Guest Reviews

- Verified traveler (4/5): - The checkin process was slow - when we arrived, the "receptionist" a young school boy offered us tea and told us to wait downstairs without any explanation. We were hungry and tired after our flight so just wanted to go to our room.
The room - The bathroom was very small though and it had a peculiar smell. The a.c kept leaking and when we reported this to the receptionist - he kept arguing that there was nothing wrong and insisted we show him directly which we did. They said they will get someone to fix it but this didnt happen during our stay.
The breakfast - we were told it was at 8am so we got there promptly but didn't get breakfast until after 9am. We were told we got there too early and they had an issue at the kitchen after we got breakfast.
Leaving - the taxi prices they quoted is more expensive than others but we wanted the security of the booking so we weren't disappointed. We agreed to book the taxi for 3:30am and planned our time appropriately, we left the riad to wait for the driver at the appointed location only to find that the taxi wasn't there. We went back to the riad to discover that the taxi hadn't been booked as agreed and was only ordered at 3:40am after we had to come back to the riad to ask why the taxi hadn't showed up. We were told we had plenty of time for our flight but that is not the point. We had to arrive earlier due to security issues at the airport.
Overall i wouldn't recommend booking this riad as it definitely ruined our experience in Fes
- Marco (10/5): Soddisfatta - Proprietari disponibili, cordiali e simpatici. Colazione abbondante, possibilità di cenare. Tutto molto buono.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is the perfect place to stay in Fes. I can honestly say this is the best experience we have ever had staying in a hotel. The family who owns the property took care of us when we all got sick and went above-and-beyond in every way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. They called a doctor, drove me to the pharmacy, brought us up special tea and soup, and so much more. We tried to pay them for their kindness and help but they wouldn't take any money. I highly recommend staying here. It is safe, clean, comfortable, and close to everything in old Fes. I wish I could give them 50 stars.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Dar Zerbtana
The spacious room was 5 minute walk to the Médina which can provide sight seeing for the whole day.
Very. Clean, Accommodation. The staff were very helpful and professional in answering our questions.
We would not hesitate to recommend Dar Zerbtana to anybody.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent!! Clean, friendly and comfortable - Perfect location, very friendly staff and beautiful room. Very small bathroom, shower literally on top of the toilet but wasn't really a problem. Hot water all the time and really clean place :-) Totally recommendable
- Barbara (2/5): - We booked superior room. communicated 2 weeks prior arrival advising on arrival time.
also was in touch during 10 days trip in Morocco.
when arrived all seem perfect. Staff was friendly. offered tea.etc.
than we were told that superior rooms are in nearby location not in the place we booked ( apparently only small rooms,)
the lady said it was their other hotel, were taken to it. first impression was not great as it was not what we booked. it was town house with no windows outside.....but we got in total shock when shown the ROOM.
could describe it as a prison cell.
when complained to her via what's up , The man returned and shown us other room.
it was bigger and 100 times better but not what we booked. we wanted the raid feel when in Fes not apartment.
the next morning we had to walk for breakfast to Raid.
we didnt mind it despite it would be convenient to eat at place we stayed at night.
when arrived for breakfast we were not asked if all wad fine.not appoligised to or any sort of mention of the accommodation issues.
instead hello we were handed tax bill by the gentleman with a lot of attitude.
breakfast was ok but no fresh fruit or pancakes we had in other places.
the next morning was HEAVY RAIN.
nobody cared if we had breakfast or not..
with 2 kids we were adamant that we not walking 350 m in the rain for breakfasts.
sent message and called them to arrange with our place to prepare breakfast.
all was a lot of stress. made us fill like everybody was making favours
- eric (8/5): - le riad est très bien situé, facile pour se repérer. L'ensemble du personnel est très agréable.
Très bon rapport qualité /prix
- Astrid (10/5): - The Riad is run by the kindest Morrocan family; they elevate hospitality to a new level. Traditional cozy decor, great location and the best staff. Everyone made us feel at home and welcomed and cared to share a bit of culture, tips, and Morrocan traditions. Great place to visit, great place to stay.
