Kenneth (8/5): Great place to stay at the beach. - Great location. The funicular was also great - saves climbing ~60 steps on the way up to the inn. Bryan was great company and very helpful. Breakfast was quite tasty and we enjoyed getting to know our host and fellow guests. Bryan checked our room as we were leaving and brought us a laptop charging cable we had left behind. Thank you! The accommodations were fine, but we expected things to be a little higher end based on the price and property description.
Christie (7/5): Very nice For the location with several walkable restaurants and eateries . Host was nice and easy to communicate with. - We lived the location that was across the street from B& B. With a beautiful view as well from front porch . The gathering quarters were clean quiet and comfortable. The host was nice and the entire facilities were clean. It was a nice touch he offered beach equipment and towels and offered a decent breakfast and coffee in the morning. He was readily available for communication. And there were walkable eateries from B& B. Our bed was uncomfortable. The room was very small. We looked in on some of the other rooms and they were much nicer. Roomy and better aesthetics , better bathroom facilities, however not sure how this was reflected in price so perhaps these rooms were pricier. Not sure. We felt like our room was a bit pricey for what we got but he did give us a small discount being we didn't need the additional small kid area since we were traveling as a couple. The only other advice I'd give would be to purchase white towels so that they can be sanitized properly and a nicer touch and ask guests about room temps being comfortable.

The place was clean & tidy the carpet in the entrance had some stains but the rooms and the house in general was tidy. Verified traveler (8/5): Charming property, good service, but could improve - Looking Glass Beachfront Inn is a charming old house with an excellent location and great views. The owner is very nice and accommodating. The property however is somewhat outdated (even given its age) and could use a bit more TLC - at least when it comes to small details like patio furniture, missing window screen, not so clean bathroom fans, spider webs and dead insects by the windows. The owners could also be more generous with a number of bathroom towels they provide, as the towels simply don't get a chance to fully dry between an evening and a morning shower. The breakfast selection could be better too giving a rather high price tag per night for this property.

He asked about the diet and accommodated us both days for breakfast. This wasn't necessary but a real nice touch. He was also helpful with things to do and stuff to see in the area. The room was clean and the property was beautiful. I would highly recommend this stay.

There are stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor, but a lovely trolley with a view from the street to the home. It's on a dune, across from Grand Haven State Park with gorgeous views from the large deck (some shade/some sun), including the pier and lighthouse. Brian was very attentive and welcoming, and made a terrific breakfast. They also had snacks and soft drinks available, and even a refrigerator for guests to use. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves . . . I hope to return again soon!
Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was very nice. It is up on a hill, but there is an electric carrier that you can sit in with your luggage and it will carry you up to the top. There are many stairs to climb if you'd like, but I'd make sure it's not with luggage. The rooms are on the small size, but decorated very nicely. Very comfortable beds. The deck area outside is amazing! Very large with comfortable seating. It faces the lake, and provides a very beautiful view, especially at sunset! This B&B is a little different than others I have been at, as it provides complimentary little snack items, soda, water, carbonated water etc.. all found in the kitchen. They provide a nice sized refrigerator to store any of your leftovers from dinners you've had, bottles of wine etc.. The breakfasts were a little different. Brian did a wonderful job providing options of breads, muffins, juice, cereal, fruit etc.. he did make some good casseroles, but as a whole, I think he should stick to basic casseroles. It is wonderful to get creative, but I feel the majority of people like breakfast items that are simple. You can always add items on top of an egg casserole, but once it's baked in, you can't take them out. He was obliging and made some eggs for a guest that wasn't a meat eater. Stay at LG B&B you won't be disappointed.

Right by the beach, but up on a hill so you’ve got a very nice overlook. Brian was great and provided some great dinner recommendations.
