Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect Apartment - This apartment was perfect for a group of three. Large queen bed and large double pull out couch super comfortable. Large bathroom as well as a great kitchen area with washing machine and washing supplies. Great location and the apartment was bright, clean and lovely to stay in. Definitely stay here, highly recommend.
- Marisa (10/5): Excellent - It was clean, spacious, central and safe Everything was very good
- Jordan (8/5): Good for the price, we very much enjoyed our stay. - I loved the spaciousness of the room. The location was close to the main area and the beach clubs. We very much enjoyed the 2 balconies in the rooms. Had a full length mirror. Nice and clean bathroom. The washing machine did not work. The microwave inconsistently worked. The main larger shower head was a bit broken - water going in all directions and pressure low.
- Anonymous (7/5): Cosy but tired stay near train station. - Close to Sorrento train station (less than 3 minutes walk). Good location to explore the rest of Sorrento. Washing machine was useful as was the kitchenette. Air conditioning was great. The apartment was dated and tired. Needs a refresh of paint and a deep clean. Simple things missing such as a towel rack in the bathroom or a clothes drying rack (the outside one was perished and only had 3 clips). Same for the kitchenware provided - all dated and past its best. Still fulfilled the purpose, but would expect more for what they are asking with price.
- Maxine (10/5): Amazing, great apartment and great location - Great location, right next to the train station, spotless Nothing
- Angela (5/5): Passable - Location was great Air conditioner was broken
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb - Very close proximity to station and Flixbus stop. Close to town centre. Well maintained unit. Nothing.
- Anne (7/5): Great location. - Great position. Nice & central to everything. Good size apartment. It had air con. We were in the 3rd floor but they did have a lift.
- Jasna (7/5): Wonderful accomodation in Sorrento - Great spot in central Sorrento - very easy to get around. Clean facilities and friendly staff! Washing machine didn’t work (we contacted the property but didn’t hear back)
Slightly run down
- Cindy (9/5): One of our favorite places to visit. - Location was great-everything was available in walking distance. The area was very clean, safe and beautiful. Nothing
- Cath (7/5): Good - Self contained
On bus stop route
- Antonio (8/5): Great stay well located in the centre of Sorrento - Clean, well located at one end of the main road Corso Italia. Nothing
- Yassin (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location in the centre of Sorrento.
- Susan (9/5): Great place for a short stay in Sorrento as close to all the amenities - Nice and close to the train station and a short walk to the port and restaurants Hot water was a bit unpredictable
- Vittorio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joana (8/5): Very good -
- Chong (5/5): Passable - very near to Sorrento station and comfortable room Shower warm and cold water condition is very bad. So we have to wait to shower because some time is very hot and cold.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, and the facilities were great. Very clean as well. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento. The coffee maker in the room didn’t seem to work with the induction hob. But that’s the only negative. There was also a kettle so we just got instant coffee instead.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (6/5): Ok as a base to visit other places but not somewhere to really relax in. - Great Location in the centre of Sorrento. Good initial communication about arrival. Clean and tidy on arrival. No separate living room as claimed in the listing , just a bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. Few plates/cups/cutlery, broken bathroom fittings. Non functioning washing machine, no coffee machine.
- Dominik (7/5): Great location, decent bed with unfortunately non functional shower - Really friendly staff. Flawless communication via Whatsapp. Bed is decent and there’s a washing machine which is convenient. Great location too. Had some issues with wifi but owner was quick to help us use a different one. The only issue that was disappointing was the shower. It’s very small but much more importantly holds very little heat water in the boiler. I had to shower basically two days in ice cold water. One time I tried after my partner showered which seemed to have drained it and the other day we arrived after a full day of sightseeing and saw the heater having basically no hot water. It didn’t seem to warm up either so had to take a second cold shower which was a bit unpleasant in the quite cold April weather.
- Churchward (10/5): Exceptional - Cute apartment, perfect for our family. Great location and staff provided extensive local area information. Highly recommend!!
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - Position and comfortable bed. Kitchen is poorly equipped, no tea towel or sharp knives. Nowhere to hang bath towels. No balcony or washing machine as advertised. One toilet roll for 3 nights stay.
- Illia (4/5): Disappointing - 1) location - 10/10, everything close (shops, restaurants, bars, beach).
2) stuff - kind, nice and answer for any questions. 1) I don’t understand point with “pay city taxes” if I already did it when I booked my apartments, but anyway I was charged for it. I did it, cuz stuff (or maybe owner) said that I suppose to do it, but when I checked my receipt on booking I realised that I actually did it. Looks like a normal practice to get extra money from tourists. Definitely dislike.👎
2) about clean, maybe it’s happened cuz we changed our room for bigger one exactly in a same day when we’re arrived, but wasn’t so clean (balconies, kitchen, sofa looks not so fresh (I understand that I wasn’t a 1 person who used this apartments, but I definitely wasn’t ready for it when I’m paying 700€).
3) not enough some stuff. This point it’s more about toilet and kitchen staff. A) toilet paper - we’re stayed for 4 nights, and in all appartments we have only 1 roll. It’s strange little bit, cuz I never saw it before, in any appartments. B) we got instruction that we should follow the roaster and bring rubish away every day (like Monday - food waste, Tuesday - plastic and etc. But, again - 0 bags for waste. Should I buying extra bags and toilet paper for 4 night if I’m paying 700€? I don’t think so… C) kitchen staff - pans and pots wasn’t new, they looks as really old and damaged. Plates was little bit dirty, so we washed everything again (it’s not a problem to do, but it’s confusing cuz u didn’t expect this when came in to appartments).
- Anne (7/5): Good - Gloria, the host, quickly responded to our concerns. She is friendly and kind. The location is good. View to garden is nice although surrounded by other apartment buildings. Apartment has potential but right now needs work. It does have many of the essentials: WiFi, hot water, microwave and stove top. For a short stay it is ok, but it's not comfortable enough for longer stays. The building that contains this apartment is a disaster. Unlike the staged pictures on Booking, the apartment is very plain and simple. The "table" is a small piece of wood attached to the wall. Two aluminum folding chairs sit on either side. There is no floor lamp as is shown in the listing pictures. Towel bars are needed in the bathroom. Also needed are luggage racks so you have a place to open your bag. The television sound system is distorted. The freezer needs to be defrosted.
- Cilene (8/5): Very good -
- Brooke (6/5): Ok stay, wouldn't go back though. - Location was good close to the train station and lots of restaurants. Responsive host who allowed us to check in earlier than 3pm. The room is spacious but very basic and missing some of the finishing touches as seen in the photos. The entrance to the building complex is very dodgy and run down, but nothing to do with the apartment.
The shower was slightly mouldy and is small so is a bit of a struggle for the average sized person. The hot water also runs out VERY quickly so my partner and I had to stagger our showers half hour apart so we could both have hot water. There was no WiFi in the room which our host informed us the range extender was missing, but a replacement was not provided while we were there. Also no bath mat was provided and only one toilet roll was provided for 4 nights.
- Kate (8/5): Great location, clean and modern unit with nice balcony - Great location, 3 min walk from train station and short flat walk to centre of town. Nice little balcony, good for breaky. Very clean. Washing machine useful. Quiet at night. Comfy bed. No written instructions in the unit about anything, such as how to operate electric window shutters or washing machine, what WiFi code is, and how to operate induction cooktop (we had to consult Google).
- Shari (7/5): Good - Great location. Very clean. Very good communication from host. No breakfast offered. Bathroom and shower were mediocre. No extra toilet paper, soap or towels offered.
- Sher (9/5): Sorrento clean great location - Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the station. Very clean easy to find had a wee balcony. We asked for more toilet paper from the cleaner but were told no... strange
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Wrg1 (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. - Very handy to the railway station, town centre and shops. Spacious, comfortable upstairs apartment (with lift access). Nice to sit out on the balcony in the evening and watch the vibe in the street below.
The host was very helpful with arranging our late evening transfer from Naples airport and the keys for access. The way to get to the apartment was a little confusing from the main reception hall. The lift and stairs are tucked around a corner at the end of a long corridor. OK once you know where to go! Perhaps a couple of signs would help?
- Helen (8/5): Great central location, very close to station. - Location was perfect if arriving by train, so very close. Was comfortable and quiet with nice verandah. . The foyer area I'm sure in it's day was lovely, today not so nice, just ignore, once inside the unit it is lovely and very central.
- Helen (7/5): Great location, but not a bit basic. - Great location, just off the main street and right by the station, but still reasonably quiet. Large comfortable bed and spacious main room, with plenty of storage space. Kitchen not very well equipped (no kitchen knives or chopping board, only one teaspoon, no tea towels) and only one socket for kettle, hotplate and microwave to share, so would have been hard to self-cater.
Furniture OK if basic. Plumbing needs attention - water in shower and sink not draining properly. Apartment was clean, but the communal areas were damp, with paper peeling off the walls.
- Angela (8/5): Good location, great size room! - Location about 10 mins walk from main hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Easy to walk to ferries etc to explore the coast/islands.
HUGE room, a nice change from where else we’ve stayed in Europe!
Bed and pillow comfy. Some resident cats who hang out in the lobby too which was sweet.
Owner was very communicative and welcoming! Check-in process tricky (had to walk to a tennis club to get keys).
Elevator played up a little sometimes.
The building doesn’t look the nicest on the outside/lower levels but room itself was great.
Otherwise a great stay!
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Wanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nina (7/5): Good -
- Con (8/5): Very good -
- Raffaele (8/5): Very good -
- Lucia (7/5): Good - Great location; Great view from the room; We really appreciated Gloria's willingness to meet our needs despite not being on site. Cleaning of provided towels; Given the excellent reviews, we were hoping for better hospitality and information from the substitute host.
- Fiona (1/5): I would not recommend this property - Nothing Rude host, facilities not as advertised or expected. Did not stay at premises. Had to book and move to another location which was excellent.
- Carolyn (8/5): Spacious lovely apartment. - The location was excellent being 3 minutes from the train station. If you want early check in, then a 8 min walk to the tennis centre first to collect the keys (and up a slight hill )so I left my husband at the apartment foyer with our heavy suitcases and then walked and collected the keys myself and that worked well for us. Other alternative is to wait until 2pm and hostess will meet you at the apartment. The apartment itself was spacious and well appointed. The furniture was new looking and everything presented really well. Good ventilation in bathroom and the air conditioning was great. Hot water in shower was plentiful. Great design in bedroom with 2 separate shelving and drawer units for clothes storage. Table in bedroom for eating. Good allocation of towels. There was a little kitchen area if you wanted to prepare or heat up food..but we didn’t use as we ate out all of the time. Little fridge was useful to cool bottled water or food . The hostess was excellent with communicating with us every step of the way from collecting the keys for an early check-in to sorting out the internet access. The shower was small and getting out you had a step down on a slippery tiled floor even though the shower floor towel that was provided was there. A better non slip mat is needed here. There was nothing solid to hold on to so it was quite dangerous we felt. There was also no where to put the soap in the shower for easy access - only a plastic deep caddy for shampoo bottles. So a better caddy would help. The key to the main front door leading to the individual apartments was tricky to operate and always took several key turnings to get the right contact point.
- John (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location
Just far enough away to be quite but close enough to be a short walk from the centre of town. Close to the marina for day trips to Capri and Amalfi Water pressure in the shower could have been better. Otherwise fantastic!
- Emily (10/5): Great apartment, great hosts and great location! - Great location, 5 minute walk from the train station and 10 minute walk to the main square. Great sized apartment also Nothing
- Georgia (5/5): Great location, but room for improvement. - This property was in a great location, very convenient and easy to find. Very close to the train station too!
Great that it had washing facilities and an iron! Unfortunately we didn’t find the facilities / utensils to be very clean (dirty cups, dirty cutlery, toilet with faeces stain, old crackers in the cupboards).
The property came with basic utensils, but it would have been nice to have some wine glasses, a cutting board and a tea towel.
We stayed four nights and unfortunately were only given one roll of toilet paper too.
One of the main reasons we booked was to utilise the balcony that is shown in the pictures/property description. Unfortunately, the balcony was all closed off and there was no way to use it (and we were not informed about this prior to our arrival).
Given this is also a private rental, there was no reception. This meant we had to carry all our luggage another 400-800m to collect a key. Not ideal after 24hours of travelling.
- Ian (6/5): Disappointing - Location was great as near train station and not far from main square and ferry port. Small balcony and washing machine were a bonus. Having to walk a kilometre round trip to collect keys and pay city tax was not great after a big day at Pompeii. Leaving aside the terrible state of the communal space, the apartment could be so much better. The small shower didn't drain even though water pressure was dismal, the coffee machine needed a clean out as wouldn't pump water to make coffee and there were limited utensils etc in the kitchenette. Mentioned to host but then saw these issues had been raised by others previously.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Regina (8/5): Host is very responsive & helpful. Perfect location. -
- Euneze (8/5): Overall a very good stay - Location is good. Nice kitchenette. Washing machine Reception was not good - on arrival, we had to wait outside for someone to bring a key to the apartment. We were asked to walk another 800 meter with suitcases to collect the key somewhere. We refused and they sent someone with the key. Self check in will help.
Would have been nice if there was a tea bag or coffee in kitchen, like all the other hotels do.
- Rochelle (6/5): Good location to train station - Good location Shower opening way too small!! I have never seen such a ridiculously small opening. Key pick up not convient. After a long day of travelling we had to walk 10min past location to pick up keys from someone at a closed tennis club. The guy was just arriving when we got there. Someone should have met us at location. Building very old and dirty, ceiling falling down. Dirty wet dish cloth left from previous person.
- Lydia (5/5): ..maybe bed bugs - Great location, super close to the train station and heaps of restaurants. You won’t be hiking your luggage up any hills. After the first night sleeping in the bed I got bit by something… I thought a mosquito. By the end of our stay I was covered in bites. I have bites all over my feet, legs, arms and back. I dont want to assume bed bugs, fleas or mite but I don’t know what else it could be..?
The shower base flooded Everytime we used it.
There was no hand soap or body wash provided for our stay, only shampoo.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Great location, great amenities! - This property is right in the heart of Sorrento! It was very clean & amenities were great. There is a washing machine, microwave, kettle, coffee machine & cook top with all cooking utensils needed. We made dinner one night in the room to save some money and we used all the amenities.
- Mitchell (7/5): Good -
- Ilse (9/5): All in all a good and comfortable stay. - Excellent location. No toilet seat.
- Carmen (10/5): Fabulous - Excellent location, right next to the train station and very close to the city center and a few steps from the marinas. Gloria, the host, was very friendly and allowed us to enter the room earlier because it was pouring rain outside. Nothing to mention.
- Georgiana (10/5): Exceptional - Loved how spacious and clean it was
Loved the location
Great tv and aircons
Just supurb!! Hot water only lasted 3mins
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Nadia (7/5): Good - Location is good. For that price I was expecting more. Only one toilet paper, soap in the sachet is not nice, there is no soap for the washing machine. I understand in some places you buy it, but this price is quite high they should provide more amenities. Basically there is nothing in this room.
- Joe (3/5): Filthy and run down with poor discription - Location was good and that’s about it. Upon entering the property building it is very run down. In fact, there are supports up as the ceiling seems to be falling on the main floor. The elevator is tiny and sketchy so we opted to walk many flights up. On the stairs the walls are filthy with peeling wallpaper. Upon entering the common area shared between three apartments it is very bright and light. We entered our apartment and found a tiny kitchenette with a very loose faucet. There was no living room as stated in our booking. We moved on to the small bedroom and felt the mattress. It was actually a box spring or sofa sleeper mattress with springs. The apartment baseboards were dirty as were the walls. It had a tiny bistro table in the bedroom and one outside on the small balcony. We immediately reached out to Gloria, our contact for the property, as we assumed we were given the wrong room. We were not and she stated that the area near the kitchenette was to be the living room but we argued that it usually contains a sofa. See photo with a small carry on for size reference. The shower was the smallest we have ever seen. No way to shave your legs without opening the door and getting water all over. You also hit your knees on the washer when you sit on the stained toilet if you are over 5’10 or so. We were so disappointed! Gloria told us she would give us 100Euros if we promised to not leave a bad review. Nice way to try and bribe us with a tiny amount of money. We contacted Booking.com and they contacted her and we got back 180 Euros total. We stayed one night instead of five and were out over $800. We left the apartment discouraged and went hunting for a new place to stay. So buyer beware! If it seems great for the price, it’s really in poor condition for the price with great photos.
- Hughes (10/5): Exceptional - Locations was great !
- Lina (9/5): Superb - The location of this property is perfect! We were close to everything!
- Lorenzo (5/5): Good location to Sorrento, apartment was not as expected. - Good location, easy to walk to Sorrento Air conditioning did not work well, in 35 degree days we had to shut door from kitchen area to bedroom/eating area to get any cool air. It was uncomfortable at night to sleep and owner did not do anything to help fix issue. Rooms were smaller than expected for 5 people. Fridge was small for an apartment. No laundry for our apartment. Cups and plates were dirty, needed to wash them. Apartment general areas were having construction and did not look nice.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (7/5): Clean apartment great for a couple of nights. - Close to train station and close to shops. Shower was a bit small and washing machine didn’t spin dry the water, I had to do it by hand.
- Parmjit (9/5): Great central location - Great central location. Nothing
- Katherine (8/5): Great location - Great location close to the train station and walking distance to many restaurants. Air conditioner was very welcoming 🙏 Nothing
- Helen (6/5): Spacious apartment which is close to apartment - Nice and close to train station. Spacious apartment No wine glasses.
No hand soap or body soap.
Advertised it had sea views - we couldn’t see any sea from apartment
1 x rubbish bags (we stayed 3 days) and asked to seperate rubbish
- Karolina (7/5): Very good location close to everything - Good apartment close to the centre very close to the train station and bus good for transfers back to Naples
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the closeness to centre and train station.
The appartment services your needd.
It's not for anyone who likes luxury.
We were bery happy there.
Gloria who handed the keys over went above and beyond to help us .
Even meeting us when the taxi booked through booking.com badly let us down.
She came to meet and take us grom the centre to appartment.
Very helpful and always available if problems arose Paying for a taxi through you and being let down even though we were told the driver was tracking the flight. Because of delays with ba.
Was met in arrivals by a very rude lady who said we had to pay another 100 euros on top of what we had paid.
Not impressed at all.
Advise is do not book a taki via this. Get in contact with gloria vis this and she can arrange everything.
Booking.com you need to get that sorted.
I will never book a transport via this again. Spent most of the holiday wondering if the company booked would actually turn up.
I should be in titled to at least get the 100 euros back.the transport side of things ended up costing 300 euros. Not good. Will you read i wounder and reply.
- Olivia (6/5): Great location for Sorrento but facilities could be more comfortable. - Great location for travelling on the train to Pompeii or Naples. An easy walk into the main centre. We liked the balcony and reasonable sized room. There is a washing machine and small kitchen which was handy. The bed was too firm/thin mattress for our liking so we didn’t have the most comfortable nights sleep. The bathroom, especially the shower is dated but does the job.
- Akash (8/5): Great location to explore Amalfi coast - The location was excellent. Just 200 mts from the train station and spot to catch the SITA bus to Amalfi coast. The main plaza with restaurants is nearby and a great super market is close by as well. The room with the double bed and sofa bed is decent size and bathroom is large. The host is very warm and responsive on WA and we had no challenges whatsoever. The kitchen is a bit cramped, small kitchen area and slab. The utensils are getting very old and in need of replacement. We managed to get some extra utensils from the flat next door managed by same host otherwise it would have been difficult.
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Location , cleanliness and Gloria was amazing! Nothing - it was all perfect!
- Gurvinder (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good - Gloria communicated well with us beforehand, welcomed us on site when we arrived, and helped arrange a place for us to park our car. Location of the place is terrific. Wish we could have stayed longer!
- Natale (10/5): Exceptional - Very convenient location. Everything was excellent.
- Katie (8/5): Great location for a stay in Sorrento for a few days - The apartment was in a great location and fairly spacious. The apartment had a nice balcony to sit outside and have breakfast. The kitchen was stocked with basic items to prepare simple meals. Gloria the host was very responsive. The bedding could have been more comfortable.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Great short stay to revisit Pompeii and Herculaneum. February made it more difficult to find an open - Excellent location, especially for buses and trains.Gloria was a great host and we could not have a warmer welcome. Only 1 power point in kitchen so could not use kettle and MicroRather cold outside but this did not spoilwave or hob at the same time. Could have done with a toaster
- Offer (8/5): I would easily return and recommend to others. - great location, large size of apartments, great service from owner bed mattress was too soft for my taste. cost of parking was higher than expected
- Kellie (7/5): Good -
- Catalina (10/5): perfect stay in sorrento. Big room with a good kitchen and big bathroom. In the center of sorrento so you can go by foot - it’s big, in the center of sorrento a lots of restaurants and supermarkets near
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Geoff (8/5): A great, basic and affordable apartment in Sorrento - Convenient location steps from the train/bus station and the tourist area of Sorrento including shops, restaurants and a supermarket. We stayed in the Cameo room with a balcony that faced the back of the building and was quiet. Small kitchenette with mini fridge, hot plate, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and dishes. Washing machine. Good wifi. The host was easily contacted with The chat app. Not fancy but a great, basic place to stay if you are looking for an affordable apartment in Sorrento. Not a lot of place to put your belongings.
- Moon (10/5): The best accommodation in beautiful Sorento - If you're going to use the train station in Sorento and the sita bus to Amalfi, the location of the accommodation couldn't be better. It only takes 3minutes!
The room is secure and fast elevator is available.
The spacious and clean room will provide you everything you want. well decorated room match the Sorento Marine color!
And Gloria, the host is very kind and sweet! I am not familiar with English, Thanks to her consideration, I was able to communicate well
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was nice, the location, the room, the terrace and the bathroom. Centrally located but quiet, very cute place
- Marcela (10/5): Big Space, Great Location, Good for a family - We are a family of 4, with 2 kids, doing a roadtrip in Italy. The location is definetely great, 1 block from the train. The space is perfect for a family with luggages. We got the room with the balcony, we used it every night. We had reservation for 2 days, and then I realized that I should consider this place as a base to visit Amalfi. The answer by whatsapp with Gloria was always quick and very nice. Deja opened the door for us the first day and explained all. If you need parking is plenty around in the area, and maybe they can reserve one for you, we arrived by train. Amazing thing when is summer that rooms have A/C in the main room and the living room, is not common to find a/c sometimes. A big fridge, coffee machine with microwave are available. We ate outside everyday, food is much cheaper here than anywhere else in Amalfi.. About the bed, I was so exhausted every day, I falled asleep like a baby, but maybe in the maim room they need to rethink in a replacement. They need a formal set of glasses, we only had one glass for the wine. The silverware need to be replace, still working, but are low quality, like plastic.
