patricia (9/5): Séjour au bord du lac de Bafa - La pension est un peu isolée, après le village de Kapikiri, Waze nous y a amené directement. Vue magnifique sur le lac, nous étions les seuls clients. Les propriétaires ont été au petit soin avec nous, nous avons pu diner sur place (pas de restaurant à proximité), avec un délicieux poisson du lac. Chambre pas très grande mais confortable pour la nuit. . Chauffage avec une pompe à chaleur dans la chambre (il faisait frais la nuit !) et couette très chaude. Pour le petit-déjeuner, nous avons eu un choix varié et copieux de petits plats fabriqués sur place. Accès facile à pied pour la plage ou pour visiter le site de Héraklée reparti à plusieurs endroits du village. Aucun problème de sécurité, les gens aux alentours sont très gentils. RAS

Appartamento semplice, ma a dimensione familiare, molto pulito e con un terrazzino che ci ha regalato una splendida vista sul monastero bizantino e sul cielo stellato. Divya (9/5): Lovely family-run B&B - The family who run the hotel were lovely hosts, and very helpful. Our room was large and had all the comforts we needed. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. The hotel is just a few steps from the beach, and within walking distance to both the castle ruins and the Heraklion ruins in Kapakiri. There is plenty of parking space within the courtyard. There are no elevators, so you do have to carry any luggage up a few stairs to reach your room.

The owners are very friendly and like to help you as much as they can. Offered us a 1.5hr boat trip in their own boat (at a cost). We'll worth it. Beds a little hard for me.

Mike (8/5): Fantastic place. Great hosts. A little pricey for food. - The location is fantastic. It is a bit remote, but right on the edge of Lake Bafa, in a rural setting - with chickens, cows in the neighbouring properties. Certainly an 'away from it all' experience. Because we stayed for 4 nights we had a free boat trip around the lake, which was very interesting and scenic. It is an important ancient site, with many ruins and old castles to look at. Very few tourists. Tamer, our host, was very friendly and great company over a beer in the evening. His wife is a good cook and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed. We also met a retired archaelogist, Kerem, who was great fun and very knowledgeable about the pre-christian era. Such good company. Breakfast was good, but the evening meals were quite simple - tasty but not to the standard you would usually expect for the price. Set dinner is advertised as £12 per person, but we ended up being charged £15 per head. Prices of all beverages is also relatively high, and the prices charged are not the same as the ones written on the board behind the bar. There is no local shop or mini market that you can walk to - so you are a bit 'captive' to buying everything from the pension. I don't think it would be a problem if you are travelling with your own car.

Maria (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel is very basic but very clean and in my view it is expensive for what it offers. For example there were no insect repellent devices in the room as a result we could not sleep because of the mosquitoes. It isn’t acceptable to say that the hotel is near the lake and it is expected there are mosquitoes in the rooms. Also the room had a kitchenette but not any utensils not even two clean glasses to drink from or any bottled water which is standard in Turkey. For breakfast you have to pay for the coffee and orange juice and this was very expensive. This info was not on the website. For example there were no insect repellent devices in the room as a result we could not sleep because of the mosquitoes. It isn’t acceptable to say that the hotel is near the lake and it is expected there are mosquitoes in the rooms. Also the room had a kitchenette but not any utensils not even two clean glasses to drink from or any bottled water which is standard in Turkey. For breakfast you have to pay for the coffee and orange juice and this was very expensive. This info was not on the website.

Yury (10/5): Magnificent pastoral - This is a calm family hotel ashore Bafa lake. Honestly we didn't expect a lot from a pension in a heart of a Turkey village but this one is a real pearl. The hosts are so friendly and do very much work to make your stay comfortable, great thanks for that! We had a really good room (with a large bed and a balcony viewing the lake), breakfasts and dinners were so tasty, and the location of the hotel allowed us to start journeys right from its doors. The staff knows English very well (believe me, when you travel in a village, it matters a lot). A special note for people who come here for rock climbing: you may take crash pads and a climbing guidebook in the hotel, and the owner knows the area and can give you some advises. And it's 10-15 minutes of walk to the closest bouldering sector. Summing up, I can say that we really liked both the hotel and Kapikiri in general, and we will be happy to return here again. Wi-Fi isn't strong and the connection may be lost in distant rooms (but when you are here, you don't need it). Furniture is old and tired a bit.

Katarzyna (8/5): Beautiful place surrounded with nature - The place is located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature in a beautiful place. There are no shops, no bars etc around. This makes the place perfect for a quick stop when you are looking to rest a bit, re-charge or stay longer surrounded by nature. The room was modest but provided everything we needed. We got a room with a lake view at no additional charge. There is a restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake at the hotel. Bad wifi connection anywhere but the restaurant/reception area. We had to do some work while traveling, so found it a bit of a challenge.
Verified traveler (6/5): Fantastic scenery, shame about the hotel - Evening meal is poor, although on hindsight the poor quality is reflected in the price. At 11:48 the next morning the owner / manager burst in the bedroom door without knocking asking if we wanted to stay another night. Just as well we were packing and not up to........

Pascale (8/5): Très Bien - Séjour un peu particulier. Nous n'avons pas été très bien accueillis à notre arrivée, puis un gros orage s'est abattu sur le secteur coupant l'électricité et l'eau jusqu'à notre départ. A partir de là, une autre personne de la pension, peut être le propriétaire, s'est occupé de nous et on a presque eu l'impression de faire parti de la famille. Il nous a servi un repas froid comme il a pu à la lueur d'une bougie, procuré de l'eau de la piscine pour les WC et de l'eau en bidon pour la toilette et nous a bien conseillé pour les balades à faire autour du lac BAFA. Le logement était très propre réveil avec le coq à 5h du matin

Location, beyond perfect! Every day was complete with stunning views, with the mountains in the background and the lake stretching out into the distance. The food cooked here was excellent, never left the table hungry. My partner and I will return to this location, without doubt. Elaine & Philip.
