- kayak56 (10/5): Excellent 5 day stay at Barcelo Residences - Travelling with a friend for the first time to Dubai, we booked this hotel for a 5 day stay. We were very impressed with both the facility and the staff. We arrived very early in the morning after an overnight flight and we so relieved when we were able to check into our 2 bedroom apartment with only a short wait in the lobby. The location was excellent - we were close to the Hop on Bus stop for exploring our first day. (Be aware that traffic is VERY congested in Dubai so this can play a factor.)The front of house manager, Paul was so helpful with suggestions and he even walked us to the closest little market so we could purchase some small grocery items. I would like to also mention Theo and Chris who were in the front lobby and always greeted us with a smile and were so willing to assist us in any of our needs. Paul also told us about an Italian restaurant across the street , Massimo, which we tried on his recommendation and it was delightful. The hotel also gave us a card to use there which gave us a 20% discount on our meal. The apartment had a beautiful view of the mosque across the street. The washing machine was a big help and we enjoyed the loungers by the pool on several days when it was too hot in the afternoon to do much. I would highly recommend this hotel.

- C6430CMamye (8/5): Great location and value - We stayed on our first trip to Dubai and chose Barcelo Residences based on location and cost. We would absolutely recommend it for those reasons, it’s perfectly placed for easy walking access to the Marina and JBR. The positives were the friendly and helpful staff, location, spacious apartment, cleanliness and its overall great value for money. As a family of four with two children aged 12 and 17 we needed an apartment and not a hotel room and the apartment we stayed in gave us plenty of space with two large bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and large lounge dining area and a kitchen. The only negatives, if I’m being really picky, are that the bathrooms and kitchen in our apartment could do with some updating and tlc. That said, they were clean and provided all we needed. There is construction work nearby currently (but this is typical of Dubai in general) and it didn’t disrupt our stay. We stayed facing the marina on the 14th floor, the sunrise mosque calls did wake me most days but the rest of my family slept through it. So it wasn’t a major problem for us but if you have young children or are an especially light sleep maybe request a room on the opposite side of the building. The pool is small but served a purpose and the kids enjoyed a couple of trips there during our stay to cool off. Pool towels were provided too. We didn’t use the gym but it looked to be well equipped too. Bottled water was provided everyday for free. Overall we had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. I’m only giving 4 stars and not 5 due to the few negatives mentioned above but as I say these didn’t spoil our stay at all and certainly wouldn’t stop us returning. Thank you to all at Barcelo Residences!!

- I2315GAchrisc (10/5): Excellent choice - Apartment 706, 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms. The apartment was spacious, in a great location, clean and quiet (there was construction works going on next door, but we didn’t hear it). The master bedroom had two bedside tables with lamps, a desk area, large wardrobes, Air Conditioner control, TV, block-out curtains and a comfortable bed (not sure what size, but it was large). Second bedroom had two large single beds, block-out curtains, a small bedside table and lamp, plenty of storage, a TV and Air Conditioner control. The bedding and pillows in both rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We were very pleased that the air conditioning worked really well, as it was quite hot when we were there in October. There was a third control for the Air Conditioner for the living area. A well equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, coffee pod machine, toaster and kettle, dishwasher and microwave was very handy. The bathrooms were very luxurious with toiletries supplied and the bath was very welcome after a day sightseeing, however, a hairdryer would have been a good addition. The apartment was modern and tastefully decorated with a spacious open plan living/dining area. Our apartment had a wonderful view of the Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel which was quite spectacular at night with a colourful lighting display. We also had a partial sea view. Bottled water was supplied and replenished during our stay along with coffee pods and toiletries. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would gladly recommend the Barcelo Residences Dubai Marina to anyone planning a trip to Dubai.

- 245olegv (6/5): Good location, efficient staff, nice view from the window, but needs urgent refurbishment and start operating restaurant - From the point of view of location the hotel is vero convenient , especially if you need to stay in Dubai Marina, The rooms are spacious, good view on Marina. The problem is that they need to be refurbished. They have right now reconstruction in the hotel’s restaurant, so we didn’t have the option to eat or have drinks within hotel - the staff is offering discount cards in nearby restaurants and cafeteria. - RichWilliamsVO (10/5): The Perfect Stay - This was my first day at Barcelo, and it certainly won't be my last. I had a very warm welcome from all of the staff and throughout my visit everything was absolutely superb. The apartment is incredible and I had a lovely view down towards Dubai Marina in one direction and the ocean in the other. The bedroom was well appointed and the bed itself was super comfy. There was no bedside lamp but I mentioned it at reception and when I came back at the end of the day after my work, a lamp had been put there. Brilliant. The main seating area in the lounge is great and very comfortable with smart TVs in both the bedroom and the lounge. The kitchen was very well appointed with another than, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and the all important Nespresso coffee machine. There was an ample supply of tea, coffee etc each day. I walked down to the beach a couple of times which was lovely. I swam in the ocean rather than the swimming pool but the pool looks great as does the gym. I have no hesitation in recommending this place and special thanks to Perry Ahmed and Topher and I look forward to seeing you on my second visit

We arrived in the morning, checked in almost immediately, without waiting for 15-00. They gave me a good room, even as I understand it better and more than it was booked. The room has everything that was stated at the time of booking - a kitchen (refrigerator, stove, kettle, coffee machine, necessary utensils and a set for tea and coffee), a snow-white bed, a bathroom and a toilet are all as written. The hotel has a swimming pool and a gym on the 1st floor, everything worked according to schedule, without any problems. There are not enough wall clocks in the pool and gym (sometimes you swim in the pool, and to see the time, you need to go out and watch it on your phone). The solution always works, all questions and requests are always answered. It's nice to chat with the friendly Theo and Nafiz. The beach is just over 1 km away, but it's good. A representative of Voyage is located at the decision (Natalia was with us). I recommend that you watch the tours with them. I would like the deposit amount to be specified in advance when booking, as I plan my vacation expenses. I recommend this hotel for a choice of vacation or accommodation.

The rooms were clean, the staff was attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. *Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. - mariacL6615YA (10/5): Awesome stay - Amazing apartment 2 bedroom awesome view! Amazing service specially Topher, Hafiz, Perry. They will take care of you!. Super clean and location is perfevt by the Marina, Marina mall is wakable distance, lots of restaurants around the Marina. We enjoyed our stay.
- Agnes-Maria (10/5): - Ahmed on check in was extremely accommodating on our early arrival time. The staff would always greet us and offer information or advice about the local area. Housekeeping was everyday and the staff would be receptive to any request. Personally some of the kitchen utensils were not the best to cook with and the cooker was dated as the markings on the knobs had worn off. Dishwasher has a funny smell, so didn’t use it. Great views and great location. Loved the fact that there was parking and taxi pick up and drop off was easy access. Great size bedrooms, which was really comfortable. Sofa bed was easy to assemble too.

- nicoleaI2307HV (10/5): Barcelo Dubai Marina - The service at Barcelo was amazing especially Topher and Harfiz, the room was spacious and loved having a fridge and washing machine. I recommend Barcelo for long stays or traveling with a family. Also in a great area in the marina, close to many shops and restaurants

- RabeaB76 (10/5): Great stay on girls trip to Dubai - We went on a girls trip to Dubai with 2 friends who had never been before so we chose Barcelo residence and were not disappointed. The apartment was as is the pictures - bright, clean and spacious. Rooms were just right for 4 people; there were 3 loos and 2 bathrooms. We were on the 18th floor, the views were fantastic, albeit the building works, (which we were expecting from reading other reviews). People commented on the noise from the building works during the day and night - yes there was this but to be honest it did not affect our sleep after a whole day of exploring Dubai. If you are a light sleeper you may wish to consider another place to stay. However, we understood that Dubai is a constantly changing and developing high rise city and these works will have to happen day and night to get it to where it is. We heard the noise but weren’t that affected by it. The breakfast was a treat; they took our order on the day of arrival and delivered to our room each morning at a set time we wanted (between 7-10) We had to order in advance from a set menu for each person (we could change any individual order but had to give them at least a days notice.) The options were either 1. Continental (croissant, bread and cereal with condiments, cut fruit and juice), 2. Traditional (egg, roti type bread, some spicy beans with cut fruit and juice) 3. Healthy, (mixed oats and nuts cereal, rye bread, condiments with cut fruit and juice) 4. Can’t recall what the other option was as we don’t chose it (sorry) We loved the breakfast and enjoyed spending the morning in the apartment each day. All in all a really great stay for me and all my friends. I would definitely return snd would highly recommend it to others.

- parveen (10/5): 11 nights Family trip from Canada - Very comfortable stay, staff is very helpful and pleasant. all the attractions are 20-25 mins away, Marina is cross the road. Location is perfect. Supermarket is on walking distance. Tram station is 2 blocks away which connects to the Metro.

- kay (6/5): - The hotel or building need to remodel or renovate, it's out of dated. paint is coming off, floor is dirty, toilet push flush is not stable. need plug in outlet in the bathroom. need night lamp in the bedroom. The Bathroom fan won't shut off, so much noise if the door is open. bathroom door won't close has to push hard tobe able to close.

- Peter (6/5): Nice apartment, lovely view, great location - The apartment was great, comfortable and very spacious. The condition of some of the furnishings weren't great. We were disappointed that we were not warned there was construction right next door, and they worked 24 hours a day. We felt uncomfortable in the unit, the noise kept us awake. If we were sharing the unit, anyone in the 2nd bedroom would not have slept at all. The staff were lovely, everyone was so friendly and helpful.

- GAILE (8/5): - The Barcelo is in a very good location near to Dubai Marina and JBR beach, restaurants etc. The apartment was spacious and well maintained . The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. However, there was a building in progress over the road and another to the side. Working on the sites 24 hours a day was common, and that coupled with the Mosque (directly opposite) "Call to prayers" at 5am each day, disrupted sleep somewhat. The "value for money" was very good but bring ear plugs.

Servicen var fint, närhet till allt var underbart. Vi var ganska nöjda men för 4 veckors långt vistelse var byggnationer runt väldigt besvärligt.

Location is all right but due to the buildings next door, it was a little bit of hassle walking to JBR. The marina is a short walk away, but can be draining in the heat.
