- Chiara (5/5): Ci sono ampi margini di miglioramento - La posizione centrale ed il palazzo antico Il letto , nonostante il clima caldo, aveva solo un pesante piumone, il solo cuscino utile era sottilissimo. In conclusione è stato impossibile dormire. La camera era molto piccola, ma con un prezzo non alto, ciò può essere giustificato. Il check-in è stato possibile dopo le 15, il check out era fino alle 10.30, diversamente da quanto riportato su Booking. Il tappeto della camera era sporco e vecchio.

- Sanjay (9/5): I will return if in Ortigia again. - Instructions for out of hours arrival was very clear. The room was clean on arrival and cleaned promptly each morning. The bed was big and we had a great view over the local streets (there are rooms with a sea view available). The host was extremely accommodating, spoke great English, amended our breakfast to our requirements, gave us valuable insights into local attractions and places to visit in our wider Sicily trip. The hotel is right by the local parking and within minutes of all parts of Ortigia and close to Syracuse as a whole. Slightly more space in the room. The parking is in a public car park at a cost of 25 EUR a day but parking in Ortigia is at a premium so I don't have many complaints about this.

- Daniela (8/5): Entzückendes feines B&B in der Altstadt - In der Altstadt - am Hafen gelegen, sehr ruhig, der Hafen ist in der Nähe. Die beiden Damen die das Hotel abwechselnd betreuen und für den Check-in und Check out und das Frühstück verantwortlich sind, waren unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend, hatte viele Tipps für uns und haben uns jeden Tag ein großartiges Frühstück gezaubert. Es ist ein kleines, feines altes Steinhaus mit schönen Zimmern und alten Möbeln. Die Treppe zu den Zimmern im ersten Stock ist recht schmal und war mit dem schweren großen Koffer durchaus eine kleine Challenge. Das Zimmer hatte keinen Kasten (ist mittlerweile häufig der Fall) aber doch zwei Wandgarderoben mit ein paar wenigen Kleiderhaken. (Ich hab aber nicht nachgefragt, ob wir noch welche bekommen könnten) Mit zwei größeren Koffern war es trotzdem ein wenig knapp. Aber für ein paar Tage ist das machbar....

Narrow and steep. There was lemonade to be made from lemons - there was a beautiful, large terrace exclusively for us. Manuela was exceptionally helpful. She sat down and mapped all the charms of Ortigia. Her weekend replacement was lovely. The B & B offers a wonderful breakfast for 10 euros. Enough for 2.

Both Emily and Manuela were amazingly helpful in terms of late check-in, parking and local recommendations. It's really a lovely place to stay. Nothing about the hotel but be prepared for challenges with parking. I would suggest parking off the island and walking across.

- Christine (7/5): - L'emplacement dans Ortigia, pas loin de la mer. La belle entrée. L'accueil 1) Les photos montrent une vue mer ce qui est faux. Seules 2 chambres sur les 5 de l'établissement ont une vue sur la mer. Il est indiqué qu'il y a 1 balcon ce qui est faux aussi, c'est une simple fenêtre sur la rue. 2) l'accueil n'a lieu que jusqu'à 19h00, ce qui n'était pas précisé lors de la réservation. C'est trop juste. 3) il y a du bruit dans la rue le soir, c'est mal insonorisé. 4) la salle de bain n'est pas super pratique, rien pour accrocher ou suspendre les serviettes. Le lavabo est design mais pas pratique, l'eau déborde systématiquement. Pas assez de produits pour se laver. Sur la photo il y avait 4 petits produits et il n'y en avait que 2, pour les 2 jours. 5) le mobilier très succinct : pas de bureau, pas de commode ni d'armoire, 1 seul fauteuil

- Lorraine (7/5): Good - Fab location right next to the port. Sadly I booked one of the rooms with a tiny balcony facing the back. Staff were delightful and helpful. The room was small with minimal facilities and nowhere really to put clothes. Relatively narrow stairs and no lift so if you need to book someone to take your luggage up.

- Silvina (9/5): Superb - It is very well located in Ortigia. The hotel is nice, staff is super helpful and friendly. The room with a terrace has a really nice view of the sunset. Super comfortable bathroom, spacious and well equipped. The bed seemed a little old, not so comfortable matress

We were disappointed, that is not what I would call a balcony , we like to sit on a balcony and there was certainly no room to sit . I think the description was misleading, it was just a bit larger than a Juliet balcony .

- Dean (10/5): Spectacular!! - Palazzo Guinta - Porta Marina Ortigia made my stay in Ortigia more than I could have imagined. I was a little indulgent and stayed in the romantic suite as it had the balcony overlooking the marina and I am so glad that I did. It was wonderful large room with a very comfortable bed. The huge balcony space was brilliant to soak up the morning and afternoon sun and overlook the marina below. The location was excellent!! Breakfast. Wow!! Just wow!! I couldn’t believe the amount of food that I was served with so much variety. Savoury and sweet options overflowed each morning. I walked away daily very satisfied and very full. The staff were the best part of my stay. Welcoming. Knowledgeable. Sweet. Hilarious. Engaging. The tips of where to eat, what to see, what to do and how to fully embrace Ortigia and Siracusa made my time in Ortigia far more memorable than I expected. Thank you. Stop looking at options. This is the place to stay in Ortigia.

- Robert (10/5): - This property has it all! Parking, although not free, was close by and safe. The rooftop terrace we enjoyed immensely and the room was very nice. The island is loaded with restaurants and shopping, everything is within a short walk and very safe. We also enjoyed a boat trip around the island. Our host Manuela was very nice and friendly as well!

Manuelina was AMAZING and so friendly, she works the front desk at breakfast. She helped us arrange the boat tour and gave us local recommendations for food. SHE IS SO GREAT would recommend this place 100%!!!!!
- Dean (8/5): Good, but… - Interesting historic building right in heart of Ortygia. Very helpful and friendly staff - the little presentation of food they made for breakfast was exceptional. Rooms spotlessly clean, spacious. Hotel is three-storey, with rooms on level 1 and 2, but building does not have a lift, and staircase was narrow. Lugging suitcases up and down these stairs quite awkward. This may be an issue for you. Building is also right on Porta Marina - an area which is a focus for drinking and party activity at certain times. This may be an issue for you. Building has tiled floors which makes it very echoing, especially when other guests arriving late at night.

- Rachel (7/5): Good - Beautiful view out to harbour from my front bedroom. Old fashioned interior design suits the architecture, you are in small section of an very old Palazzo by the city walls, gate. Great for accessing Ortigia and its lovely restaurants and sunsets. No lift, difficult to carry suitcase up. Service offered at extra 10 euro!! No real mini bar , coffee , tea and kettle facilities in the room. Coffee machine downstair is locked away after 7pm.
- Rachel (8/5): A stunning location by the water in gorgeous Ortigia. with friendly and helpful staff. - Manuela was a brilliant host, helping us find the property and telling us all about the area. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building overlooking the busy port. The room was well equipped with a great bathroom and very comfy bed. Breakfast was outstanding. As we were close to the water it was a busy, noisy part of the city. But we felt that that was the trade off and being able to look out across the street to the port was very special. Lots of stairs with our heavy suitcase was a little challenging but we managed!

- jose (10/5): Localização e hospitalidade - Duas coisas têm muito destaque: a fantástica localização, fica dentro do centro histórico e de frente para a Marina e a hospitalidade dos donos e funcionários. Nos buscaram no estacionamento e depois nos explicaram detalhadamente os principais locais a serem visitados. Ainda nos deram um upgrade nos colocando no quarto de frente para o mar o que foi realmente fantástico!
