We loved everything about the property. Beautiful grounds, the bungalows were spectacular and ocean was clean and beautiful. Restaurants were very nice and you could walk around the property and everything was close by. Food was delicious! We loved the staff, room service, beach, taco bar, events, drinks. And best of all, Daniel and Enrique went above and beyond! We appreciated them so much! It’s going to be hard to top this vacation. There was nothing we didn’t like. • Keegan (10/5): Above and beyond anything we could’ve imagined for our honeymoon. - My wife and I came here for our honeymoon in October 2025, and we were absolutely blown away by this resort. Every single expectation we had was exceeded from the moment we arrived at the El Dorado property. As soon as we pulled up, we were greeted as “Mr. and Mrs. Jones” and handed cold eucalyptus towels — a small touch that set the tone for what would be an incredible week. Alberto welcomed us right away, loaded our luggage onto a golf cart, and gave us a tour of the property on the way to our room. By the time we arrived at the Palafitos area, he already knew us by name and made us feel completely at home. That’s when we met our butler, William, who gave us an overview of the property, restaurants, and activities available to Palafitos guests. He also set up a WhatsApp chat for us with himself and our evening butler, Aldo, which became our go-to for everything — from ordering room service to booking excursions or asking simple questions. Our overwater bungalow was stunning — easily one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having both indoor and outdoor showers, a jacuzzi, a private pool, and even direct access to the ocean from our deck. The glass floors in the room were such a unique feature — we could literally watch fish swimming beneath us! The food was phenomenal. Every meal at the Palafitos restaurant was exceptional, easily some of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, William and Aldo went above and beyond — surprising us with a private six-course dinner and a romantic breakfast in our bungalow the next morning. We also took full advantage of the activities — from a catamaran and snorkeling trip to a cave diving excursion, kayaking, and even renting jet skis. As Palafitos guests, we also had access to the hydrotherapy spa, which we visited twice and absolutely loved (especially the sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and hot tub). Nothing

• Tom (9/5): Schönes Resort mit Potential bei den Details - Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt mit sehr zuvorkommendem und freundlichem Personal, gutem Essen und gutem Animationsprogramm. Die Unterkünfte und der Strand (zumindest am ersten Tag) waren ebenfalls schön. Es waren die Details, die einen etwas faden Beigeschmack hatten, einige ausgewählte Beispiele: 1. Sehr langsame Reaktion auf schriftliche Anfragen im Vorfeld (mehrere Tage Bearbeitungszeit). 2. Kostenloser Airport transfer: Mir gelang es nicht, diesen mit 3 Wochen Vorlauf (!) zu arrangieren! Man versuchte mich zunächst an einen kommerziellen Anbieter zu vermitteln, weitere Anfragen wurden nicht beantwortet. In dem Standardbegrüßungsschreiben teilte man mir schließlich eine mexikanische Rufnummer mit der Bitte mit, den Transfer 72h im Voraus telefonisch zu arrangieren... 3. More Inclusive paket und Informationen bei Anreise: Insgesamt waren die erhaltenen Informationen eher dürftig und für die inkludierten Exkursionen und Aktivitäten musste man sehr gezielt nachfragen. Die eigentliche Durchführung erfolgte durch "Lomastravel." Ich muss dazusagen, dass ich kein Fan von solchen Pauschalgruppentouren bin und der 3,5 stündige Ausflug mit dem Catamaran war ein solcher typischer Ausflug: Wir fuhren mit dem Catamaran vom angrenzenden Maromar beach zu zwei Schnorchelstellen, von denen die erste nicht weit weg von unserem Bungalow lag; mit einem Kayak hätte ich das scneller geschafft. Stattdessen laute Musik und Alkohol an Bord - wer es mag.. Für die wave runner gab es ein sehr begrenztes more inclusive Kontingent, das sehr schnell ausgeschöpft war... 4. Ich verstehe, dass man gegen Natureinflüsse manchmal machtlos ist, aber man kann diese - insbesondere wenn sie periodisch auftreten - zumindest mitigieren. Durch auflandige Winde wurde eine Menge "Sargassum" (Braunalgen) in die Bucht getrieben. Leider war man mit dem Abtransport der Mengen über den gesamten Strandabschnitt überfordert und der Geruch intensivierte sich von Tag zu Tag. Glücklicherweise hatten wir eine Overwater villa mit direktem Zugang zum Wasser, vom Strand aus war es sehr unangenehm bzw. unmöglich ins Wasser zu kommen (siehe Bilder). 5.

Every single thing about our stay was above and beyond, from the room service for every meal if we wanted (the room service breakfast on our private ocean view patio was our favorite!!!), the outings and parties and activities all included, like kayaking, snorkeling, catamaran, the Mexican party with Mayan dancers and mariachi and authentic Mexican cuisine, the staff were all absolutely amazing and kind and went above and beyond, especially Alberto, Will, Danny, Leobardo, Josue, Marlene, Shirim, everyone was just so kind and friendly and the attention to detail in every aspect was incredible. The outdoor shower, HUGE jacuzzi, private pool on our deck, private tanning deck with sea stairs into the ocean, the bed was so comfortable, we just felt like royalty and never wanted to leave. We will be back again and again!!! Everything was perfect- not ONE bad thing to say!

EVERYTHING is designed to make sure you have a relaxing experience. The restaurant is wonderful. Though there are other restaurants on the property, we only visited the Caribbean once, and it couldn't even compare to Palafitos. You can have your lunch brought to you to your Bali bed. Having breakfast on our balcony was delightful. Having a butler was a nice touch. Fernanda was very attentive! Alberto was very friendly and helpful, remembered everyone's name. The beach attendant stole the show-Outstanding, excellent!!! He definitely loves his job. Made our stay extra special!!! Palafitos restaurant breakfast and lunch manager was so kind and went an extra mile 🙌 ALL Palafitos staff were next level, compared to other resorts we stayed at. Cannot get any better than the bungalows. The private deck and plunge pool was so nice. Used the outdoor shower. Just a step into the beautiful ocean. The beaches were clean. Our butlers made sure there was a Bali bed available for lunch and an afternoon siesta. No stress in getting the perfect beach location. Service on the beach was amazing. Food was great. This is the place for you if you have allergies. My husband is gluten allergic. All menu items were labeled. Staff always asked about allergies and assured us when the food was delivered that it was in fact gluten free. Sooo nice. All the food tasted great. Never had a bad meal. Most quiet and relaxing resort we have ever been to. Our butler helped us book a tour of Tulum ruins through Lomas. Very easy process and we were able to design our day and had a tour guide, Jesus Huet, all day to ourselves- was excellent! Cons: not really a con but just a note- the butlers are so attentive that they come around a lot during the day. Use the ‘do not disturb’ door hanger if you do not want to be disturbed. Nothing bad to say about Palafitos. Would definitely come back!

Can’t say enough about the accommodations, atmosphere, service, food, and friendly staff. The grounds people worked so hard everyday to keep it beautiful. Includes private airport shuttle to pristine Maroma Beach with access to your personal cabanas available with picnic lunch. Plus you have access to all restaurants, bars, and pools at adjacent sister property, El Dorado Maroma. Our bungalow included several glass bottom floors, stocked minibars, and anytime free room service for breakfast, lunch or dinner on your balcony (complete with private infinity pool, outdoor shower, lower deck with direct stair access to the beautiful blue water) and your personal butler to help with all reservations and requests. Completely pampered. Best EVER!

• George (10/5): Best Staff - Absolutely the best staff and service, we travel and have traveled extensively from adventures ( Antartica, safari, Kilimanjaro ) to relaxing ( Viking River Cruise, all over Europe. S America ) ....treat yourself and go here.
• Richard (5/5): Personally I feel the Palafitos is priced way too high. I regret spending what we did. - The location was nice and the beaches beautiful and well manicured. The bungalow was of decent size but the furnishings dated. The food was good and the service acceptable. The lighting in the bathroom and dressing area was terrible. We had to use a flashlight to find cloths we put in the closet. The patio and deck furniture was uncomfortable and dated as well. Our plunge pool kept running low on water and made loud sucking/gurgling sounds and kept us awake or woke us up. Adding water didn't fix the problem. The "Butler" concept is poor. We had several different butlers and we didn't know the proper one to call or text. The only way to get room service was through the butler so we went without. We weren't notified of special events on the property or adjoining properties. A daily flyer or some method of notification aside from the butler would have helped.

• Tevia (10/5): Pure Paradise: A VIP Experience at Palifatos Overwater Bungalows - Palifatos Overwater Bungalows exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the 24/7 butler service made us feel like true VIPs. The food was absolutely 5-star, with every meal being a culinary delight. The location is perfection—crystal clear waters, vibrant marine life visible through the glass-bottom floors, and stunning views at every turn. The private cabana service with picnic lunches added a touch of luxury to our beach days, and the evening entertainment on the beach was a perfect way to unwind. The spa experience was nothing short of incredible—pure relaxation! Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully planned, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special on our anniversary and throughout our trip. Palifatos is a true slice of paradise, and we can't wait to return! Nothing really. We went on an all-day excursion to Isla Mujeres and we were very disappointed. We should have just stayed on the property all week!

We could also enjoy the activities and restaurants at their sister hotel next door which is a short walking distance. Thanks!
• Diane (10/5): - Me and my husband celebrated our 15 year anniversary and were treated like royalty throughout our whole trip. The staff treated us as if we were the only ones on the resort and were available for us 24/7 and always checked on us and our needs. El Dorado Resort was also very well maintained and had beautiful grounds, restaurants, beach, and pools.
• Tannesha (10/5): - This was the best resort I've stayed at. The attention to customer service was amazing. We had 2 butlers Samantha and Janet that they went over and beyond for us. From the beach service to the restaurant and room service we wanted for nothing. I've never been on a resort where the food was amazing every meal. Definitely can't wait to return.

I could never say enough how wonderful the bungalows were, how amazing the staff was (shout out to Aimee and Fernando!!!). Our stay was absolutely perfect, the food was amazing and the views are legitimately paradise.
• sheila (6/5): - We booked elite bungalows on the water and yet four of the 10 ocean facing bungalow rooms have an ugly water barrier in front of ocean. It’s disappointing and also as it is misleading from photos on the hotel website. We were moved two rooms away yet it’s imperative the hotel needs to inform the consumer in advance to spending $1,800 a night! Staff is excellent but in no way can I recommend this property

• Jennifer (10/5): - WOW What an absolutely exceptional experience. The bungalows are luxurious and filled with peekaboo windows to the water below. The private balcony and pools are the cherry on top; if we were at the room I was in the pool. The outdoor shower and Jacuzzi tub make for the best bathing experiences. The service is absolutely top notch, our butlers Janet and Pilar went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The Palafitos restaurant is a dining experience like no other. The multi course meals are works of art and if you are lucky enough to eat during a themed night, it is an experience you will literally never forget. The views are incredible and all amenities are easily accessible and readily available. You will absolutely not regret booking here, I cannot recommend this hotel higher. Before the end of our stay we were already planning our next stay here.
• MAYKEL (10/5): - We had an amazing experience at the Palafitos. Everything and everyone exceeded our expectations. From the bellboy Alberto to our butlers Enrique and Fernando, they were all fantastic! Their service and constant attention was outstanding. The food was amazing and very well presented. The rooms unforgettable. I loved all of it. We had our own pool and beach. We were celebrating our 15 wedding anniversary and they made it very special. We had a private heart dinner by the beach and it was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. It was very romantic. Highly recommended for couples.

• jaman (8/5): Beautiful, great staff/service - Beautiful resort with great service. Our Butlers Samantha and William made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Shout out to the sommelier Miguel for giving advice on tequila and wine during our stay. There isn't much to do on the resort but if you want a relaxing stay Palafitos has it.
• Perry parviz (10/5): - Very beautiful, excellent friendly staff, great food, very clean, very quiet, very safe. Do not fall for the "sales consultation". Total waste of time and rip off. Stay clear no matter what they offer you. Other than that very bad "sales" experience, the stay was wonderful. Don't feel bad to tell them no!
