- thierry (10/5): Great stay with calm and adorable people - Le personnel était adorable et tout à fait à l'écoute. Les petits déjeuners étaient complètement personnalisés en fonction des allergies. Ils étaient très copieux et très bons. Nous n'avons pas assez profité de l'hôtel et de sa piscine en voulant visiter au maximum Bali, mais l'atmosphère était idyllique. Son emplacement est idéal pour ceux qui n'ont pas peur de marcher 15mn pour aller vers le centre d'Ubud et qui veulent du calme !
- Gina (10/5): Lovely place and team, central location - The entire team went above and beyond to ensure I was conformable and had everything I needed. I arrived quite late in a heavy rain, and they were ready to carry my oversized luggage and set me up for the night. My villa was meticulously cleaned and in pristine condition, and the overall vibe here is cozy. The foliage views and pool area are lovely. All of the plants are happy and thriving! Make sure you locate the power strip early on as there aren't many plugs in the room. I didn't find this right away. Also note that it's open air, but the windows have shutters, so you don't get as much natural light from inside (better for sleepers preferring dark ambiance).

Biggest bathroom we have experienced! On arrival, we were very touched to see that the staff had decorated our bed with rose petals celebrating our 34th Wedding Anniversary. Terima kasih Beautiful pool setting for breakfast. Lots of shade, but also sun loungers to soak up the sun. Peaceful and quiet, tranquil and lush. The staff were amazing, particularly Putu, Agu and Novi and a special thank you to Tia who we had great chats with, over breakfast. We will be back. Terima Kasih! 😃 Nothing. The garden was near a river full of tropical trees and plants. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly. The location, not in the centre of Ubud but very close to it, was ideal for quietness and relaxation. There were no pavements so it was rather difficult to walk to the centre of Ubud when the traffic was heavy.

The team were incredibly helpful and friendly, and really made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was perfect and had everything that we needed and more! The food was beautiful and the breakfast juices are not to be missed! (The ABC comes highly recommended). Beautiful pool with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sun shine. The location is also perfect as it is away from the hustle and bustle in the centre of Ubud, but still also within walking distance from many restaurants and shops. Kano Sari is the perfect place to stay whilst in Ubud! Absolutely nothing, it was all amazing!

Möglichkeit in der Unterkunft mittags/abends zu essen, was auch lecker war. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung. -

My room had a large, excellent bed, and the bathroom (with a deliciously large tub) opened up to the view of the lush forest. The outside patio to the room included a beautiful sitting area, accompanied with only the sound of the river and swaying trees. The staff were very friendly and able to arrange everything, including transportation and activities. Excellent meals, which can be had in the room. Highly recommend.

- Maria (9/5): Cute, homey, comfortable stay really felt like a home away from home thanks to the staff! - Everything was good but what really set this place apart from other places was the exceptional staff, they really made you feel like you were at home, small tight-knit family that all said hello and really felt like they cared about your stay and the rest of your day. They remembered that I liked chilis with my breakfast and no sugar in my juice and continued to deliver throughout the week without having to ask twice! They clean your room twice a day and helped with you everything you need, from mosquito repellent to shuttles into town. They even went above and beyond to rectify a misunderstanding. Thanks for the amazing stay! Not a huge deal but just didn't expect it to be semi-open air. I think the window had wooden blinds but it had no glass panes so mosquitos could easily get in. Also charging was hard as there were limited outlets in convenient places.

I loved that everything was open to nature which gave the property a very calm and relaxing experience. The pool was wonderful with both enough spots in the sun and shade. The patio where you have breakfast is excellent with a nice view of a small bit of jungle. The room was very spacious and super tidy. Luckily they had a mosquito net as the room was exposed to open nature. Perhaps this isn’t a real flaw, but the room was not completely closed, so if you’re not used to sleeping with sounds of insects, gecko’s or owls, it may be difficult to fall asleep.

You order your breakfast the day before with plenty of options. Free filter drinkwater in the room. Saron included for the temples. They also come in the evening when you’re gone to make your room sleep ready and turn on the AC. All in all, lovely! It was absolutely perfect.

The setting is serene, surrounded by lush greenery, and the rooms have a beautiful open-air jungle vibe. We had a minor issue with the AC, but the staff responded quickly and offered us a new room. The service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuine. They also treated us to a complimentary massage, which was absolutely euphoric with the soothing jungle sounds in the background. The wooden window blinds can't be opened so the only way to get natural light into the room is by leaving the front door. You can open the slates of the blinds but it is quite cumbersome and still doesn't let much light in.

The location was great and the staff helped us rent a scooter so we could explore the area during the day. We would definitely go back to Kano Sari Villa. What was especially memorable and heartwarming was that when my husband and I started driving to the next place, the staff came out and waved us off - it gave us a very warm and heartwarming feeling as if we were leaving home. - Stefan (10/5): Simply perfect stay - Our stay in Kano Sari was in the Jepun suite, which is a huge villa type room with bathroom outside and seperate living area. The breakfast is served right next to your room in the outdoor sitting area and it is GREAT. Every evening you get to choose from different ala-carte menus and the next morning a lovely breakfast will be served with a smile from the super friendly Kano Sari team. We stored one of our luggage bags in the hotel when we set of to explore the rest of Bali by motorbike and the employees have taken really good care of it. They even messaged me worries when I was a little late picking it up. For service and quality I would definately recommend the Kano Sari villa's. As expected from other reviews the mosquitos were really aggresive during our december stay. But the netting around the bed and the supplied repelend helped a lot. There is a bat who lives above the balcony area at night and he makes a mess which is cleaned by the housekeeping every day. This was not a problem for us, it is nice to see this thing of nature up close. But it is good to know you can expect that sitting outside on the balcony in the morning is not always possible before cleaning. Tip: use the supplied flashlight to look at the bat when you are awake at night. It is a magnificent creature. Kano Sari is not the most economical choice in the area, but we were not sorry we booked for these prices.

The swimming pool is large and deep…we can swim It’s a traditional Balinese building , decoration and landscape. You really feel in Bali. The room was very large comfortable and tastefully decorated. It’s a small business with only 6 rooms. Expect for feeling home. Very easy access to the center of Ubud. Breakfast was very nice. It’s a problem, but also due to situation of the hotel in the center of Ubud. It was a little noisy during the night, not because of the road in front, but the main road 300 meters on the other side of the river.

Villa tour provided by staff is good. Honeymoon decoration on the bed was good. I had bruises on my knees which I informed a day prior of checkin. Unfortunately, the first aid provided was expired. No bathroom slippers were provided, my husband had something pierced in his feet while walking around the pool. The charging ports around the bed is far. The room is open from roof which affects the cooling inside the room. Less value for money. The breakfast portion size is small. feedback: portion size should be good for vacation and should not be limited (it just kills the vacay mood).

Our villa was tucked away at the back of the property by the jungle and was large, with a lovely outdoor sitting area and an incredible bathroom. The only small complaint I had was because the shutters in the villa didn’t fully seal, it was hard to keep the A/C cold. But overall the temperature was fine.

The villa itself, which is located within easy walking distance of central Ubud, is stunning, peacefull, with large and clean room and bathroom that offered the perfect blend of comfort and luxury, all while being surrounded by nature, with nice views of the forest. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious and diverse, offering a delightful taste of Bali. If you're looking for a serene escape with top-notch service, Kano Sari is the place to be! Everything was perfect. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the service for breakfast and dinner might seem a bit slow. However, we noticed that this is common throughout Bali, so it's not really something to complain about. After all, we were on vacation and there was no need to rush. Plus, the wait was always worth it and the food was always freshly prepared!

The property is beautiful, in a very green setting (lovely garden and the property backs on to a forested ravine - lovely views from some of the rooms). We also found it helpful to be within easy walking distance of central Ubud and all that it has to offer. The breakfast and pool area are also great for relaxing in. The rooms/villas themselves are private, spacious, attractive, well laid out, and very well equipped, with some nice touches (unlimited drinking water, sarongs for visiting temples). Bathrooms are large and open to the outside (with associated pros - good ventilation - and cons - e.g., lack of soundproofing - that this brings). We also enjoyed being able to organise everything (transfers, day trips, massages, etc.) through the hotel

The friendly, professional staff deserve a special comment, making our stay perfect with delicious breakfasts, clean surrounds, shuttle service, car bookings, advice for restaurants and more. Whatever we needed staff were there to help. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The laundry service could be improved. This would not be a problem for many people but white towels need to be kept white. This would not however prevent me from returning to Kano Sari.

- Alessio (10/5): Just perfect! - We loved everything about Kano Sari! The location is ideal, just 15 mins walk away from Ubud Palace but far from the chaos of Ubud centre, with a gorgeous view over the jungle. Our room was fantastic, extremely spacious and well organised - just note that you are not entirely isolated from the nature since the shutters do not have glass windows, therefore you may find little geckos and bugs in your room (but this is true for most if not all accommodations in Bali) - we didn’t have any issue with mosquitoes or other animals while at Kano Sari. The staff are FANTASTIC and really kind, they will help you with everything from transfers to day tours to arranging massages or dinner reservations. And their portfolio of activities and recommendations is also great. We did some cycling, a tour of the north of Ubud and also two massages at the resort with their own masseuses and everything was amazing and dreamy. Lastly, the food is also fantastic. We had dinner there 3 times because it was just so good and cheaper than other restaurants in town, and the one time we went to a fancy local restaurant - Hujan Locale - we regretted not having dined at Kano Sari. This resort is absolutely worth the money, don’t look anywhere else and just book here, you won’t regret it Nothing!!!
