• Rachel (8/5): Handy location and great staff - Nice and clean. Nice room, easily accessible with my own TV and air-conditioning available. There was tea and coffee available as well as some cereal for breakfast. Also some communal left over foods to use which was handy. Everything you need in a kitchen including an air fryer! Lovely outside area with some herbs by the looks but it was raining so didn't get a close look Its not a place to sleep in or stay asleep with loud doors to each of the rooms. Very hard to shut quietly and some people didn’t think to try during their trips to the shared bathrooms at night. Also some early riser workers who could learn how to shut doors quietly when they leave at 4.30am. As well as guys who didn't think to shut the door while having a wee. Not a pleasant experience. Great to have free parking but its a bit tight with bigger cars to actually fit in easily. I also found it weird not to have a top sheet though the blanket/duvet was nice and light.

• Robert (8/5): Helpful staff, great location, reasonable price - Very helpful staff on both days, the hotel, was clean and tidy, it was as advertised, central to the CBD, and the ocean. It was convenient for the purpose I needed but only overnight so the review is simple. Breakky was simple and help yourself. Nothing really - the advert was spot on - nothing fancy but adequate for the purpose.

• Michaela (10/5): Exceptional value for money and in great location. - Exceptional value for money. The rooms are tiny so the motel suits adventurers who just need a place to sleep at night. We really appreciated the complimentary breakfast cereals and milk and our toddler was beyond excited for the bunk bed! The staff were extremely friendly and the place was clean. Our room had poor ventilation but it wasn't a huge issue.

• Nelmae (10/5): - This is a little hidden Gem in Caloundra, have been staying here for years with the previous owner who had extremely high standards which have obviously been carried forward. It's a real pleasure to stau here. Much more than meets the eye, excellent staff and the extra provisions are perfect. Only difference is seperate shared showers which are nicely appointed & spotless. Will always be our go to accommodation when in Caloundra for it's location, close to beach and all shops plus value for money. There is nothing to dislike!

• Patrick (8/5): Handy to Caloundra and the beach, Motel Sunshine Coast is a pleasant stay. - Motel Sunshine Coast is a short walk from Bulcock Beach and the main cafes, restaurants and other activities in Caloundra. The room itself was air conditioned and very comfortable, the (shared) bathroom facilities were very clean and well-maintained and the kitchen was very well equipped and even supplied some basics. Nothing.

• Nerelle (8/5): Feeling sad - Jazz was excellent . Very welcoming , she remembered me and my name and the comment I wrote in my review of running out of weetbix. Which she restocked. Thankyou Jazz. My alarm woke me up at 9.30 am and I had to be out of the motel by 10 am which I was. However the man banged on my door about 9.45am to tell me I had to be out by 10 am. I was dressed and packed but felt rushed to be out which I didn’t get a chance to shower, brush my teeth or have breakfast. This is the first time this has happened and has left me feeling unwelcome. I am homeless.

• Leah (4/5): Didn't even stay there due to no toilet or bathroom in room. Inconvenient with a child. - Wasn't aware there was a shared bathroom and no water, tap or sink in room. Basic room. Air-con was good, bed linen and towels clean, room clean enough, bed comfortable enough - but not private, very small, hard to move around in. Good just to sleep only and have to walk past all room through narrow corridore to shared bathrooms up the back. Not what I was expecting. Shared bathrooms and location of bathrooms. Have to walk past all other rooms to get to it. We were right down the end, but have to walk past everyone's room door to get there. I don't recal it being clear when I booked that there was not even a toilet in the room, that all facilities are shared.

• Pauline (8/5): Sunshine in & out! - Clean, friendly staff. Noise echo as known residents moved in & out of room from Midnight to 4am!! Regulation of quiet time needs to be confirmed as apparently this person washes her clothes late at night regularly. Suggest laundry closed at 9pm at least. Prefer rooms 1 or 14 in future. Bikes need maintenance or new ones for availability as advertised. Safety on bikes were appalling. Thanks lovely helpful staff. Looking forward to seeing yas in future.

The person who welcomed us was very kind and helpful, which made our stay even better. Everything was good during our stay. No complaints.

• Christina (9/5): Wahnsinnig gut ausgestattet - Das Motel hat wirklich alles, was man braucht. Es gibt eine Möglichkeit zum Grillen, zum Kochen (es gibt Gewürze, die einem meist fehlen, wenn man als Backpacker unterwegs ist), es gibt sogar einen Airfryer. Um das Hotel herum gibt es schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten und drinnen ebenfalls. Sogar einen Billardtisch gibt es. Die Matratze war vielleicht ein klein wenig durchgelegen, aber ich fand es trotzdem sehr bequem. Der Checkin war problemlos und schnell. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass die Parkplätze nicht immer ausreichend (ich habe bei meiner Ankunft den letzten ergattern können), aber da nebenan ein riesiger Parkplatz ist, sollte das eigentlich kein Problem sein. Eventuell würden die Duschen und Toiletten bei voller Belegung knapp werden (zwei Duschen und zwei Toiletten) bei über 20 Zimmern. War bei mir aber kein Problem. Ich war allerdings auch schon gegen 5:30 Uhr duschen.

• tim (10/5): An Aussie Long Weekend Bargain find on the Sunshine Coast at peak Holiday Season. - We loved everything from the super friendly staff, from check inn to departure. Jess was super helpful, showed how to cook our (AUST DAY!) sausages in the communal kitchen Air Fryer. To think for $108 for a modern clean double room with A/C, smart TV and fridge, free onsite parking, shared bathroom, big back deck, next door to Woolies and a 10 min walk to Golden Beach. A lucky find on our Nations Long weekend Australia Day. A Gem on Golden Beach Caloundra for 1/3 of other Motels rates at peak holiday season. We will be back, for the layed back homely feel you get as you settle inn. Shared bathrooms / Laundry were modern clean and functional. We really liked the free Tea/Coffee in the communal kitchen. Two big fridges to store your food, as guests leave, they leave their excess treats in the Free Pantry, ie vegies, tin food, Wheetbix. I compared this Motel to a backpackers style with open plan living and shared areas, but you get your own room, no noisy parties here or drunken behavior, its safe clean, Cameras everywhere, onsite Night Manager doors close at 9pm. THE BEST VALUE IN CALOUNDRA at peak Holiday Season. That we couldn't stay longer, it was booked out.
