• Marguerite (10/5): - Our stay at Locanda Il Maestrale was so memorable! The Locanda is in the heart of Monterosso which made us feel like locals. It was really special when all the day tourists left the quaint town and we could enjoy the town at night. We loved sitting on the balcony at night. The hosts were super accommodating! They made sure we were comfortable and felt at home.

Breakfasts were good and enjoyed on the terrace. Lots of lunch and dinner options nearby. Our host was very helpful with any of our questions.

Breakfast is amazing, either in the lobby or on the terrace, with lots of tasty products. During the day you can also enjoy the terrace and free fresh orange juice, pastries or coffee. Most of all we enjoyed our host, which was really helpful and nice to us. People with reduced mobility might have a difficult time with the steep stairs, but I saw there was a rail elevator along the stairs which probably can be used

• AliceM90 (6/5): Beware: Bathroom and Bedroom are on Different Floors - This small inn had a very strange setup, maybe it was originally an old mansion retrofitted as a bed and breakfast? After an efficient but charmless checkin, we were shown to our room which was … not gonna lie, strangely designed. The main problem was that they constructed a loft bedroom above the main sitting room. Because of this setup, the bathroom was on the lower floor and the bedroom was above. As a 60 year old woman who needs to use the bathroom at least once at night, this was a significant downer, as I had to navigate the stairs at night. The drapes were formal and a bit creepy, honestly the design of the room was odd at best, with uncomfortable seating. The breakfast in the morning was ample, and the hotel has a nice shared patio area.

• elizabethm742 (8/5): A good choice - This small hotel is ideally located in the center of Monterosso. Giorgio is friendly and provides a delightful breakfast spread on the terrace overlooking town. The rooms are small, and the bathroom is tiny - not a big deal, as we weren't there to stay in our room. The air conditioning did not work. Fortunately, it was cool enough to sleep with the window open. This would not be comfortable in the warmer weather. Several of the photos are elsewhere in town, not directly at the hotel.

Frühstück top mit frischen Früchten und frischem Orangensaft. Strandtücher in Strandtasche wurden zur Verfügung gestellt, toller Service. Für Früchte und frisches Gebäck konnte man sich tagsüber kostenfrei an der Theke bedienen, super! Nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Der Lärm, als die Autos am frühen Morgen über eine Schwelle vor dem Hotel in die Innenstadt fuhren. Es war leider sehr ärgerlich, da man jeden Morgen um 06.00 Uhr geweckt wurde. (Dies in unserem Zimmer zur Strassenseite).

There are even snacks and fresh orange juice for you when you would like to eat something throughout the day and take a break plus fresh filtered water whenever you need. It was in the perfect area of town, very accessible to everything. The hotel is so beautiful and everything is well maintained and very clean. The only thing was that it gets hot in the room while sleeping. Maybe it was the mattress because we had the a/c on

• OzGirl19 (10/5): Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Monterosso - This small (6 rooms) hotel is in the heart of Monterosso. Stefania & Giovanni have created a friendly and homely space for their guests. Greeted at reception and shown the various facilities (tea/coffee/fresh juice/bread croissants) available on the terrace or inside, you will feel a strong sense of welcome. Rooms are very comfortable with storage, mini bar and fabulous air conditioning. Beach towels are also provided in a wicker tote for use. Delightful continental breakfast with meats, cheese, yogurt, cereals, toast and jams, fresh pastries and fruit. Topped off with coffee/tea made to order ( and hot chocolate) it is the perfect way to start your day exploring. The terrace also has a hot/cold/mineral water dispenser and ice machine readily available.

• Szilvia (10/5): Unbelievable place managed by passionate people - I can only speak about this place in superlatives. The location is amazing ( in the heart of the historical part of Monterosso). The Facilities are amazingly maintained, and has a brilliant mix of keeping the heritage and bringing in a modern flair. The beakfast is impeccable (Fresh orange juice, bio yogurt, and locale produce), and fresh fruits, And I have to mention the owners and the team as well - everyone shows utmost hospitality.

• Julia (10/5): - We could not have been happier with our stay! Right in the heart of old town, you’re a five minute walk from the beach and a ten minute walk from the train station. The rooms featured a comfortable queen bed, rather than the typical two firm twin beds pushed together. The best part of the stay was the lovely amenities. The continental breakfast was something we looked forward to every day. Freshly made cappuccinos, fruit bowls, and boiled eggs to order, among many other options. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind. We will be back!

There was an orange juicer and (as someone who loves cold drinks) an ice maker which made my day. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about hiking trails. I also liked the location of the property. The rooms were a bit small, but it did have a desk and we just used it for sleeping and it was worth it for the rest of the experience.

The breakfast was delicious. We were supplied beach towels and a bag. There was ice and cold water which was so nice during the summer. The patio space was great to hang out at and the view was amazing with so many plants and flowers.

Wonderful breakfast with so many choices the pastry, the fruit, the yogurt, the cappuccino ! Giovanni is a wonderful host. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our visit to Cinque Terre.
