. The kitchenette didn't have much place to store food for the stay, but again, not really a big deal, we managed just fine.

- GEMMA (10/5): Exceptional cottage - Peaceful cottage. Outstanding cottage well equipped and hoists are very helpful. Definitely will be back again. Nothing at all..
- Akanksha (10/5): -
- Howard (10/5): Nice family, Great location and seeing the farm animals was a bonus. - The Keys were in the door so nice and easy. Great owners and staff. They were busy working the farm but always had time to talk with us and show us the farm animals. The location is great. only a short drive to Monkey World, the Tank museum, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and other great places to visit.
- Tony (7/5): -
- Caroline (8/5): - Excellent little lodge which was perfectly geared up for bringing our.dog with us - covers on the sofas, doggy towel and enclosed courtyard garden.
The owners were lovely and the opportunity to meet the animals was great.
If you stay in autumn /winter and you plan to venture to the pub by foot, as we did, in the late PM our torch was invaluable as the road is very dark and not lit - there is a sensor light for the courtyard garden so the lodge is well lit. A doggy bag was mentioned but not there - maybe this has changed since the welcome info was printed and only 1 toilet roll - but I am sure had we have mentioned this to the lovely owners it would have been sorted - we only ran short on the last day.
- Wilsdon (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Dorset Break - Location and facilities Hot tub cover very heavy to remove and replace, particularly as wife has a poorly back at the moment and I could not possibly manage it on my own.
- Jacek (10/5): Polecam i chciaĹbymtu wrĂłciÄ - Czysto, miĹa obsĹuga, cisza. Kultura wĹaĹcicieli. Blisko atrakcje. Rewelacja!!!!.đđđđ Wszystko byĹo ok
- Donna_0203 (10/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): Amazing place - Amazing place with great hosts. We used this for Bestival and will be back next year.
- Hatton (9/5): Loved Nutley Farm - We had a fantastic 3 night stay at Nutley Farm. Two adults, two children, and our dog. We stayed in Willow Barn, it was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed, nice big shower and easy to use.
The location is beautiful and so peaceful, great for walks, and everything is just a short drive away. Perfect base to explore from.
Loved the goats, ducks, and the reindeer, although only saw the reindeer once as the gates were locked for the remainder of our stay. Didn't see any alpaca or pigs there.
The staff were friendly.
We would 100% come back and stay again.
Thank you Nutley Farm. Nothing negative to say.
- Nieves family (10/5): Amazing best holiday ever - Beautiful place and so close to all the good tourist spots Cute and homely
- Jodie (9/5): A beautiful location with lovely hosts! My son was so happy to see the Reindeer each morning đ - Beautiful and peaceful location. It was so wonderful waking up and seeing the animals each morning đ
- Rachel (9/5): Relaxing break - Quiet, peaceful location. Lovely clean linen. Spiders
- Christine (10/5): - Lovely place to stay very quiet Everything was brilliant
- Peter (9/5): The owners were so lovely very peaceful area - Very cosy The only problem we had was not enough space to get in and out of the sides of bed and as my husband is disabled found it difficult
- Evaldas (10/5): Exceptional - For me it was good quality and price much. Good location. Spacious enough for two adults and two children. I loved to be away from everything. Peaceful and quiet place. I loved to have a feeling like at home. Good benefit to have individual parking space and garden. Just need to clean some webs from some corners and the place will spotless
- Laura (10/5): Beautiful place!! - The property was beautiful! Such a lovely place to stay and well equipped as described. Located on the farm was perfect for the kids - they enjoyed exploring, and it was so close to Lulworth Cove, the castle and loads of family friendly and dog friendly pubs!
We real enjoyed our stay at Nutley Farm and would recommend to anyone. Honestly, there wasnât anything! But next time weâll probably go for the 2 bedroom cottage so the kids can have more space.
- Marian (10/5): Exceptional - The barn is in a perfect location for visiting popular tourist places.
It was very peaceful and great grounds to have a walk round and see the animals.
- Kerri (10/5): Because location and property, we will definitely be going back - Location was perfect and only 8min from lulworth cove. The host was lovely and really welcoming. The location and the farm was lovely amd ideal to unwind
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Jess (8/5): Very good - Amazing property Would have just been nice to have some stable cooking bits like oil and salt and pepper as well as some scissors and cooking trays
- Carol (10/5): Relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle - Location was lovely and peaceful. Lovely to walk around the farm see the animals.
Garden was excellent. Sat outside listening to the birds and the quiet.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was so so perfect. We look forward to returning shortly!!! Everything was perfectđ
- Caroline (5/5): Did not meet expectations - The location of the property was perfect for visiting the Dorset coast. It is a lovely quiet property with excellent kitchen facilities. There are some lovely walks nearby and we are pleased the property accommodated our dog. We had a few hiccups during our stay. The first night there was no heating or hot water. We were sat cuddled up in duvets for the first night. On our second night the hot water was restored and the owner gave us some portable heaters that we were extremely grateful for and was very apologetic. When we used the shower it wasn't the most pleasant of experiences. The temperature controls were temperamental so it was a very brief shower. The shower and wash facilities could do with a bit of a upgrade. It is a shame because without the hot water and heating problems our stay would have been lovely.
- Margarite (9/5): Superb - Everything was wonderful.
- Emma (7/5): Good -
- Arti (10/5): Made our short break to Dorset memorable - Wonderful surroundings, excellent hospitality, very well taken care of. Well located for lots of activities None
- Albert (10/5): Exceptional - It's a perfect place for relaxing with a perfect host.
Thanks Nutley Farm.
- Graeme (9/5): Superb -
- Daran (10/5): Lovely place to stay. - The location was perfect for us. Ideal for driving to Wareham, Swanage, Lulworth, also made a visit to Tyneham. Nice walks near by, a very peaceful area. Also a visit which is only a mile from the farm is the Red Lion Pub great stuff and great food. My wife and I live in Hampshire so this a 1hr 20min drive so will definitely visit Nutley Farm again. For us there was nothing we did not like, maybe if the sun had came out would have been nice.
- Katydave (10/5): We had an amazing time at Nutley Farm. - We loved absolutely everything about Nutley Farm. We stayed at Christmas and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond and made our stay perfect. Thank you. Can't fault a single thing.
- Tara (10/5): 5 stars - A home from home, very relaxing
- Nivara (9/5): Superb - Lovely quiet location, clean and comfortable enjoyable little experience Took ages to work out tv but finally got there in end
- Kymberley (10/5): Beautiful stay in a beautiful place. - Excellent stay. Spotlessly clean. Warm cosy. Excellent location. Wonderful hosts. Garden could be more secure for smaller dog as my dog was able to get under the gated fence with ease but he is very small!
- Pearson (6/5): Room for improvement - Clean bedding and very roomie Dirty floor, cobwebs and dust in the roof area. Toilet cistern loose, one of the windows would not open, cold during the day as heating was on a timer, animals not accessible very easily. Asked to see animals and was told that it would be arranged, but it did not happen very disappointed.
- Ian (8/5): Great location, good facilities, could be amazing if a couple of niggles are addressed. - The cottage is spacious and quiet and is clearly built to a high standard. The enclosed garden was a real plus for dog owners too.
The bed linen and towels were very clean and the smart TV allowed access to all of the TV apps that we usually watch.
The rural location was great for us with dog walks on the doorstep and within easy walking distance of multiple pubs. The place needed a good deep clean (mainly the floors) and there were cobwebs in the ceiling that had clearly been there for quite some time.
The lack of a dishwasher was noticeable compared to most other cottages we have stayed in - particularly at the price of the stay. Losing some cupboard space and having a small dishwasher would be a great addition to the cottage for people like us who donât want to be washing up on holiday.
There needs to be a large mat area inside the front door. Even without a dog, what is currently in place isnât sufficient to avoid dragging the weather in with you.
The bedroom is large but only has a standard double bed in there. A king or super king size bed would be a great selling point and lead to a more comfortable stay.
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - Truly enjoyable experience, Julian was amazing and the animals were so well looked after. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and utilised the hot tub for two nights. N/a
- James (3/5): A cosy friendly place for a country break. - Very comfortable and a pretty and peaceful location but not too far from shops or restaurants.
- Guy (8/5): Very good -
- Pascale (8/5): Very good - Such a lovely place
- James (9/5): Basic but clean and well-equipped accommodation in a quiet location near beautiful attractions. - Nice quiet location, separated from other caravan berths and overlooking field with a couple of horses. Caravan is small but well designed and equipped. Clean. Lovely heath just up the road (but not in view from Heathview caravan!) and lovely area with beautiful coastal features and nature reserves - Arne is exceptional and Durlston Country Park well worth a visit. Didn't see hosts but we had all we needed. The listing in booking.com for Heathview caravan clearly states 'free wifi' but as soon as I made the booking I got info that there was none. There is 4G, but that listing info really should be changed. Communications and key pick-up a little chaotic but this wasn't a problem and we had a great stay.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!
- Miranda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (9/5): Nutley Farm visit. - The location was beautiful, and my wife enjoyed the animals. We were given a welcome basket containing bread and eggs, which made for a perfect evening snack on our first day and also toast for breakfast. There are some very good places to eat in close proximity. The property was easier to find than was expected. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The property had a nice little garden that was well secluded from view. Also, there are plenty of nearby sites of interest and attractions. The property, while being very good, was rather underlit. Whilst in Wool doing a little shop, I had an object thrown at me from a moving car. During the day, there was rather a lot of noise from maintenance around the property, and while I understand these things need doing it did impair the natural sounds being enjoyed while sitting and relaxing in the garden.
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this lovely farm. The hosts were so friendly and helpful and welcoming. We hope to be - The caravan was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. We loved visiting the animals especially the Pygmy goats.
- Sandra (8/5): A lovely stay enhanced by the beautiful surroundings and animals - Well maintained and comfortable Nothing
- Ana (8/5): Very good - Hosts were amazing and got us settled in very quickly.
- Slawomir (1/5): Horrible behaviour by the owner. Despite I have shared twice my bank details, he didnât returned my deposit. - I donât recommend this service as we have paid a deposit and itâs been more than a week and few emails including Support m team from Booking.com, and still I canât get my deposit back. This is an awful situation and I warn you before someone will make the same mistake. I didnât receive my deposit back!
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Great location, no WiFi, management of property somewhat chaotic - Location was excellent. Very quiet location close to Dorset tourist spots. Local pub - Red Lion - a 30 min walk away was very friendly and dog friendly.
Juian the Manager was very friendly, and always made time to chat. No wifi, which hampered our stay, unable to research local tourist spots, make video calls, make bookings online etc....no streaming services (Netflix etc) available on tv - not good as it rained most of one day so wouldve been useful. This was identified on arrival and was never resolved, Anne obtained a new Plusnet router which made no difference. (there is sparse cell phone coverage).
Julian appears to be the main Manager - I suspect he's overstretched (he was always busy) as the management of the property is somewhat chaotic. Issues included that the 'welcome hamper' was missing marmalade/sausages/extra bacon which I paid for (this took over 24 hours to be resolved)....property was missing cooking oil and salt (took 48 hours for oil to be supplied, salt never made it). Pepper pot almost empty, one of the plates has a hairline crack.
Property needs a routine to check everything is available (including the wifi) after the cleaner has finished. and before guests check-in.
Paid for the hot tub but only used it once - be aware the lid is quite heavy and cumbersome to remove - needs a lifting frame.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - The location and all the facilities.
- Geraldinr (8/5): It was clean very nice small but nice very quiet - The caravan looked onto a fiield with 2 horses.very nice to wake up to see The being in a field
The picture on booking form was miss leading look at photo.3.
- Stephanie (10/5): The Cherry Barn at Nutley Farms was charming, comfortable and an overall lovely place to stay. - We usually went off site for breakfast. However, Anne brought over some fresh eggs and baked bread, so those made for an excellent breakfast in that morning. We loved the quiet rural nature of Nutley Farms. After a frenetic 6-day tour, we loved the peace and quiet, with mostly just the birdsong and comforting Farm noises surrounding us. Cherry Barn proved very comfortable and well appointed with everything we could possibly need during our stay. Everything was clean and up to date within. We would definitely return if ever back that way. There was nothing about Nutley Farm or our Cherry Barn we didnât like. From the moment we arrived, it exceeded our expectations. We found it a welcome refuge from the stress of travel.
- Gino (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful location, farm animals, lovely walks around the farm
- Marcinoniene (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (10/5): Had a very peaceful 3 nights stay here. Recommended for a quiet break. - Heath view is a nice modern fully equipped 4 berth touring caravan set in a small touring/camping field (about 6 pitches) separate from other holiday cottages with its own fenced in large pitch, including patio table and 4 chairs for outside dining etc. Enclosed porch was handy for storing wet gear (fishing waders, muddy boots). Nothing to mention. Suited me exactly.
- Kerrina (4/5): Disappointed, no functioning toilet - On the first evening I noticed the carpet was wet in the toilet. In the morning it was even worse. I Informed the host, asked him if he wanted to look at it, he said he would come back later. We went out for the day, came back and I phoned the host, he had not been to look, so I ended up removing the soaking wet carpet from the bathroom, as I seemed more concerned than the host. The host did come, he looked at it and told us the toilet flush unit was broken, that is what was causing the leak. No way could I stay another night, as there was no functioning toilet, due to this only stayed 1 night and it turned out to be a very expensive trip , very disappointing weekend away
- Carl (10/5): A fantastic week in a lovely setting with great hosts. - Loved the whole location of the farm, the calmness of the countryside and the close proximity to everything we wanted to visit. Nothing
- Vivien (10/5): Lovely setting & lovely hosts - Lovely setting close to Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove
Spacious cottage with fenced outdoor area for our dog
Farm animals to visit on farm
Purchased bacon, eggs & sausages from owners
All perfect Nothing to fault
- Tracy (10/5): Lovely little gem in a peaceful location - Peaceful location but not too far from some nice pubs. Loved the farm animals Maybe a little welcome pack of milk etc
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frantisek (8/5): Lovely farm stay in a nice area - but the WiFi wasn't working - The property was comfortable and clean, and the hosts were friendly and forthcoming. The area is beautiful - there are very nice beaches, walks and towns nearby. Unfortunately, during our stay, the WiFi wasn't working. The hosts tried to resolve this, but weren't able to. This was mainly an issue as there was very limited telephone (4G) signal in the area as well.
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful stay in a beautiful location - Loved the location, close to Durdle door. Lots of local pubs to choose from. Farm very peaceful, beautiful surroundings, lovey animals. Great hosts who showed us round the farm and let our 2yo see the animals.
- Phil (9/5): Lovely Stay - Lovely friendly family farm. Lovely atmosphere. Loved seeing all the animals. Nothing.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - It was a lovely place , well equipped to enjoy time with family. Close to lots of interesting places. Great at Xmas but we may be back in the summer as loads to do.
- Jo (9/5): Superb - The cottage was very easy to find. Extremely comfortable and just the right location! Great for a break with my two boys.
Julian was wonderful, my boys helped bring the turkeys and goats in. A real treat was getting up close with the reindeers! We will be booking to come back in the warmer months. The only thing was a slightly squeaky bunkbed.
- Louise (10/5): Highly recommend - The location is amazing on a small farm with ducks, turkeys, pigs, goats, horses, alpacas and reindeer. The animals have lovely accommodation and friendly. The property was spacious with everything you need. The owners are kind and helpful. I highly recommend. Nothing
- Kirk (10/5): Excerlent location, clean and tidy stay will return again at some point - Freindly staff, that went out of their way to help
- Joanne (8/5): Had everything needed for a relaxing break - Wifi wasnât particularly strong or consistent
- Anonymous (8/5): ideal accommodation with a dog in beautiful Dorset. - stunning quiet rural location, beautiful bird song each morning, ideal solo/couple accommodation with a dog which had its own secure garden.
all amenities catered for. the shower worked with limited flow
- Tracy (8/5): Lovely location. Julian was really friendly and happy to help with anything. The caravan was clean and a good size. T - In a very peaceful location. Was a good size for a caravan. All the utensils you could need supplied. Good size fridge available. Comfortable seating. Comfortable bed. Wasnât anything we didnât like. The sink in the bathroom seemed to have quite a few small flies in in the mornings, no idea where they came from. One of the cupboard doors under the sink was broken so didnât stay shut. Kettle is full of limescale. These are really minor things though and didnât impact our stay.
- Kristofer (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely people well presented clean cottage N/a
- Talia (8/5): Lovely family break - highly recommended - Stayed in a caravan with our 18 month old, the farm was lovely, lots of animals for our son to see. The staff were very friendly and happy to help.
A small child in a caravan is always a challenge, but it had a nice fenced 'garden' he could potter around safely, which was an amazing aspect. I would recommend this farm to anyone from couples to families. Just a personal preference as someone who doesn't own a dog - never overly keen on staying in places that have animals staying as it is impossible to clean the hair / fur 100% and with a small child crawling about he inevitably ends up with hair over him. It is not criticism as the place was clean, just my own preference.
- Maria (9/5): A lovely Cottage Farm tucked away in a quiet location. - Amazing and so peaceful. We all loved it so much...I didn't want to leave đ
The farm animals were so much fun for us all, they really made the stay so enjoyable.
The place was was very clean, the teens had their own room and the kitchen and living room were so clean and comfortable.
The location was great and in between Luworth Cove, Monkey World and The Tank Museum. Parking is free and spacious. The duck enclosure near the parking area was lovely and the kids enjoyed looking at them! Nothing!
- Andrew (8/5): Relaxed, quiet and a great getaway. - The farm l, the friendliness of the hosts and the lovely location. Nothing.
- Amelia (10/5): Lovely stay in Dorset. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts. Great accommodation for a family with small child - Lovely location and great self contained cottages. Brilliant garden and very safe for dogs and children. Dog proof garden - excellent! Liked everything about it.
- Aebbe (10/5): Exceptional - Super quiet location
Lovely animals to visit and a great playroom with pool
And table tennis.
A real gem N/a it was super
- James (8/5): Very good - It was quited a peaceful
- Alma (5/5): Total retreat for 5 days. No connection (literally) to the outside world - The place was ok, peaceful and secluded which am after. Also area is close to some of the tourist locations. The internet was really bad and canât even google locations you need. Also, we pre requested the hot tub but water so dirty! So didnât use it. There were no welcome pack and room was too small, different from website as stated.
- Rob (9/5): totally relaxing - welcome items of fresh farm eggs and home baked bread
- Eduard (9/5): Superb - Good value, nice, quiet farm with horses, deers, and alpacas. Beautiful green area. Welcoming and helpful host. A bit far from bus stops, If you don't have a car - it can be a hassle.
- Barry (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. - All people on site were very friendly, including the owner Julian We did not understand how the loo worked until we'd been there a couple of days, but after that it was fine.
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nanna (8/5): Ok .but a bit tired - The farm animals were lovely..and the location is very nice .the accomodation was ok..like the ducks in the garden. The offhand attitude of the hosts..they done answer e mails or what's apps..you are left to get on with things..as I was told they are too busy several times..at nearly ÂŁ700for 4 nights I would have expected a better attitude.
The accomodation is ok but is a bit tired nothing a spot of paint and a very good clean of widows etc couldn't put right .
A few extra touches such as garden umbrella and loungers would be nice . I would have lived the chance to feed the animals and spend time with them..but the hosts just don't respond..
If you want to visit lulworth or durdle go early as both times we tried there was no parking.
