Joseph (4/5): Not as advertised, and disappointing - The Wainwright Inn is okay, but not what you see advertised on travel and booking websites. The photos on those sites bear little resemblance to the actual inn. And I'm surprised it gets rave reviews. It looks like it hasn't had a paint job in 30 years, and when we told the proprietor that the air conditioning wasn't working, he said, "yes, it is."It wasn't and he later fixed it. Breakfast was fine, but overall, a disappointment.
Beane (6/5): You get - Acceptable bkfast and location. Interior rooms and furnishings on the ground floor were very well matched and gave a great period vibe. Abandoned home in the back yard. Overgrown vegetation in the side yard and flower garden. Multiple flowers growing up out of the back parking lot. Front porch had all the chairs on one side of the door and none on the other ? Shower curtain inadequate alignment to contain water in tub and blocked access to the controls. Morning traffic noise thru single pane glass windows eliminated any risk of sleeping late. Bureau hidden away in an unfinished closet.

Jiang (1/5): 太差了都没有入住就直接走了换别的酒店了安全措施这么差万一晚上来个不法分子叫天天不应 - 这是民宿不是酒店上楼的楼梯都结了蜘蛛网马桶看上去像发霉没有安全意识一个由外面上的楼梯直通房间一间收费200多美元的房间里面还有一间房是房东放毛巾之类的洗手间很小

The room was spacious and comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast was incredible, always garnished with herbs fresh from the garden. It's on a busier street, but nothing compared to a big city.

Well-maintained building. Comfortable bed and nice-sized room. Breakfast was excellent and it was fun talking with the owner and his wife over breakfast. Location is right in Great Barrington. Everything was perfect.
William (4/5): Disappointing - The steps were very icy. Instruction on entering was not good. "DELUX QUEEN" room was ver small. TV was tiny and inaudible. Fire exit on second floor was locked making us feel unsafe but the staff/owners were short with me l about a problem and mis-communication about what doorvwe should use to get in that we were reluctant to bring it up. The mauve bathroom fixtures from the 60s could have been considered camp but I don't think it was intended.

Property spacious with lots of areas for private visits with friends (porches, indoor side sitting rooms). Our room was on 3rd floor. Quiet. Would have liked stronger wifi, connections for technology could have been better. More availability to self serve tea, coffee, milk etc No choice for full breakfast, one option per morning. No room servicing during 2 nt stay.
Robin (10/5): Friendly classic B&B well placed for Berkshires - Very relaxing stay at friendly classic B&B with good access to shops and restaurants in towns, and to the countryside of the Berkshires. Not for you if you want all modern facilities and lots of choice at breakfast. For example on first morning, breakfast was buttermilk pancakes with bacon (and fruit and maple syrup) - delicious, and we really enjoyed not having to choose from a long list!
