Guest Reviews
- Shwei (10/5): Wonderful place to stay. - Lots of beds, bathrooms, comfortable sofas, large TV and pool table. Nothing
- Tori (9/5): - Was a great big house for how many kids/ adults we had. Great utilities and tv plus lovely and warm house Nothing was a great stay

- Anna (9/5): - It was clean, spacious, well stocked, and in an excellent location. Great value for money. The shower in the back room didn't drain well.

- Maria (10/5): Thank you for the luxery and such a well set up place. Also really appreciated that the heat pump had been turned on for - We loved it. We nicknamed it “the palace”. Great way for us to do the Abel Tasman walk over 3 days using the local water taxis to take us in and out to different parts of the track each day. It was awesome. Nothing we didn’t like.
- debbie (10/5): - As always a wonderful stay. Thanks Colin!!
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): A fantastic location and incredibly well-equipped home. - Colin and his wife were lovely. We arrived earlier than anticipated but Colin was able to let us in early as they'd just finished cleaning. The house was fantastic, it far exceeded our expectations. It was fully equipped to cater to large crowds of people and came equipped with an abundance of everything you could ever think of from bed linens and towels to a well-stocked kitchen with multiple fridges and a cupboard filled with board games. Anything you could think of for a house, it had, and it had ample of.
The home was also perfectly situated, with a cafe and small convenience store at the end of the road which sits across from the beach and walking tracks.
This was our first time returning to New Zealand having moved abroad pre-COVID and it was so lovely to be able to catch up with all of our friends from Uni in one place at one time.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful house. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Tim (7/5): Good -
- Tami (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (1/5): Dangerous electrics - Position was good & lady that clean the property very pleasant.
Electrics dangerous, my friend ended up being taken by ambulance to Nelson hospital after being electrocuted from the upstairs light switch.
A few too many cockroaches.
- Lynda (10/5): Nice place to come back to, after a day out. - Lovely place, had everything you needed when staying away from home, great location Private, a place to relax in, walking distance to beach, cafe, water taxis
- Lynda (8/5): Brilliant location - Location is brilliant, we walked everywhere easily.
Absolutely everything you need in the kitchen, lovely outdoor area.
Really nice house so we felt very relaxed and plenty of room for lots of guests if you are a big group. Booking.com double booked our last night. We had asked to stay an extra night and had been told it was okay but our booking never got updated even though we paid. It was awkward sharing a house with strangers, although there was plenty of room.
Previous occupants had left cups and glasses really dirty and coffee grounds in the machine. Not a big deal but a bit odd, why put dishes away unwashed.... Not something you would normally check as a property manager I don't think.
- Trimmings (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed for 6 nights. A lovely well maintained home with everything needed for accomodating large groups and entertaining both inside and outside.
4 large bedrooms inside and separate sleep out outside.
Quick responses from Colin the owner and detailed information provided about the house. Highly recommend 👌 Upstairs shower on right. Found the hot cold taps hard to regulate but other than that nothing else
- Sharon (10/5): Highly recommend this house if you’re wanting a comfy stay in a lovely home while you’re in Marahau, we loved it - The home is huge and very well equipped for large gatherings, the photos don’t really do it justice. We were part of a larger group who were staying down the road so the location was perfect for that and it’s also a short walk from the entrance to the Abel Tasman national park. We had great weather for the long weekend so we were able to use the outdoor area which is sheltered and sunny and has plenty of outdoor seating and tables. The kitchen is well equipped with all you would need including a large fridge inside and another out by the BBQ. The TV is massive and modern, if that’s your thing and the pool table is a great asset for groups. So glad we booked this house, it was a treat to walk into and a little bit sad to leave. Can’t really think of anything important, there’s prickles in the lawn so take jandals but that’s a comment not an issue.
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Great location close to activities - It was a great location. We were able to walk to restaurants, hiking and activities. It is also a very nice home with plenty of space, a nice kitchen and a pool table.

- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceeded our expectations and will definately be booking again - This property was absolutely perfect for a big family get together , we were all amazed at how well equipped it was and the bedrooms were fantastic and super spacious , the property is fully fenced which was great for the kids and when it came time to leave no one wanted to go ! The hosts were great and the location of this property was superb ! Just a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach Nothing

- Jordana (10/5): Lovely house in Marahau - Lovely house with fantastic facilities and in a great location.
Easy check-in and good communication from host.
Would highly recommend.
- Jo (8/5): Fabulous place to stay. Thank you for sharing your home - Big open space. The amenities were fantastic and the house was well equipped. The late check in ( although the house was ready and open at 3.30pm). Thank you to your cleaners for having the house ready early. No sports TV channel so couldn’t watch the cricket final. 🥴No sky open channel.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Having the use of the yard and BBQ was nice. Plus the nice huge couch that all 3 of us could fit on and relax after a huge day of hiking the Able Tasman. The kitchen and all the choice of appliances was nice. Some I haven’t seen elsewhere in other homes, during this trip The shower on the main level was extremely hard to figure out where the hot water was. I let it run for about 3 minutes on each extreme end and never got hot water, so I had to use the one upstairs.
- Richard (8/5): Exceptional accommodation - Spacious, well-equipped, great location Nothing
- Pam (10/5): Exceptional - Room for everyone, kitchen well supplied with, impeccably clean N/A
- Monique (8/5): Very good - Awesome set up .plenty of room .
Clean and comfortable The flooring tiles were very slippery
- Donna (9/5): Superb - The house was awesome really enjoyed our stay The dryer was hard to work out then it didn't work long enough to dry the clothes, otherwise it was great
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Aimee (10/5): - Lovely home, great amenities, so much space! We would definitely stay again, thank you
- Ross (8/5): Pleasant stay for a group of seven which would also have accommodated a much larger group with great - There were coffee making facilities in the house but unfortunately there was no milk so we were unable to feed our coffee addiction.
- Nigel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Just what we needed for a large group after doing the Abel Tasman walk - Great location for a large group, owner easy to contact
- Cherie (10/5): we stayed for an extended Whanau birthday weekend, we all loved our stay and will book again. - location, size, cleanliness, facilities. nothing
- Giancarlo (9/5): Superb - The nearest supermarket is in Motueka, the store point in Marahau is small and with just few goods.
We suggest to arrive with your own goods, unless you want to go to the restaurant every day. But the restaurants are very good.
- Margaret (9/5): Group of 8 enjoyed this spacious house at the foot of the Queen Charlotte sound national park - Huge bedrooms, enormous lounge dining area and a bonus snooker table for group entertainment. Plus nice outdoor spaces to enjoy. All happy with the facilities
- Kathy (9/5): Superb -
- Parker (10/5): excellent house and location, we will be back 😊 - great property, very clean well equipped house.
- Dianne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicoli (7/5): Good - Big and spacious, great for a big group No handwash and small bins in the bathrooms
- Fiona (8/5): Perfect 👍 - It was set up to accommodate lots of people
Location was great Not much to say - minor issue with no where to put food. The kitchen was so well equipped that there was no where to store/stash our food -as I said -a minor detail
- Hadee (10/5): 10/10 perfect stay, thank you! - The place was amazing, full facilities and enough space for our group to relax after a big kayak trip. The host let us check in early with very little notice and was accommodating when we wanted to add more people to our booking. Loved it, highly recommend, thank you for having us! Nothing, it was perfect.
- Innes (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (10/5): Exceptioal would recommend it to others -
