• susanne (8/5): Ruhige, persönliche Unterkunft nahe der Innenstadt und der Themse gelegen mit sehr gutem Frühstück. - Sehr nette Gastgeber. Sehr gutes Frühstück Grosses, helles Zimmer mit Wasserkocher für Tee und Kaffee. Sehr gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar. Ruhige Lage. Jedoch winziges Bad! Waschbecken so klein, dass es mühsam war die Zähne zu putzen.

• Simone (9/5): Super Unterkunft für einen Städtetrip nach London - Herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Tolles -typisch englisches Frühstück- mit Eier, Speck, Bohnen..., Marmeladen, Müsliauswahl, Kaffee, O-Saft. Sehr gute Betten. Lage in der unmittelbarer Nähe (5 min Fußweg) zum Busbahnhof Vauxhall. Fahrt mit dem Bus zu Big Ben oder Trafalgar ca. 20 min. Unser Doppelzimmer war ausreichend groß für 4 Übernachtungen. Zimmer lag leider im Souterrain. Kühlschrank etwas laut.

• Annelies Brouwer (10/5): Wij hebben zo ontzettend genoten dat we de volgende keer absoluut weer naar 69TheGrove willen! - * Ontzettend hartelijk welkom, continu hele vriendelijke service, heel betrokken personeel met goede tips * Prachtige wijk, heel dicht bij het centrum, maar toch heel groen en cozy * Hele schone kamers * Fantastisch ontbijt, met lekker fruit, yoghurt en cereals, maar ook warme ontbijtopties, zoals omelet en full English breakfast, vers gebakken waar je bij staat. Voor mensen die veel ruimte willen, is het wellicht wat klein. Wij hadden hier geen last van. Ik was met mijn dochter van 12 en we hebben zowel op de kamer als in London zelf erg veel plezier gehad.

• Schwedenbine (8/5): Für Sightseeing perfekte Lage - Das Frühstück, insbesondere der Obstsalat, war sehr lecker. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die sensationelle Lage. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich. Typisch britisches Haus. Sehr gutes Bett. Frische Blumen auf dem Zimmer. An der Warmwasserversorgung zum Duschen mangelt es leider. Wenn man morgens nicht als Erster im Haus duscht, ist das Wasser kalt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Kellergeschoss. Das Fenster zu einer bemalten Wand. Uns hat es nicht gestört, wir haben tatsächlich nur dort geschlafen. Wer eine Steckdose für den Fön in Spiegelnähe sucht, findet keine...zumindest nicht in unserem Zimmer. Aber auch das hat uns nicht gestört. Ein großer Bahnhof ist in der Nähe. Man hört die Züge die ganze Nacht. Wir haben trotzdem gut geschlafen.

• Steven (9/5): Lovely B&B with an absolutely astoundingly good breakfast. - First and foremost, the breakfast was absolutely astounding. Home cooked. Full English OR a perfectly crafted omelette with the toppings of my choice. That was so very good. The staff were absolutely lovely too, very welcoming, and great to chat with over breakfast. The location is right next to Vauxhall station (train and Victoria Line) and a 9 minute walk to the Northern Line. Great if you want a night out in Vauxhall and also great if you want to walk along the Thames to see parliament at night.

De b&b is zeer goed gelegen, in een zeer rustige straat, vlakbij metro, bus, trein en rivierbus. Heel erg genoten van het lekkere Engelse ontbijt. Er was niet echt iets dat tegenviel.

• Consuelo (8/5): Nice B&B close to Vauxhall Station - Very cute B&B within walking distance of the Vauxhall Station which made it easy to take a train to points of interest around London. This location is within walking distance of the London Eye, as well as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the Covent Garden Area. But easy enough to take a train or two back after all that walkin. Kanley and David were gracious hosts - very welcoming. There were not as many restaurants as I had expected near the property, but once we mastered the train, we found restaurants near several train stations. The B&B is cute and quaint but has very thin walls. And stepping in and out of the shower was a bit of a challenge for us.

• Frau Stacey (8/5): Cozy B&B close to local transport - The owners were very kind and enjoyed the easy/quick location from the underground (5 mins). The neighborhood felt safe. Breakfast was decent with a shared table with others. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin, and we heard many guest conversations and footsteps up and down the outside stairs. Had an unexpected personal concert at 7:30 from a neighbor and had to go to their room and ask them to stop singing/whistling. Wish there was a thorough cleaning of the showerhead due to heavy mineral buildup and frequent use.

• Alena (9/5): Friendly, cosy stay in a superb location - Accomodating staff, very friendly and approachable, the location is great- first time in Vauxhall but I could get everywhere very easily, lots of nice walks around whilst feeling safe, the bedroom had everything I needed (towels, hair dryer, etc.) with nice flowers welcoming me. It's a very homely stay where breakfast you are sat around the table with other people staying there so you get a chance to meet them.

Le lit était grand comme annoncé et le B&B était situé près dune station de métro La Sdb était minuscule (2m2) et la douche coulait, ce qui faisait du bruit pendant la nuit, le petit frigo faisait également du bruit à toute heure, les châssis simple vitrage laissaient également filtrer beaucoup de bruit… Le déjeuner devait se prendre dans une autre maison de la rue ce qui obligeait à se protéger de la pluie pour aller manger

• Rosetta Marzia (8/5): Bella vacanza a Londra - Bella casa tipicamente londinese in un quartiere tranquillo a pochi passi dai mezzi di trasporto (autobus e metro). La camera era spaziosa, calda e pulita. Prodotti da bagno disponibili. Molto gradita la presenza in camera degli adattatori elettrici per caricare i cellulari. Buona la colazione tipica inglese (uova, bacon) ma anche yogurt e marmellate. Ottima la ciotola di frutta mista fresca ogni mattina. Forse il bagno era un po' piccolino.

Il B&B è in una zona tranquilla, si sentono gli aerei ma siamo in una città ed è più che normale. Unica pecca: il bagno è veramente piccolo. Una persona alta avrebbe difficoltà visto che tra gabinetto e parete c'è veramente pochissimo spazio, questo nella nostra stanza, magari nelle altre stanze i bagni sono più grandi, però per evitare spiacevoli sorprese meglio chiedere prima di riservare.

Kanley and David are terrific hosts, who make everyone feel welcome, and their staff are very attentive and accomodating. Their rooms are invariably clean and comfortable, breakfasts are top notch. I would definitely stay here again! The buildings are older, and definitely have character, so there are stairs, which can be narrow, and maybe not ideal for people with mobility issues. That is not a complaint, just an observation.

• Kimberly (10/5): - I had and extremely enjoyable stay at 69TheGrove. Check in was easy. I stayed in a room in the building across the street where breakfast was served between 8 and 9 daily (full, cooked breakfast during the week and Saturday). My room was clean, fresh, and in decent repair (door handle in bathroom loose but functional). There were fresh roses and a small refrigerator with set-up for tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room. I had requested a fan with my booking and it was in the room. The small fridge had water and soft drinks in it for purchase. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom is cozy and fatter people may find it cramped. I found the room the perfect size for me as a solo traveler but one of my fellow guests thought the rooms were too small. Cleanliness never an issue. Location is close to tube stations at Vauxhall or Oval and numerous bus stops. Small area on the roof for smokers as facility is nonsmoking. I found the rooftop to be a plant-filled, calm space to eat my take-away meals (I do not smoke). Breakfasts very fillling and there was always fresh mixed fruit, yogurt, cereals, and orange juice on the table. Hot breakfast included options for full English breakfast, omlettes, or porridge. Tea and coffee were offered almost instantly once one sat down for the meal. Staff is delightful and highly competent. A lovely, first-class operation!
