Guest Reviews
- Yuri (10/5): - The best place in this city
- Ronald (8/5): - great breakfast buffet in penthouse restaurant
- Nurettin (10/5): - Freundliches Personal. Angenehme Atmosphäre.
- Emre (10/5): - Yıllardır gittigim otel. Akşam yemekleri gayet güzel ve fiyat olarakta gayet uygun. Cogu insan otelde aksam yemek yemez bunu o sebeple yazıyorum. Kahvalti da ne ararsaniz var. Tekrar Burdur a yolum düşerse tek tercihim yine burası olacaktır.
- Mehmet Umit (10/5): Gayet yeterli bir konaklama - Otel gayet yeterli. Odalar temiz. Kahvalti guzel. Personel iyi ve nazik. Teşekkürler. Burdur dan tekrar geçersem yine konaklarım.
- Orkun (6/5): Fiyat Performans Uygun - Fiyat performans açısından uygun bir deneyim.
Zayıflıklar;
Oda Kilimasının soğutmaması ve gürültülü çalışması
Odaya hakim toz kokusu

- ladymediterranean (10/5): would recommend - This hotel has friendly staff and clean rooms. The bathroom is comfortably big and the beds are comfortable. Their breakfast offer is above average and anyone can get a personalised scrambled egg (with individually chosen ingredients). The restaurant is on the highest floor and has an amazing view over Burdur.
Unfortunately, the pool was closed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel needed a lot of attention. Renovation is required for the room and bathroom . Staff were friendly.
- Rajiv001 (8/5): Hotel Grand Oceren - Burdur - Presently this is the best option in Hotels available in Burdur . It is next to MIGROS shopping mall. Many good restaurants are walking distance . Breakfast is good . Staff is cordial and cooperative. Hot water kettle with 2 water bottle are provided in room . Tea/ coffee sachet come alongwith.
Air conditioning is good .
- Paul (8/5): Average hotel but with outstanding staff - We stayed for four nights at this hotel. The hotel was good but not exceptional. Parking is a major problem with pot luck finding a space on the road. We were lucky on two occasions and managed to park outside the hotel. Once nearby and once on a street a couple of minutes walk away. We used the hotel as a base to explore the local area. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine with the usual Turkish breakfast cuisine, not one of the best nor the worst that we have ever had. Good view of the lake over the roof tops from the roof top restaurant. Overall an average stay in an average hotel but outstanding staff.
- Wanderlustbugged (6/5): Family road trip in Turkey - Quiet hotel. Good facilities, all as advertised except that the pool was out of order. Very friendly staff. We received a warm welcome and lots of good advice on sightseeing in the local area. Would recommend this hotel to families.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is like a dream: everything works, the staff is helpful and friendly, the spa is fantastic, the breakfast is amazing, the location is perfect.
- Lahtiboy (10/5): Great hotel for a good price - The hotel was a good place to stay at. First, the stuff is always trying to help you. Nice location near the museums. Then the complimentary tea in the reception area was a nice surprise. The breakfast was also good.
- Bogdan (8/5): No family room , no change reservation - Very good place but not reservation for family room... only double room in hotels. com????
- praveenc2013 (8/5): Excellent location, nice staff. - The location of this place is perfect, right in the centre of the city. Very helpful staff, they provide valet service in case you are driving. The breakfast on the top floor has a quite wide range of choices. I will stay again in this place.
- PerranBoran (8/5): You can definitely stay while you are in Burdur - We stayed for one night on our way to Fethiye. The room was nice, and clean. We liked the breakfast a lot. The restaurant has a lake view. The location is also great, you can walk to restaurants nearby. You can also enjoy hamam.
- Rajiv001 (8/5): Visit - It is still. The best. Hotel to stay in Burdur . The. Rooms are. Good and. Reception is friendly. . The. Buffet. Spread at breakfast. Is simple . Hotel location. Is good. And have. Migros. Super bazar. Just. Next to. Hotel. Gate. Entrance.
- BSahin (8/5): Very Good for Burdur - Hotel is small and not so professional but the staff is good and helpfull. Rooms were clean, comfortable. Breakfast is good but I didn't try dinner. Breakfast is served on roof stage and it has Burdur Lake view. I can recommend this hotel for your business trip. Meeting facilities were good enough.
- mselam (10/5): Best place to stay - Near all important sites to visit. The archeological museum, nature history museum. Sagalassos antique city.
Clean and comfortable rooms with A/C.
Minibar, hairdryer included in all rooms.
Very reasonable prices for room service food.
- markgZ2574VV (8/5): Business stay - Yet another one night business stay. Arrived very late and virtually had to wake the receptionist up. Room was very nice at the front of the hotel but was a bit noisy from road traffic to be honest. Good comfortable bed and great shower (which are the most essential things of all !). Breakfast was ok.
- bessf0nes (8/5): Best Bet in Burdur - I stayed at the Grand Ozeren Hotel in Burdur and as a single female traveler I was quite comfortable and felt safe. I was told it is the best hotel in town. Because of Burdur's marble industry it's usually busy with businessmen related to that industry.
There is a spa and a nice rooftop restaurant where you will have the lavish spread of the typical Turkish breakfast with varieties of cheeses, breads and simit (the Turkish bagel), wonderful Turkish honey, and many other healthy sides. From the rooftop you can see Burdur, a very ancient town with a sadly common modern concrete-block core juxtaposed to the fascinating small, and partially restored ancient town winding up the hill to the rebuilt 13th Grand Mosque. The empty Greek Orthodox church was restored and opened in 2014 as a natural history museum in the former Greek quarter behind the police station.
Burdur will hopefully thrive in the future and become more tourist friendly due to its proximity to the fantastic ancient ruins at Sagalassos. Give it a chance--there is a lot to see in and around Burdur city and province.
- cavdararda (8/5): Perfect Place for One Night Stop - This place is a perfect stop especially for business travelers. Super fast internet connection, wonderful understanding of SPA and Turkish Bath till 00:00am. If you are tired during your vacation, do not hesitate to visit Grand Ozeren Spa Hotel. You won't regret it...
- stuffmatters (6/5): A typical small town business hotel. Average but options in Burdur are limited - Grand Ozeren is nothing special but perfectly adequate as a one night stop on the Cappadocia / coast route.
Burdur itself is really only worth a stop because of a) the local archeological museum that is small but well presented with some great pieces including the heads featured in the British Museum Hadrian Exhibition and b) being 45 mins or so from Sagalassos, a really great site to visit.
Grand Ozerens bread and butter is primarily as a business travellers hotel. It does however have wifi, reasonably clean rooms, lift access to floors and a restaurant. Manage your expectations appropriately!
- BentCopenhagen (6/5): Faded stars - For a visit to the extraordinary archaeological sites of Kibyra and Sagalassos, and to the beautiful museum of Burdur with its incredible treasures from those two sites and other places, we had chosen to stay at the four star hotel Gran Özeren in Burdur. Our expectations for a good hotel were quickly dashed when entering the lobby, where the small reception part was dominated by a huge and ill fitting chandelier, whereas the rest of the lobby was uninviting and dark. The two panoramic lifts were facing spooky looking dark floor landings and staircases with hardly any light and gave the association to ascending or descending a mine shaft. Finding the room was a task of its own, since the floor lights were out apart from the bulbs just outside the lift. After complaining to the front desk, the automatic lights were activated.
The room was large and adequately furnished, and the air conditioning well-functioning. The TV needed 2 remote controls for operation, and their function remained a mystery. The bed side lamps were far above from the beds and of the economizing sort making it impossible to read in bed. The carpet, fitting to the heavy style of the room, bore marks of long use.
The bathroom had been modernized and was equipped with a nice shower cabin, which must have replaced the old bathtub. However, leaks from some of the installations left water along the edge of the floor, and the walls in the bedroom to the bathroom were damaged by humidity coming from the bathroom.
As the hotel had the only restaurant within miles, serving alcohol, according to the information from the reception, we had dinner at the top floor of the hotel; a dreary looking restaurant, where we could fortunately have tables at the outside terrace. The food was OK, but the kitchen was out of such basic ingredients as vegetables and rice. The wine available was undrinkable and was rejected. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, which was very reasonable, was a buffet breakfast with the usual ingredients.
Unfortunately it seems to be the best hotel in Burdur, so no alternative for visitors.
For visitors to Sagalassos it should, however, be mentioned that a nice looking hotel, Sagalassos Lodge, has opened few months ago. That hotel seems to be very nice indeed, situated in an isolated place on the access road to Sagalassos, between the town of Aglasun and the ruins of Sagalassos.
- akselk (4/5): Grand Disappointment Hotel - May have seen far better days. The corridors, atrium and lobby are lit using night lights and you can barely find your way to the room because it is so dark. Bed sheets have holes in them, room carpet has stains, beds uncomfortable. Restaurant is a disaster. Wine is not worth trying, stale food served cold, they "ran out" of basic staples like rice and vegetables.
Has spotty WiFi though. Note this is a dry town so if you want a drink any place other than the uncharming hotel restaurant, prepare to drive at least 15 minutes.
- unsleepy (6/5): just for one night ok - I was not expecting a good place to accommodate during my travel, but this hotel as fine to stay during long road travels. I stayed as bed and breakfast. The breakfast was not superb was it was moderate. But it was noisy, since it is located on one of the main roadside.
- Monsoonman (8/5): An unexpected pleasure - Visiting this small town for the first time, we did not expect too much in the way of accommodation so it was an unexpected pleasure to find that this hotel was so comfortable with pleasant and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and the food was very good. The price of the evening meal was very reasonable considering the quality of the food.
Burdur itself is a nice little town with an interesting museum and the nearby Insuyu cave is not to be missed.
Just one criticism of this hotel which is something that seems to becoming common in many places these days and that is the use of sensor lights in the corridors. While I do understand the reasons for this, if the sensors don't operate correctly, it is not very welcoming to be standing in a dark corridor in a strange building. Just a small point, but one I felt I should make.
We would have no hesitation in staying here again.
- hakans993 (10/5): excellent hotel - i would highly recommend this hotel...ask for Kemal or Soner when you arrive,,,very helpful and always ready to serve your needs.....i was delighted i stayed in July 2011
