• Bogan (1/5): Disappointing and left after one day but paid for two - Nothing. But Bed was comfortable and it was very clean. We arrived at confirmed time to be told that bookin.com had not let them know and that previous renters had just left ( why? It says ten o clock in information) and the place needed cleaning. We were turned away and told to come back at five. It meant we had an hour and three quarters stuck in our car on a lat by near by. We tried Barolo fir a maybe coffee and the nearest town but no parking it was a Sunday and full of tourists. They should have said come in go sit in restaurant have a cup of coffee or go sit by pool. Hospitality was just not there or welcoming. The apartment isn’t “ bright” as described, it’s dark, it’s also cold I think it was a stone barn before. Bed was comfortable and it was clean. It’s not somewhere fir two nights it’s not comfortable. The outside space with table and chairs is a courtyard with cars and a big barn no views. The place was hosting a big Italian family birthday or such, and we fekt rather in the way in the restaurant, the food at 27 e a head was overpriced and stodgy, although I must say the ravioli was tastey, and you pay for water and coffee, of course wine u pay and that’s acceptable. The breakfast doesn’t look like the photos , it’s a disappointment. We decided we couldn’t bear another day and night there and cut our losses we’d booked two nights, paid two nights so we lost in fact over a hundred euros. But quite honestly we just wanted to leave. I think the whole meeting from the beginning telling us to go away was appalling we’d just driven six hours in the car . We’d booked that morning early, had booking confirmed and thrn the hour of arrival confirmed, I think they maybe didn’t check and were concentrating on this big party arriving but it didn’t help us. I want to add finally that we use booking.com regularly for years and I’ve never out of the hundreds of reviews written a complaining one, this is my first and hopefully my last as I do not like writing this but we are so incensed at our treatment.
