It's a place totally apart and away from the city itself -- you could be in NYC or Istanbul while you're here. Sometimes, to get work done, that's helpful, as it was for us.
- Michelle (6/5): - The staff was really nice the only problem that i had was I paid for ocean View and it wasn't. It was supposed to be a king size bed and it wasn't I believe it was a queen size. Bathroom counter had not been wiped off and stains on it and on the floor had stains on it dirty spots when I took my shower water was running all over the bathroom floor the water was leaking from the shower on to the floor. But besides all of that the hotel is a very nice hotel I wouldn't mind stand there again the food was excellent and the staff was great!

- Awa (10/5): - We stayed for 5 nights in this hôtel. Everything about it was great however the best part is the large food variety in this hotel. We spent the whole time in the hotel and did not even eat out. The cherry on the top is the fact that they had an Iftar buffet for those who were fasting. The only area of improvement for me would to improve the maintenance of the bathrooms. If not they will wear down very quickly. They need to scrub the bath floors really well and the toilet. The waste water from my sink also stagnated for a long time.

The area also blocks your view, as if you are in canteen room for a jail. No cleanliness at all, with all the silver wear or mugs or even the silver wear you use to serve food.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Un incontournable à faire une fois - Indéniablement un hôtel iconique à Lomé. Les décorations de Noël étaient somptueuses. Accueil à la réception agréable. Bagagiste attentionné. Petit plateau d'accueil et mot personnalisé à notre arrivée dans l'appartement, une douce attention. Cependant mauvaise prise en charge de l'installation des enfants. Alors même que j'avais pris la peine d'envoyer un message à ce sujet lors de ma réservation. Il est indiqué sur le livret d'accueil que les enfants de moins de 12 ans sont accueillis gratuitement en chambre. D'une part il a fallu rappeler pour obtenir la mise en place du couchage et d'autre part un seul lit d'appoint a été installé. Pour obtenir un second, nous apprenons qu'il faut régler un complément. Ce n'est pas pour le prix, c'est pour le principe. Je fais l'effort d'interroger, on ne me répond pas et ensuite on indique un service payant alors qu'il est mentionné que l'accueil des enfants est gratuits. Le housekeeper venu faire la mise en place a part ailleurs été fort désagréable. Je précise que nous étions en appartement donc il ne s'agissait pas d'un problème de place. Enfin, je trouverais plus engagé de proposer des produits de soins et toilettes locaux que chinois dans les chambres. Un incontournable à Lomé, nous avons cependant préféré l'accueil du CIKA (ex-IOKA) dans le même quartier et également de grande hauteur.

(Bellboy also might be running a money changing scam- be suspicious). - Nighttime Bar service was terrible - staff chatting with each other rather than helping customers. Twice I had to leave my table and walk to the bar to get service. - had to ask 3 times for water for my room. (You have to pay for more than 2 small bottles) - broken lamp fixtures - broken toilet There aren’t many other choices in town, but this is not a 5 star experience, maybe 3 is correct. Food was very good however.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel is one of the best 5 star hotels that I’ve stayed at in West Africa and I’ve stayed in many in Lagos Abuja Abidjan and Dakar. What I find really nice here is the fact that the staff are very fast in helping guest requests out no matter how tedious it might be. In West Africa, what can take 5 minutes to do, will usually end up taking 45 minutes but not in this hotel. The pool side restaurant has excellent thin crust pizza, smoke salmon sandwiches albeit with a slick California type ambiance. The rooms were very clean, modern and felt refreshing entering into one. Price wise I paid Euros 110 per night and stayed 4. A similar quality hotel in Abuja or Lagos would cost at least 3 times more per night. In Lomé I would only recommend this 5* property to foreigners visiting for business or pleasure.
- Thue (8/5): Good hotel, all correct - One night stay. No complaints. Concierge was very helpful. Would have liked a couple of snacks in the minibar/fridge. Room was good and in good conditions. Bed very comfortable. I will most likely return to this hotel when in Lome

However upon arrival they were sincerely apologetic and complimented us for the inconvenience. I absolutely loved the hotel and staff very beautiful and big. Rooms were lovely and clean food was great. Great views and near the beach. Will definitely be back for a longer stay and explore more.

Lowlight is that the hot water was lukewarm at best. Highlight was dinning at the Ashanti sky restaurant. But for the price you pay they just about got this right. Overall, way below par.

The bed was very comfortable and the curtains were perfectly blocking outside lights. I wish the walls had a thicker soundproofing materials as noise from other rooms and the hall gets into the room. The restaurant non the 27 th floor was a bit disappointing. It was more of a cafeteria on the roof top than a fine dining restaurant. The breakfast is limited and could use more fruits

I chose a standard room and it was clean and spacious. The only negative for me was during check-in. I made my reservation on Orbitz but I decided to pay at the hotel instead of paying online. The hotel would not honor the Orbitz price because their daily rate was higher. My advice to anyone planning to stay here and making a reservation on Orbitz would be to pay online when you make your reservation. This is the first time that a hotel did not honor the Orbitz price when I paid at the hotel.

By force because while reserving shuttle at front desk nobody told me it was chargeable and I got trapped early morning on my departure day without any other choice!!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is imposing -- and very centrally located. Warm and helpful staff. Despite minor hitches, like blocked sinks and half of the lifts out of order, 2 Fevrier is one of the best hotels in West Africa. Food, and drinks especially, was affordable. The apartment I stayed in was spacious and well equipped, with a large living room with views, as well as a small kitchen and an additional guest bathroom. I particularly liked the hotel's clean and calm setting and sweeping views of everything, including a slice of the sea. Check-in and check-out were brisk and pleasant. My impressions of the hotel will be sealed (I hope) with their readiness and speed in forwarding to me some important items I forgot in one of the drawers -- I discovered the oversight a few hours after I left Togo and promptly notified the hotel by e-mail.

A bit taken aback, however, by the visibility of security: their presence is NOT subtle (dark black suits/ties/white shirt, and ALL men)… reminiscing of almost a presidential palace... a bit … hum … discomforting in this day and age.

- William (8/5): A Jewel in Lome - Modern western/European stylehotel nestled in Lome. Beautiful views all around of the surrounding city and Gulf of Guinea. Restaraunts were quality and reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. My standard king room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Cleanliness of the hotel is top notch. Hotel staff were all very professional and friendly. Only two knocks to mention. I found the two chairs in my room to be uncomfortable. Finally, I discovered a few persistent ants on and around the desk. Overall, this is a high quality hotel that I would definitely seek out should my travels bring me back to Lome.
