• Joachim (8/5): - Wer keinen Luxus braucht und erwartet, ist im allamanda gut aufgehoben. Sehr positiv zu werden ist,dass die Unterkunft Trinkwasser zum Nachfüllen anbietet. Fällt doch das lästige Wasserflaschen kaufen und heim tragen weg. Hinweis noch für Läufer*innen. Im anschließenden verkehrsberuhigten Wohngebiet lässt sich nach Google Maps eine schöne Runde zusammen stellen. Die Strandstrasse ist dafür eher weniger geeignet. Sitzkissen für dir Esstisch- Stühle würden etwas mehr Komfort bieten. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau.

• Nazim (10/5): excellent séjour! - Le séjour s'est très bien passé. Nous nous sommes senti comme à la maison. L'appartement est grand, confortable et bien équipé. Un service de nettoyage appréciable. Mr Hari a été très disponible pour nous permettre d'avoir un trés agreable séjour. Nous sommes bien situés au nord à 3 min de la plage de Peyrebère, à 5 min de Grand Baie, 22 min de la plage de mon choisy. Parfait!
• Cramatte (10/5): - Die Wohnung ist gemütlich, geräumig, praktisch, funktional und sauber. Die Küche ist mit guten, gesunden Kochutensilien und einem großen Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Im Erdgeschoss stehen zwei Waschmaschinen zur Verfügung. Im Hof wachsen Obstbäume, wie Mangos, Bananen, Papayas und Kokosnüssen, die Sie sich gerne pflücken können. Der wunderschöne Strand ist nur 100 Meter entfernt. Der Vermieter und das gesamte Personal sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The apartment has everything you need: parking, a full kitchen, laundry, AC, a hot shower, and more. I believe they also have a swimming pool, but I’m not completely sure since I didn’t use it. The hosts were very responsive and friendly- communication was easy. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended. Nothing

• Sonia (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay in this apartment. It was spacious and comfortable, with a bedroom, a large kitchen, and a nice terrace — everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The owner was very kind, friendly, and easy to communicate with, which made everything simple and enjoyable. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the sea and right next to a very good diving school. It’s an ideal place for anyone interested in diving or planning to take courses such as Open Water Diver. Overall, I can truly recommend this apartment both for relaxation and for diving enthusiasts.

• Keith (10/5): Good, basic accommodation for those on a budget! - 3rd year here in 1 bed apartment for month of March. Furniture is dated but entirely functional and everything you need is provided... fans, aircon, towels, fridge, microwave, kettle, gas rings, filtered water plus sufficient cooking utensils. Bedding changed every 3/4 days and cleaning by maids efficient. Accommodation is simple and basic in a good location for those on a budget. I look forward to returning again.

My late checking in, my transport and my last day checking out has never been so looked after. The value is far beyond what’s been paid for. I have a kitchen, big fridge, balcony to hang clothes, closet to keep my stuff, a safe and much more. Would highly recommend.

Location is close to a main road, shops and restaurants. Owner arranged a taxi from airport for a reasonable charge. I had 2 bedroom apartment, which does not have air conditioning, but May-Aug season should be perfectly fine. Rooms and kitchen size was big enough.

• Jakub (10/5): Exceptional Stay with Great Service and a Personal - Everything was great! The cleaning service was excellent, with a thorough cleaning every second day. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. He even brought us fresh papaya from his garden. The owner arranged a taxi for us from the airport, and the driver was waiting for us in the arrivals hall with a sign showing our name. When we arrived at the accommodation, the owner was there to greet us. He also came to say goodbye when we left and regularly checked in during our stay to make sure everything was fine. We stayed here for three weeks and were very happy with the experience.
• Samantha (8/5): - Lovely little place to stay in Nothern Mauritius. The owner is very helpful, sends messages on WhatsApp to make sure everything is okay. He wasn't there when I checked in and I did find the staff that showed me to my room weren't as good, they didn't explain anything so I had to work it out myself! But if you can message the owner he will get back to you promptly. Room cleaned regularly, some ants in the kitchen, but that's to be expected in a tropical country, I just kept my food in the cupboards and off the work surfaces. Winner supermarket in Pereybere walkable, and lots of bus stops on the way towards Grand Baie. Lovely beach in Pereybere, I recommend walking to that one rather than the one in Bain Boeuf. Overall a lovely stay, I would stay here again 😊

• Keith (10/5): Second months stay.... so that should say it all! - Not long returned from my second month long stay at Allamanda (previous visit March 2023). Quiet location just across the road from beach with other access to bathing beaches close by. Stayed in 1 bed apt 2nd floor with small balcony, table & chairs plus some washing line. Use of washing machines downstairs if needed but i just did handwash now and again. Good cheap buses (stop outside) and on site parking with economical car hire down the road. Owner Hari usually around somewhere but can contact on WhatsApp if ever needed. Friendly cleaning staff do excellent service. Some furniture is now a bit dated but more than serviceable. This is clean affordable budget price accommodation, with hot solar shower and fans plus aircon comfort is assured in 30+ degrees! Separate lounge, toilet, bedroom, shower and kitchen with sink, gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and cooking utensils if eating in. In downstairs entrance there is now a filtered drinking water tap to use as required which is useful. The property is located in North of island about 80 minute taxi ride, my return journey (courtesy of Hari) cost 1800 Rupees plus tip. As i only had hand luggage, on arrival i opted to take 3 buses from airport to Bain Boeuf (about 4 hours) to see the island en route, cost just over 100 Rupees but not recommended with luggage! If U R looking for an excellent, basic, but more than adequate place for a holiday on a budget with nearby beaches and restaurants....I recommend you stay here.

• Thomas (7/5): Good - Ideally situated close to the beach and bus station. Not on the main street and easy to park. Would have been nice to have at least one trash bag in the bin. Quite difficult to put my trash in there after cooking without making a mess. Also sound proofing of the exterior would be nice since you can hear the dogs at 4 am and the neighbors doing their roof at 7 in the morning. Regarding quiet hours it would be appreciated if those would also apply to the washing machine as some people were doing their laundry quite late and as noticed in the confirmation the rooms are not soundproof.

• Maria (9/5): Very nice host - Hari, the owner, was very helpful and nice. He gave me a few recommendations of places to have dinner. The place was very clean and the area quiet. I had my own terrace so it was very nice to get some sun early in the morning. The room had a big water bottle for the guests use. Water from the shower wasn't very strong, so i struggled a bit to take a shower. I was in the second floor so maybe that's the reason.
• Goolam (10/5): - Within few minutes walk from the beach. Clean throughout. Has fans as well as AC (it was cool during out stay and we did not have to use the AC). Ample parking space around the back. Nice well equipped kitchenette. Free and fast Wifi. I was also impressed that the washing machine was free to use (in some other parts of the world they would have a coin machine to charge for washing machine use). Unless our next stay is in the south of the island, I might reconsider booking there again.

• Tuğba (10/5): Great experience! - Hari and his family were really helpful and nice. The apartment is clean, security and location is great. Tec Scuba Diving school was right next to the house. Beaches, massage spa, cafe, restaurant, shopping and entertainment center are very close to Allamanda. Netflix, kitchen utensils, drinking water, washing machine, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed our stay there. I would definitely recommend. Construction work in the apartment next door on Sunday.

When I arrived it was hard to find anyone and reception was closed. A fact sheet in the room would be nice about WiFi and checkout procedures etc.

Baine Boeuf Beach and Perebery are easy to reach, winners supermarket about 10 min. by foot. Bus Stop nearby. We really enjoyed our stay there.Thank you again! Not very disturbing, but still to mention as of April 23: Some construction noise and barking dogs during the night.

• Tuomas (9/5): Strongly recommended - Host was super friendly and any small questions or issues we had were solved very quickly via whatsapp. Location was perfect, 2 minutes to closest beach and 1 minute to our dive center. The apartment was easy to find and there was plenty of space to park. I don't think you can find a better price for accomodation in this area, I'll definitely stay here again if I return to Mauritius! I have no complaints, but it's worth noting that there aren't really restaurants nearby and it's not easy to walk in the area due to lack of sidewalks. Getting around by car felt way easier than walking.

• Sophia (5/5): Passable - Unfortunately not a lot. - the floor was not clean (our feet got very dirty walking barefoot in the room) - the entrance-door was half broken - not very comfortable at all The owner/manager showed us the room, apologized for the bad state of the room but Said that this is the only one available. Maybe it would be better not to rent out rooms, which needs reparation. We would not come back to this place.
• Sologirl (10/5): Great base to explore Mauritius on a budget - The location was nice across the road from a quiet beach. It had safe secure parking if you rent a car. It was kept so clean with cleaning ladies every day or two who did a fabulous job. All the staff were very friendly and accomadating and can help you with anything. WiFi was good and worked the whole time we were there. Would recommend this as a great base for exploring the island and keeping costs low by cooking yourself. It's possible to stay their without a car as there's public transport but a car would be better. Not much restaurants nearby you need to walk 20-30 mins for them but that's ok as it's a nice safe walk.

The owners live onsite.. so it was easy to check in and get the keys Door locks are old skeleton key style, and would not lock from the inside, but the staff and I came up with a solution. • BENJAMIN (10/5): - Hari is hands-down the most helpful and chill Host we've seen. We were on a 3rd floor and noticed a brand new wifi router outside our door, which never failed. As such, this is a great work remote option. Allamanda is set back from the main road and because it's just north of Perryebere, the street noise is minimal. A Winner's grocery nearby. Best to have a car rental to get to the better beaches Mon Choisy and Trou aux Biches. And Super U Grand Bay. The outdoor patio is cute and perfect for a table for two and bottle of red. Enjoy!
• Richard (8/5): Clean and simple - The apartment block is set a little way back from the main road. There is a gate giving s degree of security into the property. Bearing in mind this is a low cost option around the £20 a night level, you are not going to get a lot. What I got is a large apartment, a balcony and a simply furnished space. The main line address has a large table and a couple of plastic chairs which double up for the balcony. Some other additional form of seating would be a great addition to the room. The small kitchen had a full size refrigerator a dual gas hob and a microwave. Which is enough to prepare a simple meal, in terms of cutlery and utensils think none and you won't be disappointed ! There is a safe in the bedroom Google how to set it up. The bed is comfortable with Aircon in there too. The balcony depending on which room you are in its nothing to write home about but pleasant enough. The area is slightly too far from Perrybee to walk at night down an input road, but taxis are always around. All in all a good low cost place to stay. I'll go 8 out of 10, a better sitting area and more kitchen utensils would have it at a10 based on bang for your buck. If I am ever in that area of Mauritius would I stay again? Yes.

• Vidya (6/5): Memory lane visit to Mauritius. - The picture about the beaches and the stairs to the Beau Bain beaches on the website were misleading. It appears that the hotel is a beachfront property and it was not. That is the reason I booked because from the website photos it looks that it was a beachfront property. When I reached there it was not and was disappointed. The beach was across the road. Otherwise overall the property was good, WIFI great, the owner very friendly, supportive and helpful. For a budget apartment, the prices matched them. I was a little surprised to find that soap, shampoo and other bathroom necessities were not provided. If you want to do your own cooking great property. Public transportation great. Grand Baie was not to far and hence shopping was great.

• Jai (8/5): Great place for the price. Good location and clean - If coming from North America, you will initially be taken aback from the place. I came around 8:00PM and the place was very dark, and the man in charge was not very helpful. Just told me, my unit is at the back. I had to drag three suitcases in the dark narrow alley and after some confusions, I was able to find my unit. It is on the third floor with no elevators. After the initial shock, I found the place to be airy, clean and big enough to be comfortable. I wanted a self catered place because of allergies and wanted to eat our own food.
