- Hanneke (7/5): Prima - Prachtig gelegen locatie mídden in de jungle Personeel
- Fany (8/5): -
- Juliette (10/5): -
- Leeuwenburgh (9/5): Favorite nature escape in Bali - It’s the most beautiful nature escape you can imagine. Surrounded by rainforest, tropical birds and plants and spectacular views all around. The perfect spot to unplug, unwind and simply be. The food is amazing and comes out of their own garden. Couldn’t be more fresh and organic.
There’s a yoga Shala with mats and blocks and when I was there, there was a girl giving classes. The lodge even has a waterfall.
Make sure to book a massage or go on an organized hike to explore the surroundings. So happy to see places like this still exist in Bali. Absolutely nothing. It’s perfect
- Sally (10/5): Magical! Ecologically intelligently run and perfectly part of the local community and landscape. - The location is wonderful
Food incredible
Staff so welcoming and also not intrusive we had total freedom. The walks arranged were wonderful we love birdwatching and the visit was beyond our expectations. Nothing
- Kirsty (9/5): Swept away with the beauty of Sarinbuana, its people, food and nature. - Location, staff, stunning room, bird walk, beauty, food, so much to do, ethics, composting, electric car transfer, natural pool, fireflies, local employer Towels were thin, hot water was very temperamental
- JoAnn (10/5): - The Sarinbauna Eco Lodge is a hidden gem in Bali. Located far from the any towns, the lodge offers a peaceful setting. to relax and embrace the heart of Bali. Built using sustainable materials and in keeping with the environment, each cottage is cozy and comfortable. Food is locally grown and prepared with perfection. The staff could not have been more engaging and welcoming. They helped us arrange several
guided day tours. There is nothing
negative to say.

- Florian (10/5): The most peace I've felt in many years - If you're looking for peace and tranquillity, this is THE place. Had the most relaxing weekend I've had in years. The owner Norman was very warm and welcoming, as well as the staff. This will be my goto place in Bali anytime I need to chill and relax. Wifi could be a bit better in the room, but to be honest the point of the trip was to disconnect so it was all good for me.

- Clinton (9/5): Great lodge, genuine staff and very relaxing. - Location, and staff were awesome. Nothing.
- Caroline (10/5): A piece of calmness and true nature - The privacy, the calmness of the property and its wonderful friendly and resourceful staff.
We booked for 4 nights and added an extra night as we couldn’t leave this magical place!
Our lodge was very spacious with an incredible view in the middle of the Jungle. This place stopped us from doing too many activities and simply relax and enjoy nature, connect with locals and enjoy the best fresh food.
Highly recommended if you want to switch off away from the busy parts of Bali. Loooooove it and will be back!
- Maksims (10/5): - Amazing experience in rainforest
- Antonio (10/5): -
- Åke (10/5): - Superfriendly staff. Beautiful location. Good food.
- Charlene (10/5): A very special place - We loved everything 😄 the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and lovely. The food is exceptional, every meal is lovingly made from ingredients sourced from the garden on site. We did a 5 hour rainforest walk and also limestone carving, the local guides were amazing and knowledgeable and we learnt lots about the local culture. We also done custom made tours and our driver suggested some fantastic places to visit based on our likes.
We stayed in Cosy View, which is a tad on the small side for the week we stayed, but we did know this before visiting as pictures and details are very clear and accurate. We loved the room though, the view is breathtaking, especially watching the sunrise.
I highly recommend Sarinbuana and can't thank everyone there enough for making our stay so unbelievably special. We will definitely return!
- Jodi (10/5): I look forward to coming back and feel it is a superb place to retreat to with a group or solo. - The location is absolutely exquisite. It was a privilege to be able to stay there, especially as the place is so so well cared for. I love that you order your lunch or dinner earlier in the day and then the ingredients are then fresh-forged for that meal. I have nothing to say here - even in the rain, the venue was outstanding and ensured you slowed down even more. It is such a beautiful place to rest, restore, and explore.
- Jessica (8/5): -

- Matjaz (10/5): Hidden jewel in central Bali! - I not only liked it, but it exceeded my expectations. The place is located in a magical setting. You're surrounded by beautiful nature and wonderful people. The food was awesome, there is a joga place, an organic garden, walking trails, natural water ponds in the small creek running below. The views are amazing and there's a natural pool with little fish. They have a massage parlour above a small meditation pond with stones sticking out where you can sit down surrounded by water. There's a sauna and ... They have different activities and workshops with the local community. It's one of those special places where you just want to come back to. I liked everything.
- Oliver (9/5): -
- Mina (7/5): -
- Ling (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tadina (6/5): No complaints, the staff did their job, the food was good and the birdlife was great but was hoping - No WiFi in the room or coffee making facilities
- Josette (10/5): A place you must visit, a nature paradise and the staff make you feel like family. - This is a little magical place, truely a hidden gem. It's not just the location and the ambiance, it's the staff in the kitchen that make this place so wonderful. The food is incredible, you can taste the love and passion for the balinese spices and the respect for mother earth as well.
- Bumsin (8/5): Very good - In the middle of forest. Lots of birds.
Kind staff. Delicious meals. During the daytime, everything was fine. At night humidity was very high and temperature was a bit chilly. Very hard to sleep well. Preparing a small electric blanket or something warm and dry would be good. Definitely not hotel's fault.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional food, incredibly helpful staff, perfect ecolodge - I can't say a bad word about Sarinbuana. The food was absolutely luxurious, and eating clean and local ingredients was a wonder for my taste buds. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the steps taken to help us access the lodge (due to awkward flights) were something we couldn't be more grateful for. Facilities were amazing, the pool was refreshing, and the range of activities were great, although our short stay meant we couldn't try them all out Not having a map of the site! With lots of paths through the amazing natural landscape it was easy to get a bit lost or miss out on things. A small map of the site that we could carry around would mean it's easier to access the incredible eco resort!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roxana (10/5): Great place to disconnect - A really nice experience where you get to live in the rain forrest in close connection with the nature. Do not go here alone, especially if you are afraid of the dark and animal noises. The place is great to disconnect from the everyday hustle and to bond with your partner or friends. Make sure to take the activities they offer and also to visit the Talasi estate neaby
- Amanda (9/5): Idyllic location, fabulous food - will never forget it. - The most beautiful place ever. Fabulous food, amazing natural surroundings- birds, flowers trees of all kinds Nothing.
- Adam (10/5): Jungle peace and quiet - Excellent location for peace and quiet. We took our kids, 5, 5 and 7 years old for new year. They loved it. Jungle walks, waterfall. Food is good. Pool is unique. Sauna is great. Could do with a coffee machine but Talasi coffee plantation is walkable up the road so could still get a good coffee there. Not really a criticism as the place is outstanding
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - The location and tranquility great and great food. All good thanks
- Hayley (10/5): Amazing stay at genuine eco lodge. - Beautiful and secluded genuinely eco resort. The staff and owners were lovely and passionate. We slept amazingly in the tree house style accommodation which was very comfortable despite the lack of air conditioning. Nothing. Although note there is a fair walk and it is a bit steep in places. No problem for our family along with our bags.
- Glenn (8/5): Very good -
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loviisa (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (8/5): A magical place: come to support real sustainable, local tourism - This is a beautiful place. While expensive, the lodge employs many local people. The staff were really lovely and the surroundings were exceptional. The food was amazing. The permaculture tour was exceptional (and free-though do tip!). Their yoga shala was phenomenal! Huge with yoga mats, blocks and a panoramic jungle view. The view from my room was one of the best I have ever had when travelling. There was no table in my room, which made working difficult and there was only internet in the restaurant. However, I have (luckily) data and the reception was very good.
The waterhole was inaccessible.
- Sarah (8/5): Very special location with lots of lovely things to do. - Beautiful surroundings, great activities, fantastic restaurant. The jungle bungalow was more rustic than I had expected. It rained for most of the time we were there, and the hole in the roof meant water came in.
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Liliane (9/5): Superb -
- Luca (10/5): Amazing - A stunning place ! Can’t wait to come back
- Christina (10/5): Paradise - This is like Utopia, the perfect world. I appreciated especially the guest book with detailed information and the surprise dinner every night witch was exceptional, the helpful and friendly staff, the garden tour, hikes, workshops and closeness to nature. Also a highlight was yoga every morning with the sunrise. I never wanted to leave this place.
- Olivier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malou (10/5): Thank you so much for a very special week! - We had the best time in Sarinbuana Eco Lodge. What a special place - the owners and the team put so much love into all their work. If you are looking for a quiet, truly eco friendly stay with a stunning view, and the best food, then this is a place that you should not miss. We stayed one week and loved every second of it - our boys enjoyed it so much as well. Thanks a lot for putting so much love and effort into a sustainable way of tourism!! Everything was just perfect!
- Kamini (8/5): A beautiful spot but a little overpriced and not as authentic and warm as other eco lodges I stayed at. - The property itself is beautiful and set amongst lush nature. The food is tasty and very fresh from the garden. The rooms are comfortable and most have lovely views. There was little explanation of the activities and use of sauna etc arriving at 5pm as the office was already shut. No real effort was made to communicate the following day and I wasn’t met with much enthusiasm when I asked about doing a garden tour the following day. No mention of sauna so when I saw it and asked if wsn’t available for the days I was there. It was also a little annoying to be rushed to make decisions about food choices after each meal in preparation first the nectar although I do understand this was partly to ensure everything was picked fresh from the garden. More explanation would have helped guests feel more at ease with this.
- Tim (7/5): Wonderful food - The food is excellent and the rooms are cozy. The hotel surroundings are beautiful and you hear and see birds everywhere. The overall guest experience is very average and I expected more from this unique hotel.
Another downside is that you are constantly chased to order food for your next meal. So during your breakfast you have to decide what you like for lunch. Everything is made from scratch and delicious, but I don’t think this would be necessary.
- Maria (10/5): One of the most beautiful locations Ibhave stayed it. It‘s very sustainable and located in the wonderful forests of Batu - Surroundings, sustainability, staff, food A little bit pricey
- Etienne (9/5): Fantastic nature experience - The hotel ans bungalows, are lost in the wild nature, it is absolutely wonderfull. We have done hicking in the mountain for 4 hours and it was wonderfull and very interesting about the fruits, temples... In the hotel there are 2 water fall with natural pool very nice and funny. The prices for the rooms are quite expensive, and the staff service is ok but could be better...
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): The perfect place to experience the "best" of Bali. - Delicious food and helpful staff. The pool and gardens are beautiful and the lodge is located in a stunning area in Bali.
- Nicholas (9/5): A wonderful experience of peace and tranquility - I have stayed at this piece of paradise a number or time. The food is superb and the location, while isolated, is perfect. I love the fireflies at night. nothing at all
- Madeline (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful peaceful location, very comfortable beds, lovely bungalow, great view, cooler weather, tasty food. It was all good, we would return.
- Philipp (9/5): Superb -
- Ivan (10/5): Sublime - Peaceful and relaxing. Great natural pool, well prepared natural food
- Esther (10/5): Beautiful - Peaceful, tranquil and stunning. Everything was created around nature. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. Was everything we needed after some weeks in busy Bali! The staff were very friendly and we’re also very accommodating; fitting us in for a last minute massage. During dinner they also had traditional Balinese instruments playing The spiders 😣 (I know we’re in the jungle)
- Sanket (9/5): Superb -
- Aina (10/5): Amazing ecolodge near the rainforest supporting community and environmental projects - Amazing luxury ecolodge right in the slopes of Mount Batukaru run by a Balinese-adopted Australian family. Beautiful houses and architecture. Natural swimming pool, plus river pools. Being in the middle of nature, just jungle sounds. The best is all the community and environmental projects the lodge supports with the income they get, plus projects to preserve the rainforest. The restaurant serves delicious dishes and exquisite desserts. It was a bit out of our budget but for a few nights it was a dream to be there. The only downside for us is that we went there specifically to walk in the rainforest, and from the lodge there are no paths to walk. We booked the 3-hour rainforest trekking, but actually you spend just half hour really in the rainforest; most of the time you walk through plantations or road. So better take a longer trek. Also you can not walk on your own, you will be convinced to take a guide.
- Sascha (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic stay - a peaceful stay in stunning rainforest, with easy access to hikes, swims, waterfalls and the restaurant which had some of the best food we ate in bali. Thanks for a beautiful stay.
- Paula (10/5): Easy, relaxed, healthy and worth the drive up the hill to experience. - This eco lodge was nothing short of amazing!
Food was great, serenity was perfect, staff were lovely and helpful. There is something for everyone!
- Richard (10/5): No - Relaxing, great food, beautiful location and comfortable room. Also excellent service Nothing
- Simon (9/5): A really idyllic place to stay, unwind and explore Bali’s natural environment. - The Eco Lodge is in a pretty and remote location on the slopes of Batukaru volcano. The cottages are dotted around lush gardens growing fruit and herbs. Our cottage had a shady terrace to relax on. There’s a really excellent restaurant serving local specialities, a freshwater swimming pool and some comfy places to sit. From the lodge there are excellent guided walks into the plantations, rainforest and temples. There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.
- Francesco (8/5): Very good -
- Valeriia (1/5): One of the worst experiences I ever had - The location is beautiful, but you cannot explore it without the guide. Food was mainly good but overpriced by at least 1/3 of average price. All the services and food in hotel are overpriced and quality of the services is lower than expected because there is no competition nearby. No other restaurants, spa etc.
It was very noisy during my stay in Cozy view bungalow as I hear all the noises from the restaurant and swimming pool, especially at the evening.
The hotel charged me a higher price than original price of my booking at booking.com and they have added 5% service charge to the room rate which was not stated during my booking and is ridiculous as booking.com stated the price including taxes and charges.
The staff is unpleasant and unprofessional. Reception opens 8:15, while it’s mentioned 8:00. The receptionist was never smiling and doesn’t know how to do the card payments, so besides charging me extra she gave me additional stress by saying that my card is invalid.
when I wanted to order the transfer the hotel provided me with one rate, and next day when I wanted to order the transfer the price was already different.
Safe box and hot water didn’t work on my check-in and I had to ask them to fix it.
I didn’t like massage, do not recommend.
- Lynne (8/5): enjoyed our stay very much, being in the jungle and rainforest was a welcome respite from the city - well maintained gardens and grounds were lovely/ the massages were fantastic/ hosts were very friendly / staff were exceptional a few things like cushions were a little dated
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kari (10/5): peaceful, lush mountain getaway - Incredible scenery, delicious food. so peaceful.
- Katie (8/5): Very good - food, scenery
