- Janet (10/5): Close, clean, friendly staff, friendly guests, easy access, loved it! - The best breakfast ever at a B&B Can’t think of a thing!
- Robert (10/5): If you want to go back in time, and be surrounded by beautiful, old Florida this is the place. - The breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit with yogurt, carrot cake muffins, and an egg, ham, and cheese croissant. It was just right. The small, personal dining room is set with vintage china. The furniture is all vintage oak. It is very cozy. This was our first time staying in the Herlong Suite, and it was breathtakingly beautiful. Open the glass doors and walk right out onto the huge upstairs balcony. I am not aware of any other place like it. This was our second stay at the Herlong Mansion. I can honestly say that there is nothing I did not like. This is a historical monument circa 1845, so there's not a lot of dazzling electronics, no in-room TV's or telephones, just nice, quiet, comfortable surroundings. There are fresh flowers in the lobby every day, and the staff is just amazing.
- Daniel (10/5): Great! - Kim was a great hostess! A historic and very comfortable B&B!
- Joel (10/5): Amazing Mansion, outstanding service. - It keeps every promise it makes about the flair, the Charme, the vibe etc.
- Scott (10/5): We'll be back! :-) - Breakfast and the home itself. Loved the atmosphere and old Florida feel. A little pricey, but to be expected. We also booked on short notice.
- Robert (10/5): Great place to stay in just want to relax - Breakfast was delicious location is wonderful Our first night we had a very small bedroom and the bed was not in great shape. The second night we switched rooms and had a wonderful room. Everyone there is very nice, and the owner came from the town of Davie just like me.
- Steven (9/5): A most Wonderful Experience - The staff and Owner Kim were all great and the history and charm of the house was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back and visit again. Typical older antebellum home. Low water pressure but, not a big problem. Showers had plenty of pressure and were great with plenty of hot water.
- Mark & Luciana (10/5): Like going back in time. Would definitely go back - Quiet, full of history, delicious breakfast. Room and decor very nice and original.
- Wilson (7/5): -
- Jacqueline (7/5): Way overpriced! - Breakfast was simple but savory. The room we had reserved through Booking.com had no windows at all. This is not mentioned in the room description. The owner offered to upgrade for a steep price, which we had to accept.
Even though we requested a room on the 2d floor, our room was on the 3rd floor (though 2d floor was free).
No decorations in the room, very basic furniture.
- Egger (10/5): - Wunderbares altes Südstaatenhaus mit viel Charme. Eine herzliche Besitzerin , welche sich persönlich um ihre Gäste kümmert. Sehr gutes Frühstück.
- Jeff (8/5): Our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed the stay - Location for our plans to do the antique stores and Paynes prairie hiking Everything was very nice
- Susan (10/5): Nostalgic mansion. - A lovely nostalgic mansion.
- Bev (7/5): You will love it there .. Ask questions before booking - Great location, friendly staff , lovely coffee and wine service, clean and beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was delicious. I would have liked a choice of rooms . 3rd floor for us and my husband is 86 yrs . The bed was a double and hard as a rock. We would love to go back but not that room !!
- Anne (4/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): - Very clean and well maintained property. Loved the old charm and historical style.
- Robert (8/5): Relaxing -
- Gordon (10/5): -
- Miller (4/5): Not impressed for the money spent. - House was beautiful as well as the grounds around it. Breakfast was a disappointment. 3 pieces of French toast and small portion of fruit. Also was given one small piece of sausage. Other B&B's we have visited make the breakfast a memorable experience. Would suggest a large Southern style breakfast to make your guest remember their stay.
Also upon arrival we were informed that we had booked our stay through a booking app and that they book people in a room without windows. We were offered a room with windows for an $60.00 upcharge which we did take. Upcharge seems a bit much just for windows.
- Zimpleman (10/5): Exceptional - This is a charming historic home in Micanopy with very comfortable accommodations. The veranda was my favorite part. We got to sit out there on the swing listening to a rain storm before bed and again to watch the sunrise. Our host was very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and the inn is right there in the middle of everything. We walked to lunch, went to all the shops and just had a nice relaxing trip.
- Randy (10/5): relaxing old Florida - like old Florida, snacks, drinks 24 hrs a day, exceptional dining recommendations
- Michael (10/5): Historic town and mansion. Good people - Kim took good care of us. place was all I hoped for.
- Tracy (5/5): Passable - The house was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. The rooms were clean The owner is a bit pretentious. She looked at us like we were bothering her. When we got there we were told one of the rooms had no windows but we could get a room with a window for an upgrade. I feel like this is something that should be stated on the site. Maybe it was and I missed it, not sure. The breakfast was not good. Part of the experience of going to a bed and breakfast is the wonderful Homemade food. This was far from homemade.
- Jean (7/5): Uniquely beautiful property but our room did not reflect the price paid for our stay. - Beautiful property. The house is stunning and the location is beautiful and very interesting. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Pump House because I have difficulty climbing stairs. So it was easy to access and served its purpose. It was quiet and comfortable. However for the price, it was very basic and small.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marty (10/5): Exceptional - excellent
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- SanJoseMarieb (10/5): A delightful stay in a beautiful setting. - What a beautiful Estate! Enjoy your afternoon wine, rocking on the veranda, admiring the huge oak tree with lots of moss hanging elegantly. I enjoyed my morning hot tea in the same setting after I had a luxurious bubble bath in my claw foot bathtub. The breakfast they serve you is most filling and delicious. Herlong Mansion is a great spot to end your day of exploring the historic town of Micanopy with all of its antique stores and craft shows. It’s also only 8 miles to the Yearling restaurant where you can enjoy gator bites or frog legs (my favorite) and take a tour of Marjorie Rawlings State Park. Kim, the owner, goes out of her way to make your stay perfect. While I was there, they had a family reunion and the guest came from all over. Great idea for this. Pearl, the restaurant at the end of the street has outstanding barbecue but warning… Share because they give you more than enough. I heard the pizza place was very good too.
- melissatC9160ND (4/5): Not the best first visit to a Bed and Breakfast - My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Herlong Mansion March 2024. Communication before we arrived was very good. We stayed in the Carriage House which we liked alot. The mansion is beautiful! When we got there to check in at the time they asked us to be there, the receptionist was not very friendly. We orginially thought she was an employee but was actually the owner. She told us breakfast would be served from 8:30-9:30 with juice and coffee available at 8. We got there at 9 and two other couples had been waiting. No one showed up and we got concerned about the owner who lived on the property. We were worried something was wrong with her and even knocked on her door to see if she was ok. There was no answer to our phone calls or knocks. At 10:30 an employee showed up and was also concerned. She called the owner who answered the very first time but answered none of our calls or texts. She apologized for the owner and said she was sick. We went about our day since she was sick but didn't get breakfast. The next morning we go down for breakfast and the owner was there. She never addressed what happened or even apologized. When understand that people get sick but she should have a backup plan and if not at least apologize for what happened the previous day. Breakfast was waffles, a hard piece of bacon and dry sausage and some fresh fruit. She was very short with us and even a guest who checked in after the previous days events mentioned how unfriendly she was. This bed and breakfast was not cheap at $300 a night and we expected better service and at least an apology. I am hoping after this event she will have a plan in place should she be sick and unable to attend to her guest.
- Greg (9/5): Good romantic getaway ($$) - You should know going in that in order to go out for lunch or dinner you are traveling away from micanopy. 15 minutes to a lot of regular type restaurants. But that is sort of the charm of the place is that it is set in a small town.
The breakfast itself was just okay with just a few pieces of fruit as a garnish. The breakfast pie was decent but not great. The cinnamon roll was delicious. The assortment of coffees from Sam's was unspectacular. But you can sit where you want and we chose the porch on a nice cool morning. It is always difficult for me to pay a quarter of my mortgage for one night stay somewhere. However, the Mansion itself is beautiful and well taken care of and the room was pretty good. The staff is excellent
- Jeannie (1/5): Disappointing & inadequate with false advertising. - Breakfast poor presentation & not tasty. Very limited.
Room tiny & claustrophic with poor ventilation.
Told up a few stairs but actually 2 short flights & one long staircase with bannister on only one side. My husband has mobility problems & they assured us it was just a few steps. No one helped with luggage. It was so bad we checked out after one night tho paid for two. We would like a refund for the second night after bring up and unable to sleep the first night. A better room on lower floor that really was Queen size & worth almost $300 per night.
- Mcgregor (9/5): Superb - Pearl restaurant
- John (2/5): Ugh!!!! - I reserved my reservation through Bookings.com. I was unaware of that. I thought I was going through the hotel. I was given a room with no window. My wife and I have never been assigned a room with no window. I had to change and the total cost to me was $400.00 plus. We had stayed at the Herlong Mansion before and had a good time in a fun town but we will never stay there again. Make sure you get the hotel website and not a booking agency. The room they assigned us.
- Maureen (8/5): A great home base for exploring the area. - Beautiful home in a great location down the street from the shops. The staff was super helpful. breakfast was excellent and there are always chocolate chip cookies to snack on. Our room was tiny and on the top floor. Lots of stair climbing. The other rooms are bigger.
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Mclaughlin (10/5): Exceptional - repeat visit because we loved it so much the first time. Great staff and breakfast. Worth the trip
- Gilbert (8/5): Very nice - Ambiences Takes too long to get hot water to come through the sinks and showers
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was amazing and the mansion was beautiful.
- cathybN5766BE (10/5): The Herlong Mansion, A uniquely serene setting filled with a feel of early 1900s - We just returned from our first trip to Micanopy, Florida last week. We stayed 4 nights at the Herlong Mansion Bed & Breakfast. Not only did we enjoy the area, Herlong Mansion offered us a cozy and uniquely serene place to rest. Antiques abound throughout the building. Each of the 11 rooms has a different theme and are equally as distinct. Kim, our gracious host, made a different breakfast daily. Delicious and healthy! There were cookies, tea, coffee, wine and/or beer available in the late afternoon.
Our room had a door to the veranda where we sat and relished the morning and evening air. The grounds are neat and filled with local greenery.
Thanks to Kim and her staff, we had a great time staying there and will definitely return when we can!
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sofiaofnorthfield (10/5): A Gem in Micanopy - Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing! Lovely room, with a very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Coffee, tea, and cookies welcomed us. Kim helped us with ideas for fun nearby. Right in Micanopy. Highly recommend!
- Debbie (8/5): Lovely weekend under the Florida canopy spent with my love. - The location is wonderful and the mansion is beautiful. My favorite place in the mansion is the veranda where we enjoyed a lazy Saturday afternoon. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious. The bed was creaky. The breakfast was disappointing and bland.
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Eugene (3/5): We won't be back. The price was not worth it. - The location The owner was rude when ask for the heat to be turned since it was cold outside. There are no tv on your room. No one ask you what you want fir breakfast they just bring you out a plate of food.
- Cutchins (10/5): Very special - Live Micanopy and have enjoyed the Herlong BandB several times. Breakfast was healthful and delicious with a nice touch of creativity!
- Burger (10/5): Exceptional -
- 248whitneyk (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing place to stay! - The mansion is so beautiful and well kept. The staff is lovely and inviting! We were there during the Micanopy annual craft fair, so the place was full, and the whole town was buzzing. It was so lovely to be able to return to the mansion to take breaks and completely escape from the madness of the festival to the complete peace of the hotel. There were drinks available all day along with fresh baked cookies.
We stayed in the pump house which is separate but very cute and comfy. The only hiccup in our stay is that three A/C in our room failed late in the evening, which is never good on sticky, humid Florida nights. I was up and down all night trying to get it to work, so we didn't get the greatest nights sleep. But overall, I believe we would come back again.
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasiia (8/5): Very good - beautiful place
- Deanne (9/5): Great place. Would stay there again. - Beautiful house and great breakfast, cookies, etc. Our room was a little warm. We tried to get it cool through our stay. I guess we found out at the end of our stay that each room is controlled remotely by the owner and we needed to ask for it to be cooler.
- Stutsman (6/5): Lovely old B and B located in historical Micanopy. - The mansion was historical and conveniently located. Very expensive due to it being a football game weekend at University of Florida.
- Erika (10/5): Exceptional - quaint & away from the hustle snd noise of Gainesville
- James (10/5): Clean and comfortable - It is a Beautiful Historic B and B Very clean and well kept
- Kristopher (7/5): Good -
- Jeffrey (10/5): We had such a lovely time. Can’t wait till we can stay there again - The preserved history and location
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- diannec778 (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway - Perfect getaway weekend at this beautifully kept, historic gem! My husband and I took a much needed romantic vacation to unplug from the hustle and bustle in the Tampa Bay area, and to spend the weekend riding our motorcycles in nearby Ocala National Forest. We weren't expecting the Herlong Mansion and Micanopy to be the highlight, with its quiet and charming town, unique antique shops, art work, friendly folks, live music, and wonderful food.
Kim and her staff at the Herlong prepare phenomenal breakfasts like quiches, pancakes, omletes, and fruit parfaits leaving the hungriest of guests satisfied well into the afternoon, and fresh baked cookies are always available!
We stayed in the Camilla room, comfy king bed, sofa seating area, and renovated bath. Chocolate covered strawberries were included with the complimentary wine/beer.
One major bonus....I have terrible allergies, especially to mold, and asthma, so I was fearful I would have a reaction. I did not have any issues, as the hotel is kept cooled and well taken care of. Thank you!!
Great trip and highly recommend this stop for an old Florida, laid back experience!
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joyce (10/5): It felt like home. - Breakfast were delicious. Staff was so friendly. It felt like home. We stayed on the way to south Florida and then on the way back home and we felt like family returning home.
- Vincyah48 (10/5): We had a wonderful stay here! The facility is magnificent, and Kim and her staff are amazing! -
- Graeme (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Page (10/5): Delightful stay! Felt welcomed into a beautiful home and treated each morning to a fabulous breakfast. - The location was excellent! Outside grounds are lovely, and inside was attractive, comfortable had antique furnishings with an updated feel. Everything is well maintained and cared for and welcoming. I can’t think of anything to be honest.
- Sharon (9/5): It was an excellent experience - Beautiful ambiance and location No tv in rooms
- David (8/5): Very good -
- rfh3358 (2/5): Rude owner! Don’t stay here if you have a service dog. - Unfortunately I cannot recommend this very beautiful place for one reason, THE OWNER. Extremely rude. I have a registered service dog. After the owner, Kim, barged out the front door of Herlong while we were sitting out on porch and began LOUDLY yelling at us my service dog reacted and barked at her. She kept yelling and then accused my dog of not being a “real” service dog. I am a disabled VietNam Veteran. Then making matters worse, we arrived home only to find she had charged me an additional $53.75 for having dog without telling us or signing for that.
Furthermore, we had been charged the TOTAL AMOUNT OF OUR STAY 4 months before arriving. Not just the first night, the full amount for our room 4 months before arriving. If I could do 1/2 a star I would.
- Kathryn (9/5): We loved staying at Herlong Mansion while visiting Micanopy - Beautiful property with lovely porch, parlor, breakfast room, and grounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and well cared for. The chocolate chip cookies were the best! Some rooms have a greater appeal due to period decor and furniture. Pictures on line are helpful in appreciating each unique room.
A plated breakfast was provided with a cup of fruit. One day it was waffles and sausage and the other was an egg casserole with potatoes, smoked turkey and cheese. While the food was good, we would have enjoyed having more choices and variety. Providing self serve selections with a hot food item along with fruit, cereal or granola, muffins or scones, bagels, and yogurt, for example would allow guests to customize a breakfast to their individual preferences.
- Fabrice (9/5): Amazing place, totally recommend and we will go back. - The house itself is beautifully maintained, showcasing its historical charm in a quaint and peaceful village setting. The breakfast provided was quite satisfying, and we really appreciated the complimentary cookies, tea, and coffee available throughout our stay. The staff handling our check-in and check-out were very courteous and helpful, which was appreciated. However, we were a bit disappointed that the owner did not acknowledge us during our stay. Additionally, our room was not serviced at all during our three-day visit, which we believe could have been managed better.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (6/5): It was good for a one time visit - It was unique The beds were uncomfortable . The breakfast was underwhelming
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marietheres (6/5): Idyllic but simple - Nice green surroundings, cosy common areas AC half broken and not adjustable!
- Kay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mirna (8/5): Was pleasant. - Everything is beautiful! It is spectacular place, the only think is that the bed made a lot of noise and it was the box spring, they should change it and the breakfast was ok.
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Marne (10/5): Relaxing. Refreshing. Respite. - We desired a quiet small town to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. So, we searched and found Herlong Mansion in Micanopy, Florida. It filled all the boxes for a quiet, beautiful respite. The B&B was lovely, the food was very good, the coffee excellent. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed learning the history and ties to the Seminole Indian tribes, the shopping, and the Doc Hollywood movie set. We have no complaints or criticisms. This vacation met or exceeded our expectations on every level. Highly recommend a visit to Micanopy, Florida.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic stay in every way!
The Mansion is just exquisite and the rooms are beautiful!
Proprietor Kim was a pleasure.....and great cook too!
Will definitely go back!
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- tinabC5446GP (2/5): Not worth the money!! - Let me start by saying the Herlong Mansion is beautiful. Devin and staff were exceptionally (this does not include the owner - Kim). We stayed 2️⃣ days here with our friends for our friend’s birthday. It was clean, smelled great and very simple. They had coffee, tea and cookies out for guests. The breakfast was good but only one selection no other choices.
My husband and I stayed in the Palm Room 2nd floor. It was very hot in our room on our first night so we turned the ceiling fan on it rattled so bad I could not sleep literally thought it was going to fall out of the ceiling. We reported ceiling fan rattling and it being overly hot in our room at 8:30am the next morning to Devin watched her write it down and put it in Kim’s desk. We went out for the day when we returned at 5:30pm my husband asked about Kim about the room being so hot. Kim acted like she didn’t know anything about it, of course by now it’s after hours. Kim called AC person spoke with them with no resolve. We asked could we move to another room there were non available… we asked if they had a fan - no fan. Kim was very rude and was not understanding that we paid a lot to enjoy our stay in comfort. Kim stated well it’s an old mansion. Kim told us she would take care of it but when we returned from our dinner she had left for the night. It was so hot in our room the second night my husband got over heated and got sick twice. Upon check out Kim was nowhere to be found… and she did not resolve the issue’s simply tried to make excuses for them. At one point Kim even said maybe we should stay at another hotel. Kim did turn the AC down to 68 however by the time we went up for bed it was set back to 70 again.
Let me also add: on two occasions they accused our friend of burning in-cents in their room - no one in our party even smokes nor did any of us light anything. After my friend told Devin the first time it was not any of us…..it was mentioned / brought up to them again a second time. Which really made them feel that they were being accused. We were on the back porch playing cards and listening to music and not even in the room until late 12:30am. But they told us someone reported it??
Mansion itself is in need of some repairs and improvements. But most of all the owners attitude was enough for me to post this review. We did not feel welcomed by the owner when there was a problem nor did she take care of it. This place is too overpriced to get treated poorly. Overall not a relaxing enjoyable experience. I forgot to mention the owners way of taking care of things is to do noting… no fixing the problem, no money taken off for all the inconvenience Just unacceptable!!
- Kim (10/5): Would like to return someday. The owner, Kim, is wonderful! - Great, healthy, plentiful, and catered to your dietary needs, if necessary.
- Karen-ann (10/5): Wonderful old Florida location for exploring fresh water springs, prairies and forest - Charming old mansion with lovely garden and verandas. Kim, the proprietor was lovely. Made suggestions for restaurants and experiences in this historic town. Some rooms have relatively small beds( double) with headboard and footboard so tall people should be sure to ask for rooms with larger beds.
- jenniewald (6/5): Save your money - We were both very disappointed with the breakfast. The expectation for a bed and breakfast- based on dozens of experiences over multiple States and Countries- is to have a prepared and presented multi-course breakfast. Get you own drink and a cup of basic fruits and a large square of a simple breakfast casserole that was too one-note to eat all of it… left us both disappointed and wanting something more/else. Not having a set table, no breads/pastries, self service drinks and one course of one food… and a few grapes, berries, a strawberry and 3 pieces of pineapple… not at all up to bed and breakfast standard. And for $275.00 I believed I was spending that to include the B&B experience, or I’m just staying at a room in someone else’s house. I regret the expense for what we received. Do you realize where you And we saw staff for 5 minutes the entire stay. In short, the stay lacked hospitality. It was our 5 anniversary - which I noted in the reservation and it was not even mentioned. Palm room was very understated and basic. The home is gorgeous. That’s not enough. I sent this to the owner and she was defensive and disinterested. There are MUCH better B&Bs in N FL.
- Kristie (10/5): Great place to stay! - Perfect stop on the last leg of our honeymoon. Loved the private cottage. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly.
- roysS4879ZZ (10/5): After seeing the film Doc Hollywood has been my intention to visit this area, as soon as I saw this accommodation wow - This house is absolutely beautiful, we selected the room on the ground floor, the room is lovely with a massive bathroom with walk in shower, there are complimentary drinks, and a lovely breakfast, Kim the owner is lovely very accommodating
- Penny (8/5): Over all we were very happy with the experience & hope to return. - Breakfast room very nice & food good mice service. Wine
- Robert (4/5): Very disappointing. Expected charm coupled with comfort - House/mansion itself is very nice and the porches are great for sitting and relaxing. Breakfast was good, even though quantity was a bit meagre. Room was very small and bed was clearly an antique and very uncomfortable. It is fine to have an older mansion and even some older furniture, but even if the bed frame is old the rest should be new and meet current comfort standards.
Room was clearly and old servant room and one could hardly move in it. There were other bigger rooms but clearly we were given the worst in the house.
- Alex (10/5): Great place, great people -
- amyoU1559PC (6/5): Great bed disappointing breakfast. - The old building is beautifully maintained as well as the landscaping, the beds were comfy and the shower was hot although slow which is expected in the third floor of an old hotel.
There were a few issues which should not have occurred at a four star hotel. The first started at 10:46 the morning of check in. I got a text confirming and saying check was 3 to 6 pm. Knowing I would not get there until after that I texted back explaining right away, no answer, then called at 3, no answer, finally got a call after six saying that was fine.
They checked for allergies and food preferences. We were looking forward to breakfast only to be disappointed. Breakfast offered as French toast, sausage gravy and quiche. I asked for French toast and a bit of quiche, my husband ordered sausage gravy.
The server came back to tell me I could have one thing. I chose the quiche. I was surprised at over $200 a night I expected more food. My husbands sausage gravy looked like just ground sausage none of the white creamy gravy you expect. He said it was salty but edible. Mine was a small piece of crustless quiche. We both got nice fresh fruit cups, butter arrived as well but nothing to spread it on. That was all.
Later in the day the room was serviced but only the bad was made, the coffee cups from the breakfast room were left on the table.
The next morning we arrived for breakfast, no options we were both served a square piece of potato filled quiche It was no more than 4” by 4” with a plain fruit muffin. Sprinkled with confectioner’s sugar. It was warm but not enough food.
Overall, I glad we stayed there. The history and maintenance of the place is impressive. The breakfast and lack of communication and minimum room care was was definitely not worthy of the price or $551.00 including tax for two nights.
My husband and I seldom get a weekend away with our work schedules, sad to be let down.
I hope they try harder. Disposable income is hard to come by and when spent one should feel it was worthwhile.
- James (9/5): It was very friendly and homey - Comfortable surroundings especially the second floor porch The bed squeaked
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fathauer (10/5): Exceptional -
- DayTrip821187 (4/5): Check the bed and sheets before you stay. - The house and grounds are very nice-lovely porch swings on 2nd floor porch are cozy.
The staff (Sabrina) was welcoming, and the breakfast was good. My main concern for future guests is the quality of the beds and bedding. We stayed in a smaller room (Jasmine) which was okay, but the bed squeaked loudly and the horrible microfiber sheets stuck to us with every toss and turn. The hinges on the door to the bathroom was in need of oiling-it squeaked loudly also. At $253 for one night, I expected better quality. We gave a note to the owner about this as we checked out. There was no follow up on her part to acknowledge these issues.
- Ronald (8/5): Very nice! - It was very nice. We love the feel of it. The area lost power on the evening of our stay and the staff was unable to prepare breakfast for us the next day. They were very apologetic about it. Things happen wasn’t their fault. We want to go back. Nothing really. Very nice little old quiet town. Great getaway. We’d like to go back one day.
