- Pat (9/5): - Very clean nice . Could not open curtains. Missing the remote to raise curtains. Had to use black clips to hold up
- Donna (7/5): -
- Kristy (10/5): Great deal. - Great location and close enough to get safely from freedom hill. Clean, well lit parking and friendly staff.
- Oday (10/5): -
- Janet (9/5): -
- Mildred (8/5): Weekend getaway - Location and clean I had to wait for someone to come to desk about 15 minutes but they were busy
- Brenda (7/5): I’m glad we slept well and got up in time for breakfast. - The coffee and tea tasted good. I was happy with the pancakes and orange juice. I wanted muffins but they didn’t have any.
They closed the breakfast curtain in front of people actually on someone’s arm. Breakfast should go until 10am.
- LYNN (10/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): - Breakfast was good room was good and warm and I love it was able to get into the room with just my phone I wish it was a bit cleaner but it wasn't anything horrible
- Marley (10/5): Hotel room was clean and comfortable and staff was super friendly and helpful - The staff was very friendly and helpful The other people on our hall were kind of loud late at night
- Jennifer (9/5): - I love the decoration very comfortable and retro

- Theodore (9/5): - The place still feels new.
The room still smells like brand new building materials which is almost as nice as new car smell.
The room was as expected and worth the price . The lighting in the room is a bit too much.
Only one small lamp and then all 9ver head style thats way too bright.
We used the little lamp and would throw a towel or shirt over it and that worked fine.
And as anew hotel they dont use carpet anymore so that kind of stinks but oh well it's not a deal breaker.
Its a nice hotel.
- Heidi (8/5): Pleasant stay - Updated, clean
- Anthony (5/5): - Everything was great other then the room was dirty and there wasn't really any bedside tables or anything like other hotels I've stayed in for the same price and room selection. The bathroom was dirty. And next to the toilet on the wall was gross too. Cleaning staff deffinatly needs to pay attention to the details. Because it was gross honestly. But other then that the facility itself was great and comfortable. And the beds deffinatly not great! . More like a fold out cott. Felt like I was sleeping on my toddlers bed at home. Not comfortable at all! Beds and cleanliness
- Jackie (8/5): Overall great visit - Very clean and location was perfect for what we were there for We had the do not disturb sign on our door but the cleaning person still came in and cleaned.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Annette (5/5): - Damage to the room. No one called us back even after asking for a manager to call. No accountability for damage found in the room.
- Frank (5/5): Not what I expected for the cost. - Bed was VERY uncomfortable. No coffee in the room.
Breakfast choice was not very good.

- Mike (9/5): Great place to stay -
- Patrick (3/5): NOT GOOD - Location was what we wanted for access to an event we were attending. Super disappointing staff! We were on the first floor and the staff had to be aware that there were children running the halls until midnight, then when I used the text they had sent out (in case we needed anything) I got ZERO response at 2AM when people had been partying in the parking lot outside of our window for 45 minutes.
- Ali (5/5): -
- George (8/5): Thank you tru - Great
- Monika (10/5): -
- Rosemary (3/5): - staff really did not want to be bothered...tv quit working...it said breakfast daily but no breakfast on Sunday ...we were there for a sports competition not having breakfast on Sunday but a time crunch in our morning...Will not stay there again
- Tony (5/5): -
- Ashley (1/5): Horrible - Horrible party in the lobby kids running around couldn’t sleep arguing in hall way

- anne (3/5): Steer clear of these Hilton bare bones properties, and for this one in particular, bring earplugs - I could bring my dog. First I realized this is one of the Hilton brands with no in room coffee. I am not sure why Hilton is trying to ruin the brand with these. I used to stay at mainly Hilton properties when I traveled for work and they were really nice. I have recently started taking a few trips with my family, and these just aren’t what I expect from the brand.
There was a big multi family group who took ownership of the lobby and ran up and down the hallway shouting all night after 1pm. There were kids and food everywhere on the floor, the receptionist looked exasperated, and the scene was chaotic. It was NYE. I carry ear plugs, but this was ridiculous.
- Precious (2/5): Not going back - Location Room was very dirty. Bathroom, shower & bedding.
- Ujkic (10/5): - Property always clean, staff always smiling and helpful. Our favorite hotel. 5 star stay with 3 star pay!
- Cindi (10/5): -
- Nicole (5/5): - Easy check in Fitness equipment didn’t work and the area was messy
- Kayla (10/5): 10/10 - Super fun & cute. Friendly fantastic staff. Good value! No complaints at all except for the pool was freezing haha.
- Pearson (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): Quiet and quaint - Clean and quiet Nothing microwaves in the room
- Hiba (2/5): Bathroom wasn’t clean front desk they have attitude - The bathroom wasn’t clean.. and have bed smell Usually, I am very like it, but this time I am so upset
- Hiba (1/5): - I don’t like it this time
- Guerrieri (9/5): Keep up the good work - Loved the bed Nothing
- Ketra (7/5): Our stay at Tru by Hilton was comfortable, friendly and quiet. - Colorful, breakfast provided, friendly staff, 4th floor room down the hall a ways = really quiet, hello/goodbye notes at entrance, mural of Detroit, local recommendations, lemon vanilla bath products, USB ports worked, two pillows for each guest, bottled water at check in… Michigan, you can have at it with the pot, but that stuff stinks! Smelled it in the elevator, in our room occasionally and in the lobby bathrooms. Barf!
- Harry (10/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Ericka (9/5): - Close to concert venue. Small rooms, very stiff uncomfortable pillows.
- Taneka (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful Breakfast was over too early
- Ayokanmi Peter (10/5): - Good customer service
- Nichole (10/5): Will definitely return just to stay there! - Cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in!!
- Brandon (10/5): -
- Michael (7/5): -
- john (10/5): - Good
- Melissa (6/5): - Lobby area for group gathering and pool table The bed had a very little comforter.
- Gabrielle (6/5): -
- Robert (6/5): - I admit I had no prior knowledge of TRU marketing platform. Did not care for the whole concept of no chairs in the room and gathering in the lobby. I feel like my room is my living space and the lobby is NOT part of my living space.
- Tiffany (6/5): - I stayed at true by Hilton at another location and it was very very clean and I loved it but this location wasn’t as nice. It was just OK. The housekeepers were always on my floor around the door a lot of the time so it was a little noisy and a lot of talking and moving around
- Tiffanie (10/5): - We just stayed one night but staff was amazing and the room was nice and clean
- Pinguim (4/5): - DIRTY ROOM
- David (8/5): - Lighting in the room is horrible. flood lights in your face are the only lights switched from the bed.
- Shamika (4/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- erica (10/5): - The pillows were awful. They were broken up. They should be put garbage. The telephone should be put on night table..
- Megan (9/5): It was wonderful and just the refresher we needed. - I liked how convenient it was for us that it was near everything we wanted to do and that we were able to check in at 20 years old. The staff was friendly but wasn’t very approachable at times.
- April (2/5): Save your money, it is GHETTO! - The lady at the front desk was great, she deserves a raise for what she had to put up with. The hotel was so ghetto with the amount of people there. The pool was so crowded and it was cold, dirty and just a horrible time. There was lint all around the pool floor, the people who were in the pool had stuff everywhere, they were so loud and obnoxious. The kids swam two short times last night. Then once this morning, but after they jumped in we quickly had to take them out for sanitary reasons. The people who were there at night left towels inside the pool, a key card, keys, and what looked like poop at the bottom of the pool. The pool should have never been open. At night there were groups of parents drinking in the lobby while kids were in the pool alone creating chaos. There are no ice buckets in the room, no coffee maker, microwave, etc. People were outside yelling and smoking/drinking. The place is just something we will never return. I would ask for my money back because of that, but i know they will deny and it is not worth the headache!
- LATESHA (4/5): Worse stay ever at TRU - Loud, kids running through the halls banging on doors & running. While the parents set out at the fire pit drinking. Chalk & trash everywhere. Lady put a bag full of poop outside her door at 7pm. It was still there at 10:30am. Front desk said we try to keep ppl with kids on the lower levels but I didn’t have any kids & got stuck on the rowdiest floor.
- Phil (6/5): - Driveway entrance is not marked from public street. Locating the parking lot, which requires driving between unrelated businesses is ridiculous. Essentially, the drive entrance can only be found by trial and error from a high speed, traffic congested road.
- Justin (8/5): I would return to Tru. It was a good value. - Clean facility, friendly staff Very difficult to find the entrance, have to drive through abutting parking lot
- Zenah (10/5): -
- Lori (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Lots of options for eating out nearby. Close to Freedom Hill.
- Eric (10/5): - Experience was amazing .
- Scott (10/5): -
- Yousif (10/5): - Hotel and room were very clean and several restaurants near the hotel
- Bonnie (8/5): - New renovation. Big bathroom modern amenities
- Tajai (10/5): -
- Wendy Garn (9/5): -
- Robert R (8/5): Couples getaway - Nice rooms, great location, tons of amenities unfortunately people using the indoor pool left puddles of water throught out the entery area and by the elevators. Floors were always soaked on the main floor.
- Richard (4/5): It was ok just inconvenient to live out of suitcases. - Breakfast, but it ended one hour too soon. No storage in room. No closet no dresser or drawers to store clothes for a six night stay.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Nothing
- Dana (8/5): -
- Jane (10/5): - Very clean and simple. Five stars. The only thing I wish is that there was a coffee maker in the room. We love our morning coffee, but don’t want to have to leave the room to get it.
- Richard E (6/5): - Disliked the interior furnishings. Kept banging my knee on the bed because the space was so crowded. The chair with the little platter on it was really annoying because the little platter would bang into the tiny table that was set against the wall.
- Tammy (7/5): Was there for one night for a concert and it was fine. Tight for 2 people. - It was close to amenities and it was clean The room was small and had no closet
- Lisa (10/5): Here for a concert, great after party lobby area to hangout! - Location. The pool. The fun lobby hangout area!!
The breakfast was amazing. Great choices/variety and delicious. Coffee was perfect. It was great!
- Veronica (10/5): Great place! - Check in was quick. Staff were very polite. Room was clean and cozy. Loved it! No complaints
- Nick (8/5): - Overall good. Pillows were bad.
- Dylan (6/5): Overall did the job for the night, but I won’t be back. Wouldn’t have finished my stay if it were more than one night. - The look from the outside was very modernized, with many food/drink options nearby. If you type the address into Google it does not bring you to the right location, and being on a busy road it’s hard to get back to the area. The bed is firm but the pillows are very very soft. The tv in our room did not work very well, we had to stand up near the tv and give it a long time between any control button we pushed. The rooms do not have much space at all. We listened to the person above us walk around all day, and into the night about 2-3am and it was loud enough to keep me awake. Woke up the next morning and was honestly very disappointed with breakfast. The eggs tasted microwaved, and the sausage definitely was too. The pancake machine took a very long time, and the oatmeal just did not generally look good. The toaster took a long time and seemed excessive, but did do the job so I ended up with a bagel for breakfast.
- Stephanie (10/5): - This was a beautiful hotel with vibrant colors and decor/ very clean and quiet! I would recommend highly!!!!
- Lascelles (8/5): - 3rd year in a row for this property, works very well.
- James (8/5): -
- Katie Rutledge (6/5): - location. the room was extremely small and felt more like a hostel than a hotel. no closet, dresser or nightstand (just a small circular wobbly table). No ice bucket or coffee in room. Felt dirty. The bathroom had hair leftover in the shower, shower seal was moldy, the room had dirt/dust in the corners and the floor felt dirty. happy to only have booked 1 night. Pillows were very small and lumpy.
- Mustafa (10/5): -
- OSCAR (10/5): -
- ana paula (4/5): - The front desk girl was extremely rude when we arrived and we had to ask for the manager. We got a king size bed room, for me the mattress wasn’t comfortable, got a back pain the whole time we were there. Someone had puked on our floor by the elevator on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday when we were checking out, (around 11am), it was still dirty. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- Williams (8/5): - It was clean modern Need microwave in room and need steamers for guest
