Guest Reviews
- Ronnie (8/5): Over all the Inn was very nice. Loved that it was quite - Was there a breakfast? The coffee maker was dirty it still had a coffee pod in it. I felt the room was very small for 2 people. Also on Sunday morning 8Am my husband got locked out of the building when he went to get coffee when he returned the key pad said it had expired! Thank goodness I was still in the room.
- Sara (8/5): Such a sweet, little town with delicious coffee, restaurants, shops, and an adorable historic hotel. - Comfy bed, good location We could hear everything in our room…bring ear plugs.
- Cathy (4/5): I will never stay here again - no food available for breakfast, I had to walk 3 blocks to a coffee shop no one told me there were 3 flights of stairs to my room. The room had no closet and was facing a VERY noisy street
- Terri (8/5): Very nice accommodations with a couple of caveats - Well renovated room. Very clean. Would like to see the carpet replaced with wood or quality vinyl flooring. Carpet in bedroom area.
No closet.
Outside stairs that were quite steep.
- Erin (10/5): If you are looking for a place to stay as you enjoy the heart of the Rogue Valley, this should be at the top of your lis - The property was beautifully designed and centrally located. Communication with the property was exceptional.
- DENNIS (8/5): -
- Kenneth (8/5): Had a nice time with staff and customers - Location Small

- LeAnne (9/5): Right in the heart of Jacksonville, a clean comfortable stay. - I’ve stayed here several times now and love its location and comfortable beds. Easy entry, and complementary coffee+ from local cafe. The rates keep climbing and this stay had louder guests than I’ve experienced previously.
- Greg (9/5): -
- James (8/5): Fun weekend in an historic pioneer town. - Loved the efficient check in-out system. Great location. Small but nice room. WiFi signal too weak to use.
Mattress was too soft.
- Gina (10/5): -
- Donato (7/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): It was an excellent experience to explore historic Jacksonville.I can’t wait to come back! - The historic building was located right downtown overlooking the main road with easy access to shopping, dining and our concert at the Britt.

- Jeff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pep (10/5): Exceptional - Well-appointed room and friendly people. Terrific restoration of this hotel. Loved arriving and enjoying the wine bar cocktails and breakfast offerings.
- Leslye (7/5): Nice. - Location, decor, overall look, comfy bed, Stairwells everywhere. No in person customer service. Made it a bit confusing especially for breakfast or trying to utilize the lounge area. We were told we couldn’t sit with friends and share a bottle of wine (even offered to pay corkage)later on they realized we were guests and did apologize but it was too late. Just a lack of connection with the hotel guests and the amenities.
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Cathleen (10/5): We’ll be back! - Right in town, clean, nice layout, great charcuterie breakfast, good free glass of champagne, wonderful bartender (Loren?) Stairs. I’m handicapped but did manage the stairs, albeit slowly
- Don (10/5): Exceptional - The renovation of the Inn was fantastic. The room details exceeded examples of many fine hotels. The amenities matched that of a 4 star hotel. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, I got the savory choice, my wife got the sweet. The self check-in was a bit awkward at first.
- Vesta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pam (10/5): Lovely hotel in a perfect location! - Location, cleanliness of room, great service from gal at breakfast!
- James (9/5): We will be back. - Breakfast was great! We didn’t get her name, but the woman who worked Friday evening in the lounge and Saturday morning at breakfast was excellent! Couldn’t figure out how to turn the television so we could watch from the bed.
- Teresa (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway - The Historic Jacksonville in is old and beautiful. Rooms are clean and the town and surrounding area have much to see. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely charcuterie. And the staff were delightful!
- Nancy (10/5): The perfect place to celebrate my birthday! - Comfortable room -conveniently located to shops and restaurants - wonderful complimentary breakfast! Would definitely stay there again. Nothing!
- Colton (10/5): Fantastic - Of course the nice room and the wine and live music.
- Gary (10/5): Everything was well thought. -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morales (10/5): Exceptional - Plug ins
- Jeffrey (7/5): Good - Great old building in the heart of downtown. Too many stairs, bed too soft and comforter was so thick I was hot trying to sleep. Room was a little tight too.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (9/5): The very cozy room was perfect for a one night stay. - The location was great for walking around Jacksonville. Loved the historic building. Room was on the small side. The noise from other guests in the hallway was quite loud. No gluten free breakfast options.
- Rv8iator (9/5): Marvelous, tasteful and well appointed in the heart of Jacksonville. - Located in the old downtown of Jacksonville a perfect central location for shops, restaurants, museums and parks. All within a short walk.
Very comfortable room. Modern yet with the charm of the old building in which it is a part. Comfortable bed and bed clothes. Quiet. Large shower! Brilliant coffee maker with excellent coffee in roo. Fabulous wine bar with a very good selection of Oregon wines. Very good restaurant on premises. We had a lovely meal of pork chop and brussel sprout salad. Delicious local Pinot Noir and luxurious chocolate dessert. We were recently introduced to no host check-in. Not a fan. Though our issues received prompt attention and resolution, I had trouble using the keyless door locks.
- Markus (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (5/5): Passable - Location No view and very noisy.
- John (5/5): Probably would not stay again. - Great location. Steep stairs to the rooms. Digital lock did not always work. Room was small with poor seating.
- Janine (10/5): We can’t wait to come back - This property is so lovely! We enjoyed it so much and will definitely be back! It was so beautiful and comfortable and the location is awesome! Nothing
- Lorejie (9/5): Excellent stay! - Although the building is historic in its own, the rooms were newly renovated and nicely restored. The bed was very comfortable, and the room we stayed in has a touch of charm. I think all the rooms have their own unique style and a combination of modern and historical. Breakfast was included, but during our stay, their fryer broke so they provided us a voucher for a full breakfast to the nearby GoodBean Coffee Shop. The location of this inn is right at the center of the Jacksonville Old Town so every cute little shop is walking distance. The complimentary champagne drink was a nice treat at their wine shop, just within the building. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely consider booking here again in the future visit. None
- Autumn (6/5): Probably won’t stay here again unless they fix their self check in issues. - Everything was great except… We couldn’t check in when we arrived. We received no code to get into our room and ended up having to bother the girl working the wine bar because we had no other recourse. She called her manager who said the reason we couldn’t check into our room because we hadn’t paid for our room. We went through booking.com and they took my payment information so I had no idea there was any problem. After talking to her manager for several minutes the girl who worked at the wine bar had her manager send me a text and an email with our code in it. I received no email, only a text, that said my code was the last four digits of my phone number but that didn’t work. And when I got on the phone with the manager I decided to just ask her for the code and she got all snappy with me and reiterated that it’s in the email we sent you! I received no email! I only received a text which I read carefully and didn’t have a code in it, at least not one that worked! I could have done without the snark. If I was a mean person that manager would have gotten an earful from me. As it was I was travel weary and just wanted to get into my room. Bottom line? They need to streamline their self checkout. And that manager whoever she was, should learn to talk to customers with some respect and not treat them like they have done something wrong when as far as I can see the problem was wholly on her end. I loved the hotel but it was frustrating to never know if I’m going to be able to get back into my room or not when I leave it. I never received any kind of apology either. The lady from the wine bar was wonderful, she went above and beyond to assist even though it wasn’t her job to do so. She just happened to be the only person around I could talk to.
- Zelinn (10/5): Britt Festival Vacation - Clean, Comfortable, Great location. Love the style of the interior decor 😍 Not enough coffee in our room.
- Carla (8/5): Very clean rooms and a great location. - The room was nice and large. I have never stayed where we checked in on our own. I was a little worried at first anticipating key code problems or things like that, but we had no issues at all. I understand that it is a historic building but we would have given it an excellent if there had been more power outlets. It was difficult to access the outlets behind the bed which left us with having to keep our phones across the room. I wouldn't be comfortable with this setup especially if I had left children behind at home and feared that I could miss a message or phone call. The coffee was great but with the 4 pods that were there for us to use, three of them were decaf. Both my husband and I would have enjoyed both having a cup of coffee in the morning.
- Colleen (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Angel (9/5): Superb -
- Karla (8/5): Very good - The bed was very comfortable. The room was comfortable and tv was easy to use. The shower was a very tight fit. As a senior, the stairs were difficult to manage. Entry system may need more info on how to get into hotel.
- Stephanie (10/5): Relaxing - The staff were amazing It was so clean
- Meghan (8/5): Really cute town. Cute places, but be ready for stairs if you have loads of luggage. - It was self check which took some time to figure out. There are no humans on site and actually we never saw another sole.
- Erika (8/5): Very good - Such a great historic building.Very friendly staff. No regular chairs in the room.No historical facts anywhere that I could find! There must be some stories on an inn that old!
- Joyce (9/5): We arrived, and made last minute reservations to the restaurant downstairs, absolutely delicious. The room was beautiful - Comfortable, clean, great location. A little pricey
- Helen (5/5): Beautiful rooms, steep stairs. Warning re: lugging your luggage. - Beautiful and cozy rooms, nicely appointed. However, no where did I pick up that it was going to be such a climb up steep stairs. As a result, we were unable to take our luggage to the rooms, and ended up not even bathing before we left, early the next morning. Such a major disappointment. Big bold print in the information about the location of the rooms. Warning about the stairs. I would never have booked the rooms had I known this.
- Vanessa (10/5): Can't wait to stay here again! - Awesome!! Great gem of a hotel!
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zach (8/5): Very good -
- Leanne (9/5): Sweet dreams with song in beautiful historic Jacksonville. - I enjoyed a very comfortable sleep. The pillows were perfect. Perfect location near the shops and restaurants, very tastefully furnished. The coupon for pastry and drink at nearby cafe were great as well. I was texted the info to check in by the co-host, unfortunately my text had the wrong room listed and I spent quite awhile trying to get into the wrong room, when I finally spoke with the host it was easy to access. Also, my room ended up being above a music show, I could hear and enjoy the songs. I found this pleasant as they didn’t go too late but I know others that would not have appreciated this.
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was great . Room was well equipped and really clean. Location in town perfect. Nothing
- Smaranita (10/5): Loved everything- from self check in with the code, to parking and the amazing rooms - Loved the rooms, ambience and the aesthetics and self check in without the lobby. We also liked the fact we got food coupons at the good bean cafe
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Avis (4/5): Wish I had read the very small print hidden to know how difficult this place was to manage. - Location. Bed is comfortable and bathroom products were nice. No elevator, no help. We are in our eighties and had to carry luggage up and down three flights of stairs. Couldn't get any help. This is a Vrbo type facility NOT a hotel. The room is very very small for two people to navigate with two large suitcases. TV was a challenge to operate. Booking charged almost twice as much as hotel website advertised.
- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monique (10/5): style. comfort. location. - style. comfort. location.
- Sally (9/5): Stylishly updated hotel in historic gold rush town - Updated with raw brick walls and quirky western design references.
Very comfortable bed and linens.
High quality toileteries
Great in room Nespresso
Electric kettle (and many other amenities) available to guests in a free self help cupboard outside the room.
Generous welcome drink in downstairs bar and coffee and voucher at local breakfast spot.
In all fantastic value and a great place to stay in this lovely town. No reception desk (though lovely lady at downstairs bar was able to talk us through the entry process when our phones had failed us)
Shower great once I had worked out that the door opens OUTWARDS!
Traffic noise from main road started at 5am despite insulated windows. Take earplugs.
- Teriece (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (10/5): Great location just we’re your running shoes!!! - Cute roomy adorable The stairs!!! It’s not for the faint of heart
- Kristin (9/5): Jacksonville is a charming town. - Beautiful. Great wine bar and restaurant downstairs. No elevator.
- Sandy (5/5): Passable -
- Monica (8/5): we did what we wanted to do stay in a historic town and place..thank you - we liked the historic hotel, the location, enjoyed talking with staff person, code check in and out convenient, self serve linen closet was convenient, loved the sheets, comfy bed and pillows, room was remodeled nicely and kept in style with the period, coffee shop coupons were good idea. We know it takes a lot to upgrade a historic property and keep it personal not corporate. rooms (assuming they are all small) more surface area to put luggage etc or 2 luggage racks instead of 1, no coffee machine. A common area instead giving the rooms more space and a place where guests can gather as rooms are small and the town closes 8 pm ish. rm #2 carpet needs cleaned.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Anjanette (8/5): Comfortable Victorian room - The Victorian feel of the room, and how cozy it felt. No staff contact, very little water pressure in the shower.
- Katherine (9/5): Charming place , easy access and great location and affordable plus free parking. - The room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable and those were the best sheets ever. Loved the code entry as well as the free champagne. I wish there had been a fan or some ability to open the window. I was very hot at night.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -

- Tony (9/5): Beautiful King Suite with an awesome bath and unbeatable location. - They have done an excellent job, putting together a beautiful space located right in the middle of downtown Jacksonville. Loved the copper bath and decor. There was a blue light on the AC unit that made it a little difficult to sleep.
- Mallory (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Clean, super cute rooms and great location! Everything was amazing except the only downfall, the walls are very very thin. I could hear the entire conversation the people were having in the room next to ours.
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valerie (9/5): We would return but choose different restaurants for dining. - Room was spacious with comfortable bed and nice decor. Would have liked a full breakfast rather than just coffee and pastry
